A shocking incident in Tamil Nadu, India, made headlines after a man killed his wife and posted a selfie with her body on his WhatsApp status.
According to Indian media reports, the victim, Sri Priya, worked at a private firm and had been living away from her husband after differences rose between them. Her husband, Balamohan, visited her at the hostel where she was staying and hid a sharp weapon in his clothes.
Police said the couple argued soon after meeting each other. During the confrontation, Balamohan pulled out the hidden weapon and brutally attacked Priya, killing her on the spot.
What followed stunned everyone. Her husband took a selfie with her body and uploaded it on his WhatsApp status. He also claimed that she had “betrayed” him.
Chaos spread through the hostel as residents learned about the murder. However, instead of running away, Balamohan stayed at the scene and waited for police to arrive.
Officers reached the hostel, arrested him and recovered the murder weapon.
Initial investigation suggests that the suspect believed his wife was involved with another man, which fueled his actions.
