    Mastermind of Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar’s honey trap scheme arrested

    Police have arrested the mastermind behind a honey trap scheme targeting controversial writer Khalilur Rehman Qamar. Hassan Shah and his accomplice, Rafiq, were taken into custody in Peshawar. Shah is accused of leading a 12-member gang, including women, that allegedly trapped Qamar and then released compromising videos of him.


    The police report reveals that Qamar was tricked into visiting a woman’s house, where he was recorded without his knowledge. Shah is accused of distributing these explicit videos online.


    Qamar had previously claimed he was kidnapped. The investigation is ongoing, with Shah and Rafiq currently in custody. In total, 12 people, including the woman involved, have been arrested in connection with the case.


    Qamar reported being abducted and robbed in Lahore. He alleged that Amna Urooj invited him to her house under the pretense of discussing a drama project. Once there, he was kidnapped by armed men, who later released him after taking a significant ransom was paid.


    The FIR indicated that the kidnappers stole Qamar’s mobile phone, watch, and cash, and withdrew Rs250,000 from his ATM card. Qamar also stated that he was blindfolded and left in a deserted area before the suspects fled.

    According to Geo News, Naqvi will look after administrative affairs, and the former captain will be responsible for all the decisions regarding cricket, including international, domestic, selection committee (White ball and Red ball) affairs, and No Objection Letter (NOC) of the players.

    Naqvi’s primary focus is managing the Champions Trophy 2025, which is scheduled in Pakistan, and he wants to involve experienced cricketers in important cricket matters.

    The PCB Constitution 2014 states that the Chairman can delegate his power to anyone.

    ARY News reported that the incident happened within the limits of the Aziz Bhatti Police Station.


    CCTV footage shows the looters chasing the family’s white Honda Civic. The robbers stopped them at their doorstep and looted cash, important documents and other valuables.


    The police registered a case against four unknown persons at the complaint of Ahmed, a member of the family.

    Teesri ministry? Mohsin Naqvi to become new president of Asian Cricket Council

    Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, is set to take over the presidency of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).

    Naqvi’s two-year tenure will begin in January 2025, a pivotal moment for Pakistan’s influence in regional cricket administration.

    The ACC President is appointed based on a rotation policy among member states. The current board president, Jay Shah, was given a one-year extension in January 2024.

    Apart from the role of PCB Chairman, he also serves as the Interior Minister of Pakistan. He will manage three key portfolios with his upcoming chairmanship at the ACC.

    A formal announcement confirming Naqvi’s presidency is expected at the next ACC meeting in October-November.

    “I am with Khan and for his cause. After May 9, whatever jalsas and conventions I did, it was for the right cause, I have never benefitted personally from PTI,” stated Marwat.

    Marwat recalled that he came to the forefront only with his own consent for the people’s “haqeeqi azadi” and Khan’s mission.

    He stated, “When misunderstandings increased to such an extent that my party membership was suspended, and they decide to kick me out of the party, I will leave.”

    Marwat said he still wants to work with party founder Imran Khan; however, he won’t beg to be taken back.

    Renowned scriptwriter, poet, and lyricist Javed Akhtar’s X (formerly Twitter) account was hacked, according to Indian media reports.


    Hackers took over Akhtar’s account and posted a message about the Indian team for the 2024 Olympics.


    The 79-year-old, who frequently shares his thoughts on X, informed his followers about the hack on Sunday night.


    Once he regained access to his account, Akhtar wrote, “My X ID was hacked. There is a message about our Indian team for the Olympics that wasn’t sent by me. It’s harmless, but it wasn’t from me.”


    Akhtar did not specify when he noticed the hack or what exactly was posted.


    He also told his 4.6 million followers that he is reporting the issue to X’s authorities.
