Fahad Mustafa, Atiqa Odho apologise to each other after heated exchange

Actor Fahad Mustafa has issued a public apology to veteran actress Atiqa Odho after passing controversial remarks during a live segment of Jeeto Pakistan.

During the show, Fahad directly addressed Atiqa and expressed regret over his earlier sarcastic comments, which had triggered strong criticism on social media.

He praised her stature in the industry and said, “Atiqa Apa, you are our senior, we all love you and there is no doubt that you are the most beautiful woman of Pakistan. In front of you, I feel humbled. May Allah keep you happy. I love you, God bless you. I apologise to you.”

Atiqa had earlier also apologised to Fahad on social media, calling for calm and closure.

She urged people to move on and wrote, “Fahad is a talented and hardworking professional. He reacted emotionally and I feel sad that public figures can’t say anything light-heartedly without being attacked. If I unintentionally hurt him or anyone else, I apologise. Let’s forgive and forget. We are only human and to err is human.”

She also spoke about the pressures of social media and stressed the need for empathy and mutual support, especially during challenging times.

The controversy started after Atiqa suggested in an interview that Fahad should consider working with actresses closer to his age.

Fahad later responded on Jeeto Pakistan with a sarcastic remark that many viewers interpreted as age-shaming.

He said, “I do not know what problem Atiqa Apa has. Perhaps she will only be happy if Humayun and I start playing heroes opposite her. This has crossed all limits.”

“Atiqa Apa, it seems you are the only heroine left for us now. Inshallah, we will work with you. Just get two or four good surgeries, and we will come and play the hero opposite you,” he added.

Actress Urwa Hocane also weighed in, criticising the comment and intensifying the online debate.

Atiqa Odho remains one of the most influential figures in Pakistani entertainment. She began her television career in 1992 with Sitara Aur Mehrunissa and later earned acclaim for roles in Dasht, Nijaat, and as Farida Hussain in Humsafar.

Alongside acting, she runs Odho Cosmetics, supports breast cancer awareness initiatives, and serves as chairperson of the Actors Collective Trust. She continues to work in television and film, with recent appearances in Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi and the upcoming film Neelofar.

Fahad Mustafa, on the other hand, is one of Pakistan’s most successful television and film stars, known for balancing mainstream popularity with strong performances. He gained wide recognition through dramas such as Main Abdul Qadir Hoon, Kankar, Dusri Bivi, and Bashar Momin.

In cinema, he delivered major box office hits including Na Maloom Afraad, Actor in Law, Jawani Phir Nahi Ani, and Load Wedding.

Beyond acting, he is also a prominent producer and the long-running host of Jeeto Pakistan, making him a consistent and influential figure in the industry.

‘Not haram’: Hira Somroo on rumors of Fahad Mustafa’s alleged second marriage

Pakistani actress Hira Somroo has put in her two cents on the rumors of superstar Fahad Mustafa’s alleged second marriage, saying that if he has tied the knot again, it is a commendable step as he has done it the right way and not committed a sin.

Speaking during her recent appearance on the FHM podcast, Hira discussed inappropriate behavior within the entertainment industry and also addressed the speculation surrounding Fahad Mustafa’s personal life.

For several weeks, rumors have circulated that the Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad star secretly got married for the second time, though Fahad Mustafa has yet to comment publicly on the matter. However, sources privy to the matter have told The Current that the allegations are not true.

When asked about the rumors, Hira defended the actor, saying, “Fahad Mustafa is a very decent man. I’ve never heard a single inappropriate thing about him.”

She further added, “If he has gotten married again, then that’s a very good thing. He got married directly. He didn’t do anything haram. His first wife is also a very understanding woman, I’m sure she’ll understand.”

The actress expressed confidence that if the rumors are true, the situation would be handled maturely. “I don’t think there would be any fights or drama. I think everyone will live happily,” she said.

During the podcast, Hira also shed light on her own experiences in the entertainment industry, revealing how some colleagues have behaved inappropriately.

“Many people in the industry have tried to start inappropriate conversations with me,” she revealed, though she declined to name individuals. “It usually starts with a compliment, and then by midnight, they start asking for pictures.”

She added that she has often received offers to go out, but has always rejected them firmly. “I just give them a shut-up call and move on,” she said.

Concluding her remarks, Hira stated bluntly: “If anyone from this industry claims they’ve never experienced such behavior, they’re lying.”

  • Omar Saeed claim’s Fahad Mustafa’s ‘second wife’ runs his production house

Omar Saeed claim’s Fahad Mustafa’s ‘second wife’ runs his production house

Photographer Omar Saeed Ahmed has publicly alleged that Hina Amaan has taken complete control over Big Bang Entertainment, the production house co-founded by actor and host Fahad Mustafa.

In a viral video interview making rounds on social media, Omar Saeed did not mince words, claiming that Hina Amaan has effectively “taken over everything” at Big Bang, and that no decision is made without her approval. “Hina Amaan has taken over everything. Fahad Mustafa’s production house is taken over by her. Everything is done there on her order,” Omar declared in the interview.

Omar further alleged that those in the industry who fail to maintain a good rapport with Hina Amaan are quickly sidelined or removed altogether. Even veteran directors with major drama hits under their belts, he claimed, have faced professional consequences simply because of a fallout with her.

“She is the Queen, and a Queen has huge influence,” he said.

The strong language referring to Hina as “Queen” of the production house has fueled public debate online, with many netizens questioning whether Fahad Mustafa still has creative control at Big Bang or whether he has handed the reins entirely to Hina.

The bold claims have ignited intense discussion across platforms like Instagram and Reddit.

Hina Amaan is known to be involved in the production world, and has previously worked as a producer. She has been linked professionally to various entertainment projects and also runs Backseat Films.

Adding to the controversy are long-standing rumours that Fahad Mustafa and Hina Amaan may be secretly married, although no evidence has ever been presented publicly. Neither Fahad nor Hina have confirmed or denied such rumors.

However, sources privy to the matter have told The Current that the allegations are not true.

They alleged that Omar was “taking out old grudges” and had no proof of his accusations.

Earlier, actor and TV host Fiza Ali bashed rumor-mongers in a blatant statement to look at their “own matters” and “give privacy” to the actor.

She criticized the culture of gossip, saying, “Before commenting on Fahad Mustafa’s life, take a look at your own homes, your relationships, your health, and your families. Fix your own issues first.”

“Let Fahad live his life,” she said firmly. “If he chooses to share something publicly, he will. Until then, people need to mind their own business.”

  • Social media slams ARY for putting grieving Ahmad Shah on screen

Social media slams ARY for putting grieving Ahmad Shah on screen

Pakistani child star Ahmad Shah broke down in tears while remembering his younger brother Umer Shah during ARY’s 25th anniversary celebrations.

Ahmad, who rose to fame through his viral videos and appearances on television, was invited to the event alongside his elder brother. On stage, he broke down in tears while remembering his late brother Umer, who passed away earlier this month. ARY hosts Fahad Mustafa and Waseem Badami were present with him, consoling the young star as he struggled to hold back his emotions.

Umer Shah, the younger brother of social media and television star Ahmad Shah, passed away on September 15 in Dera Ismail Khan. His sudden death followed a rapid health decline at home. According to his family, Umer began vomiting late at night, and fluid entered his lungs, which led to his untimely death. This was the second loss for the Shah family in a short period. In  2023, Ahmad Shah’s younger sister Ayesha passed away.

During the ceremony, Ahmad also met ARY CEO Salman Iqbal, where he once again broke into tears while meeting him. Umer had been a familiar face on shows like Jeeto Pakistan and Shan-e-Ramzan before his sudden passing, which left the entertainment industry and audiences across Pakistan in shock.

Footage from the anniversary soon spread online, sparking mixed reactions. Many social media users expressed grief and support for Ahmad, writing prayers for patience and strength for the family. One user commented, “May Allah give them sabr. These little hearts must be broken.”

Others questioned why Ahmad was brought to such a public platform during a period of mourning, with one comment reading, “The parents are literally playing with the mental health of their children.” Others directed criticism towards ARY and its hosts.

Several users specifically called out Waseem Badami, saying he lacked sensitivity in handling the emotional moment. One comment read, “Someone, at least Waseem Badami, should have some sense of sensitivity.” Another accused the channel of exploiting Ahmad’s grief, writing, “ARY is doing all of this for TRP and views.”

Others echoed similar sentiments, describing the appearance as unfair to Ahmad. “This is straight up exploitation. This is sheer madness,” one user wrote.

The discussion has highlighted the fine line between paying tribute to a late family member and exposing a child star to public grief in front of television audiences. While some saw the moment as a heartfelt remembrance, others saw it as a case of insensitivity and commercialisation of tragedy.

  • ‘Personal Matter’: Fiza Ali asks for privacy for Fahad Mustafa amid speculation of second marriage

‘Personal Matter’: Fiza Ali asks for privacy for Fahad Mustafa amid speculation of second marriage

Actor and television host Fiza Ali publicly came to the defence of actor Fahad Mustafa amid swirling social media rumours that he has secretly entered into a second marriage.

Unverified news is circulating on social media that Fahad has remarried, though the actor has not addressed the allegations himself. Fiza, who has previously worked with Fahad, called out rumor mongers in a blatant statement.

“Fahad is like a brother to me,” Fiza stated on air. “Whether he has remarried or not is his personal matter, and people need to stop interfering in the private lives of others.”

She criticized the culture of gossip, saying, “Before commenting on Fahad Mustafa’s life, take a look at your own homes, your relationships, your health, your families. Fix your own issues first.”

Fiza didn’t hold back, adding sarcastically, “Instead of discussing someone else’s marriage, why not focus on cleaning your teeth and house, coloring your hair, returning the money you owe, and checking in on your friends and family?”

She urged the public to stop speculating about whether Fahad has left his first wife or lives with her, calling such discussions both unnecessary and harmful.

“Let Fahad live his life,” she said firmly. “If he chooses to share something publicly, he will. Until then, people need to mind their own business.”

Her strong stance sparked widespread discussion online. Supporters applauded her for calling out baseless gossip, while some speculated that her defence implied tacit confirmation of the rumours. Concurrently, claims that Fahad Mustafa has unfollowed his wife on Instagram have also circulated on social media, though it remains unconfirmed whether he had ever followed her in the first place.

It merits a mention here that unverified reports suggest that the Actor in Law star’s second wife is Hina Amaan, who owns production house Backseat Films.

Fahad Mustafa married Pakistani writer Sana Fahad in 2006 and together they have two children, daughter Fatima and son Moosa Fahad.

Director Nabeel Qureshi has reacted with sarcasm to actor Babrik Shah’s remarks about Fahad Mustafa’s acting skills during a recent TV interview.

In the interview, Babrik Shah took a dig at Fahad Mustafa’s acting, calling him “not film material” and “50-50” in movies. He added that Fahad’s real talent lies in hosting, even comparing him with legendary host Tariq Aziz, who was admired for his unmatched screen presence.

According to Babrik Shah, he is “not too good” in acting but deserves praise for his excellence as a host.

The remarks sparked strong reactions from fans, who came forward to defend Fahad Mustafa in the comments.

One fan wrote, “Fahad Mustafa is a brilliant actor.”

Responding to the criticism, Nabeel Qureshi jokingly addressed Fahad Mustafa and said, “Why are you not learning acting? When will you learn it?”

His witty remark amused fans, turning the critique into a lighthearted moment rather than a heated debate.

  • Fahad Mustafa says that a woman suffering from dementia recognised him because of Jeeto Pakistan

Fahad Mustafa says that a woman suffering from dementia recognised him because of Jeeto Pakistan

Television host Fahad Mustafa shared a heartwarming moment with a fan with dementia, highlighting the far-reaching impact of his hit game show Jeeto Pakistan.

Appearing on ARY’s special Eid programme, Fahad revealed that the show has touched lives in deeply emotional and unexpected ways.

“An 80-year-old woman with dementia, who doesn’t even recognise her own children or husband, recognises me only because of Jeeto Pakistan,” he recalled.

“I was shocked. People who don’t understand anything else about the world still understand this show and love it.”

Dementia is a degenerative brain condition that impairs memory, thinking, and behaviour. Fahad’s account highlights how entertainment, particularly something as widely loved as Jeeto Pakistan, can leave lasting emotional imprints.

Reflecting on the show’s immense popularity, he added: “People have started chanting Jeeto Pakistan instead of Pakistan Zindabad. I really want to understand what’s so special about this show that it touches so many hearts.”

Fahad also addressed the topic of gender-based pay disparities in the entertainment industry. He dismissed the common perception that women are underpaid, stating, “It’s wrong to say women are underpaid. Actresses like Mahira Khan, Ayeza Khan, and Hania Aamir sometimes charge more than male actors. As a producer, I’ve paid them more when they deserved it.”

He emphasised that the amount depends on an artist’s talent and popularity, not gender: “It’s not possible for a newcomer to demand the same as a top star. That’s just not how the industry works.”

Fahad also revealed that he didn’t charge anything for his role in the 2018 blockbuster Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2.

“I didn’t take any payment for the film,” he said.

The sequel to the 2015 hit was produced by Humayun Saeed, who recently hinted at a possible third instalment. Fahad confirmed, “If Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 3 is made and I’m cast, I’ll definitely do it. I love the team, and I work in the series because I enjoy it, not to compete with anyone.”

“Humayun Saeed is bigger than me. I respect him deeply, and it’s always an honour to work with him,” he added.

“Even if I work in the third film, I still won’t take any payment.”

Looking ahead, Fahad teased two upcoming films, “I’m currently working on two movies. I’ll be acting in and producing both. One will release in 2026, and the other in 2027.”

He also hinted at a return to television dramas: “There’s a drama I’ve been reading the script of, and it’s actually really fun. I think I can play that character. Let’s see what happens.”
