  • iPhone 12 Pro Max: A Premium Pick That Still Shines in 2025

iPhone 12 Pro Max: A Premium Pick That Still Shines in 2025

Despite the arrival of newer models, the iPhone 12 Pro Max continues to make waves in the U.S. and abroad. With its sleek design, powerful performance, and dependable features, this premium Apple device remains a favorite for tech lovers and everyday users alike. But what makes the iPhone 12 Pro Max worth buying in 2025? Here’s a deep dive that goes beyond the usual specs to uncover what makes it special today.

Stunning Design and Display That Holds Up

One of the first things people notice about the iPhone 12 Pro Max is its design. Built with a stainless steel frame and tough Ceramic Shield front, the phone still looks and feels like a luxury device. Its 6.68-inch Super Retina XDR display delivers vivid colors and deep contrast, making it a joy for streaming, gaming, or simply browsing.

Despite a refresh rate of 60 Hz, lower than some newer models, the display quality remains top-tier thanks to its 2778 x 1284 resolution. Even now, it offers a premium viewing experience.

iPhone 12 Pro Max Colors: Gold Still Turns Heads

The iPhone 12 Pro Max Colors lineup features Pacific Blue, Graphite, Silver, and the ever-popular iPhone 12 Pro Max gold. The gold finish continues to stand out as a symbol of class and style. Whether in professional settings or casual use, the gold color never fails to make an impression.

Storage Options That Fit Real Needs

Apple made the iPhone 12 Pro Max available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options. For users who love capturing videos, photos, and storing media offline, the iPhone 12 Pro Max 256GB strikes a perfect balance between cost and capacity. It’s ideal for content creators, social media users, or anyone who wants peace of mind without running out of space.

Performance That Still Packs a Punch

Powered by the Apple A14 Bionic chip and supported by 4GB RAM, this phone handles iOS 16 with ease. Apps load fast, multitasking is smooth, and even demanding games run without lag. Though newer iPhones use the M1 and A15 chips, the iPhone 12 Pro Max still competes well in real-world use.

It may not boast the highest specs by 2025 standards, but this device proves performance isn’t just about numbers, it’s about how the phone handles everyday tasks reliably.

Camera System That Captures It All

One of the biggest selling points of the iPhone 12 Pro Max was, and still is, its advanced triple-lens camera system. The setup includes a 12MP wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto lens with LiDAR support. Night mode, Deep Fusion, and Dolby Vision HDR recording make this phone a dream for mobile photography.

Even in low-light conditions, the camera performs like a pro. For users wanting professional-quality results without carrying a DSLR, the iPhone 12 Pro Max is still an excellent choice.

Battery Life and Durability You Can Rely On

Battery life is another area where the 12 Pro Max excels. With moderate use, the phone easily lasts all day. Apple ensures a minimum battery health of 80% for refurbished models, meaning you’re not buying a worn-out device.

Thanks to rigorous diagnostics and refurbishing standards, all fully unlocked versions of the iPhone 12 Pro Max in the market are tested for top-tier performance. They’re compatible with any major U.S. carrier, from AT&T and T-Mobile to Verizon and Cricket.

These devices are also inspected for cosmetic wear and guaranteed to look near-new when viewed from arm’s length. While accessories may not be original, they are fully functional and compatible. Users can expect a smooth, premium Apple experience, often at a fraction of the original price.

iPhone 12 Pro Max Price in Pakistan: Local Demand Still Soars

Even internationally, the demand remains strong. The iPhone 12 Pro Max price in Pakistan has remained competitive as more users shift to refurbished or second-hand Apple devices for premium features without the premium price tag.

Prices vary based on condition and storage size, with the iPhone 12 Pro Max 256GB model often being the most sought after. In Pakistan, the official and non PTA price in Pakistan options provide flexibility for buyers. The iPhone 12 Pro Max non PTA price in Pakistan tends to be more affordable for those using Wi-Fi or alternative registration methods, although it may limit cellular access.

Why the iPhone 12 Pro Max Still Deserves Attention

    • Premium Design: Stainless steel build with a beautiful color range including the standout iPhone 12 Pro Max gold.

    • Display Quality: Large, vibrant screen perfect for daily media use.

    • Camera Excellence: Still a leader in mobile photography.

    • Reliable Performance: Smooth experience with iOS 16 and Apple’s ecosystem.

    • Refurbished Value: High-quality certified devices at lower prices.

    • Carrier Flexibility: Works with all major networks in the U.S.

Who Should Buy the iPhone 12 Pro Max in 2025?

    This model is ideal for:

    • Users upgrading from older iPhones (X, 8, or earlier).

    • Android users switching to iOS for the first time.

    • Budget-conscious buyers who want flagship features without paying top dollar.

    • Professionals needing a reliable phone for productivity and content.

Final Thoughts: Is It Still Worth It?

With its balance of power, camera quality, display size, and elegant design, the iPhone 12 Pro Max remains a wise investment in 2025. It may not have the flashiest new chip or highest refresh rate, but its real-world performance tells a different story, one of reliability, quality, and user satisfaction.

From the stunning iPhone 12 Pro Max colors to the still-impressive battery life, it’s clear this device is aging gracefully. And with options like the iPhone 12 Pro Max 256GB, buyers get practical storage without compromise.

Whether in the U.S. or globally in markets like Pakistan, the device continues to prove that innovation doesn’t always mean “new.” Sometimes, it just means “better.”

In one bizarre twist, a woman ordered an iPhone 12 Pro Max and ended up receiving apple-flavoured yogurt instead.

Pakistan stun Indonesia in historic AFC Women’s Asian Cup qualifier win

Pakistan women’s football team pulled off a stunning victory in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers, defeating hosts Indonesia 2-0 in a Group D match.

The win marks a historic moment for Pakistan as they overcame a team ranked significantly higher in FIFA rankings.

Nadia Khan gave Pakistan an early lead by scoring in the 8th minute, registering her fifth international career goal. The momentum continued when Suha Hirani converted a penalty in the 18th minute to double Pakistan’s advantage. Throughout the match, Pakistan’s goalkeeper, Ziyana Jeewraj, made several crucial saves to deny Indonesia any chance of a comeback.

Pakistan’s FIFA ranking stands at 157, while Indonesia holds the 95th position, making this result even more significant for the Green Shirts. The team will now face Kyrgyzstan in their final Group D match on July 5.

The victory is Pakistan women’s first international win since September 2023, when they last defeated Laos in a penalty shootout.

  • Another TikToker lands in trouble; Kashif Zameer arrested from Lahore

Another TikToker lands in trouble; Kashif Zameer arrested from Lahore

The Crime Control Department (CCD) of Lahore Police on Wednesday arrested TikTok influencer Kashif Zameer along with 13 of his security guards for openly displaying weapons in public.

Police officials have confirmed to media outlets that CCD personnel carried out a raid in Iqbal Town and recovered firearms from Kashif Zameer and his guards. Multiple cases have been registered against him at the CCD police station.

Videos of Kashif Zameer moving around the city with heavily armed guards had recently gone viral on social media. The clips showed him and his guards brandishing guns in public places.

His arrest comes at a time when Punjab has tightened security for the holy month of Muharram-ul-Haram. The provincial government has enforced Section 144 from June 27 to July 6, 2025, banning the public display of weapons and flammable materials without official permission.

Under these security measures, pillion riding has also been banned during this period. However, women, senior citizens, and law enforcement officials are exempt from this restriction.

This is not the first time Kashif Zameer has landed in legal trouble. He has faced charges in fraud cases before and was also arrested in April 2025 for disrespecting the Punjab Police.

In that case, a TikTok video showed Zameer handing a tray of money to a man wearing a police uniform at a wedding. The man was later identified as driver constable Khurram Shahzad. When police booked Shahzad, Zameer tried to defend him by posting another video where the uniform was digitally replaced with a plain black shalwar kameez using artificial intelligence. Zameer claimed the police uniform had been edited into the original footage.

However, during investigation, Shahzad admitted he was indeed wearing the police uniform at the wedding. Both Zameer and Shahzad were accused of disrespecting the police and spreading false information by using AI. Charges were filed under PECA’s electronic forgery and spoofing laws, along with sections of the Pakistan Penal Code. The Punjab Prosecutor General declared the case “high profile” and ordered further inquiry into the matter.

Zameer insisted in a video that the man in the footage was actually his personal guard, not a police officer. He claimed his “enemies” used AI to edit the video, stressing that he respects the Punjab Police.

  • PDMA warns of urban flash floods from July 7

PDMA warns of urban flash floods from July 7

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has issued an urgent notification, warning of a significant rise in major river water levels, flash flooding in hill torrents, and urban flooding in parts of Punjab from July 7, 2025 onwards.

Strong monsoon currents combined with a westerly wave are expected to hit upper catchments of Punjab’s major rivers from July 6, PDMA has predicted, increasing the risk of floods across the region. Flows in rivers and their associated nullahs and tributaries are likely to rise sharply, while metropolitan areas in North and Central Punjab could see urban flooding.

Flash flooding is also expected in the hill torrents of DG Khan Division, while landslides could cause road closures in vulnerable hilly areas like Murree and Galiyat.

Meanwhile, in Haripur, heavy rainfall has already caused streams to overflow and raised the water level at Tarbela Dam since Tuesday night, forcing the district administration to open the dam’s spillways on Wednesday to manage the excess water. Dam authorities have issued alerts to the Deputy Commissioners of Haripur, Nowshera, and Swabi districts to stay on standby.

Official PDMA Weather & Flood Situation:

    1. Weather Situation:

Met office (vide Bulletin No C-018/25) has informed that strong monsoon currents coupled with Westerly wave are likely to affect upper catchments of all the major rivers in Punjab significantly from 6th July.

    2. Flood Situation:

Flows are likely to increase significantly from July 7 in all major rivers along with their associated Nullahs/tributaries.

Flash flooding is also expected over the hill torrents of DG Khan division.

Urban flooding is likely in metropolitan cities of North and Central Punjab.

    POSSIBLE IMPACTS AND ADVICE:

Landslides may cause roads closure in the vulnerable hilly areas of Murree and Galliyat during the wet spell.

Heavy downpour/windstorm and lightning may affect daily routines, and may damage weak structures like roof/wall of Kacha houses, electric poles, bill boards, vehicles and solar panels etc during the forecast period.

Farmers are advised to manage their activities keeping in view the weather forecast.

Travelers and tourists are advised to remain extra cautious and manage their itineraries according to weather conditions and avoid any untoward situation during the wet spell.

  • Maryam Nafees says THIS matter boils her blood

Maryam Nafees says THIS matter boils her blood

Pakistani actress Mariyam Nafees has spoken up about the unsolicited and often harmful advice that many new moms still receive today.

She shared a post on her Instagram in which a mother-in-law tells her daughter-in-law not to feed her baby because her hair was wet after a shower. Opposing the advice, Mariyam said, “These kinds of stories boil my blood.”

She shared a post originally from Soul Sisters Pakistan which read: “Went to somebody’s house yesterday. The mother of a newborn baby was politely informed by the mother-in-law not to feed the baby because she took bath and her hairs were wet. The mother waited till her hairs get dry and by that time the infant went to long deep sleep with empty tummy… Me looking at the tiny baby hungry and crying felt bad… Please ACT NORMAL ACT HUMAN.”

The post also highlighted other outdated beliefs, such as: “A mother’s stomach problems can harm the baby through breast milk,

Moon eclipses cause cleft palates in babies,

Babies should not sleep in silence, and that noise like banging pots helps them.”

Dismissing the outdated advice, Mariyam strongly encouraged new moms to trust themselves. She wrote: “Read this and kinda boiled my blood. The girl here stated some legit facts.

Also, momma’s – suno sabki, karo apni. You know what’s best for your child. You’re the MOTHER. You’re God gifted when it comes to instincts.”

  • QUAD avoids blaming Pakistan for Pahlagam despite Indian push

QUAD avoids blaming Pakistan for Pahlagam despite Indian push

India’s attempt to secure a direct reference to Pakistan in a joint statement issued by Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (QUAD), the four-member group comprising of the United States, India, Japan, and Australia on the April 22 Pahalgam attack fell short, as the alliance condemned the incident but refrained from naming any country.

The foreign ministers of QUAD met in Washington, D.C. on June 25, 2025 and issued a statement denouncing the attack in Pahalgam, located in Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir. The attack resulted in the deaths of 26 people, including one Nepali national.

India has repeatedly accused Pakistan of orchestrating the incident, alleging financial and logistical support. However, despite repeated requests from Pakistan, India has not made any evidence public. The joint statement, released through the U.S. State Department, stopped short of naming Pakistan and instead referred more generally to “cross-border terrorism.”

“The terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025, is condemned in the strongest terms. We demand prompt justice for the individuals responsible, as well as those who orchestrated and funded this act,” the statement said.

Pakistan has rejected India’s allegations and called for an independent and impartial investigation into the matter. QUAD’s statement urged UN member states to cooperate with relevant authorities under international law and existing UN Security Council resolutions but avoided attributing blame.

The statement further added: “We unequivocally condemn all acts of terrorism and violent extremism in all its forms and manifestations, including cross-border terrorism, and reaffirm our commitment to counterterrorism cooperation.”

The meeting was attended by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong, and Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya.

Following the Pahalgam attack, tensions escalated between India and Pakistan. On May 7, the Indian Air Force launched airstrikes on civilian areas inside Pakistan, claiming to target militant infrastructure. Pakistan responded by downing several Indian fighter jets, including three Rafales. The exchange of fire between both sides continued for days, leading to military and civilian casualties and fears of an all-out war between the two nuclear-armed nations.

While India sought stronger language and an explicit reference to Pakistan, the final QUAD statement maintained a broader diplomatic tone, yet another blow to India’s diplomatic efforts to isolate Pakistan.

  • FBR slashes import duties on cars, other goods

FBR slashes import duties on cars, other goods

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued two notifications, SRO.1151(I)/2025 and SRO.1152(I)/2025, announcing a major reduction in Additional Customs Duties (ACDs) and Regulatory Duties (RDs) on a long list of imported goods. According to reports, the move falls under the tariff rationalisation plan and went into effect at the start of fiscal year (FY) 2025-26.

Reports reveal that ACDs will now be charged at a reduced rate of two percent on items falling under the 15 percent customs duty slab. The same rate applies to goods imported under SRO.655(I)/2006 and SRO.656(I)/2006.

The two percent ACD will also apply to cars, jeeps, and light commercial vehicles in Completely Knocked Down (CKD) condition above 1,000 cc. Meanwhile, a six percent ACD will apply to the import of goods under the 30 percent slab and other high or specific rate slabs.

Reports reveal that a number of ACD exemptions have been introduced under SRO.1151. These exemptions include the import of plant and machinery falling under Chapters 84 and 85, and goods that fall under Chapter 99 of the first Schedule of the Customs Act.

Items brought in under baggage rules or the ‘Temporary Importation Scheme’ are reportedly exempt, along with various imported goods covered by older SROs like 577(I)/2005, 565(I)/2006, and 693(I)/2006. It merits a mention that the FBR has removed all ACDs on the import of CKD automobiles up to 1,000cc and completely built-up (CBU) vehicles.

The FBR intends to reduce the RD rate from 90 percent to 50 percent. However, reports indicate that the drop in RD will be carried out in phases over a period of five years.

Moreover, reports suggest that duties have been completely removed on 554 raw materials and intermediate goods, while another 602 items will see reduced rates. However, a five percent RD will remain on CKD/SKD kits of home appliances, unless otherwise specified.

Islamabad intends to slash the overall average tariff from a whopping 20.19 percent to just 9.7 percent over five years. Reports reveal that all ACDs are expected to be phased out in four years, and that RDs will be eliminated completely within five years.

At least four people, including an Assistant Commissioner were killed and 11 injured after a powerful bomb blast struck the Nawagai area of Bajaur district on Wednesday, local officials have said.

The explosion targeted a government vehicle in Nawagai Road near Sadiqabad Phatak in Khar Tehsil.

Waqil, theTehsildar of Nawagai, a police subedar, and a police constable, were  martyred in the explosion, media reports claim, citing police sources.

The wounded have been shifted to Khar Hospital, where emergency treatment is underway. Rescue operations are going on at the blast site.

While officials have yet to release details on the type of explosive used, initial reports suggest it was an Improvised Explosive Device (IED).

No one has claimed responsibility for the attacks so far.

  • Ferry service, more shipping lines; Gwadar Port to expand operations

Ferry service, more shipping lines; Gwadar Port to expand operations

In a bid to boost Gwadar Port’s operational capacity, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs has outlined plans to increase the number of shipping lines operating to and from the port, and has also announced the launch of a ferry service.

Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar chaired a meeting at the high-profile Ministry of Maritime Affairs attended by key officials from the ministry.

According to the federal minister, the ferry service is expected to connect Pakistan with countries from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The initiative is part of the federal government’s plan to elevate Gwadar Port’s position as a “major hub in the Arabian Sea”.

The government is aiming “to transform Gwadar into a strategic transhipment and logistics centre,” the federal minister revealed.

If accomplished, the increase in the flow of maritime trade through Gwadar Port could greatly benefit Pakistan’s economy. Reports suggest that the time is optimal to route a larger number of naval vessels via the port as well, as the Port is now “fully operational”.

In an attempt to integrate Gwadar Port into larger maritime networks, the federal minister reportedly issued directives to all relevant stakeholders to boost commercial activity at Gwadar Port.

According to the federal minister, an increase in shipping lines would improve trade relations with the Middle East and landlocked countries in Central Asia. Moreover, Pakistan could witness a large inflow of foreign reserves if Central Asian countries decide to rely on Gwadar Port as their primary trading hub.

An increase in the flow of traffic through Gwadar Port is also likely to alleviate pressure on other Pakistani ports, namely Karachi and Qasim ports. This spells great news for Pakistani importers and exporters alike as various ports in Karachi have been witnessing backlogs in recent times.

Apart from adding more shipping lines, the federal government has recently been ramping up efforts to increase the flow of shipping vessels passing through Gwadar Port. In January 2025, Islamabad decided to “revive” the port, which was seemingly processing subpar levels of cargo.

Federal authorities attempted to tackle the issue of low freight traffic through the port by deciding to route 60 percent of all public sector cargoes through Gwadar. However, the port is likely to witness a complete “revival” with the possible increase in shipping lines announced by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs.
