In a recent TV interview, Sarwat explained that she didn’t have postpartum depression after she gave birth to two sons so she didn’t know much about it. However, she went through severe postpartum depression after her daughter was born.
She described meeting her daughter four days after birth because they were in different hospital wards after surgeries. During this time, her baby needed breastfeeding, but Sarwat was very depressed and had upsetting thoughts of dropping her baby to end the stress.
“I was crying uncontrollably and told my husband that I wanted to harm our daughter to stop all the tension,” she shared with tears in her eyes. Sarwat talked about how many women lack proper information during their first pregnancy, often turning to books and social media for help. The first pregnancy is especially tough, she stated, recalling the many psychological challenges women face, making support from husbands and in-laws very important.
“When a pregnant woman receives support from her family, it positively impacts her mental health,” she explained. Her husband helped her by explaining that what she was feeling was postpartum depression and that it wouldn’t last forever. His reassurance gave her much-needed comfort and understanding.
Sarwat stressed the need for awareness about postpartum depression for both men and women, saying, “I realized then how important it is for everyone to understand this condition.”

Fresh off an appearance on a television show where he again misbehaved with women, controversial screenwriter Khalil ur Rehman Qamar has passed harsh remarks about Naumaan Ijaz during an appearance on Ayesha Jahanzeb’s show.
The host asked the ‘Meray Pas Tum Ho’ writer, “Does Khalil Ur Rehman hate anyone,” to which he replied, “There is only one man in the whole world that I have hated, and that is Naumaan Ijaz. I have been angry at people, but he is the only person I have hated. Naumaan is undoubtedly a brilliant actor, but personally, he is a disgraceful man. I cast Naumaan in one of my plays for a very negative character.”
Ijaz, a veteran of the television screen, is known for speaking his mind. He responded to Qamar’s controversial remarks, stating: “He is mentally sick. I feel sorry for him.”
We agree with Noumaan, Qamar really does appear to be mentally unwell. This much misogyny is not the product of a healthy or sane mind.

A Barbie that spent six months orbiting the Earth on the International Space Station will go on public display for this first time this week at the Design Museum in London.
It will be part of a new exhibition marking the 65th anniversary of the Barbie brand, set to open on Friday in partnership with the doll’s creator Mattel.
The Barbie was made to resemble Samantha Cristoforetti, the first female commander of the ISS. On the mission in which she was accompanied by her lookalike Barbie, Cristoforetti became the first European woman to complete a spacewalk.
There will be videos on display of Cristoforetti answering questions from space to encourage young girls to become scientists and astronauts –- all while floating in zero gravity alongside the Barbie.
“We’re so excited that the first time anyone can see Samantha’s doll since it returned from the International Space Station is at the Design Museum this summer,” said curator Danielle Thom.
“Its remarkable journey on Samantha’s history-making mission 400 kilometres above the Earth was one of the most dramatic moments in Barbie’s evolving story.”
Cristoforetti said she was “thrilled” her Barbie would play a “starring role” in the exhibition.
Highlighting other connections between Barbie and the cosmos, there will be a rare edition of the first space-themed Barbie on display.
The silver “Miss Astronaut” was Barbie’s first depiction as an astronaut released in 1965, four years before Neil Armstrong reached the moon.
Another Barbie in a metallic pink spacesuit on display was released in 1985 after Sally Ride became the first American woman in space.
Other rare dolls will include a prototype of the first Talking Barbie launched in 1968 and one of the earliest first edition Barbie dolls.
Visitors can also expect some more iconic figurines on display, including the Sunset Malibu Barbie and Day to Night Barbie.
Charting the changing design of Barbie through time, the exhibition will also include friends of Barbie including Midge, and a while section dedicated to Ken, Barbie’s male companion.
Ever since the “Barbie” movie starring Margot Robbie hit cinemas and broke box office records last year, the doll has become ever-more prominent in popular culture, making forays into fashion, music, and now design.

Controversial screenwriter Khalil ul Rehman Qamar is once again in the spotlight for his misogynist behavior towards women. At a recent panel discussion, the ‘Teri Meri Khanaiyan’ co-writer joined Sahil Adeem.
During the show, they had a heated exchange with a female audience member who questioned their regressive views on women’s rights. At one point, Sahil Adeem claimed that 95 percent of women in Pakistan are uneducated, causing an uproar among the audience. The incident has sparked renewed controversy over their views on women’s rights in Pakistan.
Samaa TV’s show ‘Mukalma,’ hosted by Ayesha Jahanzeb, turned into a battle ground. During the discussion, a female audience member confronted Sahil Adeem for his rude remarks about women.
“If you have called girls ‘Jahil,’ you should apologize or show me where the Quran says to use this word for those who don’t know certain things,” she said angrily. In response, Sahil shared Arabic verses, which angered the girl. Her reaction to the use of Arabic upset Khalil ul Rehman Qamar, leading to a heated argument between him and the girl. The host eventually calmed them all down and moved on to another guest.
Here is the link to the video:
A social media user shared a clip of the heated argument on her X account, calling for Khalil ul Rehman Qamar and Sahil Adeem to be banned from live television.
“Such archaic views should be condemned and have no place in modern discourse. He must be held accountable for his irresponsible remarks,” the post said.
Qamar and Sahil Nadeem’s claim that 95% of women in Pakistan are illiterate is not only inaccurate but also deeply disrespectful.
Their condescending manner towards a young girl, who bravely countered with strong arguments, is appalling.
Social media users praised the woman for bravely standing up to the screenwriter.
Such hate monger like Sahil Adeem & Khalil ur Rehman should be banned from all the TV channels.Sometimes i wonder do they call their mothers, sisters, wives & daughters jahil as well or are they privileged enough to be among those 5%? Don’t tell me your 5% comprises of them only? https://t.co/nOCeOIeOsx
95% women are ignorant? This is what happens when you invite two idiots, Sahil Adeem and Khalil Ur Rehman. This NosarBaaz bought a Land Cruiser V8 after selling his bullshit for months. Shame on @SAMAATV for inviting these hate mongers for TRPs. Criminal!pic.twitter.com/YkfcYQ2QZB
