Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik and Indian tennis star Sania Mirza have been in the news due to rumours about their troubled marriage. Speculations about their alleged divorce have been in the news for quite some time now. Neither Sania nor Shoaib have addressed them or released a statement clarifying their stance.
Recently when Sania was talking to the media at an event, a journalist asked her how she manages her child as well as her career, she gave a befitting reply.
“Jaise wo (Shoaib Malik) manage karte hain, waise main manage karti hun. Aap agar Shoaib Malik ko wo sawaal puchenge, to main bhi aapka jawaab de dungi [I manage the way Shoaib manages, i will answer you when you will ask the same question from Shoaib].”
Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik tied the knot on 12th April, 2010, followed by a valima ceremony in Sialkot. The couple welcomed their son Izhaan in 2018.
Sania Mirza’s sister Anam shared a reel of her trip to Dubai on her Instagram account, where Sania and Shoaib Malik’s son, Izhaan, was spotted posing for a picture with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
His brief appearance in the video caught the attention of many fans, including Indian film director Farah Khan, who applauded Anam on her weight loss.
According to India Today, Khan was currently in Dubai for the promotion of his upcoming film ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’. The actor has returned to Mumbai with high security after local police received an anonymous call on April 10, threatening to murder Khan at the end of the month.
Sports star and television host Sania Mirza shared a video clip of her trip to the holy city of Mecca to perform Umrah. In the caption, Mirza had written that she was thankful for the experience:
“It has been the most amazing and fulfilling time here .. may Allah call us back again and again .. In sha Allah .. Allhamdulillah for everything .. ya Rabb tera shukar hai “
Ayesha Omar made headlines in both Pakistan and India when her sensual photoshoot with the former Pakistani cricket player Shoaib Malik went viral on social media. Rumors began swirling about estrangement between Malik and his wife, former Indian tennis player Sania Mirza, with speculations of a divorce in the works. Omar and Malik became the target of gossip, with stories of the two having an affair which led to the cricketer’s marriage falling apart.
Now on a talk show with Shoaib Akhtar, Omar made it clear that she isn’t interested in married men.
“I will never be attracted to a married or committed man ever. Everyone knows me… that goes without saying,” she said.
When Akhtar asked her about the controversial photoshoot, Omar responded that the rumors of their affair started in India and then arrived in Pakistan.
Previously in 2021, an instagram user had taunted Omar by asking her when she will be getting married to Malik, and she shut down the rumor directly:
“Absolutely now. He is married and is very happy with his wife. I respect Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza a lot. Shoaib is a good friend of mine and also a professional colleague. He respects me a lot as well. There are also relationships like these which don’t revolve around marriages,” wrote the Bulbulay actor.
Celebrity athletes Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza carved their own unique cross-border love story when they announced their marriage 12 years back.
The tennis star and veteran cricketer are parents to a son Izhaan Mirza Malik.
However, netizens started to express their concern for the duo’s marriage after Mirza shared some cryptic posts on Instagram.
Sania Mirza has been sharing posts about rough times on her social media:
She also shared a picture with her son Izhaan with a caption that moments with her son help her get through the hardest times:
According to some local publications, Sania was affected by Shoaib’s budding friendship with a female contestant on his show, The Ultimate Muqabla. However, the authenticity of this matter is doubtful.
These posts made social media users furious.
Latest Development:
Shoaib was recently asked to address the alleged divorce in an interview, he slammed the constant media pressure on the topic. Shoaib said, “It is our personal matter. Neither I, nor my wife is answering this question. Leave it alone.” He neither denied the news, nor accepted it.
When questioned about stepping into showbiz, Shoaib said that he will always be open to any prospect saying, “I do not close any door for myself. If a good opportunity comes up, I will not refuse.” He added that he has already hosted a couple of shows.
After excerpts from this interview went viral, Shoaib surprised his fans by updating his Instagram Bio. Malik added, “Husband to a superwoman, @saniamirza”.

However, the all-rounder added that he barely gets much time to dedicate to a showbiz career with his family.
The duo recently announced their chat show for an online platform. This cross-border couple would be hosting The Mirza Malik Show together for Urduflix.
In an interview with Gulf News, the couple shared the show will not be controversial in any way and aims to spread the cross-cultural love they experience in disguise. “It will be a whole lot of love and laughter. I think those two things are very important to us, even as people,” revealed Mizra, explaining the concept. “Everybody that we know, knows that we deal with most things with humour and that is something that helps us a lot.”
Both ace sportspersons, with their demanding careers, deal with a high emotional quotient on a daily basis and the couple shared that their collective coping mechanism is humour and that will be evident in the show as well “The goal is to try to bring that laughter, love and joy, not just to the audience but also to the guests that are going to come on the show,” shared Mirza. “We don’t want to reveal everything. It’s not a comedy show but it is a show where we are going to try to have as much fun as possible and still try to find meaning in it.”
Malik sheepishly shared how Mirza has been coaching him on acting and hosting given her past appearances in many talk shows, including the most-talked-about notorious chat show, Koffee With Karan.
“I have been taking classes from her as she’s good! It’s going to be great fun for me. I’ve done some shows, but it was only on a social media platform and all those shows were with my friends. I had so much fun while doing them (interviews), and a lot of people enjoyed it also. I always wanted to do a show from the studio and that’s what is going to happen,” shared the cricketer.
Shoaib also wished his ladylove on her Birthday with a special post.
The celebrity pair were glimpsed together in a recent behind-the-scenes clip of their upcoming reality show The Mirza Malik Show.
The two can be seen posing with actors Fahad Mustafa, Humayun Saeed, and Adnan Siddiqui. The picture was posted on Instagram by Pakistan’s first Urdu OTT platform Urduflix. Another image was also posted, drawing interest from fans who got a first look at the pair’s forthcoming talk show.
The celebrity couple appeared together on Ahsan Khan’s talk show earlier this year, where the duo displayed their fun camaraderie.

While Shoaib spilled the beans about their first meeting in 2004, he said that a media person introduced the two to each other and Sania showed him a lot of attitude.
However, when they met the next time in 2009, Sania thought him to be very good looking and the duo fell in love after developing an understanding.
Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan recently made a revelation about his former feelings for Tennis star Sania Mirza. The Judwaa 2 star stated that he had a huge crush Sania when he was a crew member on an ad film that featured Mirza.
Varun recalled, “I was working for Mad Productions, Mukul Anand’s team and I was working on an ad that featured Sania Mirza. We had to get 300 shoes. I went to Linking Road and rented 300 shoes. I had this huge crush on Sania Mirza at the time. She asked me for an apple. And I got this apple.”
He re-enacted the trembling he felt as he gave her mother the apple for Sania, and added, “I was giving her like I said Aunty… apple. Her mother thought I was crack or something. So she asked who told you to bring this apple?’ Luckily Sania came and said I want the apple. I got like ₹5000 for it, to get the shoes, and also maybe the apple.”

Shoaib Malik and Shan Masood are not part of Pakistan’s batting squad while fast bowler Naseem Shah has replaced Hasan Ali.
Shoaib Malik is Pakistan’s leading run-scorer in Asia Cup. He has scored 907 runs in 21 matches with an average of 64.78.
Shoaib Malik was part of the T20 World Cup 2021 and scored 101 runs in the tournament with a match-winning knock of 54 on 18 balls against Scotland.
“It’s been 25 years but Pakistan has not found a replacement for Shoaib Malik,” said former Pakistani cricketer Aaqib Javed said in an interview.
Pakistan have dropped Shoaib Malik for the T20I Asia Cup 2022. Malik is the greatest middle-order batsman in T20I history, an under-rated bowler, and a spectacular fielder; guided many young Pakistan cricketers with his invaluable experience. Absolute legend, @realshoaibmalik.
What else Shan Masood needs to do to get selectors’ attention? He has consistently ticked all the boxes to get selected, but selectors consistently doing injustice to him. #InjusticetoShan
Shoaib Malik should have been included in Pak Squad for Asia Cup Pakistan's middle order is incomplete without him we can't rely on Asif Ali and Khushdil Shah we need senior pro like Malik who can play according to the situation and hit biggies when required #AsiaCup2022pic.twitter.com/ty5D75kp9t
Who said Shan Masood will be given a chance in the Netherlands tour??? WRONG! Shan’s form doesn’t mean anything to selectors, especially Mohammad Waseem..!

According to Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association (PVCA), 12 teams will play in the tournament which will commence on September 23, 2023, at six venues in Karachi while the final match will be played on October 8.
Fawad Ijaz Khan, Chairman PVCA told the media: “Pakistan will be joined in the World Cup by old rivals – India, Australia, England, New Zealand, West Indies, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Canada, USA, Zimbabwe, Wales, UAE, and Namibia.”
He added, “It is going to be a major event and we will take all steps to make sure that we host it successfully.”
“We have a number of leading cricketers who would be eligible to compete in the World Cup. We are hoping that top players like Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Akhtar, Younis Khan, Shoaib Malik, and Mohammad Hafeez will play for Pakistan. We are going to field a very strong team and will be the favorites to win the World Cup,” he further said.

Every match will be of 45 overs and local TV channels will broadcast the matches of Pakistan including the semi-finals and finals live.
The Veterans World Cup, aged above 50, was first launched in Australia in 2018. However, its second edition was canceled due to a covid pandemic.
