Bushra Bibi’s eyesight deteriorates in jail, PTI demands inquiry

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has raised concerns over the health of party founder Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, and called for her transfer to a hospital, citing lack of medical care at Adiala jail.

The development follows reports about her eyesight, after a similar situation involving Imran Khan, whose legal team had linked his retinal condition to delays in treatment during incarceration. He later underwent procedures at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).

Party officials stated that Bushra Bibi’s condition indicates denial of basic rights, referring to findings attributed to a medical specialist.

“Reports emerging from Adiala jail indicate that Bushra Bibi is experiencing vision impairment,” PTI Central Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram stated.

He said, “A report by an eye specialist from PIMS further substantiates that she is being deliberately deprived of basic human rights and essential medical care. This is not mere negligence, but a continuation of a calculated act of cruelty and political victimisation.”

According to a party statement, an ophthalmologist examined Bushra Bibi after she reported pain in her right eye, blurred vision, black spots, flashes in darkness and headaches for nearly two weeks.

The assessment diagnosed Posterior Vitreous Detachment (PVD), along with myopia and astigmatism, the party stated.

“It is severely condemnable that a female detainee, already held under controversial and questionable circumstances, is being subjected to such dangerous neglect regarding her health,” Akram remarked.

“Delays and indifference in addressing a sensitive issue like vision impairment could lead to a serious humanitarian crisis.”

PTI demanded immediate access to medical care, transfer to a hospital, and public release of medical reports. The party also called for access for her family and legal counsel.

“If anything happens to Bushra Bibi, the current government will be held responsible for it. Moreover, he said that relevant authorities and jail administration will also be equally responsible,” he added.

The concerns intensified after a document dated March 28 from Adiala jail circulated on social media, referring to an issue with Bushra Bibi’s eye. Akram confirmed the party sought details after the document surfaced and later verified her condition.

“This issue is not about an individual’s health. It reflects a dark stain on the face of the state system,” he said.

“The violation of fundamental human rights under the guise of political revenge is unacceptable. Such actions not only contravene the Constitution but also violate the norms of any civilised society.”

Akram said the party “will take all necessary steps to ensure that the matter reaches its logical conclusion.”

‘Bushra Bibi received tips from intelligence officials, passed them on to Imran Khan as predictions’

British news and current affairs journal The Economist has narrated “a story circulating in Pakistan” to claim how former first lady Bushra Bibi relayed information from intelligence sources to Imran Khan, presenting them as “revelations about the future”.

In an article titled ‘The mystic, the cricketer and the spy: Pakistan’s game of thrones’ on Khan’s marriage to his spiritual adviser, The Economist quoted “rumours” to revisit the political influence attributed to Bushra, her relationship with her husband, and the controversies that shaped the former premier’s time in power.

It said that intelligence officers conveyed tips to one of Bushra’s pirs, who would relay them to her, and she would then share the same with Khan.

“According to the rumours, the officer would, for example, give one of Bushra Bibi’s pirs advance notice about which politician was about to be arrested. Bushra Bibi would then tell Khan that she had received a revelation about the future. When the event she predicted came to pass, Khan would be amazed at his wife’s perspicacity and conclude she did indeed have a direct line to God,” The Economist stated.

While it added that “man rumours in Pakistan turn out not to be true, and much about this story remains opaque”, it quoted a senior Pakistani intelligence officer, speaking off the record, describing the broad outlines of the influence operation to 1843.

“People close to Khan are convinced it happened,” The Economist said, also quoting former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and federal minister Faisal Vawda, who said this was how Khan started to get blinded.

“It’s unclear from these accounts whether Bushra Bibi would have known she was being used in this way — it’s quite possible that she didn’t,” the publication wrote.

It also detailed accounts from family members and former household staff, recounting claims by her former husband about concerns over her closeness to Khan, the couple’s eventual marriage in 2018, and allegations — denied by PTI — that she engaged in black magic and exercised significant influence over political and personal decisions.

With both Khan and Bushra Bibi in prison on corruption charges, speculation continues within the PTI ranks about her potential influence on the former’s decisions regarding possible political compromise. The Economist report noted that opinions within the party vary, with some senior figures urging Khan to stand firm while others believe Bushra Bibi may encourage a negotiated path forward.

  • Bushra Bibi’s sister recalls story of introducing her to husband Imran Khan

Bushra Bibi’s sister recalls story of introducing her to husband Imran Khan

The sister of former First Lady Bushra Bibi, Maryam Riaz Wattoo, has claimed that former premier Imran Khan thanked her for introducing him to Bushra Bibi.

In a video shared by journalist Murtaza Ali Shah on Instagram today (Wednesday), Maryam Wattoo, in response to a question, confirmed that the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had thanked her for introducing Bushra Bibi to him.

She further claimed that Imran Khan had written her an email, saying, “I [Imran Khan] am thankful to you that you changed my life.”

When asked about the time she introduced Khan to Bibi, Maryam recalled it was between 2015 and 2016. “Matchmaking was not in my mind at that time. I had requested Bushra Bibi to guide him [Khan] in spiritual matters, to which Bushra Bibi said that she didn’t want to come on media,” she added.

“Now, they’re the best couple in the world as they stand together despite the odds,” she said.

“Imran Khan considers Bushra Bibi his spiritual guide and publicly thanks her for changing his life. So what exactly did Bushra Bibi do?” the journalist asked. In response, Maryam said her sister has a kind heart and is selfless. “Khan sahab has often mentioned that Bibi’s religious knowledge is very extensive,” she added.

When asked to describe Bushra Bibi’s personality, Maryam Wattoo said, “Bushra Bibi is a patient lady, intelligent, and she makes all her decisions with great wisdom.”

Advising former Special Assistant to the Chief Minister (CM) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Mashal Yousafzai, she suggested that he should limit his comments about Bushra Bibi. “This is my constructive criticism; it would be better not to associate everything with Bushra Bibi,” she emphasised.

Maryam Wattoo also dismissed claims that the ex-First Lady chaired a political meeting after her release from Adiala Jail, stating that “Bushra Bibi had only met those who had requested to meet her.”

In October 2024, Bushra Bibi was released from Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi after being incarcerated for nine months. In January, Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi were convicted in the £190 million case.

Accountability Court Judge Nasir Javed Rana sentenced the PTI founder to 14 years and his wife to seven years, along with hefty fines, during a proceeding held in a makeshift court at Adiala Jail.

Imran Khan was convicted for “corrupt practices” and “misuse of authority”, while the ex-First Lady was convicted for “involvement in illegal activities”.

‘Imran Khan meeting wife every Wednesday,’ jail superintendent tells court

Superintendent of Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi, Abdul Ghafoor Anjum, has informed the Islamabad High Court (IHC) that former premier Imran Khan is being allowed to meet his wife, Bushra Bibi, once a week, despite jail rules not permitting such meetings.

The development came after the IHC had earlier summoned the Superintendent of Adiala Jail in person today in a contempt of court case for not allowing PTI founder Imran Khan to meet Bushra Bibi.

Upon being approached by Imran Khan’s lawyer, Faisal Chaudhry, Acting Chief Justice Sardar Sarfaraz Dogar had earlier issued a written order, stating that, according to the lawyer, Imran Khan’s inability to meet Bushra Bibi is a violation of the court’s decision of January 28.

The media reports claimed that in today’s hearing, the court inquired Anjum whether the judicial order for facilitating meetings was being implemented, to which he responded, “There are no specific provisions regarding husband-wife meetings in jail rules, but we ensure that Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi meet every Wednesday.”

Dogar commented, “Mr Faisal, they are giving you special treatment.”

PTI’s lawyer then urged the court to order the superintendent to comply fully with the court order, prompting Dogar to ask, “Does he [Adiala jail Superintendent] have the audacity to disobey a court order?”

Following the hearing, the IHC dismissed the contempt petition against the authorities.

PTI spokesperson Sheikh Waqas Akram, while addressing a press conference in Peshawar on Monday, castigated the authorities for denying permission to meet the incarcerated party founder. He stated that despite court rulings, the authorities continue to prevent the meetings from taking place.

Alleging that only one meeting has been allowed in the past six months, he noted that this contradicts the Constitution and the law. “Despite court orders, Imran is not being allowed to meet his children nor his lawyers,” he added.

“Even the courts’ orders are being disregarded, and no explanation is being given…the system in this country is paralysed,” he added. Additionally, he said the PTI founder should undergo regular medical check-ups and “our doctors should be involved”.

On August 5, 2023, Imran Khan was arrested from his residency at Zaman Park Lahore shortly after his conviction in the Toshakhana case and had been held in Attock jail. He has been in prison since then on multiple charges ranging from corruption to terrorism.

Following the Islamabad High Court (IHC) order, Imran Khan was shifted to Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi on September 27, 2023. Currently, he is held in Jail under high security and with B-class facilities due to his status as a former premier.

  • ‘Bushra Bibi kept in isolation to pressurise me,’ Imran Khan alleges

‘Bushra Bibi kept in isolation to pressurise me,’ Imran Khan alleges

Aleema Khan, the sister of incarcerated former Premier Imran Khan, has alleged that former First Lady Bushra Bibi has been denied access to her husband for the past three weeks.

Speaking outside Adiala Jail Rawalpindi on Tuesday (today), Aleema stated that after they inquired why the meeting had not been held, the jail administration informed them that they had been given orders against Bushra Bibi’s meeting with Imran Khan.

“Bushra Bibi was placed in isolation to break her down,” Aleema quoted her brother as saying.

Revealing the purpose behind Bushra’s isolation, she quoted her brother as saying, “They want to pressure me into accepting their demands.” However, when asked about the nature of the demands, Aleema said that Khan was unaware of them.

She also claimed that she held a protest at the Adiala Jail against the restrictions imposed on Imran Khan’s meeting with Bushra Bibi. “We received a message that if the protest continues, then our meetings with Khan in jail will also be suspended,” she added.

Additionally, Imran Khan had made it clear that he would not make any deal “no matter how much pressure they exert,” Aleema said, quoting her brother.

An accountability court in the federal capital sentenced Imran Khan to 14 years in prison and his wife to seven years last month.

The former premier and his wife were fined Rs. 1 million and Rs. 0.5 million, respectively. If they fail to pay the fines, the ex-prime minister will serve an additional six months, while Bushra Bibi will serve three more months.

According to the verdict, ex-PM Imran Khan was convicted of “corrupt practices” and “misuse of authority,” while the former First Lady was sentenced for “involvement in illegal activities.”

The 148-page verdict mentioned that Bibi’s role was limited to aiding and abetting the corruption offences, which is considered a mitigating circumstance in her sentencing.

Following the announcement of the 190-million-pound verdict, Bushra Bibi was instantly arrested.

It should be noted here that Bushra Bibi was arrested four months after she was released on bail in the Tosha Khana case in October 2024.

‘I have seen judges shivering, falling sick’: Bushra Bibi’s argument with judge makes headlines

Bushra Bibi, the wife of incarcerated PTI leader Imran Khan, recently appeared in the Anti-Terrorism Court for a hearing, where she had an exchange of arguments with the judge. She claimed, “I have seen judges shivering and falling sick in front of me.”

Bushra Bibi appeared in court in a case related to the killing of Rangers personnel during PTI’s Islamabad protest.

Judge Tahir Abbas Supra heard the case in the ATC, and the exchange between him and Bushra Bibi took an interesting turn. The judge commented that the court had taken some time, but the legal procedures had been fulfilled. Bushra Bibi replied, “No, it is not a point of concern now, as our trust in the courts has already been lost.”

Judge Abbas interjected, “It is not like that; there is no loss of trust anywhere,” while cautioning, “In whatever way the justice system works, if it ends, then society will end.”

The ATC judge also reminded Bushra Bibi that she had appeared before him in court in the past. In response, Bushra Bibi exclaimed, “I have seen judges falling sick and trembling. One judge’s blood pressure even rose to 200 points, but he had to give a verdict against us.”

She added, “There is law in the country but no justice.”

Bushra Bibi asserted, “The founder of PTI is imprisoned in jail for the supremacy of the constitution. After what happened to us, faith in the law has been lost.”

The court, however, granted interim bail to Bushra Bibi until February 7 in the case registered at the Ramna police station regarding the killing of Rangers personnel in Islamabad.

CCTV footage had dismissed the claims of four Rangers personnel being crushed by security vehicles amid violent protests by PTI supporters in and around Islamabad.

Senior journalist Azaz Syed, in his vlog on YouTube, stated that not only did law enforcement agencies apprehend the driver of the car who ran over the Rangers personnel, but they also reached his home, where they discovered that the driver had a history of mental health issues and drug abuse.

Moreover, the ATC approved Bushra Bibi’s bail in 13 D-Chowk protest cases.

  • ‘Bushra Bibi holding actual negotiations somewhere else’

‘Bushra Bibi holding actual negotiations somewhere else’

Senior journalist Nusrat Javed has claimed that talks between the government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) committees were only a façade because actual negotiations were being held by Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi.

“Real negotiations are being held by Bushra Bibi. I told you this before as well… that two days ago, she went to negotiate somewhere without any security. And today, she went to Adiala Jail in a bulletproof car to meet Khan,” the journalist said during his show on Public News.

He also claimed that the PTI had categorically been conveyed to accept responsibility for May 9 riots and ask for forgiveness. “PTI leaders maintain if they concede to these demands, then, in return, they want the release of all PTI workers from prison, including those whom military courts have convicted. This is the bone of contention between both sides now.”

Nusrat also said that Imran Khan would have to take the first step in order to achieve a positive outcome of the ongoing talks.

It merits a mention that the government and PTI, for the first time in almost two years, have broken ice by agreeing to talk their issue out for “greater national interests”. First round of talks was held last week whereas the second round is scheduled for today (Jan 2). Both sides are expected to formally present their demands during today’s session.

National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq is reportedly facilitating and leading the negotiations during which the PTI has repeatedly expressed concerns over authorities alleged campaign to “dismantle” the opposition party.

PTI has also demanded the release of all its workers from prison, and sought a judicial commission to prove violent incidents that took place following Khan’s arrest in May 2023 as well as during the party’s march on Islamabad on November 26.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Wednesday said that his party would yet again take to streets if the ongoing dialogue ends inconclusively. He also confirmed that the PTI founder had permitted party leaders to continue holding talks with the government for the sake of the country.

Gandapur also reiterated his party’s demands for release of PTI founder and former premier Khan as well as other leaders and workers locked up in different jails across the country.

Amid unconfirmed reports of demands, deals and breakthroughs, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Irfan Siddiqui, who is a part of the government’s negotiation committee, has said that the ruling party would consult all coalition partners on PTI’s charter of demands.

Bushra Bibi hypnotised Imran Khan: Nabil Gabol

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Nabil Gabol on Wednesday, while referring to former First Lady Bushra Bibi’s influence in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) decision-making, stated that former Premier Imran Khan has been hypnotised by his wife, Bushra Bibi.

“I believe Bushra Bibi has hypnotised Imran Khan. Now, it has been proved that Bushra Bibi has Moakkal [jinn under command]. If he [Imran Khan] is sent across the seven seas, the magic’s effect on him would fade,” Gabol said.

“PTI’s new leadership is controlled by Bushra Bibi instead of Imran Khan. PTI MNAs are themselves worried, […] Bushra Bibi does not implement Imran Khan’s decision,” he said, adding that change in PTI leadership severely affected Imran Khan’s politics.

While acknowledging that founder PTI Imran Khan was a popular leader until now, he asserted “Imran Khan is not popular as a politician.”

Speaking about the PTI negotiation with the incumbent government and establishment, he remarked that the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, engaged in talks for a long time with the establishment.

Former Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) member Nabil Gabol observed that Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif was not focusing on government affairs as the country’s premier. “It seems Shehbaz Sharif wants to do something, but he is unable to do so […] his team is not good,” he added.

Underscoring the unsatisfactory performance of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) led government, Gabol suggested that the government should offer the driving seat to PPP.

Gabol complained that PML-N has not fulfilled some of their commitments, noting, “Disloyalty is in the nature of the PML-N. Their own people used to say that ‘Mian Sahib’ don’t used to be faithful,” he added.

When the journalist asked how PML-N came to power if their party leader is disloyal to others, Gabol concluded by saying that they have good fortune, adding, “Nawaz Sharif was born with a golden spoon in his mouth.”

Regarding the last year passed 26th Constitutional Amendment, Gabol said that the PPP affectionally achieved the required numbers to pass the amendment, adding that they don’t have steel in their necks as other party members have.

It should be mentioned here that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s PPP is the key ally of the PML-N-led government in the centre. PPP had played a key role in the passage of the 26th Constitutional Amendment last year.

  • Here are some of Senator Faisal Vawda’s predictions that came true

Here are some of Senator Faisal Vawda’s predictions that came true

Many Pakistani politicians have often been called spokespersons for the country’s establishment. In the corridors of power, there is always one voice that echoes the whispers of the unseen.

Earlier, the founder of Awami Muslim League (AML), Sheikh Rashid, was deemed the unofficial spokesperson of the country’s powerful establishment. However, Vawda, following his termination from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), had been given the title of the “political insider.”

Currently, Vawda is known for his claims, bold remarks, and headline-grabbing predictions that often prove accurate. Let’s explore some of his notable predictions that prove true or might be true in the future.

    Prediction about Bushra Bibi’s release

During a talk show on ARY News on October 23, Vawda said that the wife of former Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, will be released from jail in the upcoming days.

“She will be completely free, and no new cases will be made against her once her bail is granted. Regular meetings with Imran Khan will resume,” claimed the senator.

    True

On October 24, founder PTI Imran Khan’s spouse was released after being incarcerated for nine months in the Adiala Jail Rawalpindi.

Prediction about ex-ISI Chief Faiz Hamid’s military trial

Prediction about ex-ISI Chief Gen (r) Faiz Hamid

Senator Faisal Vawda said on October 21, 2024, while appearing on Samaa’s Nadeem Malik show, that former Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI) chief General (r) Faiz Hamid will face court martial and get the punishment he deserves, come what may.

    1735376439-PMOXZE57BV.jpg

“He [Faiz] will not only be court-martialed but will also be sentenced,” Vawda said. “Others will also be punished,” Vawda added.

    True

On December 10, 2024, ex-spymaster General (r) Faiz Hamid was indicted on multiple allegations, including engaging in political activities, Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

According to the military media wing, Hamid was charged with engaging in political activities, violations of the Official Secret Act detrimental to the safety and interest of the state, misuse of authority and government resources and causing wrongful loss to a person(s).

Currently, the former spymaster is facing Field General Court Martial (FGCM) proceedings, and the verdict is expected to come in January 2025.

At the time this story was edited, former spymaster Faiz Hamid was facing the FGCM proceedings. The military court decision is pending over Hamid’s alleged involvement in political activities, the violation of the Official Secret Act and others.

Senator Faisal Vawda’s other predictions that might be true in the future.

Prediction about the gun attack on Imran Khan at Wazirabad

On 12 December 2024, Senator Faisal Vawda, while appearing on Hum News ‘FAISLA AAP KA with Asma Shirazi,’ Vawda claimed that close aides of former Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan were involved in the attack that left him shot in the leg during a rally at Wazirabad in 2022.

“When Imran Khan finds out that his trusted people were involved in the attack on him, it will shake the ground beneath his feet,” he said.

On November 3, 2022, Imran Khan, along with other party leaders, was injured, and one party worker was killed when a gunman opened fire on the party founder’s container as the convoy reached Wazirabad’s Allah Wala Chowk.

Prediction about Journalist Arshad Sharif’s Murder case

Faisal Vawda often gave the perception that, allegedly, PTI Punjab political leadership has a direct link with the murder of journalist Arshad Sharif in Kenya.

    1735376540-KQA5CZ17OI.jpg

On 12 December in an ARY News programme, he emphasised that the verdict in the Arshad Sharif murder case would be the last nail in the coffin [for the PTI].

Prediction about the removal of one of the four province Governor

On 13 December 2024, Senator Faisal Vawda, while appearing on the ARY News show Aiteraz Hai, predicted that one of the four provincial Governors may lose their seat over allegations of moral corruption in the coming days.

On being asked to reveal the name of the Governor, Vawda hinted that he was involved in illegally acquiring money, creating confusion and damaging the country’s reputation. “The Governor might be changed either in a week, or it could take up to two months, but the ball is rolling now,” he added.

Currently, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan serves as the Governor of Punjab, while Faisal Karim Kundi holds the Governor’s position in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). Kamran Tessori is the Governor of Sindh, and Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail represents the federal government as the Governor of Balochistan.

However, except for the Governor of Sindh, Kamran Tessori, no other Governor reacted to the Vawda claim.

Blame games and allegations: PTI leaders question each other’s motives

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been going through increasing discord and divide amongst leaders, especially after its unsuccessful protest call on November 24, which led to multiple fatalities. Imran Khan’s aide and PTI supporter, Salman Ahmad, took to X (formerly Twitter) to post a long letter questioning Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi’s role in the recent protest.

“Bushra Bibi promised the protesters that she would remain at D Chowk until her husband’s release and expressed her determination: ‘I will never leave you. You promise me that you will not leave D Chowk without Khan.’ But then why did they decide to retreat when the situation was heading towards massacre,”  wrote Salman Ahmad, who has been openly critical of Bushra Bibi’s role in PTI.

Bushra Bibi had taken a central role in the November 24 call for protests, leading the caravan, along with the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, towards Islamabad.

Reportedly, Bushra Bibi refused to accept the government’s demand to relocate the PTI protest to Sangjani instead of D-Chowk.

The PTI leadership, including Bushra Bibi, vowed to reach D-Chowk under any circumstances, but when the government launched its crackdown at midnight on November 26, they were nowhere to be seen.

At least six lives were lost in the three days of protests, which included a policeman and three Rangers officials who were run over by a speeding vehicle, officials and hospital sources said.

Meanwhile, PTI leadership officially claimed the death of 12 of its supporters during the protest.

“Her sister Maryam Wato claimed that she was abducted by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, while Bushra Bibi insists: ‘I was at D Chowk till midnight; I was the last person there.’ Eyewitness accounts contradict her claim, who says she was in a bulletproof SUV and away from the centre of the demonstration,” wrote Salman Ahmad in a long post.

The Pakistani American singer and PTI activist also wrote: “Bushra Bibi claimed that she was shot, but no concrete evidence was presented to support this claim. Is there any CCTV footage to confirm this?”
Meanwhile, Geo News reported another spat between PTI leaders while they were attending the new Toshakhana case hearing on Monday.

Bushra Bibi reportedly briefed the PTI founder on the recent protest alleging that no mobilisation occurred from Punjab. After which, Barrister intervened, saying that 5,000 individuals from Punjab had been arrested. He further briefed the PTI founder about the crackdown and mass arrests targeting the party in Punjab.

Aleema Khan then questioned Faisal Chaudhry, Khan’s lawyer, about the lack of access to facilities, including a newspaper to Imran Khan and a monitoring commission previously set up by the Islamabad High Court.

In response, the lawyer said that he was doing everything within his capacity and raised concerns about why senior party officials were not actively approaching the court.

However, Mashal Yousafzai, who was recently kicked from CM KP’s cabinet as an advisor, interjected, accusing Chaudhry of obstructing the commission’s work, to which he replied that the commission was court-mandated and beyond his influence.

Barrister Gohar reiterated that certain decisions should be left to the party’s leadership to avoid confusion.

It is worth mentioning that this was the second time in less than ten days that a spat took place between Aleema Khan and Barrister Gohar. On December 5, Aleema confronted Salman Akram Raja and Barrister Gohar about the number of deaths that occurred in Islamabad in the PTI protest.
