Asad Ali Memon achieves very rare milestone

Pakistani mountaineer Asad Ali Memon has made history by completing the prestigious Seven Summits Challenge after successfully scaling Puncak Jaya, the highest peak in Oceania.

The Seven Summits Challenge includes climbing the tallest mountains on each of the seven continents. With his latest ascent of Puncak Jaya in Indonesia, Asad has completed all seven, becoming only the third Pakistani to achieve this feat after Samina Baig and Mirza Ali Baig.

The 27-year-old began his mountaineering journey in 2019 with Mount Elbrus in Europe and has since conquered Mount Kilimanjaro, Aconcagua, Denali, Mount Everest, and Mount Vinson before his final climb in Indonesia.
