Shoaib Malik, Sana Javed debunk divorce rumors with affectionate pictures

Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik and his wife, actress Sana Javed, have put to rest rumors circulating on Indian media about their marriage ending, by sharing affectionate pictures together from their recent trip to the United States of America.

Speculation about their relationship began after a video surfaced online in which Sana appeared visibly upset. The clip quickly went viral, sparking widespread rumors across social media about a possible fallout between the couple. Indian media outlets went a step further, reporting that Malik and Javed were on the verge of divorce.

However, the couple has strongly refuted the claims. Taking to Instagram, Shoaib and Sana shared a series of cheerful photos from their time in the US, appearing relaxed and happy. One caption read, “Always a good day for goofing around with this,” alongside a playful photo of the two.

Sana also posted solo pictures from her visit to the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame in California, captioning it, “Stardust on my shoes.”

Shoaib Malik and Sana Javed tied the knot in January 2024, surprising fans with the announcement that came just months after Malik confirmed his divorce from Indian tennis star Sania Mirza. Malik and Mirza were married for over a decade before officially ending their marriage in late 2023.

The latest public appearance by Malik and Javed seems to be a clear message to dispel ongoing speculation, reaffirming that all is well in their marriage.

  • Shaheen’s pace has dropped since injury, he has forgotten bouncer: Bazid Khan

Shaheen’s pace has dropped since injury, he has forgotten bouncer: Bazid Khan

Former Pakistan cricketer and renowned analyst Bazid Khan has raised concerns over ace bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi’s declining pace and diminished use of the bouncer, attributing the changes to his return from injury.

Speaking on PTV Sports during a post-match analysis show hosted by Zainab Abbas, Bazid suggested that the left-arm pacer no longer possesses the same fear factor that once made him a standout performer in world cricket.

“His pace was noticeably higher before the injury,” Bazid noted. “His inswingers were sharper and more impactful. Since returning, he hasn’t quite regained that intensity.”

Bazid pointed out that Shaheen appears overly reliant on attempting yorkers too early in his spell, rather than building pressure with short-pitched deliveries. “He’s pitching the ball up too much with the new ball. Given his height, he could be far more effective by setting up batters with short-of-a-length deliveries,” Bazid explained.

The analyst also expressed surprise at the pacer’s reluctance to bowl bouncers, especially in the initial overs. “I honestly can’t recall the last time he bowled a bouncer early in the innings. It’s surprising for someone of his stature. In the match against India, after getting hit for boundaries, I thought a bouncer in frustration was the natural response. Bouncer… I think he has forgotten? But it seems like it doesn’t even cross his mind anymore.”

Despite the criticism, Bazid acknowledged that Shaheen has started to employ a shorter length more frequently, which he believes is a step in the right direction.

The discussion followed Pakistan’s 41-run win over the United Arab Emirates in the Asia Cup 2025.

Batting first, Pakistan overcame a mid-innings collapse to post 146-9 in their 20 overs. Contributions from the lower order proved crucial, with Shaheen Afridi delivering a valuable cameo of 29 runs off 14 balls to push the total beyond reach.

With the ball, Shaheen made an impact as well, claiming two important wickets and earning the Player of the Match award for his all-round performance. His spell helped Pakistan restrict UAE effectively and secure their place in the Super Four stage of the tournament.

‘Reading Namaz in front of Indians’; Rizwan targeted by same lawyer who harassed Zainab Abbas

Indian lawyer, Vineet Jindal, who had previously filed a case against sports presenter Zainab Abbas, resulting in her leaving India under security threats, has now turned his proverbial guns on Pakistani cricketer Muhammad Rizwan.

Jindal has written a complaint against Rizwan to Greg Barclay, the head of the International Cricket Council (ICC) for offering prayers on the field.

He goes on to write that the act of Namaz raises “questions about the spirit of the match and ideology”, since it was said in a “field amid many Indians.”

He also writes that Rizwan offering prayers among Indians is “symbolic” of the “intentional depiction of his religion.”

Users on social media are in a state of shock with some suggesting that ‘it seems to shock Jindal that Rizwan is, indeed, a Muslim’.

    https://twitter.com/salmank11727912/status/1713418526650974243?s=48&t=rOeCbdRYErknX-iusAjnIQ

Jindal continues to criticise Rizwan for dedicating his win to the people of Gaza, saying that dedication was against the ideology of India. His criticism seems unwarranted since the ICC, when responding to a similar comment by an Indian journalist said that Rizwan’s tweet about Gaza was his right since posting his opinion on social media did not fall under the rules of the game.

Netizens are also worried that Jindal seems to assume that Rizwan is Indian and not Pakistani. Why else would he have to follow Indian ideology?

He ends his complaint by asking ICC to take action against Rizwan.
