‘A real man’; Yasir Hussain says changing his son’s diaper is part of the job

Actor Yasir Hussain has proudly admitted that he has changed his son Kabir’s diapers and believes there is no shame in performing such parental duties.

In a recent Interview with Zara Noor Abbas, the Karachi Se Lahore star talked about his duties as a father.

On being asked if he has changed his son’s diapers, he said:  “Yes, I have — and I should. There’s nothing wrong with it,” adding that he has even changed diapers of other children in the past.

Hussain emphasized that, in his view, a real man is one who shoulders the responsibilities of his wife and child. “A real man is someone who carries the weight of his wife and child — that’s what makes a man,” he stated.

He went on to say that he deeply respects fathers who are hands-on in parenting. “Whenever I see a father carrying his child’s bag or taking an active role in their upbringing, I really admire those men,” he added.

Hussain was asked whether his son Kabir knows that his father is famous. With a smile, he shared a humorous anecdote: “He knows he’s famous. Once, Kabir came and said, ‘When I go outside now, everyone will say Kabir has arrived.’ We all looked at each other wondering what was going on.” His nanny, Asha, later explained that when Kabir visits the park, other children recognize him from social media or because their families follow the actor online — and that’s how Kabir got the idea that he’s known wherever he goes.

In a lighthearted moment, when asked if he has spanked Kabir, Hussain laughed and admitted, “Yes, I give him one or two when the family isn’t around.”

Yasir Hussain married fellow actor Iqra Aziz on December 28, 2019, and the couple welcomed their first child, Kabir Hussain, on July 23, 2021.

Internet divided as Yasir Hussain reveals dreaming about late Aamir Liaquat

A recent viral clip of Pakistani actor and director Yasir Hussain discussing a dream he had about the late televangelist Aamir Liaquat Hussain has sparked mixed reactions online.

In the resurfaced interview with actress Ushna Shah, Yasir shared a dream in which he saw Aamir Liaquat living peacefully in the United States (US).

“In the dream, Aamir Liaquat was living in a very beautiful house in the US with his wife and children, and I had gone to stay at his place,” Yasir said.

While the clip was initially shared as a lighthearted or spiritual moment, many social media users didn’t take it well.

The segment has now drawn criticism across various platforms, with netizens urging celebrities to refrain from discussing the deceased in such a manner. A number of users expressed discomfort with the tone of the conversation, particularly how Shah was engaging Yasir about the dream in an overly casual or “interesting” way.

“Stop it both of you, he is not in this world, how pathetic it is to joke around someone who has passed away,” wrote one while another said, “Yar Choor do jan Amir Sahab ki Dua kro bus [Let Aamir Sahib be… make dua for him].”

“Highly unethical. Especially this Ushna Shah. For views, such celebs can stoop too low,” one user commented.

Some viewers went as far as to call the clip “insensitive” and “disrespectful”, emphasising that Aamir Liaquat’s family was still grieving and public figures should be more mindful.

Aamir Liaquat, who passed away on June 9, 2022, in Karachi, was a political and television figure. He was a member of Pakistan’s National Assembly with a career marred by controversies surrounding his wives among other things.

Despite it all, he stood tall with a massive following and record-breaking TV runs.

Yasir Hussain takes a dig at Haris Rauf over viral hand gesture during India clash

The high-voltage cricket match between arch-rivals Pakistan and India has now spiraled into a storm of controversy, not over cricketing performance, but a fiery gesture that has the subcontinent buzzing.

Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf found himself in the eye of a media hurricane after responding to jeering Indian fans during the Asia Cup 2025 Super Fours clash with a set of hand gestures that quickly went viral.

In a moment that has split the internet and ignited debate on both sides of the border, Rauf first flashed “6-0” with his fingers — a reference to the number of Indian planes downed by the Pakistan Air Force in May’s military clashes. He then followed it up with a theatrical gesture mimicking a fighter jet soaring and crashing.

The act drew roaring cheers from many Pakistani fans on social media, with even Defence Minister Khawaja Asif chiming in on X to applaud the cricketer.

But not everyone was impressed, least of all actor-director Yasir Hussain, who took to Instagram with a fiery rebuke.

Taking to Instagram stories, he wrote, “Brother, that’s the Pakistan Air Force’s credit, let them have it.” “Your job is to play cricket — which, frankly, you’re not doing well.”

In a previous post, he urged the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to suspend matches for a year and instead focus entirely on retraining and rebuilding the national squad, a statement that stirred the pot even further.

Meanwhile, Indian media has erupted in fury, slamming Rauf’s behavior as “unsportsmanlike” and “provocative”. Some even called for a total boycott of cricketing ties with Pakistan.

On Sunday, Pakistan scored 171 runs while batting first. India began their chase with an aggressive start but stumbled midway, losing four wickets in quick succession. However, steady middle-order batting guided India to a six-wicket win, securing the victory with seven balls to spare.

‘He should get his own head checked’: Laiba Khan claps back hard at Yasir Hussain

Pakistani actress Laiba Khan has publicly clapped back at actor Yasir Hussain after he criticised her over a doctored video that falsely portrayed her as insulting celebrated actress Saba Qamar.

The controversy ignited when Yasir shared a viral edited clip in which Laiba seemingly said Saba was “beautiful, fair and tall, but did not know how to act”.

Reacting to the clip, Yasir took a personal dig at Laiba, writing, “Ye bohat achi larki hai in k Dimaghi ilaaj ka mutalba sarkari sata pe hona chahiye [she is a very decent girl… her mental illness should be addressed at the governmental level].”

However, Laiba quickly set the record straight, calling the video “fake” and slamming Yasir for commenting without verifying facts.

“People like @yasir.hussain131 made judgment about the fake one that went viral a year ago. Like Yasir Hussain, jinka khud dimagh kharab hai [whose own mind is not right], should’ve watched that show before passing judgment about me,” Laiba fired back in an Instagram story.

She also emphasised her admiration for Saba and said, “The whole world already knows @sabaqamarzaman is a brilliant actress; she doesn’t need your validation.”

Sharing the original unedited video, Laiba clarified that her comment was actually about Bollywood actresses.

“I have seen many actresses of Bollywood who do not know how to act, but they are beautiful, fair and tall… yet they have become actresses,” she had said. Furthermore, when asked what profession Saba Qamar would have chosen if not acting, Laiba had answered, “Saba Qamar could have been a lawyer.”

Meanwhile, social media users are happy that Laiba took a stand for her and did not let misinformation ruin her reputation.

Laiba Khan made her television debut with Do Bol and rose to fame with Mera Dil Mera Dushman. She is garnering acclaim for her role in the hit drama Mohabbat Ka Safar, which is currently airing on ARY Digital.

‘Fitay moun’: Celebs slam egg attack on Chahat Fateh in London

A shocking video showing social media personality Chahat Fateh Ali Khan being egged by unidentified individuals in London has sparked outrage across social media and among Pakistani celebrities. The clip, which dates back three months, surfaced online recently, showing two eggs being smashed on Chahat’s head while he was posing with a fan outside a newly opened food outlet.

In the now-viral video, Chahat appears in a cheerful mood, taking pictures with fans, when suddenly two individuals run up to him, smash eggs on his head, and flee the scene. Their faces remain hidden. The people present at the scene, some of whom were recording the interaction, appear shocked by the incident.

While the exact date of the incident is unconfirmed, a London-based journalist claims the video was captured during a photo session at a new food outlet, approximately three months ago.

Several Pakistani celebrities have taken to social media to condemn the disgraceful act, calling it “ghatya harkat” and demanding accountability.

Actor and writer Yasir Hussain posted on his Instagram story, saying: “Main in k songs nahi sunta. Magar yeh kaafi ghatya harkat hai. Is manchalay ko saza milni chahiye” (I don’t listen to his songs, but this is a disgusting act. The person responsible must be punished).

TV host and comedian Ahmed Ali Butt also expressed his frustration, stating: “Just saw the disgusting video of egg thrown on Chahat! There is no decency left in people. Like him or not, he never disrespected anyone. Sadly, we live in a dead society where anything and everything goes for views and likes. Sad!”

Singer Asim Azhar took it a step further by apologising directly to Chahat via his Instagram story: “Nobody deserves this. You are an entertainer, you make people smile, laugh, and you do not deserve this at all.”

He further slammed the perpetrators, saying: “I am sorry that jaahil (illiterate) individuals like these are on the loose and have the audacity to do sh*t like this. Please keep making everyone smile. We don’t have enough people doing it.”

“And for these two ill-mannered, disgusting individuals — fitay moun aap ki parwarish aur aap pe.”

The egging incident has triggered widespread backlash, with social media users demanding the arrest and punishment of the culprits involved in the attack on Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, who is known for his quirky and comedic online persona.

Chahat himself has issued a formal statement for the growing support from fans and fellow celebrities. “I thank all the fans, fellow celebrities and news outlets for showing their support to me covering the incident which happened with me three months ago on June 19.”

While appearing on the comedy show Hasna Mana Hai, Yasir shared his views on parenting and family planning, expressing his deep affection for children. He proudly declared that even having 12 kids wouldn’t bother him one bit.

Yasir opened up about his personal life and career, saying, “We are 12 siblings, and I am the youngest of them all.”

He fondly recalled his childhood: “Despite having so many siblings, my childhood was very peaceful. We had the one bathroom in our house and all of us siblings used it.”

  • Yasir Hussain hits back at Nadia Khan, says she’s ‘10 points ahead of Arnab Goswami’

Yasir Hussain hits back at Nadia Khan, says she’s ‘10 points ahead of Arnab Goswami’

Actor Yasir Hussain has fired back at Nadia Khan after she criticized his new drama Paradise, saying the actress is currently “10 points ahead of Arnab Goswami.”

The clash began when Nadia Khan reviewed Paradise on her show Kya Drama Hai, giving it just 4 out of 10. She criticized the plot, characters, and scenes, calling it a weak production.

The show regularly features senior actresses, including Nadia Khan, who critique ongoing Pakistani dramas.

In response, Yasir Hussain shared his thoughts on Instagram Stories, writing, “Numbers mean nothing. Don’t listen to the critics watch the drama yourself.”

He continued, “I give Nadia Khan 1.5 marks for her entire drama career and 2.5 marks for hosting.”

Then came a sharp jab, “These days, Nadia Khan is 10 points ahead of Arnab Goswami.”

The reference to Arnab Goswami, a controversial Indian TV anchor known for his loud, biased, and often Islamophobic commentary, quickly sparked reactions online. Goswami is infamous for promoting anti-Muslim and anti-Pakistan narratives, particularly during moments of heightened tensions between the two countries.

A screenshot of Yasir’s story went viral, with many social media users supporting his comeback and criticizing Nadia Khan’s review.

In recent weeks, Nadia Khan has come under fire for using harsh language and adopting an overly aggressive tone while commenting on Pakistani celebrities and their admiration for Bollywood. Yasir Hussain’s sarcastic comparison to Goswami appears to be a direct jab at her recent behavior.

He highlighted how some actors have completely lost their natural expressions, a concern echoed by many.
