Senior actress Nadia Afgan has revealed that she received death threats from fans of actor Feroze Khan after she criticised him during a recent interview.

Nadia appeared as a guest on Kya Drama Hai for the second time this week. Referring to her earlier appearance where she discussed ongoing Pakistani dramas, she was asked, “Did you also receive death threats?”

“Yes, some people seriously threatened me,” she revealed.

Initially, she did not name anyone, but later in the interview, she confirmed that the threats came from fans of Feroze Khan.

“Feroze Khan’s fans got very emotional. They didn’t like my criticism and sent messages saying they would kill me,” she stated.

She further revealed that the abuse didn’t stop at threats; his fans also questioned her talent.

“They told me I didn’t know how to act and that I was criticising the best actor,” she said.

Nadia responded to the hate with composure. “I usually don’t reply to such messages, but this time I did. I told them, ‘Maybe I’m not beautiful, but I do know how to act.’”

For context, in an earlier episode of Kya Drama Hai, Nadia had commented on Feroze Khan’s drama Humraaz, calling him a “difficult actor” who tries to impress co-stars.

“I haven’t worked with him, but I’ve heard from many actresses that it’s not easy working with him,” she had said.

She had added, “I also heard that he lives in isolation and tries to isolate or intimidate his co-stars. But that’s just what I’ve heard, it’s not my personal experience.”

However, despite the death threats and criticism that followed, Nadia Afgan revealed in the next episode that her commentary on television dramas had also been widely appreciated.

“Many actors have sent messages praising my comments,” she shared.

However, some of her colleagues also advised her to be more cautious with her criticism.

“They said we all belong to the same industry, so I shouldn’t be so harsh,” she added.

According to Nadia, most of the appreciation came from the younger generation of actors and general audiences, many of whom messaged her personally to express their support.

She also noted that while her remarks sparked some criticism, many appreciated her honesty.

Aliza responded by saying, “Raising two children as a single mother is not an easy task.This task becomes even more difficult when the father you share with is an irresponsible person. Despite all the difficulties, as a mother, you have to do everything. Sometimes you have to be strict with the children, sometimes you have to be gentle with them, sometimes you have to listen to them, and sometimes you have to tell them.”

Aliza criticized Feroz Khan and his new wife regarding the children’s upbringing. She also praised mothers whose husbands are busy with work, saying, “Those mothers whose husbands are employed are also praiseworthy, as they are not able to give time to the house and children. In such a situation, women who take care of children are no less than heroes.”

Many users agreed with Aliza’s response. 

Aliza and Feroz, who is an actor, singer, and YouTuber, got married in 2018 and have two children, Sultan and Fatima. They announced their divorce in 2023. Feroz got married again in mid-2024.

In her post, Aliza expressed her frustration about taking care of their sick children alone, saying, “And when the child falls sick, they leave them at my door and run away.”

In response, Feroze hinted on social media that Aliza was seeking attention, saying, “You want some attention? Do I make you a star?”

Feroze and Aliza had two kids together, Sultan and Fatima, and despite their messy divorce in 2022, they’ve committed to co-parenting.

Their children spend time with Feroze’s family, including his new wife, Zainab. Photos suggest they have a good relationship with her.

Recently, Fatima visited Zainab’s clinic, and the pictures showed a positive experience, but Aliza’s recent comments implied that Feroze leaves the kids’ care to her when they are ill.

This exchange has drawn more media attention to their already complicated situation.
