Did Diljit Dosanjh gift his G-Wagon to crying fan?

Indian singer Diljit Dosanjh continues to win hearts worldwide not just with his music but with his deep connection to fans.

On 16 November 2024, during his ongoing Dil- Luminati Tour 2024, a fan caught the attention of many as she was seen crying while singing along to his song ‘Dil Tenu De Dita Main Ta Sohneya.’

Though many fans could relate to the heartfelt moment, others took to social media to troll her for showing her emotions so openly.

The incident quickly went viral sparking baseless rumors that Diljit gifted his luxurious G- Wagon to the emotional fan (Khushi).  Speculations gathered pace quickly but Diljit and his team have not confirmed it.

During his next concert in Hyderabad, the Crew actor responded to the online backlash, using the platform to defend the girl.

“Music brings out emotions. It makes people smile, dance, fight, fall, and even cry. I have cried many times while listening to music. Only those who feel deeply can cry, and I know you have that in you. Don’t worry about it,” Diljit shared.

No one can stop these girls, they are independent and capable, both men and women now earn for themselves. They work hard and enjoy life, Insulting women means insulting the daughters of the nation, he added.

On his Instagram, he posted a video of his concert with the caption: “A woman who knows her worth doesn’t need validation, she shines bright enough to light her own way.”

Celebrities from Pakistan, like Ushna Shah, have also supported the young woman who went viral for crying and singing at the DD concert. Ushna shared her thoughts on Instagram, explaining that the moment was deeply meaningful for the girl, and it was unfortunate that many online creators responded with trolling.

Diljit’s Dil-Luminati Tour 2024 has been a big hit, with all concert tickets sold, and the grand finale is set for December 29 in Guwahati India.

Earlier, during his Dil-luminati tour in Delhi, Indian Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh touched millions of hearts with kindness.

A viral video showed a young fan enjoying the Dosanjh concert from her terrace near Diljit concert asking, “Diljit uncle thoda tez chila dou.”

He responded on Instagram saying, “Beta, come I have tickets for you and your family.”

True to his word, Diljit gifted passes to the girl and her uncle for the next show.

The girl Naina’s uncle Kunal Sharma thanked Diljit in an Instagram post.

“Thank You  Diljit Sir for making  our Day ,You made our day providing  us FANpit passes,” Kunal Sharma wrote.

Junaid Khan dreams of working with these two Indian superstars

Popular actor Junaid Khan wants to work with Indian superstar Diljit Dosanjh and Bollywood playback artist Arijit Singh, calling them the best singers of the present era.

Khan, also known as a singer, appeared on the comedy program Gap Shab, where he discussed various aspects of his life and career.

He shared that although he holds a degree in mining engineering from abroad, he has never worked in the field.

“I have never worked in mining and don’t desire to. I’ve been passionate about singing since childhood, which led me to pursue a career as a singer. Later, after appearing in my music videos, I developed an interest in acting,” he explained.

Khan recalled the early years of his acting career, stating, “Jawad Bashir offered me my first acting role as a musician, which I accepted. Over time, I’ve taken on various other roles.”

Sharing his admiration for films, he mentioned his love for action and comedy genres, and expressed his liking for actors from Bollywood: Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan. He also revealed “past” fondness for Indian actress Madhuri Dixit, and that he now likes Kiara Advani.

When asked about his preferences between singing and acting, Junaid Khan admitted that he finds more satisfaction in singing. “In acting, I perform on the instructions of others on a story written by someone else, so I find more comfort in singing,” he said.

Junaid Khan also expressed a desire to collaborate with Indian artists, reflecting on his past experiences with Indian projects.

“I have worked on several Indian projects in the past and have learned a lot [from the experience]. I still wish that the relations between the two countries would improve so that artists from both countries could support each other,” he shared.

He acknowledged the challenges posed by strained relations between India and Pakistan but also expressed a sense of hope. “Indian filmmakers want to cast Pakistani actors, and here, our artists and singers also want to work in India, but it’s impossible because of deteriorating relations between the two countries.”

While Junaid Khan continues to hope for improved relations between the two countries, he admitted “If given the chance, I would love to work with Diljit Dosanjh and Arijit Singh. Both are exceptional artists doing outstanding work.”

  • ‘Marrying Faysal Quraishi was an escape,’ says Sana Faysal

‘Marrying Faysal Quraishi was an escape,’ says Sana Faysal

What leads someone to make a life-changing decision during a difficult time? For Sana Faysal, it was marrying actor Faysal Quraishi.

Appearing as a guest on her husband’s podcast, Sana opened up about her struggles during a difficult time in her life. She shared how she was going through a very tough period and felt like she needed an escape back during divorce from her first husband.

“At the time of my divorce, I was going through a very tough period. To be honest… I was looking for an escape. I married Faysal as an escape for myself… to get out of here,” she said.

Sana admitted that she started having doubts shortly after their marriage.

“After marriage… just a few days later… I started thinking, ‘what have I done?’… I didn’t understand [it]. I called my sister… I think. She told me that she didn’t get it either,” Sana said, adding that she then called her maternal aunt and cousin, with whom she had a little conversation about it all.

Sana also talked about the wedding ceremony. “We had a very simple wedding, and it was in Ramazan…”

Reflecting on societal perceptions, she highlighted the judgement that often follows celebrity marriage, particularly when one has been previously divorced.

“I don’t know if it’s the same here… but in Punjab, the culture is completely different. If someone comes from a showbiz family, and if their previous marriages didn’t work out, we tend to think that the person is at fault. If the fault is theirs, how did it go on for 14 years?”

Sana Faysal and Faysal Quraishi tied the knot in 2010.

Earlier, renowned actor Faysal Quraishi’s wife, Sana Faisal, has given a karara response to an Instagram user who asked about her age.

Faysal Quraishi and his wife, Sana Faysal, are often seen sharing pictures with each other on their social media.

Faysal Quraishi shared a collaborative post on Instagram with his wife in which he congratulated his companion on their wedding anniversary and referred to her as ‘Sana Ji.’

He captioned his post, “14 years of memories, laughter, and tears. I’m so grateful to share it all with you. Happy anniversary.”

In response, well-known personalities congratulated the couple on their wedding anniversary and wished them well for the future.

All the same, a female user asked Sana Faysal about her age, “How much older are you than Faysal Bhai?” To which Sana Faysal responded, “I am 10 to 12 years older. I hope your burning chest has cooled down.”

Suddenly, Sana Faysal’s response went viral, being shared by many other pages.

While some users are appreciating Sana Faysal’s answer, others believe it was a simple question to which Sana could have given a simple answer.

‘I can’t even sleep at night’: Nimra Khan on social media trolling

The pressure to keep up the perfect image on social media is tough for famous people, and actress Nimra Khan is no exception. Dealing with constant judgement and criticism , the Bhool actress has opened up about how tolling has impacted her mental health

Rabbina Shirjeel said to her, “On social media, you shared happy pictures, but you didn’t share what you were actually going through at the time. Do you think, as a society, we have become too dependent on the idea that we must always share happy pictures?”

Nimra Khan replied, “Tell me, all of you sitting here, don’t you all have your own struggles in life? Everyone is fighting their own battles. Would you feel like opening social media at 11 or 12 at night and seeing everyone’s struggles? People prefer to see happy, uplifting content to distract themselves. So, I feel that society doesn’t offer us acceptance. If you post something good, you’ll receive good feedback. But if you share something that reflects your pain, you’ll be met with endless judgments. “

The Blind Love actress also discussed how people’s comments on her social media posts can affect her deeply.

“During this phase of my life, I learned that people’s perspectives are not my reality. That’s why I don’t even open the comment section. What I wear, how I feel, I know my reasons for it. But people don’t know, and they’ll comment on it in a second. People think we are unaffected by it, but it does affect us a lot. Sometimes, I can’t even sleep at night because of it,”  Nimra said.

Nimra also addressed a deeper issue close to her heart, sharing a message about personal safety.

“I just wanted to tell people on social media, ‘Don’t focus on me. Focus on the crime.’ Every girl has the right to walk freely just like men roam freely on the streets. Why do we need to leave the country to achieve this sense of security? We should have it here, within our own country, within our own boundaries, she said

Nimra then talked about the pressure to present personal life on social media.

“Sometimes, it’s a good distraction, a positive one, but is it beneficial for you or them? You may deny your pain for a while, but eventually, you heal and move forward. But still, there is pressure from social media — it has become a trend to show that everything is happy and perfect. There’s this added pressure that you must look happy and act happy,” she concluded.

  • ‘I didn’t accept it’; Usama Khan rejected THIS famous drama

‘I didn’t accept it’; Usama Khan rejected THIS famous drama

What makes a rising star turn down a promising role in a highly anticipated project? Actor Usama Khan opened up about his surprising decision to reject drama serial Noor Jahan and how that choice shaped his path to becoming the lead in Ghair.

Appearing as a guest on Fuchsia, the Sunn Mere Dil  actor shared how his role in drama serial Ghair came about and even revealed that he turned down a key offer for another major project.

Usama Khan said, “I was also offered Noor Jahan, but I didn’t accept it. I felt there were too many people involved. And even now, I feel like I’m on the right path. But it was a good story. I told Mussadiq Malik (Noor Jahan director) that it was a good story, and I’ve always wanted to work with him.”

The Qarz-e- Jahan actor shared that he wasn’t initially planning to take on the drama Ghair but conversations with costars Ushna Shah and director Angeline changed everything.

“I was doing a telefilm with Angeline. I wasn’t going to do the telefilm initially, but then I had a conversation with Angeline, and she said, ‘Do it.’ Then Ushna asked, ‘What are you doing these days?’ I replied, ‘Nothing.’ She said, ‘Then let’s do a drama.’ From there, Ghair came into the picture. She spoke to Nadeem Bhai, and Nadeem Bhai gave me Ghair,” Usama Khan explained.

When asked which character he was offered in Noor Jahan, Usama playfully replied, “I wouldn’t tell you.”

Earlier, in a recent interview with Mahwish Ajaz, the Sunn Mere Dil actor opened up about playing the role in Ghair and how fame has changed his life.

Talking about his character, Usama explained, “When I discussed it with Yasir Bhai (Director), we thought of taking Salis out of the category of ‘hero’. If we make Salis a hero, then tomorrow someone might accuse him, saying that he got married and the next day he will fall in love with someone else. Their chemistry will develop, and it shouldn’t be like that with Salis. I think we have overdone the idea of red and green flags. So, I think it’s always like this, when we see a story, everyone is the hero of their own story.”

Usama Khan described his character Salis as indecisive and “a mama’s boy”.

“Salis is someone who can’t make decisions, an indecisive person, he is a mama boy. If you look at people in his age group, you’ll notice that the clothes they wear are very colorful. Normally, people who are sorted don’t wear such colorful things. They prefer black, white, and grey – those are the sorted colors. All of Sali’s energy, his brain energy, is probably spent in his wardrobe, and he hasn’t paid much attention elsewhere,” Khan added.

  • ‘Into the New World’: the K-pop song that became South Korea’s protest anthem

‘Into the New World’: the K-pop song that became South Korea’s protest anthem

A cheerful song by one of the most successful K-pop girl groups has emerged as a protest anthem for thousands of South Koreans rallying for President Yoon Suk Yeol’s impeachment.

“There’s a rough road ahead of us,” sang the demonstrators in unison, gathered daily outside parliament since last week after Yoon briefly imposed martial law, only to reverse the decision after facing pressure from lawmakers.

As an impeachment vote for the embattled president looms, protesters chant mocking rhymes and sing K-pop in their daily demonstrations, with one song serving as a clarion call for his removal – Girls’ Generation’s “Into the New World”.

“With the unknowable future and obstacles, I won’t change and I can’t give up,” protesters sing, dancing to the upbeat song with hopeful lyrics.

“We will (do it) together no matter how long it takes in my new world.”

This is not the first time the Girls’ Generation’s bop has made an appearance in politics – the single released in 2007 first got harnessed nine years later during student demonstrations at Ewha Womans University.

What started as a campus protest on South Korea’s top women’s university in 2016 intensified due to the school’s link to former president Park Geun-hye’s corruption scandal, eventually leading to Park’s dramatic impeachment the following year.

Viral footage showed Ewha students singing “Into the New World” and linking arms while engaged in a standoff with the police.

The song’s “grassroots power made (it) an emblem for the various protests since then,” Jiyeon Kang, a Korean studies professor at University of Iowa, told AFP.

It “encapsulates… the courage to stand against perceived injustice even when the odds of success are slim, and the comfort of finding a supportive community,” she said.

Used as an activism tool, “Into the New World” is frequently featured in South Korea’s annual queer parade and also blared during a rally supporting the pro-democracy movement in Hong Kong.

    ‘Raise their voices’

Girls’ Generation, whose youngest member was 16 when they debuted in 2007, remains one of the most successful K-pop groups of all time.

Member Yuri said in a 2017 interview she had cried while watching the video of their song sung during the university protests.

“It was a moment when I felt a great sense of pride as a singer,” Yuri said.

For protester Han You-jin, the song is a familiar one as she was just a year old when it debuted.

“Singing this song, which I’ve known my whole life, alongside so many other people from different age groups has been special,” the 18-year-old told AFP after she sang it with thousands outside parliament.

This reception is a far cry from how the song was received in 2016 by some commentators calling it inappropriate for protests, said Ewha University alumna Kim Ye-ji, who recalled it as a way for students to “raise their voices”.

“I have seen the world change first-hand a few years ago,” she told AFP, remembering her friends being removed by authorities and “a sense of violence” epitomising her protest days, before it resulted in a presidential impeachment.

“I believe we will navigate well through this as well.”

Allu Arjun arrested after stampede at ‘Pushpa 2’ screening

Indian actor Allu Arjun has been arrested after his appearance at a movie screening allegedly caused a stampede that resulted in the death of a woman on Friday, police and local media reported.

A huge crowd had gathered at a theatre in Hyderabad to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun as he arrived for the screening of his film “Pushpa 2: The Rule.”

Arjun, 42, was arrested on suspicion of three offences, including causing hurt by dangerous means, a police officer told AFP, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The victim of the December 4 stampede was a woman in her 30s attending the screening with her son, who was also seriously injured. The woman’s family later filed a complaint against Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management, media outlet India Today reported.

Arjun said he was “deeply heartbroken” two days after the accident. “While respecting their need for space to grieve, I stand committed to extend every possible assistance to help them navigate through this challenging journey,” he wrote on X.

Arjun is hugely popular in southern India, and the Pushpa film franchise has made millions at the box office.

He won best actor at India’s National Film Awards for his title role in the first instalment of the series, released two years ago.

  • Hania Aamir’s reaction to being included among Top 50 Asian stars will have you rolling on the floor

Hania Aamir’s reaction to being included among Top 50 Asian stars will have you rolling on the floor

Actress Hania Aamir’s hilarious take on being named one of the Top 50 Asian celebrities will have you laughing out loud.

The Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum actress took to Instagram to write: “They’re saying I’m the 9th most influential Asian of 2024. I think I’m famous. Will take minimum 5 business days to get back to you. Thanks.”

Hania Aamir has captured international attention by earning the title of the top Pakistani star and securing the 9th spot on the renowned Top 50 Asian Celebrities in the World list, published by a UK-based weekly.

What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that she’s the only Pakistani actor to land a spot in the top 20, surpassing global icons from Hollywood, Bollywood, music, TV, literature, and social media.

Other prominent Pakistanis making the list include Riz Ahmed at 11, Zayn Malik at 21, Fahad Mustafa at 23, Shazad Latif at 24, Arooj Aftab at 33, Hiba Bukhari at 37, Atif Aslam at 41, and Sajal Aly at 48.

Earlier, Pakistani renowned actress Hania Amir has expressed that her fame makes her fearful of how she will answer to Allah Almighty.

In response to a question, she discussed her social media posts, saying, “I want everyone to be happy. If someone is facing mental health issues, they should know what the solution is and who they can talk to. Because talking about mental health is no longer considered taboo.”

She added, “I do not want anyone else to go through the difficulties I have faced regarding mental health. For a long time, talking about mental health was considered taboo, but thankfully, that is no longer the case. I always say that I am afraid of my [public] image; how will I face Allah Almighty?”

“What will I say? That I made some films and earned a lot of money?”

Hania Amir also remarked, “It doesn’t suit me; I am not like that. I try to make people laugh, and my social media posts bring joy to people. I’m happy to know this, and I hope they realise that mental health is a common issue that they can talk about.”

She had given an interview to BBC Asia earlier this year, a video clip of which has surfaced in which she spoke openly about mental health.
