Battle of the dimples: Faisal Rehman thinks his is more famous than Hania’s

Veteran Pakistani actor Faisal Rehman has set social media ablaze with his cheeky claim that his dimples outshine those of Gen Z sweetheart Hania Aamir, and he’s got the fan following to prove it.

In a candid interview, the iconic heartthrob from the 1980s spilled the tea on everything from Bollywood dreams to beauty battles, boldly stating, “My dimple is more famous than Hania Aamir’s. She’s new in the industry. I’ve been around for decades.”

Faisal didn’t stop there. He added that women of all ages have swooned over his dimples for years, even revealing that he has “a dimple on both cheeks, one more visible than the other. When I gain a little weight, the second one pops too.”

The actor revealed, “I’ve even received letters written in blood — though I have no idea whose blood it was.”

When asked by the host about his recent shirtless photos, he clarified, “They weren’t nude photos — just topless ones.” The host then asked what the reaction was, to which Faisal replied, somewhat embarrassed, “I was heavily criticised on social media.”

The host also asked if he had ever been in love. “No, I haven’t,” he responded. “I’ve only ever loved myself.”

The actor went on to express his gratitude for remaining unmarried, saying, “I’m thankful I never got married, I can do all the things my married friends can’t.”

The actor, known for his evergreen charm, reminisced about his attempt to break into Bollywood, sharing that he often visited India in the ’80s and even auditioned for films. Despite his best efforts, he faced resistance from Indian filmmakers reluctant to cast a Pakistani actor.

The most eyebrow-raising moment came when Rehman threw some cinematic shade, confessing he never liked Aamir Khan’s acting — calling Shah Rukh Khan “just like you and me.”

‘He should get his own head checked’: Laiba Khan claps back hard at Yasir Hussain

Pakistani actress Laiba Khan has publicly clapped back at actor Yasir Hussain after he criticised her over a doctored video that falsely portrayed her as insulting celebrated actress Saba Qamar.

The controversy ignited when Yasir shared a viral edited clip in which Laiba seemingly said Saba was “beautiful, fair and tall, but did not know how to act”.

Reacting to the clip, Yasir took a personal dig at Laiba, writing, “Ye bohat achi larki hai in k Dimaghi ilaaj ka mutalba sarkari sata pe hona chahiye [she is a very decent girl… her mental illness should be addressed at the governmental level].”

However, Laiba quickly set the record straight, calling the video “fake” and slamming Yasir for commenting without verifying facts.

“People like @yasir.hussain131 made judgment about the fake one that went viral a year ago. Like Yasir Hussain, jinka khud dimagh kharab hai [whose own mind is not right], should’ve watched that show before passing judgment about me,” Laiba fired back in an Instagram story.

She also emphasised her admiration for Saba and said, “The whole world already knows @sabaqamarzaman is a brilliant actress; she doesn’t need your validation.”

Sharing the original unedited video, Laiba clarified that her comment was actually about Bollywood actresses.

“I have seen many actresses of Bollywood who do not know how to act, but they are beautiful, fair and tall… yet they have become actresses,” she had said. Furthermore, when asked what profession Saba Qamar would have chosen if not acting, Laiba had answered, “Saba Qamar could have been a lawyer.”

Meanwhile, social media users are happy that Laiba took a stand for her and did not let misinformation ruin her reputation.

Laiba Khan made her television debut with Do Bol and rose to fame with Mera Dil Mera Dushman. She is garnering acclaim for her role in the hit drama Mohabbat Ka Safar, which is currently airing on ARY Digital.

  • Internet reacts to video of Javeria Abbasi explaining ‘marriage with her step-brother’

Internet reacts to video of Javeria Abbasi explaining ‘marriage with her step-brother’

A resurfaced interview of veteran actor Javeria Abbasi has reignited public interest due to a revelation about her unusual family and marital history. During a candid conversation with TV host Nida Yasir, Javeria opened up about how her ex-husband, actor Shamoon Abbasi, was also her step-brother.

The interview began with Javeria detailing her early entry into the entertainment industry. She recalled attending Express Talent as a member of the audience, where she approached the late Nayla Jaffrey for an autograph. Instead, she was encouraged to audition. That moment marked the beginning of her acting career, and she soon earned her first award for a PTV drama directed by Nida Yasir’s father.

When asked if she was married at the time, Javeria revealed she had just gotten engaged to Shamoon. The host then shared that the couple’s unique family dynamic was the inspiration behind drama serial Hum Tum, which starred Atiqa Odho, Sajid Hassan, Aamina Sheikh, and Mohib Mirza.

Clarifying the family ties, Nida explained, “Javeria’s mother and Shamoon’s father married, making them step-siblings.” Javeria confirmed this, adding, “People often get confused by our family setup. The rest of our siblings are from our respective parents. That’s why there’s always confusion about whether Anoushey Abbasi is my sister or Shamoon’s, she’s both.”

Nida light-heartedly addressed the controversy surrounding Javeria and Shamoon’s relationship, saying, “So take your mind out of the gutter.” Javeria responded with humor, “He was the first man I saw, so I thought I’d just hold onto him,” she laughed, before adding, “It was more about bringing the family together under one roof. It made sense and worked for a while.”

The actor shared that her wedding took place at her maternal uncle’s house, despite the rukhsati leading her back to her family home. The couple, who tied the knot in 1997, when Javeria was just 17 and Shamoon was 22, were married for over a decade and co-parent their daughter Anzala. They officially divorced in 2009.

Reflecting on her marriage, Javeria noted that being married to someone within the family didn’t exempt her from the traditional “saas-bahu” struggles. In fact, she claimed it was harder. “My mother was determined to prove that her daughter was the best. While working 12-hour shifts, I still had to manage all the household chores.”

Following her divorce, Javeria moved back in with her mother. In a happy turn of events, she found love again and married businessman Adeel Haider on March 15, 2024. The couple’s relationship began as love at first sight for Haider, who reportedly spent three years convincing Javeria to marry him.

However, social media users were amazed to hear the story and have mixed opinions about it. One netizen said, “It might be allowed in Islam.”  While many badmouthed the actors and questioned whether they could not find someone else to marry.  Another user wrote: “This is Pakistan, anything can happen here.”

  • ‘Traces of blood, absent organs’: Final report raises alarming questions about Humaira Asghar’s mysterious death

‘Traces of blood, absent organs’: Final report raises alarming questions about Humaira Asghar’s mysterious death

The final medico-legal report into the death of model and actor Humaira Asghar has deepened an already puzzling investigation, bringing forth revelations that have left many shocked.

According to the report, traces of blood were found on Humaira’s T-shirt and trousers. However, due to the limited presence of human DNA in the samples, experts were unable to identify the source of the blood. This inconclusive detail raises serious concerns about what may have occurred in the final moments of her life.

Even more unsettling is the condition in which the body was found. Only skeletal remains were recovered — no soft tissue or vital organs were present. While the bones were largely intact, the complete absence of internal organs made it impossible to determine the exact cause of death. Although, the organs were absent so this cannot be specified as if it was a result of the decomposition or they were removed pre or post-mortem. Toxicology tests also revealed no traces of intoxicants or poisons.

This case also highlights a significant gap in forensic capability in the country: the absence of a national blood and DNA database. Authorities and forensic officials have acknowledged that such a resource could have potentially led to a breakthrough, possibly identifying the blood or even those involved.

Humaira Asghar, aged 42, had been living alone in a third-floor apartment in the commercial area of DHA Phase VI, Karachi, since 2018. She reportedly stopped paying rent in early 2024, which eventually led to a court-ordered eviction.

Her body was discovered months later when the landlord arrived with court bailiff and police to execute the eviction. The apartment door was locked from the inside, forcing authorities to break it open. Inside, they found the actor’s body in an advanced stage of decomposition.

Why does Saleem Mairaj keep getting compared to Nawazuddin Siddiqui?

The co host asked, “Being such a versatile actor, you are often compared to Nawazuddin Siddiqui, do you feel satisfied with this comparison, or do you think it’s unnecessary?”

Mairaj replied, “This question has been asked 200 times, and I don’t understand if it doesn’t make sense to me or if the comparison itself doesn’t make sense, let me tell you, he is a great actor.”

Saleem Mairaj recalled a funny story about an experience he had while getting a passport.

“However, I had a very strange experience once when I went to get a passport, I was standing in line when two women were also in line. They had watched the Indian film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ the previous night. One of them was saying to the other, ‘Look, he was in that film last night.’ They didn’t recognize me as Saleem Mairaj,” the Alif actor added.

  • Saba Faisal has a strange tip for girls who want to marry rich

Saba Faisal has a strange tip for girls who want to marry rich

Veteran actress Saba Faisal was a guest on the Samaa show ‘Subh Ka Samaa Madehaa Kay Sath’ where she spoke about girls having unrealistic expectations from marriage, including immediately becoming the owner of a home after marrying a man. Her advise to these girls who wished to become financially secure was, not to look for better jobs, but to marry older man.

“Today’s girls think they will immediately become owner’s of homes after getting married and have a lot of wealth. They don’t realise that young men are struggling with their jobs in these periods. If you’re looking for financial stability, then a better choice is that you marry a man who is between the ages of 40 or 50. Since he would be able to fulfil all of your needs.”

Turns out this wasn’t the only housekeeping tip Miss Saba had to offer on the show. She also urged parents to pray for their son’s fortunes, rather than entirely focusing on their daughters because after all it is the son who is responsible for running the entire household. Women can’t become bread winners, Miss Saba? They are solely just burden on their parents because they have to eventually get married and become the responsibility of someone else?

“Parent’s shouldn’t just pray that their daughters fortunes are good, but they should also pray that their sons are blessed in life. They are the ones who are responsible for handling an entire household, and when they get married they have to get a wife who would take care of the entire family. Men have an enormous responsibility.”

Can celebrities please stick to solely acting projects and not churn out advice we never asked for?

The actress was not here for the cynics shaming her for finding love for the second time. Kiran responded to a troll who accused her of marrying soon after getting divorced:
