VIDEO: Ex-wife accuses PM Imran of receiving illegal foreign funds

Reham Khan, former wife of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, has once again stepped forth to level allegations against the premier; this time of receiving illegal funds from a foreign company.

“Two companies registered in the United States (US) under the signatures of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan for illegal funding from the US. One company registered in Australia with the title: Insaf Australia Inc.,” Reham Khan tweeted.

She said that any funds received from internationally incorporated companies were prohibited under the law.

Continuing her tirade against the PTI leadership, Reham accused them of being involved in illegal transaction of money to Pakistan and being subjected to “moral corruption for hiding accounts from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP)”.

She asserted that the PTI had declared only eight accounts in the ECP against 23, the rest of which “are hidden”, adding that that the discovered fake accounts of the Imran-led ruling party showed foreign currency worth billions of money deposited in them.

Reham, however, did not quote the amount of the money allegedly hoarded in these accounts.

She further said that Akbar S Babar has also alleged that besides a registered account of PTI United Kingdom (UK), there are two hidden functional accounts of the party at Lloyds Bank London, which are used for transmitting millions of money in Pakistan to the PTI leadership.

Akbar S Babar is the person who has moved the petitions against PTI in its foreign funding case.

VIDEO: Journalist trolls Imran Khan for ‘another broken promise’

Journalist and anchorperson Shahzeb Khanzada has tolled Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan over “another broken promise”, and it’s hilarious.

Khanzada, in his show last night, aired an old video of PM Imran promising that he will create such opportunities in Pakistan that people from foreign countries will be seeking jobs in the country.

He also said that former Finance Minister Asad Umar had earlier claimed that people from foreign countries were already seeking executive positions in Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM), but in reality, the positions were still vacant and PSM was still inoperational.

Continuing his brutal trolling of premier and his aides, Khanzada also aired a video of Finance Adviser Abdul Hafeez Sheikh saying, “Our government’s target is to increase foreign employment of Pakistani citizens”.

He was heard as adding that this year from January to August, the government had sent around 373,000 people from Pakistan to foreign countries for employment.

Shahzeb then said that the government instead of providing job opportunities was now taking credit for sending people abroad for jobs.

‘PTI government will continue to rule country’, business tycoon quotes Gen Bajwa

All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) patron-in-chief Gohar Ijaz has said that COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa told businessmen that “the sitting government will continue to rule the country”, The News International reported.

According to the details, Gohar while talking in Geo News programme ‘Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath’, said that Thursday’s meeting of the army chief with the businessmen was arranged to give confidence to them.

He added that the COAS said they fully support the Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and the business community should also support him. Gohar said the business leaders assured that they will stand by the PM and will also guide the government in case it makes any mistakes.

The APTMA patron-in-chief said that the army chief assured the businessmen that no undue cases will be instituted against them through the National Accountability Court (NAB) and no businessman will face injustice.

“The business community continuously holds meetings with the economic team and military leadership and the meeting with the COAS was not an unusual thing”, added Gohar Ijaz.

Top business leaders of the country had earlier called on COAS General Bajwa on Wednesday night to convey their serious concerns about Pakistan’s stagnating economy.

  • Imran mocked for saying ‘Jinnah had cancer’

Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has said that Quaide Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah “had cancer and he kept it a secret from everybody”, in a blunder that has left Twitterati wondering if the premier is oblivious to what Jinnah really had — tuberculosis.

Speaking at Asia Society in New York on Thursday, PM Imran said that Jinnah was his role model who had a mission and joined politics for it alone. “He was in it for the mission, not the fame or power. Dreamers change the world, but career politicians never do.”

“He [Jinnah] didn’t tell anyone that he was battling cancer because he had a dream he wanted to fulfill,” the premier added, landing himself in crosshairs of netizens, who criticised the premier for “not knowing that Jinnah did not have cancer”.

Here’s what they had to say:

Another “thanked god for Imran not saying that Jinnah got treated at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital”.

This is not the first time PM Imran has said that Jinnah had cancer. A few months ago, he had said that the founder of Pakistan “didn’t disclose that he was suffering from cancer so that the enemy couldn’t create hurdles and delay the process of creation of Pakistan”.

    JINNAH’S DEATH:

From the 1930s, Jinnah suffered from tuberculosis; only his sister and a few others close to him were aware of his condition. Jinnah believed public knowledge of his lung ailments would hurt him politically.

Tuberculosis is a disease caused by bacteria called Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The bacteria usually attack the lungs, but they can also damage other parts of the body.

As his health deteriorated over time, Jinnah passed away in Karachi on September 11, 1948, at the age of 71, just over a year after Pakistan’s creation.

VIDEO: Fawad Chaudhry wants to be Deputy Prime Minister?

Minister of Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry says that he told PM Khan that in countries like Korea, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia, the ministers for science and technology are as powerful as a Deputy Prime Minister. (hint hint)

When we asked Fawad whether he was joking or being serious, he said he meant it as a joke.

Fawad’s counterparts in the countries he mentioned are:

The Minister of Science and Tech in Korea is Dr Yanghee Choi since 2014 but doesn’t have an active Wikipedia page. He was previously the Chairman of Samsung Science and Tech Foundation.

Minister of Science and Tech in Singapore doesn’t exist. Science and Tech comes under the Ministry of Trade and Industry whose minister is Chan Chun Sing who is a former major general and also served as Singapore’s Chief of Army (Infantry).

Yeo Bee Yin currently is the Minister of Energy, Science and Tech, Environment and Climate change in Malaysia. A member of parliament, one of her first initiatives was to ban on the import of plastic waste.

Indonesia’s Science and Tech minister is professor. Mohamad Nasir was also the Dean of the Accounting program at a university and was involved in a major controversy in 2016 when he wanted to ban the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community on campus.

  • ‘Will reform Punjab police first after assuming power’, vows Imran Khan

‘Will reform Punjab police first after assuming power’, vows Imran Khan

With the increase in the number of police brutality cases in Pakistan, yet another statement from the past has come back to haunt the Prime Minister (PM), Imran Khan.

Last year during his speech at Bahawalpur city, Imran Khan vowed that his first act after assuming power as PM will be to “bring reforms in Punjab police”. He said that he will make Punjab Police exactly like the one in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa free from political influence.

But with the recent appearance of two torture and murder cases of Punjab police in Lahore, it seems that Pakistan Tehreeke Insaf (PTI) government has failed to complete another promise it made to its supporters.

Last month in August, officials from the anti-corruption department unearthed a private torture cell in a forest near Karol village, set up by the station house officer (SHO) and constables of Gojjar Pura police to torture people illegally.

Similarly, a few days ago the ATM robber identified as Salahuddin Ayubi who went viral for making faces on the CCTV camera while robbing an ATM passed away in police custody.

The police claimed that Ayubi was behaving like a “mad man” in lockup when he suddenly became unwell. They added that the deceased was reportedly suffering from a health condition.

Both these cases have sparked outrage on social media and people are demanding justice from the Punjab Government.

This is not the first time police has been accused of brutally torturing or murdering people.

Previously, on January 19, four people were killed in an alleged shootout in Sahiwal, with the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel claiming they had killed a local commander of militant organisation Daesh and three others in the operation.

However, the eyewitnesses had claimed that the police recovered no explosives from the alleged militant’s vehicle. The case is still pending in the court.

Meet social media stars of Chohan’s TikTok video fame

A TikTok video of Punjab government’s spokesperson and ex-information minister Fayyazul Hasan Chohan went viral on social media, showing him and two girls laughing while asking him a question.

Since then, people had been asking who the two girls were as the video was followed by their pictures with Pakistan Terheek-e-Insaf (PTI) stalwarts, including Jehangir Tareen, Shah Mahmood Qureshi and even Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan.

    WATCH VIDEO:

To address netizens’ curiosity, Hareem Shah and Sundal Khattak were invited by a private media outlet, speaking to which they shared how they were big fans of the PTI, how they had gone to meet Chohan for an official concern and then recorded the video.

They also shared how they want to meet Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chief Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and record a TikTok video with him as well.

‘Nawaz, Zardari ready for plea bargain if Imran quits politics’

Former jailed prime minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and ex-president Asif Ali Zardari are ready to strike a deal for their release on the condition that PM Imran Khan leaves politics, senior journalist Dr Moeed Pirzada has said.

Sharing a “theory doing rounds in political quarters”, while hosting “Hard Talk Pakistan” television programme on a private media outlet Monday night, the journalist said that the two incarcerated leaders were ready to pay even more than $10 billion, but do not want to plead guilty.

“They are seeking plea bargains and might pay up to $20 billion, but are not ready to confess. They’re ready to leave the country but want a future for their children in politics,” he said.

Rumours are rife for the past few days as several journalists claim an underhand deal allegedly being negotiated between political leaders jailed over corruption charges and the PM Imran-led government.

No official statements have made headlines as of yet.

  • Imran Khan says ‘became PM by taking U-Turns’

Imran Khan says ‘became PM by taking U-Turns’

Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has said that he became the prime minister of Pakistan by taking “U-turns”.

He was speaking at the inauguration of a new academic block at the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI) of Engineering Science and Technology in Topi, where he said his opponents often accused him of taking U-turns from a particular stance.

PM said “I make compromises for achieving my goals, rather than compromising on my goals”, adding that “The opponents are raising hue and cry so that I give them NRO. This is simply out of question”.

This is not the first time Imran Khan has said something like that. Last year in November 2018, PM Imran on Twitter wrote that “Doing a U-turn (sic) to reach one’s objective is the hallmark of great leadership just as lying to save ill-gotten wealth is the hallmark of crooks”.

  • PTI govt accused of sidelining China to appease US

PTI govt accused of sidelining China to appease US

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed has accused the Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan-led government of “downgrading relations with China to appease the United States (US)”.

Addressing the joint parliament session on Wednesday, he alleged that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government deliberately slowed down the development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) while Islamabad negotiated with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a bailout.

“They also shared details of the CPEC with the US, against national interests,” he said, adding that the premier, during his Washington trip, also “completely miscalculated President Donald Trump’s mediation offer on Kashmir as it was deception, decoy and a trap”.

    WATCH VIDEO:

The senator said that the US Department of State had clearly supported the Indian narrative according to which the Kashmir issue was an internal matter between Pakistan and India, and the US should not intervene.

“The government sidelined China and thought that the US would help solve all its problems,” the senator said and added that the opposition had warned the ruling PTI that the move would upset the Chinese.
