Milo Manheim recently shared warm thoughts about Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater during an interview with People magazine. The actor spoke about his encounter with the couple at an off-Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors in New York City.
Manheim was joined by his friend and co-star Liz Gillies, who starred alongside Ariana in the hit series Victorious. Grande and Slater attended the show to support Manheim and Gillies, creating a reunion of theatre-loving friends.
When asked which celebrity he was most excited to see, Manheim didn’t hesitate. “The answer was Ethan,” he said with a smile. He recalled meeting the couple and said it felt natural and friendly.
“Hi Ariana, nice to meet you. Ethan, my brotha! What’s up?” he joked, remembering their interaction. Manheim expressed his admiration for Slater, especially after watching him in The SpongeBob Musical: Live on Stage! Which had over 300 performances.
Manheim explained that his bond with Ethan felt more personal. He had already heard a lot about Ariana through Liz Gillies, so meeting her felt like being introduced to one of Liz’s longtime friends.
He also praised the friendship between Ariana and Liz. “They’re both kind souls, both such theater girlies,” he said. He added that it was heartwarming to see them together in the audience, enjoying the show like two girls reliving their old theatre days.
Before ending the chat, Milo shared that seeing Ariana supporting Liz made the evening even more special. “It was really nice,” he said, noting how genuine the moment felt.
