She had been living alone in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal neighborhood of the city. According to police, neighbours informed her family after noticing a strong odour coming from the flat. Her body was believed to be nearly a week old by the time it was discovered.

Khan had not been seen in public for several years due to health issues, leading her to withdraw from acting.

  • ‘Do you feel the thunder?’: PTV’s new Pakistan Air Force video will give you goosebumps

‘Do you feel the thunder?’: PTV’s new Pakistan Air Force video will give you goosebumps

As Pakistanis continue to troll Indians and heap praises at the country’s armed forces for a befitting response to Indian aggression, state-run Pakistan Television (PTV) has also posted quite the video edit of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) visuals on the hit Imagine Dragons song ‘Thunder’.

According to the details, the video was uploaded to the official X account of PTV News shortly after the ceasefire, mediated by the United States (US), between the nuclear-armed neighbours.

While US President Donald Trump announced the ceasefire in a post on his social media accounts and Secretary of State Marco Rubio expressed hope it would result in lasting peace, PTV posted the edit, captioning it, “Tribute to the Pakistan Air Force. Thunder lightening.”

The 46-second video showed PAF pilots demonstrating aerial skills of Pakistan’s top jets, the JF-17 Thunder and the Chinese-made 4.5 generation J-10C. “India felt the thunder… Do you wanna feel the thunder?” read the text in the video.

While people in Pakistan were already feeling on top of the world with the armed forces’ decisive strikes, the move by the state-run channel, which is usually criticised for “not being in the know of modern trends”, left netizens continuing to cheer.

Social media users flooded the comment section as a number of them praised the choice of the song. “Imagine Dragons wrote this song for our warriors,” said one user.

“Allah nazr-e-bad se bachaye [May Allah protect from evil eye], they are our pride & joy,” wrote another.

A third user wrote, “Feel the Thunder! ahhhh goosebumps. Our pride, PAF Share this 1000 times.”

“PTV using Imagine Dragons wasn’t on my bingo card but I am so HERE for it,” read another comment.

It merits a mention that PAF, while acting swiftly during the night of May 6 and May 7 against Indian aggression, shot down five Indian Air Force (IAF) fighter jets, including one Su-30, one Mig-29 Fulcrum and three western hardcore-proven 4.5 generation Rafales.

That, however, wasn’t all that was achieved as the PAF, in coordination with other branches of the military, also contributed to Operation Bunyan Un Marsoos a day later, forcing India to seek foreign intervention for ceasefire.

  • Ayesha Omar started working at THIS young age

Ayesha Omar started working at THIS young age

Imagine being just eight-years-old and stepping into the world of television. That was actress Ayesha Omar’s reality, long before she became the household name we know today.

Appearing in a recent podcast, the Taxali Gate actress revealed that, at age eight, she began co-hosting on Pakistan Television (PTV).

The Bulbulay star shared that she co- hosted a show alongside the popular TV host, Muneeza Hashmi, who was also the managing director (MD) of PTV at the time. Muneeza had started a program featuring interviews with famous personalities, and Ayesha was included as a co- host.

Ayesha recalled, “I started my hosting career with Muneeza Hashmi, who was the MD of PTV back then, and we did a show where celebrities shared their childhood stories.”

Ayesha Omar also recalled interviewing well-known figures, such as Javed Miandad and Adnan Sami Khan, and how the program often featured light-hearted discussions about childhood memories from the celebrities’ lives.

The Dolly Ki Ayegi Baraat actress mentioned that the questions she asked in the show were genuine and childlike, often reflecting her own curiosity.

Ayesha Omar said, “The questions I asked were real questions I wanted to know as a child.”

Earlier, actress and singer Ayesha Omar was a guest on UrduFlix’s “The Shoaib Akhtar Show” where she offered advice to young women who wanted to form a career in the entertainment industry.

Omar stressed that the most essential tip for women to remember is that if they’ve shifted to a new city, it is safer to live in an apartment building rather than a house:

“I was just giving this advice to a girl who had shifted to Karachi and was an actor. She was terrified because someone had smashed the windows of her car outside her house. I told her it’s essential that if she’s living alone, she lives in an apartment rather than a house. This is for all women who are divorced, or moving out of their parents homes and want to live independently, it’s the safest thing for them to live in apartment buildings. Given the realities of this country, we have to adjust to it. You can’t change them. You have to be careful, you can’t fight everything.”

The second tip Omar revealed was to learn to be independent, and stop relying on other people to complete your tasks:

“Take care of your health and your expenses on your own. You cannot expect that you’ll find help out there. It’s your body and your life so take care of it. I take care of my own food, clothes and makeup wherever I go, and there is a lot of joy in doing so. You’re less stressed out as well… I’ve learned that if there are 20 people whom you keep requesting to do your work, those 20 people won’t do it. So you must conserve your energy and do things on your own.”

Sanam Jung was also a guest alongside Omar, and she also told aspiring actors to remember not to reveal your personal struggles to people in the industry.

“Never share your home issues or financial problems with anyone in the industry, because they take advantage and they will take you for granted. They will know how desperate you are for work, so they’ll call you at inappropriate hours,” she said.

Juggun Kazim opens up about her abusive first marriage

The bubbly and happy-go-lucky Juggun Kazim may look perfect on TV, but she has faced some very tough times. She shared details of physical abuse during her first marriage, revealing how she was mistreated and why she kept it hidden for years. Juggun Kazim said during a recent appears on FHM podcast, “I was physically abused and tortured during my first marriage, which lasted for 1.5 years. I got married within a week of falling for my first husband, who raised his hands on me in the third week of our marriage.”

Reflecting on her past, she added, “I ignored the warning signs, and that was a mistake. Abuse often starts with hurtful words. I should have taken action when he first hit me, but I was too blinded by his charm. I made a mistake by marrying him in secret, attracted by his good looks. When Noor Makhdoom’s story went public, my family discussed it, but I stayed silent, not wanting to draw attention to myself.”

Kazim also said, “However, I was going through a similar nightmare. I thought I’d suffer the same fate as Noor Makhdoom. While I was seven months pregnant, he abused me and threw me out of the house. I’m grateful to the neighbors who helped me. Now, Hamza is now grown up, and Faisal has been a wonderful father to him. I’m thankful to Allah for His kindness.”

A few months ago, Juggan Kazim was awarded the Presidential Civil Award ‘Tamgha-e-Imtiaz’ by the Government of Pakistan for her contributions to the media industry at the Presidential Awards ceremony on March 23, 2024. Juggun Kazim married Ahmed Tajik in 2004, but the marriage ended in divorce in 2005. She later married Faisal Naqvi in 2013.

Moin Akhtar left his wedding to attend THIS actor’s marriage

You all know that the late great comedian and artist Moin Akhtar was one of the brightest shining stars in Pakistan, but did you know that he was also a very good friend?
The actor wrote an incident in his memoir that cemented his status as the bestest friend to ever have.

Moin left his wedding ceremony to attend that of his close friend Talat Hussain, who passed away yesterday.

“I left my own wedding to attend Talat Hussain’s wedding without an invitation,” the comedian wrote in his memoir.

The year was 1972. A young Moin was getting married on the same day as his friend and comrade Talat Hussain. “My wedding was on the same day that Talat Hussain wed Rakhshi. Although Talat couldn’t make it to my wedding, I didn’t need an invitation to attend his; our friendship had long surpassed the need for formalities, and I went directly from my own wedding celebrations to join in his special day.”

Moin Akhtar also revealed that among their group of friends was a palmist who knew about astrology. Once the palmist said to Talat Hussain, “You should change your name, this name doesn’t suit you much.” And then he changed his name to ‘Farooq Jalal’, under which Talat Hussain worked in a film. The film was successful, but perhaps Talat Hussain liked his own name better.

  • ‘I refused anti-state roles’; Sajid Hasan on Bollywood offers

‘I refused anti-state roles’; Sajid Hasan on Bollywood offers

Veteran actor Sajid Hasan was invited as a guest on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast ‘Excuse Me’.

During the recording, Sajid discussed his relationship with Sahira and Rahat Kazmi on the ground-breaking series ‘Dhoop Kinare’, which was a major turning point in his career.

He also discussed declining parts that would have encouraged an anti-Indian attitude.
Speaking about the reasons behind his dislike of actors portraying anti-state roles, he said, “I’m disappointed with Tiger 3, which I’m currently watching, as it contains harmful stereotypes and biased content against Pakistan. I strongly dislike this approach and believe it’s unfair to actors. Even when I was new to the industry and faced pressure to play such roles, I’ve always rejected them. I believe our relationships with people from other countries should be respectful and positive, even if we disagree with their views. Moreover, I urge Pakistanis to appreciate the freedom we have, which was fought for by Quaid E Azam, and recognize the value of living without oppression, as I personally experienced suffocation during my time in India.”
