A man accused of molesting a woman on Sialkot’s Pasrur Road was injured after accidentally shooting himself in private parts during a police chase.
A viral CCTV footage had earlier this week shown the suspect driving past two women on a street, only to turn his bike around and grope one of the women outside their house.
Days after the video started doing the rounds on social media, a new video has surfaced online, showing the suspect confessing to what he did.
He went on to confess to a similar incident six months ago, and revealed that he had accidentally shot himself in his private parts during a consequent police chase. “I seek an apology from my sister [the victim] as well as from CCD [Crime Control Department] and the government. I will not perform any such act in the future,” the suspect said.
It merits a mention that the “accidental” firing of the suspect’s own weapon and injuring his private parts is not the first incident of its kind as several similar cases involving rape or molestation suspects have been reported in recent weeks.
On August 22, a man accused of molesting a 10-year-old girl in Chunian was critically injured after accidentally shooting himself in the private parts during a police raid for his arrest.
Earlier, another suspect who harassed a minor in Kasur’s Shah Inayat Colony, accidentally “shot himself” while trying to evade arrest.
