A Bengaluru-based advocate and a former convener of the Indian militant Hindutva youth organisation Bajrang Dal have filed police complaints seeking an FIR against Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan for public indecency, obscene gestures, insulting the modesty of women, and disturbing public order, Indian meda have reported.

Advocate S Owaiz Hussain from Sankey Road and Tejas A Gowda from Jayanagar filed the complaints.

Hussain said he filed the complaint on behalf of the public, demanding immediate action against Aryan Khan for his conduct at a party held at a pub in Ashoknagar police limits on November 28.

Several women were present at the party when Aryan Khan flipped the middle finger. The complaint described the act as vulgar, sexually suggestive, and humiliating, and said it directly insulted the modesty of women.

Tejas Gowda also requested strict police action against Aryan Khan and urged authorities to act against Mohammed Haris Nalapad, son of BDA chairman NA Haris, and Zaid Khan, son of Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan, who were reportedly present at the pub.

Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara said police are investigating the matter and action will be taken based on their findings.

Teenage girl sets herself on fire after ‘rapist’ gets acquitted

A teenager critically injured herself on Friday by attempting self-immolation with petrol after a local court in Sadiqabad acquitted three people accused of raping her.

According to reports, the incident occurred near a treatment plant on Dipalpur Road, shortly after Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Azeem Sheikh announced the verdict, giving the three suspects the benefit of the doubt.

The 13-year-old victim, from Baga Hithar village within the jurisdiction of the Ganda Singh Police Station, sprinkled petrol on her body and then set herself on fire. Passersby immediately intervened, rescuing the young woman, but not before she sustained serious burns.

She was first rushed to DHQ Hospital and then referred to Lahore’s Jinnah Hospital in a critical condition.

The case dates back to 2022. The victim’s father filed the FIR, stating the suspect, a policeman, allegedly raped his daughter and threatened her with severe consequences, compelling her to remain silent. The prosecution argued that the man raped and impregnated the girl inside the house of a female suspect.

Two female relatives of the policeman were also charged; one for allegedly aiding the rapist, and the other for forcing the victim to take abortion pills. The court, however, acquitted all three individuals.

Following the acquittal, District Police Officer Essa Khan Sukhaira ordered the Superintendent of Police (SP) Investigation to launch an inquiry. The SP will investigate potential flaws in the initial investigation that might have led to the court’s decision.

A police spokesman reportedly told a media outlet that the police had already dismissed the accused cop from service after an internal police investigation found him guilty when the incident was initially reported.

He stated that the court based its acquittal on the findings of DNA profiling.

  • ‘Who do you think you are?’: ISPR chief lashes out at ‘mentally ill’ Khan in fiery presser

‘Who do you think you are?’: ISPR chief lashes out at ‘mentally ill’ Khan in fiery presser

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry on Friday trained guns at incarcerated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan without naming him for spreading what he described as an “anti-army” narrative.

Addressing a press conference in Rawalpindi, the ISPR chief warned of a “creeping national security threat”, saying that the military felt compelled to address the rhetoric that had moved beyond politics.

He referred to Khan as a “delusional person” captive to his own ego, claiming that the jailed former premier believed his wishes outweighed those of the state.

The ISPR chief said that the narrative being pushed was a matter of national security and it was important for the military’s media wing to clarify and remove ambiguities, noting that the rhetoric was being advanced in collusion with external actors.

He reiterated that the armed forces represented all regions, religions and communities of Pakistan, but once in uniform, they set aside personal affiliations.

“We strive and die daily for the people of Pakistan and for the integrity of Pakistan,” he said, adding that the military largely came from middle and lower socio-economic classes and did not represent elitism or political actors.

Lt Gen Chaudhry warned that if the armed forces and their leadership were attacked for reasons of ego or narcissism, they would respond firmly. He urged political parties to keep their politics away from the military, saying the army did not want to be dragged into political disputes.

He outlined how Khan’s rhetoric was harming the armed forces, stressing that no one could be allowed to create divisions between the people and the military. The ISPR chief also said the army was the only shield standing between Pakistan and external threats, including India’s Hindutva mindset and terrorist groups operating from Afghanistan.

Without naming anyone, Lt Gen Chaudry referred to the jailed PTI founder saying: “His ego and desires have grown to such an extent that he says if not me, then nothing.”

Declaring ex-PM Khan “mentally ill”, he questioned what kind of Constitution and law was it under which you meet a convicted person.

Citing Articles 17 and 19 of the Constitution, he said they permit freedom of expression and political activity, but it was subject to reasonable restrictions that protect the security and integrity of the state.

“We respect Pakistan’s political leadership but keep the army away from your politics,” the military’s spokesperson said, adding that they would not allow anyone to create a rift between Pakistan’s army and the people.

The military spokesperson also said Khan tried to stop remittances, wrote to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to block agreements with Pakistan, encouraged civil disobedience and urged followers to target army leadership.

Lt Gen Chaudhry said the “mentally disturbed individual” had recently posted a tweet and asked his supporters to target military leadership that stood firm against an enemy eight times stronger in the Operation Bunyan um Marsoos.

He said such actions could only benefit hostile actors outside Pakistan.

During the nearly two hours long presser, Lt Gen Chaudhry also showed screenshots of Khan’s tweets and video messages of his loyalists, alleging that troll accounts operated from abroad were amplifying the narrative.

He also said Indian media and intelligence-linked accounts were spreading the rhetoric while Afghan social media was also involved.

Earlier, the ISPR chief spoke of the propaganda spread over the notification of the chief of defence forces, describing it as “a flood of lies”.

He questioned what kind of politics of freedom of expression it was. “Please grow up. Talk about real issues,” he said, adding that even routine military news was being used to generate propaganda.

  • Pakistan rejects claims of using Israeli spyware

Pakistan rejects claims of using Israeli spyware

Pakistan has rejected allegations reported in an Amnesty International report about the use of Israeli-made spyware in the country, describing it as an attempt to undermine Pakistan’s reputation.

A senior intelligence officer on the condition of anonymity told a private news outlet, “There is not an iota of truth in it,” and dismissed all such claims as baseless.

The investigation conducted by Amnesty International, named Intellexa Leaks, centered around a case involving a human rights lawyer in Pakistan. The report claims that the lawyer was sent a dubious link on WhatsApp from an unidentified number during the summer of 2025.

Amnesty’s Security Lab examined the link and concluded it was an attempt to deploy Predator spyware. Predator is a surveillance tool produced by the Israeli firm Intellexa.

The investigation was based on leaked internal documents from Intellexa, which included company materials, sales and marketing data, and training videos. It was released in partnership with Inside Story in Greece, Haaretz in Israel, and WAV Research Collective in Switzerland.

In 2023, Intellexa was penalized by the Greek Data Protection Authority for its lack of cooperation with regulatory probes. The report also highlighted that Google alerted hundreds of users in various countries, including Pakistan, about potential spyware threats related to Predator.

Amnesty International stated that Predator has the capability to access encrypted messaging apps, emails, device locations, call logs, contacts, screenshots, and the cameras and microphones on devices. This spyware can be introduced through a “1-click” attack, which necessitates the target clicking on a harmful link. The harvested data is then uploaded to a Predator server and routed through Intellexa’s CNC Anonymization Network to mask the identities of the operators.

The report further described Intellexa’s “Aladdin” infection strategy, which enables silent zero-click infections using commercial mobile advertising networks, allowing devices to be compromised without any user action. Amnesty noted that Predator is primarily marketed for governmental applications, and Intellexa’s internal operations largely escape external oversight.

A Pakistani intelligence official reiterated that allegations connecting the country to Predator spyware activities are groundless, asserting that the report aims to damage Pakistan’s international reputation.

  • Govt to roll out AI app to curb illegal travel

Govt to roll out AI app to curb illegal travel

The federal government has decided to tighten action against people trying to travel abroad on fake documents, ordering a fresh crackdown on visa fraud and the agent mafia.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Salik Hussain presided over the meeting where the decision was made.

Officials agreed that in order to make travel easier for passengers, changes would be made to the immigration process and the present procedure for issuing protection must be made fully foolproof. Within a week, the ministries had requested final proposals.

Authorities were also directed to launch strict action against groups involved in selling fake visas.

An AI-based app is being launched as a pilot project to reduce illegal travel, Mohsin Naqvi told the meeting. He added that there will be no tolerance for fraudulent visas and the agent networks that support them, and that this system will assist in determining who is truly able to travel and who is not.

Additionally, he stated that deported individual’s passports would be revoked and that measures would be made to prevent them from receiving visas in the future. A unified international driving license will now be issued by the National Police Bureau.

Naqvi said people who go abroad through illegal routes damage Pakistan’s reputation, and that the reforms aim to both facilitate citizens and improve the country’s global standing.

The Minister for Overseas Pakistanis added that workers travelling on labour visas must carry genuine, verifiable documents, and said the ministry will fully assist in strengthening the protector and immigration systems.
