A famous scientist from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has been found allegation of research corruption. According to the research of NIH Dr. Eliezer Maslia, who was the director of the neuroscience division at the National Institute on Aging. In two studies he reused and mislabeled images. These investigations were started last year and NIH has informed to relevant scientific journals for appropriate action.

Dr Maslia, who is famous for the research on the loss of synapses in neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. From 1997 to 2023 he also has faced allegations in more than 100 Suspicious images in research papers. In recent times, he is not holding the post of Division Director, and even he did not any comment on this matter.

This matter has raised many questions about research ethics and integrity in the scientific community. Research corruption not only creates hurdles in the way of scientific progress but also affects public trust. Clear investigations and announcement of results on behalf of NIH, reflects that the institute is committed to maintaining research quality and ethics.
