    Yasir Hussain flaunts Kabir’s first gold ring, Sonya Hussyn pays a visit

    Yasir Hussain has shared a picture of his son, in which the Jhooti star is flaunting Kabir’s first gold ring gifted by his paternal aunt.

    Taking to Instagram, he wrote: “Phuppo ka tohfa.. tohfa tohfa tohfa.”

    “Kabir ki is tasweer mai 2 cheezen bohot ghalat hain 1 toh sona (gold) mard pe haraam hai. 2nd dekho zara boy ko pink kapry pehna diye hain . is se pehly k aap banen mai hi Proud Pakistani social media user ban jata hun,” Yasir wrote sarcastically.

    Earlier, Sonya Hussyn paid Iqra Aziz and Yasir a visit to see their baby boy Kabir.

    “Kabir was delighted to see his star phuppo,” Yasir wrote, sharing a photo of Sonya holding Kabir in her arms. “And phuppo’s face reflects her happiness, too.”

    Iqra and Yasir announced on July 23 that they became parents to a baby boy, Kabir Hussain.

    After the heavy downpour in the capital leading to urban flooding, President Arif Alvi extended his concern for the people of Islamabad.

    Taking to Twitter, Alvi tweeted, “I am confident that Islamabad’s administration are doing their job well but if need be, I am ready with my boat.”

    He was responding to a tweet where Alvi can be seen rowing a boat in Karachi in 2017 when he was an MNA.

    Twitterati extended support to the president.

    A Twitter user wrote, “He is following the steps of Ex-Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab.

    Our President is also a ‘memer’.

    Following two deaths and widespread flooding in the federal capital, Islamabad Commissioner Amir Ahmed has ordered a probe in this regard.

    Meanwhile, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) said all officers and employees have been asked to remain on high alert for the next week in light of the heavy downpour.

    On July 19, Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty’s entrepreneur husband Raj Kundra was arrested by Mumbai Police for allegedly producing and distributing pornographic films through mobile apps.

    The Mumbai Crime Branch continues to investigate the adult film racket case that has come to the surface. Indian media has reported that the Baazigar diva broke down and shouted at the businessman asking him: “What was the need to do all this, we have everything, what was the need to do all this?” during the raid at their residence.

    Shilpa shouted at Kundra when he was brought to their home in Mumbai by the police for the first time since his arrest. “We have everything, what was the need to do all this?”

    The Hungama 2 star added that the “family’s reputation was ruined”, their endorsements in the industry were being cancelled, and that she had to give up many projects. 

    Mumbai Police confirmed that a case was filed in February 2021 and Raj Kundra was the “key conspirator” in the complaint.

  • Did President Alvi call Noor Mukadam’s murder an ‘isolated incident’?

    President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi took to Twitter yesterday to condemn the video of a man who forced a Hindu worker of the Thar coal project to mock and hurl abuse at his religious deities.

    Three tweets were sent from the official handle of the President of Pakistan to condemn the act, but one of his tweets was taken out of context by many social media users.

    “Our society should remain alert. Such isolated ugly incidents are used to give a bad name to the country. I condemn it and I assure all citizens that we in Riasat-e-Madina cannot and will not allow this to happen.”

    This tweet was widely shared by social media users in the context of Noor Mukadam’s case and in the context of rising violence against women in the country.

    President Alvi then took to his personal Twitter account to clarify the context of the tweet.

    The man was arrested by the Sindh police from District Badin.

    Spokesperson Sindh government Murtaza Wahab tweeted that he had been arrested:

    President of Pakistan’s Twitter handle tweeted that the man was arrested after President Alvi took notice of the incident.

    Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Inam Ghani in a tweet has assured to provide space and unbiased space to the victims of abuse and harassment.

    “While victims of abuse and harassment are bravely trying to take action against the perpetrators, they are pressurised, threatened and silenced by the very same perpetrators through their position, relations, financial position or network of connections,” wrote Inam Ghani in a tweet.

    “In all such instances, the public should know and remember that my office is always open for all victims and vulnerable persons as a safe, unbiased space and we will support every victim who approaches us, to our best capabilities.”

    “No injustice will be tolerated and protection and support will be given to all those who need it. Call 1787 in any such situation, in which case it will be given priority by me personally.”

    IG Punjab’s tweets came after Noor Mukadam was beheaded in Islamabad.

    Police rescue woman tied with chains, locked up by brothers

    Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police rescued a woman tied with the chains and locked up in a dark room by her brothers for over a year on Tuesday.

    As per reports, police have arrested the three brothers identified as Sahir Khan, Faheem Khan, and Nadeem Khan while the fourth brother is on the run. 

    Talking to The Express Tribune, District Police Officer (DPO) Swabi Muhammad Shoaib said they had received information about the woman they raided the house after confirmation and released her from the illegal captivity.

    Mohammad Shoaib further told the media that the woman was living with her brothers after her divorce. “She wanted to move the court to claim her children’s expenses from her ex-husband but her brothers did not want this.”

    “There was not even a fan inside the room. When we raided the house, we saw that she had been chained like an animal and the only light coming into the room was through a window,” said another police official.

    The policeman added that the woman had been imprisoned as her brothers blamed her for the divorce and were also against her seeking a job. 

    The woman stated in her FIR that she got married 13 years ago and had two children, a girl and a boy. A case has been filed against the accused and an investigation is underway.

    Punjab police set to visit Turkey for the investigation of Engin Altan’s complaint against Kashif Zameer

    A team of Punjab police is set to head Turkey for further investigation of Engin Altan’s complaint against TikToker Kashif Zameer.

    The officials will record statements of the Turkish actor and collect the agreement and fraudulent cheques issued by the accused Kashif Zameer.

    The team will be led by SP Investigation Ali bin Tariq. IG Punjab has sent a letter to the government at the request of Lahore police to get the blue passport for team members and permission for investigation.

    A fraud case was registered against Kashif Zameer at Race Course police station on the complaint of the Ertugrul hero, Engin Altan.
