The Lahore High Court (LHC) has suspended Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah’s arrest warrant today (Friday) in an inquiry related to the purchase of plots in a housing society. The court also stopped the Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) from arresting the minister and raiding his house.
According to Adviser to Punjab Chief Minister for Anti-Corruption, retired Brigadier Musaddiq Abbasi, Sanaullah had taken two plots as a “bribe” from an “illegal housing society” known as the Bismillah Housing Scheme in Chakwal district.
The court has sought case record from ACE by October 17.
On October 10, an ACE team said that they couldn’t arrest the minister because Islamabad police didnt cooperate with them.
Earlier, a judicial magistrate issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for the federal minister over his non-appearance in an anti-corruption inquiry.

He said that he has told his family that he would murder Maryam if Khan was illegally arrested.
The man said that he would prefer to remain a worker and did not want any post in the party. However, he said that he would not like anything illegal done to Imran Khan.
Surprisingly, when the man was passing these remarks, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former National Assembly (NA) Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri was sitting there, smiling.
Talal Chaudhry took to Twitter to blame Khan for the threats. “After losing by-elections in NA-108, where Imran Khan himself was a candidate, they are issuing threats now.”
Chaudhry also urged the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and police to take action against the threats.

The International Monetary Fund stated that it is awaiting the assessment reports from the World Bank and UNDP as well as the economic destruction brought on by the country’s severe flooding before determining how it might assist Pakistan.
According to Geo, the international lender announced that as part of the preparations for the upcoming review, it will also dispatch a delegation the following month after the annual meetings.
But the IMF made it clear that it would hold off until the UNDP and World Bank completed their assessments of the damages.
At a news conference in Washington on Thursday, Jihad Azour, the IMF’s Director of the Middle East and Central Asia Department, stated that “We were saddened by the loss of human as well as livelihood in Pakistan with the flood, and we present, and we reiterate our condolences to the people of Pakistan. The Fund has been very supportive of Pakistan over the last few years. We have a programme with Pakistan that has been extended and increased in size.
According to Azour, the Fund took these actions to provide Pakistan more flexibility during the Covid-19 crisis in order to help the government deal with the confluence of shocks.
When talking about subsidies, the director remarked “Targeted subsidies that promote certain products have not been found to be highly beneficial. It has shown to be extremely regressive, “added he.
Azour said that the Fund urges Pakistan and other nations to stop giving out ineffective subsidies that waste money. He further emphasised that the IMF supports nations in allocating these resources to those who are in most need.
Former Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed has said that he has gone into depression after witnessing the situation of his constituency.
“The conditions are so bad in my constituency that I am thinking from the past two to three days that I should make a big decision. I am thinking of making a decision against myself. I can not bear to see any of this. I am at the extreme end of my depression, I can do anything,” said Rasheed while speaking in ARY News programme, 11th Hour.
Speaking with journalist Waseem Badami, Rasheed said, “I am sorry to say, I love our army and our institutions but this is the first time I have disassociated myself from them. I am not in a position to tell them that whatever is happening, it is need of the hour that the respect and dignity of the institutions do not get insulted.”
“I am saying this with a lot of honesty, no one will be able to stop this fire. Neither Imran Khan will be able to stop it nor Sheikh Rasheed. The army will get respect in abundance, if they conduct fair and free elections and give power to the one winning the elections,” stated Rasheed.
Badami interjected and asked, “So you think this hasn’t happened before? “Not in my opinion”, responded Rasheed.
Federal Minister for Interior, Rana Sanaullah, has warned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan about his party’s long march, saying, “Jab yeh long march ke liye aayeinge [Islamabad], iss ko pakar kar ulta kardeinge” (We will hang Khan upside down if he takes his long march into Islamabad).
In Geo News’ programme “Capital Talk”, the minister replied to remarks made by Imran Khan himself. Earlier, Khan said even if Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif and Sanaullah turn upside down, they wouldn’t be able to stop the long march.
The federal minister also said that there is a possibility of Khan and other party leaders being arrested during the long march.
During the show, Sanaullah claimed that Khan doesn’t know about the steps the government would take.
Despite repeating that the nation should remain ready for the march, Imran Khan hasn’t announced the date yet, claiming that he has completed the planning.
When asked about PTI’s Senator Azam Swati’s arrest, the federal minister justified the incarceration, saying that Azam’s tweet tried to defame institutions and the tweet was objectionable.
pic.twitter.com/dt9UJBE7eG
On October 12, Swati tweeted against Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa. Following this, he was arrested in the early hours of the morning by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
According to reports on social media, up to 500 bodies were allegedly found on the rooftop of the hospital, however, the exact number remains unknown.
Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister’s Advisor, Chaudhry Zaman Gujjar, visited the hospital and discovered numerous putrid bodies on the hospital roof. He ordered health authorities to take action against the concerned staff and instructed that the abandoned bodies be cremated. Dawn was informed by a student at Nishtar Medical University that the students were using the bodies for medical research. He claimed that the victims had already been put to use in these experiment and had been left on the roof so that bones and skulls could be removed for future medical study.
Moonis Elahi shared a message from the Head of Department (HOD) of Anatomy at Nishtar Medical University Multan.
An official inquiry has been launched. Pls read initial reply: Respected Sir, These are the unknown dead bodies handed over by the police to Nishtar Medical university Multan for post mortem and if required to be used for teaching purpose for MBBS students. https://t.co/NhGFYWsGYj
Many emojis, in the opinion of Generation Z, should be avoided at the office. Thumbs-up and love emoticons are for older people, according to a new global poll of 2,000 adults between the ages of 16 and 29.
A Reddit member recently asked whether they should feel comfortable using the thumbs-up emoji as an adult or not. A discussion between Gen Z and Millennials was triggered by this.
The thumbs-up emoji, according to a 24-year-old, might be passive-aggressive. However, according to millennials, it means accepting a demand. Another user remarked that they always use it in business interactions and questioned why it should be unpleasant.
Another woman claimed that most of the group members chose to reply with a thumbs-up emoji in their official team WhatsApp discussion. To them, this seemed a little hostile.
The following emojis indicate that you are rude:
Thumbs up
Red Heart ❤️
Blaring crying -face
Checkmark ✔
Poop
Ok
Monkey covering the eyes
Clapping hands
Kiss symbol with lipstick
Frown face ☹️
Emojis, or “picture characters” in Japanese, first appeared in Japan in the late 1990s and then spread over the world in 2011. Emojis have become a significant part of our society in the twenty-first century and have permeated every aspect of existence.
According to the New York Post, more than 5 billion emojis are sent daily on Facebook’s Messenger app alone by the 3.2 billion Internet users in the world.
Actor Sana Fakhar has officially announced her divorce from her husband Fakhar jaffri after fourteen years of marriage.
Taking it to her Instagram account, she officially announced the news. Sana wrote: “Breakups hurt. But sometimes breaking a relationship is so mandatory to save yourself to break so much. With all the respect me and Fakhar after several years of marriage through highs and lows decided to take a separate path.”
“It’s heartbreaking but… I strongly believe that God has better plans for both of us. All the best Fakhar Jaffri, concluded Sana.”
The duo got married in 2008 and have been together for 14 years. The couple was known to be the most stable couples from the film fraternity. Sana and Fakhar are parents to two sons.
Last year Sana responded to criticism and backlash she received for sharing a PDA-filled picture with her former husband on his birthday.
The post in which Sana had wished her husband on his birthday and thanked him “for reminding [her] how butterflies feel like,” had irked the moral brigade who heavily criticised the veteran actor, forcing her to limit the comments section on her post.
Later, responding to the backlash and hate, Fakhar in an Instagram live video said: “I can understand your pain and agony.”
“But what is it that you didn’t appreciate?” she continued. “The ‘act’? Or the person I did the said act with? It was too much. But thank you, though. I think criticism is your right. Whatever you wanted to say, you did. But it’s fine.”
She went on to say that she doesn’t really mind what people thought about the picture.
“What you say, the kind of words you use, really says a lot about the way you have been brought up. I was called names, abused over a picture. But I received love more than hate.”
“I do believe that even criticism is a form of love. It’s just a part of life,” Fakhar added.
The Lollywood heroine went on to say: “Haters don’t exist in my life. I only have love around me. I even have respect for people who discuss anything about me. Whatever you share, please do. I don’t mind. You have that access into my life and I am the one who gave you the said access. We aren’t angels. It’s not the end of the world if you abused me.”
Sana concluded her live video saying that instead of paying heed to the hate, she has decided to love the people who admire her to be the best version of herself.
Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai recently visited flood-affected areas of Pakistan. In an Instagram post Malala said that Malala fund has committed emergency grants to local organisations in Pakistan to support flood relief.
“This week, I returned to Pakistan to visit communities and hear from young women and educators impacted by this summer’s devastating floods that destroyed an estimated 24,000 schools. Half of those were in Sindh,” she wrote in the instagram post.
“The destruction is astounding. Some villages are still sunk under water. People are waiting for their homes, schools, hospitals and shops to be repaired and reconstructed. And the psychosocial and economic impact, especially women and girls, cannot be overstated. Governments — federal and provisional — need to accelerate response and ensure people get the resources they need to survive, and to return to their lives and education. @malalafund has committed emergency grants to local organisations in Pakistan to support flood relief.”
“Sohaila, 16, was in grade 10. “I want to go to school, but there is so much water. If there was less water, I’d even go through it. Now we are hearing that the flood waters will stay for five months,” she said. She wants to be a doctor but worries she may never go back to school. I hope leaders will listen to Sohaila and every girl like her.”
“And I hope the international community and country leaders can continue to provide emergency aid and ensure girls can safely return to school soon.”
As many as 33 million people of the 220 million South Asian nation have been affected in some way by the floods that swept away houses, roads, railways and bridges and submerged around 4 million acres of farmland.
