Is Fast X 2 in trouble? Vin Diesel is concerned about the film’s direction

Fast and Furious fans were left shocked and concerned when American actor and film producer Vin Diesel shared an update of the highly anticipated Fast X: Part 2.

Vin Diesel took to Instagram to detail the challenges he faces during the production, leaving many wondering about the future of the franchise.

In a Thanksgiving post, Diesel expressed the pressures he feels with the sequel.

“I got universal in one ear saying we need FastX2 by March 2026! I have Comcast in the other ear saying we need two movies to be the Finale! Then the writer on Fast Five sent me this image and said we need to see DOM and HOBBS resolve their differences,” Diesel wrote.

Vin Diesel also expressed his desire to bring the franchise back to its roots, focusing on street racing practical stunts, and reuniting the iconic brotherhood.

“I just want to get back to real street racing, practical stunts… and a reunion of that beautiful brotherhood. Happy Thanksgiving,” he wrote.

In spite of these challenges, Fast X has earned $704 million worldwide, setting new records for the franchise. As the 25th anniversary of Fast and Furious nears in 2026, fans are eagerly waiting for more news about the next chapter of the action packed saga.

Earlier, last year 2023, Action star Vin Diesel has been accused of sexually assaulting his assistant in an Atlanta hotel room over a decade ago, according to a lawsuit filed Thursday.

The suit is the latest claim to be lodged with courts in California, which has extended the length of time in which legal action can be taken in cases of alleged sexual crimes.

Asta Jonasson said her first assignment after being hired by the Fast and Furious star’s company was to travel to Atlanta in September 2010 during the filming of Fast Five. There, she was tasked with helping Diesel leave a hotel in the early morning hours after entertaining multiple women in a suite, before paparazzi were alerted to his whereabouts.

“Alone in the hotel suite with him, Vin Diesel sexually assaulted Ms Jonasson. Vin Diesel forcibly grabbed Ms Jonasson, groped her breasts, and kissed her. Ms Jonasson struggled continually to break free of his grasp, while repeatedly saying no. “Vin Diesel then escalated his assault,” the suit said, with the actor trying to pull down his assistant’s underwear.

  • PML-N moves resolution in Punjab Assembly to ban PTI

PML-N moves resolution in Punjab Assembly to ban PTI

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Muhammad Fayyaz has submitted a resolution in the Punjab Assembly secretariat, seeking a ban on arch-rivals Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

The resolution demands stringent action against former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s PTI, labelling the party a “disruptive group” operating under the guise of a political party, and calls for those responsible for the November 24 protests to be brought to justice.

A similar resolution was introduced in the Balochistan Assembly on Thursday, accusing PTI of committing acts of violence and taking on the form of a “political anarchist group”.

The resolution was moved by Balochistan Minister for Communications and Works Mir Saleem Ahmad Khosa, provincial ministers Mir Sadiq Umrani, Mir Asim Kurd Gelo, Raheela Hamid Khan Durrani, Bakht Mohammad Kakar and parliamentary secretaries against the PTI’s actions during the recent protests.

The resolution read, “This kind of anarchist agenda of the PTI has badly affected every system and school of thought in the country, including the judiciary, the media and the country’s economy.”

The opposition in the Balochistan Assembly staged a walkout in protest, decrying the mistreatment of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party.

The resolution accused the PTI of orchestrating violent demonstrations, including assault on public and military installations during the May 9 protests last year. It also criticised the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for allegedly using state resources to challenge federal authority, describing such actions as part of a “non-political agenda.”

PTI’s recent “do-or-die” protest in the federal capital ended abruptly after a government crackdown that resulted in the apprehendation of 1,151 protesters, including 64 Afghan nationals. Authorities claimed to have confiscated weapons, ball bearings, and spiked clubs from the detained Afghans.

Meanwhile, PTI leader Salman Akram Raja alleged that 20 protesters were killed during the demonstrations—a claim that the authorities have denied.

Earlier, Senator Faisal Vawda, while appearing on the Geo News programme Capital Talk on Wednesday, had claimed that former Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan’s party will be banned.

Faisal Vawda stated, “Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister [Ali Amin Gandapur] will not be arrested, but Bushra Bibi [Imran Khan’s wife] will.”

Faisal Vawda also pointed out the absence of PTI’s big names during the recent protest: “Where was Omar Ayub Khan, Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly?”

He alleged that the former First Lady has a “major role” in bringing founder Imran Khan’s party to a “dead end.”

It should be mentioned here that PTI marched towards Islamabad on the “final call” of party founder Imran Khan.

PTI demanded the reversal of the recently passed 26th Constitution Amendment, the “stolen mandate,” and the release of all party political prisoners, including Imran Khan.

  • Champion Trophy meeting ends without a decision; Pakistan sticks to its stance

Champion Trophy meeting ends without a decision; Pakistan sticks to its stance

The International Cricket Council (ICC) meeting to decide the fate of Champions Trophy 2025 has ended without a resolution, as Pakistan stood firm on its stance against the hybrid model for hosting the tournament.

According to Geo, the meeting held today was short-lived, getting postponed until tomorrow. Both parties presented proposals in today’s meeting, which will be discussed in detail at the meeting tomorrow.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) remained steadfast on the issue of the hybrid model. Pakistan briefed the Board regarding its position and showed no flexibility. An acceptable formula regarding the Champions Trophy is likely to be revealed by tomorrow.

Pakistan had asked for an acceptable formula for the trophy before the board meeting, with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi informing the ICC of Pakistan’s clear position.

He said, “We will bear wounds, but we will not let our honour be compromised. The PCB has almost completed all the arrangements for the Champions Trophy.”

India is lobbying to move the entire Champions Trophy out of Pakistan, but the PCB has also completed preparations to block Indian tactics. PCB will not accept any option without its own conditions.

Pakistan is not ready to accept the proposal to play the match against India at a neutral venue, while broadcasters have opposed the proposal to keep Pakistan and India in separate groups. Pakistan has expressed its displeasure over the delay in resolving the Champions Trophy crisis in a timely manner.

How much will PCB get from hosting the Champions Trophy?

Pakistan is set to host the Champions Trophy 2025, but do you know how much money the country will get to host the mega event?

According to reports, Pakistan will get $6 million for hosting rights to the ICC Champions Trophy. Pakistan will also have to pay $1.2 to $1.3 million as a premium to the insurance company to insure the tournament. Pakistan will get more dollars from gate money and hospitality, thus deducting the insurance amount and getting about $6 million.

The ICC provides Pakistan with two instalments of $13 million from its income every year in January and July, while India gets 38 per cent of the annual share of ICC income, which is $90 to $95 million.

Earlier, Mohsin Naqvi has made it clear to the ICC that the Pakistan Board is firm on its stance regarding the Champions Trophy and that they will bear the scars and not allow themselves to be dishonoured.

  • ‘My complaint led to more difficulties for me,’ says Maimoona Qudoos about early career harassment

‘My complaint led to more difficulties for me,’ says Maimoona Qudoos about early career harassment

Actress Memoona Qudoos has revealed that she not only faced discrimination at the beginning of her career but was also harassed.

Memoona Qudoos recently appeared on New TV’s program Zabardast, where she spoke openly about being the victim of harassment.

“I left my hometown alone at a young age to pursue a career in the entertainment industry, due to which I also faced problems,” she disclosed.

“At 22 or 23, I came to another city to pursue an entertainment career, where no one cared about me. Despite being Muslim and belonging to the same country, I was not helped.”

Memoona Qudoos revealed that she was raised by her uncle. “I was very close to him, I always remember the time spent with him. I also regret that my uncle passed away before he saw the rise of my career.”

In response to a question, she said, “At the beginning of my career, actresses were jealous of me, even senior actresses who have become ‘aunties’ were jealous of me.”

She questioned that the ‘aunties’ should have understood that they couldn’t snatch her future.

Without naming anyone, she said, “Actresses of my age were also jealous of me and that I faced many difficulties at the beginning of my career, but despite this, I did not give up.”
She revealed, “I was even harassed at the beginning of my career and when I complained about it, more difficulties were created for me, and the complaint harmed me.”

Speaking on the same issue, Maimona Quddus stated that in a society like Pakistan, almost every working girl faces harassment at some point in her life. “If a girl says that she has not been harassed, she is lying or afraid of someone.”

According to Maimuna Quddus, “Society is built in such a way that girls face harassment.”

  • Saturday holiday cancelled to compensate the loss

Saturday holiday cancelled to compensate the loss

The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has issued a new notification which has officially abolished the Saturday holiday in all federally managed educational institutions.

The notification was issued on Friday with the subject: “Saturday as working day”.

It is addressed to all heads of institutions in Islamabad’s schools and colleges in rural and urban areas.

The decision will come into effect from November 30 (tomorrow), and remain in place till February 1, 2025.

It also says that the decision has been taken to compensate for the academic activity disrupted by the closure of schools in recent months.

Thus, starting from tomorrow, Saturday will be considered a full working day in schools and colleges under the FDE’s jurisdiction.

Elaborating on the steps taken by FDE, an official said that students’ education had been significantly affected by unforeseen holidays and closures. “The change has been made to ensure students receive the required instructional time and complete their syllabus on schedule,” the notification said.

  • Lahore High Court asks offices, schools to make work-from-home policy

Lahore High Court asks offices, schools to make work-from-home policy

During Friday’s hearing of the cases against smog in the provincial capital, the Lahore High Court (LHC) directed the administration to formulate a work-from-home policy for schools and offices.

Justice Shahid Karim heard petitions against the failure to take effective measures to combat smog.

Geo News reported that during the hearing, the complainant raised the point of cutting down trees in the Township area of Lahore to build depots for electric buses. There are reports that the trees are cut and sold in the timber market.

Upon this, the court summoned the Secretary of Transport of Punjab and ordered an investigation into the matter to find out where the trees that were cut actually ended up. “If the matter of cutting trees is true, a case will be registered against those responsible,” the court ordered.

On the matter of large amounts of vehicular emissions in the city, the Court said that software should be created to store the vehicle data in the city while noting that the data for checking vehicles should be created after giving a time limit of three months.

Justice Karim also stressed that things can’t be fixed until the city’s DCs are transferred.

The court directed the government to make a policy about checking transport that must have the data, and a tag system should be introduced for vehicles as well.

The lawyer representing the government, Hassan Ejaz Cheema, said that the work on formulating a policy is underway.

Moreover, Samaa News reported that the court also criticised the government for lifting all smog-related restrictions in the city. This could result in a relapse, it warned.

Justice Shahid Karim also suggested opening schools four days a week and letting construction work take place for three days a week.

The court also ruled that schools and offices should have a work-from-home policy because the smog is not over yet. It may suddenly return, and ideally, construction work should not even start.

Later, the court adjourned further hearing on the case until Tuesday, December 3.

Previously, Justice Shahid Karim of the Lahore High Court issued a three-page order on petitions regarding the smog issue, ruling that schools should provide transport to children after the winter vacations, while the government announced a relaxation of smog restrictions in the city.

  • Bismil Episode 30 shocks fans with one heartbreaking demise

Bismil Episode 30 shocks fans with one heartbreaking demise

Bismil, a popular drama on ARY Digital, is earning widespread praise for its compelling storyline and talented cast. Written by Zanjabeel Asim Shah and directed by Aehsun Talish, the show is produced by Idream Entertainment.

The story revolves around Tauqeer Taseer, who falls in love with and marries a greedy girl.

The cast includes big names like Nauman Ijaz, Savera Nadeem, Hareem Farooq, Saad Qureshi, Behroze Sabzwari, Shaheen Khan, and Adnan Jillani.

Yesterday, the highly anticipated 30th episode aired, depicting Moosa’s tragic suicide after being rejected by his fiancée Momal. The heartbreaking scene where Moosa shot himself in his room left fans in tears. The show’s creators could have shown a suicide attempt without Moosa dying, many fans opined.

I believe Tauqeer is partly responsible for Moosa’s suicide because he kept distancing himself from his son, despite Moosa’s efforts to connect. After Momal’s rejection, Moosa lost all hope.

Men who marry at an older age should realize the emotional and mental stress their children might face due to their actions. Momal’s parents and Masooma also made things worse for Moosa. I cried during all the scenes with Reham, beautifully portrayed by Savera Nadeem. The performances of Saad Qureshi, Savera Nadeem, and Nauman Ijaz in the emotional sequences were outstanding.

Additionally, viewers were particularly captivated by the pairing of Hareem Farooq and Nauman Ijaz, despite the storyline not being exceptionally unique. The drama kept everyone’s attention because of the anticipation about Tauqeer’s decisions and their impact on his family. It is worth noting that Tauqeer’s family was a happy one, and there seemed to be no need for him to marry again, especially knowing how sensitive his son was. Moosa had even warned that he would shoot himself if such a thing happened.

Masooma’s character, portrayed as a gold digger, added to the drama’s complexity, as she did not truly love Tauqeer. The depiction of suicide without a trigger warning was another point of concern for the viewers, considering the drama airs at 8 PM when many viewers are watching. The scene where Moosa shot himself and the subsequent display of blood were particularly sensitive.

Reflecting on Moosa’s fiancée, I noted that her father made the right decision by not marrying her to Moosa, as his sensitivity would have made a life together challenging. The most sympathy was expressed for Reham, who lost both her son and husband due to Tauqeer’s poor decision-making.

I also noticed some editing inconsistencies, particularly during the scene when Masooma arrives at Moosa’s funeral. She appeared overly dressed and made-up initially, but shortly after, her dupatta appeared and her makeup vanished.

Additionally, she was shown to be highly traumatized, even though she had previously stated that if there was one death in their family, there would be another on the other side as well. This seemed to be an attempt by the writers to show her as empathetic, which didn’t quite fit her character.

In conclusion, while Bismil captured the audience with its strong performances and emotional depth, it also sparked discussions about sensitive issues and the consequences of impulsive decisions.

  • Imran Khan to get bail within three months, predicts Najam Sethi

Imran Khan to get bail within three months, predicts Najam Sethi

Political commentator Najam Sethi has predicted that the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, will get bail within three months.

Appearing on Samaa News Najam Sethi stated on Thursday that former Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan will be in his home in Zaman Park or Bani Gala within the next three months.

In response to the programme host Ayesha Naz’s question whether Khan would remain under house arrest or not, Najam Sethi stated that “there is no issue of Imran Khan being in house arrest, he will be free.”

It may be noted here that former PM Imran Khan was arrested on August 5 last year from his residence in Zaman Park, Lahore, shortly after his conviction in the Toshakhana case and has been in jail since then on multiple charges.

Imran Khan’s party had orchestrated protests in Pakistan’s heart, Islamabad, which resulted in multiple casualties.

Referring to the PTI’s recent protest march towards the federal capital, Sethi said, “It was his [Imran Khan] last public card; he [Imran Khan] won’t t be able to use the public card for the next three to four months, and [Khan] knows that.”

Responding to the PTI’s next probable march to the federal capital, Najam Sethi maintained that there would be “no long march for at least one year towards Islamabad.”

Najam Sethi observed that by the time the grand operation started on Tuesday night, Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Ali Amin Gandapur advised former First Lady Bushra Bibi to leave the federal capital.

“Bushra Bibi was scared; her guards disappeared, and then she decided to leave the federal capital,” Sethi added.

Furthermore, Najam Sathi reiterated that the federal government had helped CM KP Ali Amin Gandapur and Imran Khan’s spouse to escape from the scene.

Earlier, PTI sources told Geo News that prior to the Tuesday night grand operation on PTI demonstrators, the government facilitated Bushra Bibi and Ali Amin Gandapur to escape from Islamabad.

On Tuesday night (November 26), security forces launched a grand operation at D Chowk to disperse the protestors, leading to multiple casualties.

Reportedly, prior to the operation, markets in all nearby areas were closed, and streetlights were also turned off; the operation was completed within two and a half hours, leading to the arrest of more than 500 protesters from D-Chowk and its nearby areas.

The ICC provides Pakistan with two instalments of $13 million from its income every year in January and July, while India gets 38 per cent of the annual share of ICC income, which is $90 to $95 million.

An important International Cricket Council (ICC) meeting will be held today regarding the hosting of the Champions Trophy scheduled in Pakistan.

A few hours before the decisive meeting for the future of the Champions Trophy, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi was in Dubai on an emergency basis since Thursday, where he held important talks with ICC CEO Jeff  Allardyce and top officials to inform them of Pakistan’s firm stance.

Naqvi made Pakistan’s position clear to the ICC that the government has banned us from the hybrid model, so India will have to come to Pakistan. If the ICC wants to move forward, it should bring a new proposal in the best interest of cricket and member countries. Discussing the hybrid model proposal with Pakistan in the meeting will be a waste of time.

Earlier, Mohsin Naqvi has made it clear to the ICC that the Pakistan Board is firm on its stance regarding the Champions Trophy and that they will bear the scars and not allow themselves to be dishonoured.

The ICC has not yet been able to announce the new schedule for the Champions Trophy due to Indian stubbornness, which is also worrying broadcasters, who fear a loss of millions of dollars.

The ICC has called a board meeting for Friday, November 29. An ICC spokesperson has confirmed that this meeting will be held online, and the agenda has been sent to all board members.

The scheduling and future of the Champions Trophy will be considered during the meeting, and various options for the Champions Trophy will be discussed.

The PCB also told the ICC that if a formula is devised to play matches with India at a neutral venue, Pakistan will never go to India to play.

On the other hand, according to a report by the cricket website Cricinfo, the option of holding the Champions Trophy in Pakistan without India may be discussed in the ICC board meeting. The choice of a hybrid model for the Champions Trophy will also be addressed, in which most of the events will be played in Pakistan, but India’s matches will be held in another country.

According to the cricket website, the board meeting will also discuss the proposal to hold the entire tournament in another country, with PCB as the host. However, the chances of a “minus India” formula are low due to commercial value.

The PCB has already discussed the “minus India” proposal based on past examples.
