    After a whirlwind romance and a very public surprise engagement, mayun and mehndi Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain are now husband and wife. The two exchanged vows in a beautiful daytime wedding. Yasir gave his bride 4 tolas of gold as haq mehr.

    Iqra looked regal in an all-red Nomi Ansari ensemble and makeup by Waqar Hussain, while Yasir donned a cream sherwani.

    Sharing details about the dress, Nomi said, “Our most anticipated work this year was definitely this magnificent piece we customized for the lovely Iqra Aziz. Bringing the look we had in mind to life was a one-of-kind experience that we enjoyed thoroughly! For this distinct all-red look we decided on an old school lehnga choli done our way with plenty of glitz and magic. We loved creating this piece as much as Iqra is loving wearing it.”

    Though Yasir Hussain and Iqra Aziz had a full-blown public proposal, their wedding events have been pretty low-key in comparison. The couple’s wedding festivities began with a bright, yellow mayun followed by an intimate mehndi. The nikkah is on December 28, according to a card shared by the two on their social media.

    After a whirlwind romance and a very public surprise engagement, Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain are all ready to tie the knot on December 28.

    The couple kickstarted their wedding festivities with a bright, yellow mayun.

    Pictures from the event were full of love as the couple looked into each other’s eyes.

    The couple glowed with happiness.

    Iqra wore a tailor-made jora which she designed herself.

    After the proposal of the year, Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain are all set to have the wedding of the year.

    According to the very fun and quirky wedding card shared by the couple on their respective social media handles, the two will be tying the knot on December 28 in an afternoon wedding. The official wedding hashtag is #IqYasirDaViyah.

    Though we have no information about who is going to be on the guest list, but we’re assuming there are going to be A LOT of people from the industry.

    Iqra and Yasir have been very public about their affection for one another and have almost always been spotted together. The two will also be appearing in two projects together: drama serial Jhooti and a feature film expected to release on Eid-ul-Fitr 2020.

    In their latest photoshoot for one of their favourite designers, Ali Xeeshan, both look regal and heavily adorned in Mughal style looks.

    Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain’s very public engagement at the Lux Style Awards had created quite a stir when it happened. A few weeks later, people finally got over it and moved on. Magar hua kuch yoon, keh eik aur twist aagaya. Turns out, the couple had been formally betrothed a long time ago and pictures from the event have finally surfaced on social media, sending fans into a frenzy once again.

    It all started when Iqra’s sister, Sidra shared a photo of the couple from what appears to be an intimate engagement ceremony. Fans began to speculate that the engagement happened in February because Iqra had posted pictures of herself in the same dress and styling as in the picture below. Yasir also sported a beard, which he had removed for his play Naach Na Jaane.

    Needless to say, that led people to comment that the LSA engagement was staged by the couple as a publicity stunt. And it turns out that the fans were right. About the February part, not the engagement or publicity one.

    Because a few hours later, Yasir took to Instagram to share that the pictures were from the couple “baat paaki” ceremony which was an intimate family affair. He said that according to him the engagement happens when rings are exchanged and those were exchanged in front of the whole world at LSA 2019. He said Iqra had no idea about the proposal and that he doesn’t care what the world has to say because he’s happy and in love.

    In just the past week, Iqra Aziz has talked about cyber abuse twice. Once before her engagement to Yasir Hussain and once after. In her first post, Iqra talked about how it takes a few words to bring someone down and tell them that they aren’t good enough. In her second post, post-engagement, she said that she is shutting out all those who are spreading hate and vitriol online.
