‘I had a panic attack on live TV after mom’s tribute’: Janhvi Kapoor

‘I had a panic attack on live TV after mom’s tribute’: Janhvi Kapoor

Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor still grapples with the sudden death of her mother, superstar Sridevi in 2018.

She recently shared a personal experience on the show ‘Mashable India’ hosted by Siddhaarth Aalambayan. She talked about how she suffered a panic attack during a dance show upon watching a tribute for her late mother Sridevi, soon after her death.
Janhvi Kapoor reflected on the challenging time, describing how she was still dealing with the grief and loss when she had to go to promote her Bollywood debut film.

Kapoor shared an experience from her time on a dance reality show. Shortly after her mother passed away, contestants honored her memory with songs, and Kapoor had a panic attack.
Janhvi Kappor said, “I went on a dance show and it was right after the incident.I was promoting Dhadak, and it was all very new. My team was taking care that I don’t get reminded of my mother. I was taken aback when the show surprised me with a tribute to my mother. They played an audio-visual montage of her songs with a heartfelt voiceover, and the children danced in homage. While it was a beautiful gesture, I wasn’t emotionally prepared for it.”

Janhvi also said, “My breathing had stopped. I burst into tears and started wailing. Running from the stage, I made my way to my van. Had a proper panic attack. People were like, ‘Does she really not give a f*?’ they edited out my emotional response and replaced it with a different tape of me smiling and clapping, but it was a far cry from how I was really feeling in that moment. They chose to show something very different from the truth.”

Why did Saife Hassan threaten his parents with committing suicide?

Veteran actor, director and writer Saife Hassan was invited as a guest on ‘Mazaq Raat’ hosted by Imran Ashraf.
During the show, Saife Hassan talked about threatening to harm himself if his parents didn’t allow him to marry his girlfriend. But it was just a bluff, and the pair have been married for thirty years now.

He said, “I was only 18 when I fell deeply in love with a girl my age, and I was determined to marry her. Although my family was supportive, her parents were opposed to our union due to my youth and lack of financial stability. In my desperation, I told my parents that if I couldn’t be with the girl I loved, I would take my own life. It was a reckless statement, but I was willing to do anything to be with her.”

While we agree with doing everything to convince your parents about marrying the girl of your choice, threatening them with suicide is a route we don’t recommend.

The Israeli military said Friday its forces had retrieved the bodies of three hostages in an overnight operation in the northern Gaza Strip’s Jabalia.

The bodies of Israeli hostage Chanan Yablonka, Brazilian-Israeli Michel Nisenbaum and French-Mexican Orion Hernandez Radoux “were rescued overnight” and their families were notified after forensic identification, the military said in a statement.

Nisenbaum, a 59-year-old resident of the Israeli town of Sderot near Gaza, was last contacted on his way to an army base on the border to pick up his granddaughter on the day of the attack.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, under increasing domestic pressure to secure the release of remaining hostages, said in a statement Friday that “together with the Israeli people, my wife Sara and I bow our heads in deep sorrow and embrace the grieving families in their difficult time”.
