Hania Aamir has captured international attention by earning the title of the top Pakistani star and securing the 9th spot on the renowned Top 50 Asian Celebrities in the World list, published by a UK-based weekly.

What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that she’s the only Pakistani actor to land a spot in the top 20, surpassing global icons from Hollywood, Bollywood, music, TV, literature, and social media.

Other prominent Pakistanis making the list include Riz Ahmed at 11, Zayn Malik at 21, Fahad Mustafa at 23, Shazad Latif at 24, Arooj Aftab at 33, Hiba Bukhari at 37, Atif Aslam at 41, and Sajal Aly at 48.

She added, “I do not want anyone else to go through the difficulties I have faced regarding mental health. For a long time, talking about mental health was considered taboo, but thankfully, that is no longer the case. I always say that I am afraid of my [public] image; how will I face Allah Almighty?”

“What will I say? That I made some films and earned a lot of money?”

Hania Amir also remarked, “It doesn’t suit me; I am not like that. I try to make people laugh, and my social media posts bring joy to people. I’m happy to know this, and I hope they realise that mental health is a common issue that they can talk about.”

She had given an interview to BBC Asia earlier this year, a video clip of which has surfaced in which she spoke openly about mental health.

Here’s how Hania Aamir helped Nameer Khan prepare for Mein

What does it take for a newcomer to succeed in a competitive industry like entertainment? For actor Nameer Khan, the key was simple guidance from A-lister Hania Aamir.

Appearing as a guest on Fuchsia Magazine, where the Mein actor opened up about his journey in the industry, he talked about the invaluable guidance he received from Hania Aamir during his debut project Mein where he played the role of Rayyan Jaffar.

Reflecting on his entry into the industry, Nameer said, “When I came back after doing Hum Awards, I had the opportunity to meet some amazing people. Those interactions were so good that I was just a message away from reaching out to them. If I messaged, they’d respond, guiding me on how to handle certain situations or projects. For someone not originally from this industry, it’s a huge blessing to have such mentors who can guide you, whether to take up a project, how to approach it, or how to handle things.”

Talking about his first major project, he recalled, “When I got my first project Mein, I remember reading the script, and honestly, I couldn’t understand it at all! I didn’t know what to do with dialogues, action lines, or screenplay details. So, I messaged Hania Aamir. I told her, ‘I don’t understand much. My project is about to start. Could you please guide me on how to approach it?’”

Hania was kind enough to say yes: “Over the next three to five days, she invited me over, and we sat together. She explained how to break down the script, how to prepare, how to take notes, and how important it is to know your continuity. The years of experience she shared with me became a solid foundation, which helped me immensely when I stepped into the project.”

The Qar-e Jaan actor also spoke about the support he received from Ayeza Khan and director Badar Mehmood during the shoot.

“On set, there was Badar Bhai (Director), and Ayeza Ji, Ayeza helped me a lot, we would sit together and rehearse the scenes. Our bond was established because we worked closely together. She would guide me and share her methods. She had this detailed binder with all her notes about continuity and how to approach the role. It was inspiring to watch her, and I learned so much, not just by asking but also by observing,”  Nameer Khan shared.

Reflecting on his experience, Nameer expressed his gratitude, saying, “Having someone with so much experience guiding me on my very first project was a blessing. It was a huge learning experience for me.”

  • Tauseeq Haider of ‘Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum’ hints at season two of hit drama serial

Tauseeq Haider of ‘Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum’ hints at season two of hit drama serial

Television host and actor Tauseeq Haider, who recently received praise for doing justice to his role of Murtaza in ‘Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum’, might have just hinted at a possible second season of the hit drama serial.

Appearing as a guest on the Tabish Hashmi’s Hasna Mana Hai, Haider was interacting with the audience when someone asked him about his character’s attitude towards Fahad Mustafa’s character in the drama.

“You recently did a new drama, ‘Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum’. Throughout the drama, you humiliated Fahad Mustafa’s character a lot. But when he succeeded in the end, why didn’t you praise him? You criticised him till he wasn’t doing anything. When he succeeded in the end, you didn’t praise him at all. Why is that?” a member of the audience asked.

The Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum actor replied, “Look, son, we should leave something for season two, right?”

Earlier, Haider also addressed some questions about his personal life that have been doing the rounds on social media.

“My question is regarding social media rumors that you never got married. Is there any truth to it?” another member of the audience asked.

“No, these are not rumors… this is the truth,” Haider confirmed.

The drama Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, which wrapped up with a grand finale in cinemas nationwide, has become a huge hit, with fans showing love for Mustafa and Sharjeena.

This success adds another milestone to Fahad Mustafa’s already impressive career.

Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum is written by Farhat Ishtiaq and directed by Badar Mehmood.

Last week, in a recent with Something Haute hosted by Hassan Choudhry, Fahad Mustafa revealed the story behind the iconic shirt scene from Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum.

The host asked, “The idea of creating highly realistic characters and showing Hania and you switching outfits, whose idea was that?”

Fahad replied, “You know, intimacy has its own height, we’re quite restricted when it comes to television, and many scenes that we showcased in the cinema were innocent and very cute. There wasn’t a cringe worthy moment or anything that would make you feel uncomfortable.”

“We thought, what could be the height of romance? If you’re truly in love with someone, what would you do, but then again, how could we show that? We can’t dance or do much else here. I think the maximum we could do was hold hands, and that’s about it”, he said.

Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum actor shared how the beloved shirt scene came to life.

“There’s a scene where she comes out of the bathroom, and I ask her, ‘what are you doing?’ We decided to just play with it. What I liked most was how the audience connected. If you show them things that happen to them or things that are normal, that’s where the romance lies. Romance isn’t about descending from a helicopter with flowing hair”, Fahad Mustafa added.

‘It’s not just my story, it’s Sharjeena’s too’: Fahad Mustafa on ‘Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum’

Fahad Mustafa, the lead actor for ‘Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum’, has yet again made headlines, but this time, for praising the team that made the drama a massive hit.

“The story in this drama isn’t just mine, it’s Sharjeena’s too… and in my opinion, this is the only drama in many years where every character has done a great job,” he said in conversation with Bollywood Hungama when asked if he thought the audience was biased towards Mustafa as compared to Sharjeena.

Reflecting on his ability to connect with viewers, Fahad replied, “Look, I’ve always had an issue with connecting with the audience. It’s a rare thing, but I always say that I’m gifted. Maybe the audience feels like I’m one of them. I look like a common man, I’m a common guy, the boy next door. So, there’s this idea that if a hero can be someone like me, then anyone can be a hero. This is how I quickly connect with the audience, so bias automatically comes into play.”

“It’s not just about Mustafa and Sharjeena… even the parents, Adil, Rubab and even the brother-in-law who played the role so well. Our sister [Maya Khan], she was very famous in our time… during PTV days, anyone who came on TV became a star overnight,” he added.

Fahad also opened up about his connection with fans, the success of the drama serial and the importance of collaboration between Pakistan and India while commenting on the drama’s success across the border.
“It’s a good thing that we work internationally… I worked with Om Puri, and when he came to Pakistan, he worked with me. I also worked with Kamaljeet and had interviews with Naseer Saab, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, and many others,” he said.

Fahad maintained that artists on either side of the border should interact on an equal basis so that projects on both sides can be at the same level. “Right now, people from India love our dramas. I don’t understand why we don’t work together, what’s the problem? At least both sides should have positivity, because people love each other.”

The ‘Actor In Law’ actor also highlighted the cultural connect between Pakistan and India, recalling moments where fans from both countries bonded over mutual love for cricket and dramas.

“Our people get visas to go to India, and many people come here. I play a lot of cricket so when I go to any ground, I usually meet Pakistani and Indian fans… some of whom are visiting their relatives here,” Fahad concluded.

  • Which is Fahad Mustafa favorite scene from Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum?

Which is Fahad Mustafa favorite scene from Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum?

When it comes to Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum actor Fahad Mustafa has a lot to say about the challenges of production of the megahit serial.

One scene in particular, stands as his favorite. Can you guess which one it is?

During his recent appearance on Something Haute hosted by Hassan Choudhry, Fahad shared his favorite scene from Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, and the struggle of the casting process.

Talking about his favorite scene from Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, Fahad Mustafa said, “The scene between Sharjeena and Mustafa that I like the most is the last scene, I really love that scene, and no one could have made that last scene, no one could have thought of it, no one could have created it.”

The Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum actor didn’t hold back when talking about the hurdles he faced as a producer and actor. He expressed frustration about how money often overshadows the creative process.

“I was a bit angry during the production of Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum. When I talked to anyone, all they were focused on was how much money they will make. I know that I would earn a lot of money from this drama, a lot of money, but it’s not about money. In any project, you have to be fully involved. If it doesn’t make any difference, there’s no benefit,” Fahad said.

As an experienced producer and actor, Fahad is keenly aware of the difficulties behind the scenes.
“Look, I’m a producer, and I’ve been in this industry for years. I’m not speaking ill about anyone, but as an actor, when I sit and watch my own drama, you can find many flaws in my production, and you can find many flaws in the writing by the writers. But you don’t know how hard it is to manage the actors,” the Main hoon Abdul Qadir actor explained.

Fahad Mustafa also highlighted the importance of giving the director enough time to deliver quality work.

“Directors are not directors anymore. I gave my director (Badar Mehmood) nine months, yet he delivered. Apart from that discussion, we won’t go into it. I gave him the gift of time. He was not worried whether I would leave at 9:00 or arrive at 8:00. I am here today, maybe not tomorrow. We took time, and to create good, memorable projects, all you have to do is be present in the moment,” Mustafa added.

Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum was written by Farhat Ishtiaq and directed by Badar Mehmood.
