  • Video: ‘Chupke Chupke’ star Aymen Saleem is set to make her comeback, ‘Back to stay’

    Udaari star Ahsan Khan shared a behind the scenes video of model and actress Aymen Saleem from the sets of Time Out with Ahsan Khan. The video has gone viral on social media as Aymen has announced that she is back in the tinsel town and fans will have to watch the show to know the details regarding her comeback.

    The Qayamat hero continued asking: “Are you working on something these days?” to which she responded by saying on a lighter note, “Not yet but i am back to stay.” She mentioned that its all that she can reveal for now.

    Earlier, this year in July the Chupke Chupke fame actor announced that she will no more be acting for personal reasons.

    Aymen Saleem debuted with the Blockbuster Ramadan special play, Chupke Chupke co-starring Arsalan Naseer, Osman Khalid Butt and Ayeza Khan. The actress received praise for her debut performance as Mishi, her chemistry with Arsalan was also lauded by fans.

    Morning show host and actor Nida Yasir and her director husband Yasir Nawaz are vacationing currently in Maldives, also seen in the pictures is their youngest son, Balaj.

    The duo donned colour-coordinated attires and are oozing terrific chemistry in their pictorial outings.

    In June 2021, Nida and Yasir went on a vacation to Turkey, the Nadaaniyaan star shared her experience of robbery on her show that made her trip’s climax a bitter experience.

    Actor Zahid Ahmed has called out an Instagram user for leaving an unwanted comment under his post’s comment section. The Daldal star posted a picture of himself in a desi outfit on which a netizen commented insensitively, “Ami ka dupataa le kar nikal aya hai larka.”

    Zahid responded by stating, “Meri ami ka inteqal ho chukka hai, bilkul iss qaum mein tehzeeb ki tarhan.”

    On the work front, Zahid was recently seen opposite Mahira Khan in Sheheryar Munawar’s Prince Charming.

    Six star-studded dramas announced with exciting themes

    Ever since the pandemic woes have damaged the film industry’s progressions in Pakistan, the biggest of stars and technicians have switched to the medium of television. A boast of exciting ensemble casts are teaming up for exciting small screen projects.

    Here’s a list of six recently announced projects that audiences are keenly awaiting:

    Baddua

    Syed Ramish Rizvi, of Jhooti fame, will be directing this drama penned by Samina Ijaz, who has previously worked on Yaariyan and Kaisa Hai Naseeban. Muneeb Butt and Amar Khan will be starring in lead roles, reuniting after Choti Choti Baatein. The supporting cast includes names like Mehmood Aslam, Saba Faisal, Rubina Ashraf, Abdullah Ejaz and Komal Rizvi.

    Amanat

    Shahid Shafaat of ‘Tou Dil Ka Kya Hua’, has roped in names like Imran Abbas, Urwa Hocane, Saboor Aly, Haroon Shahid, Asad Siddiqui, Salman Saeed and Babar Ali in his directorial project. The shooting is almost complete and the drama can release by the end of this year.

    Jhooti

    Actors Farhan Saeed and Hania Aamir will soon be seen opposite each other in the upcoming drama serial Jhooti by ARY Digital and Six Sigma Entertainment. The cast includes names such as Zoya Nasir, Saba Hameed, Waseem Abbas, Osama Tahir, Samina Ahmad and Angeline Malik.

    Sinf-e-Aahan

    ISPR has roped in five leading ladies in their forthcoming drama titled as Sinf-e-Aahan which will be co-produced by Humayun Saeed and is to be directed by Nadeem Baig. The small screen mega project is based on the theme of women empowerment and has been penned by the acclaimed writer, Umera Ahmed. Sajal Ali, Yumna Zaidi, Kubra Khan, Syra Yousuf and Ramsha Khan will be seen in pivotal roles.

    Mein Haari Piya

    Written by the acclaimed novelist Qaisera Hayat, who was also behind hits like Alif Allah Aur Insaan and Saya-e-Dewar Bhi Nahi. Dunk director Badar Mehmood will helm this project. The show features a fresh pairing with Hira Mani and Sami Khan in the leading roles. The cast also includes Sumbul Iqbal and Hamza Sohail. Seeing the names attached to it and this new exciting pairing, we cannot wait to experience it on television.

    Ek Jhoota Lafz Mohabbat

    After a short hiatus, Baaji star Amna Ilyas is returning to television with a new drama. The actress will be seen alongside Junaid Khan, Emmad Irfani, and Aiza Awan in an upcoming Express TV drama serial Ek Jhoota Lafz Mohabbat. Amna will be seen playing the role of Aleeza, whereas Junaid will be seen as Maaz and Emmad will be portraying the role of Hassan, who is not only rich but is deeply in love with Areesha.

    Blockbuster duo of Fawad and Mahira spotted on the sets of ‘Neelofer’

    Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan created history on television with Humsafar in 2011 as the drama broke all the ratings records. The dynamic duo will be seen together in the upcoming feature film Neelofer.

    In an interview the Raees diva mentioned that this is her most challenging role till date. A few behind the scene pictures from the film’s shoot are circulating on social media.

    The film’s shoot was wrapped up earlier this year in the Walled City of Lahore.

    Actors Aagha Ali and Yasir Hussain are all set to make their directorial debut’s with the upcoming web films. The Mere Meherbaan star will be directing a thriller, Raat starring Hina Ali whereas the Lahore Se Aagay actor will be directing Fahad Sheikh and Mansha Pasha in Koyal.

    “Super happy and proud to announce this one. This is not just my directorial debut but my first one as the Producer as well. I present to you the first official poster of “RAAT” our upcoming Web-Film,” wrote Agha while making the announcement on his Instagram handle.

    Yasir Hussain is directing a series based on sister rivalry Koyal. The script is written by Zanjabeel Asim and it also features Fareeha Jabeen, Muhammad Noor-ul-Hassan, Maham Aamir, Yasir Taj, Umer Aalam, Faysal Shahzad, and Sajeel Meer.

    Mehwish Hayat took to her Instagram account to condemn the rising violence against women and Judiciary’s proceedings on all the important cases. The Punajb Nahi Jaungi star also questioned the government and the Judicial system in a series of Instagram stories .

    “Time for hashtags and slogans is over, we demand to know what the government is going to change the system,” she wrote.

    The Load Wedding diva also said that its time for women to define their own narrative adding that, “We will not be bullied into silence.”

    “Laws are there, but we need to make the enforcement of them more rigorous and less Traumatic for the victim.”

    “Action has to be taken now. Before another victim, becomes a hashtag,” she concluded.

    On the work front, Mehwish will be seen next in Humayun Saeed starrer London Nahi Jaunga, also featuring Kubra Khan.

  • Kubra Khan reveals the real reason of rejecting Humayun Saeed’s ‘Meray Paas Tum Ho’

    Kubra Khan recently appeared on Ahsan Khan’s show in which she revealed the reason behind rejecting Humayun Saeed’s blockbuster drama Meray Pass Tum Ho.

    The Alif star was offered the character of Hania, played by Hira Mani. Kubra while revealing the reason for rejecting the drama said that she was on a break at that time, adding that she did not feel like doing the character of Hania after reading the script.

    Hania’s character was a supporting role.

    On the work front Kubra will be seen in drama serial Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay. Based on Umera Ahmed’s novel, it features Mahira Khan Usman Mukhtar and Kubra Khan as Mehreen, Aswad and Mashal respectively. The drama is directed by Pyar Ke Sadqay fame Farooq Rind.

    The occasion of Eid ul Azha is finally here and the leading entertainment channels are all set to broadcast various dramas and telefilms during all three days of Eid festivities. Geo Entertainment is always in the lead with its superhit dramas, movies and special telefilms.

    Geo has got something special lined up for us on each day of Eid, so let’s take a detailed look at their Eid line-up for all three days:

    Eid Day 1

    On the first day of Eid, Geo Entertainment has got us all covered with feature films, special telefilms, and drama serials. Geo will be kicking off Eid celebrations with a signature feature film, Heer Maan Ja, which will go on-air at 10:30am. The film features Ali Rehman Khan and Hareem Farooq in lead roles and covers their exciting journey of how they parted ways and then met years later only for their lives to turn upside down and turning into a rollercoaster ride where Heer falls into danger and needs Kabeer’s help.

    Up next, they’ve got the perfect animated film to keep the children busy, which is The Donkey King, which will air at 2pm. Followed with Kurulus Osman Season two, Mega Episode, which will be aired at 5pm. The show follows the life of Osman Ghazi as he struggles to find and control the Ottoman Empire. After that, Bechari Qudsia will be on television at 7pm. The drama serial which features an ensemble cast follows the life of a young middle-class girl and how she loses her true identity once she is exposed to
    new surroundings.

    At next at 8pm, they’ve got the super hit drama serial by 7th Sky entertainment, which is Fitoor. Starring Faysal Qureshi, Hiba Bukhari and Wahaj Ali in pivotal roles, this drama serial is a must watch! Produced by the media moguls of the entertainment industry, Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi, the drama narrates a love story that transcends above all and how a person in love is bound to forget his worries of the past and the uncertainty of the future.

    Finally, at 9pm they’ve got an all-new rom-com telefilm, perfect to watch with your family members, Romantic Razia. Another ace production by 7th Sky production, the telefilm features Hina Altaf and Azfar Rehman in lead roles. Hina, who plays the role of Razia dreams of going to the northern areas for her honeymoon and Rameez, played by Azfar, crosses paths with Hina. However, a misunderstanding happens between the two and so their families try to resolve it as they try to bring the two together. A great watch during the Eid holidays and something to look forward to for sure!

    To conclude day one, Dil Tera Hogaya will go on-air at 11pm. Starring Feroze Khan and Zara Noor Abbas, this is another great telefilm produced under the banner of 7th Sky Entertainment. The story follows two families who are divided by familial relationships but united by hearts. The perfect end to Eid day one!

    Eid Day 2

    Just like the first day of Eid, Geo has got some pretty interesting picks for the second day as well. Kickstarting the day at 10:30am with a hilarious film, Wrong No starring Danish Taimoor, Javed Sheikh, Sohai Ali Abro, and Danish Nawaz, this film will definitely get you in a great mood at the start of Eid day two.

    Up next is 7th Sky Entertainment’s hit telefilm, Teri Meri Kahani at 2pm. This romantic telefilm starring Haroon Kadwani and Seher Khan is the perfect watch!

    Followed with another Mega Episode of Kurulus Osman at 5pm, another new episode of Bechari Qudsia at 7pm, and then an all-new episode of the drama serial Fitoor at 8pm.

    Keeping the tradition and spirit of Eid alive, an all-new telefilm by the maestro production house, 7th Sky Entertainment, Dadi Ka Damad will go on-air at 9pm. The telefilm, produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi, stars the lovely duo of Affan Waheed and Madiha Imam and centres on familial ties and two families reuniting. The trailers of the telefilm have already created a lot of buzz amongst fans and it’ll no doubt be a great watch with the family during the Eid festivities.

    Eid day two comes to an end with another must-watch telefilm, Zoya ne haan kardi, which goes on-air at 11pm. This story is about a young couple starring Agha Ali and Hiba Bukhari who are bound by their families, struggle to get into a relationship with each other. This light-hearted telefilm is the perfect end to a perfect Eid day two.

    Eid Day 3

    Just like Eid day one and two, Eid day three also has a great, entertaining lineup for us all. Geo entertainment will be starting us off with a revenge thriller film, Wajood at 10:30am starring Javed Sheikh, Danish Taimoor, Nadeem Baig, and Saeeda Imtiaz. Up next at 2 pm, they’ve got another great film, Wrong no. 2 starring Neelum Muneer, Sami Khan, Javed Sheikh, and many others. Another great comedy that will get you in the perfect feel-good mood for the day.

    Once again at 5pm, a new Mega Episode of Kurulus Osman will go on-air, following an all-new episode of Bechari Qudsia at 7pm.

    At 8pm, Geo will be show-casing an all-new Mega Episode of the super-hit drama serial, which has been making serious waves in the entertainment industry, Khuda Aur Mohabbat.
