Indian comedian Zakir Khan is taking a break until 2030

Popular Indian comedian Zakir Khan has stunned his fans by announcing that he will take an extended break from comedy, potentially lasting until 2030, during a live show in Hyderabad.

Khan made the unexpected revelation during his “Papa Yaar” tour performance at a packed auditorium in Hyderabad. He told the audience that he plans to step away from comedy after completing his current commitments and scheduled programs.

“Two important things, I am going on a long, long break. 2028, 2029, possibly until 2030. It’s a three, four and five-year break. Will take care of health and other things. There are two or three things that need to be fixed,” Khan told the crowd.

He continued with an emotional message to those present. “Everyone here right now is very close to my heart. Your presence is nothing less than a blessing for me. I will remain grateful to every person present here.”

The announcement left the audience stunned into silence.

After the video clip went viral, Khan provided additional details and clarified that all shows scheduled through June will go ahead as planned.

He invited fans to attend these performances as a celebration and assured them the tour would not be excessively long. He thanked his supporters for their continued loyalty.

Zakir Khan has become one of the most recognisable names in Indian comedy. He shot to fame in 2012 after winning the title of India’s Best Stand Up on Comedy Central, which launched his career into the mainstream.

Beyond stand-up comedy, Khan has built a diverse entertainment portfolio.

He gained significant recognition for his role as Ronny in the Amazon Prime Video series “Chacha Vidhayak Hain Humare,” which showcased his acting abilities alongside his comedic talents.
