‘No one can stop me’; You won’t believe what Naseeruddin Shah said about Sardaar Ji 3

Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah is known for never mincing his words and saying what he believes in without caring about anyone’s opinion.

The thespian has come out in strong support of Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh, who is facing backlash in an increasingly extremist India for sharing the screen with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in the latest film Sardaar Ji 3.

In a recent Facebook post, Naseeruddin urged people to understand that Diljit was not responsible for the film’s casting and praised him for not letting politics cloud his choices. He also criticised those who try to create hate between India and Pakistan.

“I STAND FIRMLY WITH DILJIT. The dirty tricks deptt of Jumla Party has been awaiting a chance to attack him. They think they’ve got it at last. He was not responsible for the casting of the film; the director was. But no one knows who he is, whereas Diljit is known the world over, and he agreed to the cast because his mind is not poisoned,” Shah wrote.

He then did what few other brave people in India can do, address the ban on Pakistani artists. “What these goons want is to put an end to personal interaction between the people of India and Pakistan. I have close relatives and some dear friends there, and no one can stop me from meeting them or sending them love whenever I feel like it.”

He concluded by saying, “And my response to those who will say ‘Go to Pakistan’ is ‘GO TO KAILASA’”.

Meanwhile, Sardaar Ji 3 is enjoying huge box office success. The Indian Punjabi film has outperformed major releases in Pakistan and is setting new records at cinemas across the country, including Lahore, where it is showing on over 30 screens.

Produced by Gambhir Singh Sidhu, Manmord Sidhu and Diljit Dosanjh, the film was released on June 27. Despite opposition in India, Sardaar Ji 3 made history in Pakistan by becoming the highest first-day earner for any Indian film released here. The movie collected an impressive PKR 3.5 crore on its opening day, breaking the previous record held by Salman Khan’s 2016 hit Sultan.

Globally, the film’s earnings have crossed PKR 36.6 crores.

Filled with comedy, fantasy and horror, Sardaar Ji 3 shows Diljit Dosanjh as a ghost hunter chasing spirits inside a haunted mansion in the UK. The film’s cast includes Hania Aamir, Neeru Bajwa, Gulshan Grover, Jasmin Bajwa, and Pakistani actors Nasir Chinyoti, Saleem Albela and Daniyal Khawar.

With packed cinemas and positive reviews, the film’s winning run is expected to continue in the coming days.

  • Investigation reveals possible reason behind sudden death of Shefali Jariwala

Investigation reveals possible reason behind sudden death of Shefali Jariwala

Police investigations have revealed the possible cause of death of Indian actress Shefali Jariwala.

Popularly known as the ‘Kaanta Laga girl,’ Shefali passed away suddenly last week at the age of 42.

According to Indian media, Shefali was taken to a hospital from her Mumbai residence on June 27, where doctors declared her dead on arrival. Hospital staff confirmed that she had already passed away before reaching the hospital. While initial reports suggested a heart attack as the cause of death, officials are still investigating the exact reason.

Shefali’s long-time personal doctor told Indian media that she had not faced any serious health conditions in recent years. Instead, she had been getting anti-ageing treatments for nearly five to six years.

“Shefali never had any heart-related issue and she never took any medicine for heart treatment. She was taking treatments and medicines to stay fit and look younger,” her doctor revealed.

Police investigations so far suggest that Shefali regularly took anti-ageing injections on an empty stomach. On the day she died, Shefali reportedly injected herself around noon, which caused her to feel chills and lose consciousness.

She was rushed to the hospital but could not survive. Police have now seized all the medicines found at her house as they look deeper into what exactly caused her sudden death.

VIDEO: Here’s what happened when British vlogger wore Indian jersey on streets of Lahore

British content creator Alex Wanders has shown the world that Pakistanis do not believe in hate after wearing an Indian cricket team shirt through the back streets of Lahore.

In his video, Alex asks his viewers, “What will happen if I wear an Indian cricket shirt walking through the back streets of Lahore in Pakistan?” Wearing the blue Indian jersey, he strolls through busy local areas, greeting people with a smile and an easy “How are you?”

Far from getting any trouble, he is welcomed with laughter, kindness and harmless jokes. “Getting some strange looks right now,” Alex says at one point, but continues his walk without fear.

A little boy playfully made “poop sounds” at him, which only made Alex laugh more.

In the video, he even sits down at a roadside barber’s shop and asks, “Do you do fire haircut?” The barber politely tells him no, wishes him well, to which Alex replies, “Thank you. Have a nice day.”

At the end of his experiment, Alex says what millions of Pakistanis already know. “Okay, it turns out if you wear an Indian shirt in Pakistan, nothing happens because the people here are so friendly. Follow for part two when I wear a Pakistan shirt in India.”

His video has gone viral and the reactions say it all. Pakistani rapper Talha Anjum commented, “I’m waiting for you to wear @babarazam jersey in India.. be safe man! ✌ ”

Other users added their own thoughts.

One wrote, “Pakistan is not made up of hate, simple, our kids didn’t learn it.” Another said, “Try in India with Pakistan jersey, you’ll regret it.”

Many warned Alex that wearing a Pakistani shirt in India might not go so smoothly. “If you do the opposite, you might end up getting beaten up. Just be careful,” said another user.

Alex’s walk through the streets of Lahore shows that while cricket rivalries may be fierce, ordinary Pakistanis know how to welcome people with warmth, even when they wear opponents’ kit.

  • Drop scene: Rajab Butt claim of firing incident outside Lahore home is fake?

Drop scene: Rajab Butt claim of firing incident outside Lahore home is fake?

Lahore police have declared YouTuber Rajab Butt’s claims about a firing incident outside his home to be false.

According to media reports, police officials have said no evidence has been found of any person opening fire at Rajab’s house. However, the police did admit that the housing society he lived in had received complaints about stray dogs and one dog had been shot and killed.

Police have reiterated that there is no evidence that proves that shots were fired outside Rajab Butt’s house. He did not provide CCTV footage from his own cameras, and neighbours also did not confirm hearing shots or seeing a shooter. Police added that the vehicle Rajab mentioned in the FIR was not present at the scene.

Reports said the local housing society’s management had requested action against stray dogs. The administration shot a dog, which Rajab Butt then presented to the public as if it had been killed during a gun fire attack on his home.

Rajab Butt had claimed on Friday that four unidentified men in a white Suzuki Cultus with Karachi number plates came to his house and fired two shots with a silencer. He said one bullet killed his pet dog sitting at the doorstep.

“I can’t take this lightly,” Rajab said in a video interview at the time. “I know I have a massive following, and anyone could be carrying a weapon. No one has ever threatened me directly, but this kind of act cannot be ignored.”

Rajab said he was not home when the incident happened. His mother, sister and a security guard were present. He claimed his mother called him, and he immediately informed Chung Police Station, which arrived at the scene within minutes and collected evidence, including CCTV footage.

A case had been registered against unknown suspects, but the investigation has now revealed no firing took place. No arrests were made.

Recently, Rajab Butt was also in the news for a viral video of a street fight on Thokar Niaz Baig Road. Social media users claimed he was seen fighting with other content creators Shazi, Musa, and Haider. However, he later reached a settlement with the other party, and the matter was resolved peacefully. He was granted bail in that case too.

Police have now closed the firing investigation, calling the YouTuber’s claim baseless.

The YouTuber has repeatedly run into legal troubles, including getting arrested for keeping an unlicensed lion cub at his home and, more seriously, getting embroiled in a blasphemy scandal after naming his perfume ‘295’, the clause of the penal code that deals with blasphemy cases.

  • Lahore education authority cancels enrolment of 45,000 fake students

Lahore education authority cancels enrolment of 45,000 fake students

The District Education Authority Lahore has removed around 45,000 fake student enrolments discovered in schools across the city.

According to a report, these fraudulent entries were artificially boosting the official student numbers, revealing large-scale manipulation of enrolment data.

After a thorough audit, the fake records were reportedly deleted, bringing the total number of verified students down to 575,000.

This discovery has raised questions about the Education Authority’s performance and its ability to meet enrolment targets. Schools where fake enrolments were found have been issued notices and asked to explain the discrepancies.

The Education Authority is now expected to bridge the gap and reach its goal of 637,000 enrolled students by October 31.

Despite these setbacks, officials claim they are making steady progress. With support from school administrators, current enrollment has climbed back to 616,000.

However, at least 21,000 more enrolments are required to hit the target. Authorities believe they will successfully achieve this before the October deadline.

  • Pak, China eye new regional bloc replacing SAARC

Pak, China eye new regional bloc replacing SAARC

Pakistan and China are reportedly working on a proposal to establish a new regional organisation that could potentially replace the now-inactive South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), which was once dubbed the European Union (EU) of South Asia.

Citing diplomatic sources familiar with the development, a leading English daily reports that talks between Islamabad and Beijing have reached an advanced stage, with both sides agreeing that a new organisation is urgently needed for regional integration and connectivity.

SAARC was established in 1985 with member countries including Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, the Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka, with Afghanistan joining later.

The recent trilateral meeting, held in Kunming on June 19, was attended by senior diplomats from Pakistan, China and Bangladesh.

According to the news report, the aim is to invite other South Asian countries, members of SAARC, to join the new regional grouping.

India is reportedly expected to decline the invitation, citing its divergent interests.

However, countries including Sri Lanka, the Maldives and Afghanistan are expected to join the proposed alliance.

If the proposal materialises, SAARC’s role would become more irrelevant. The organisation failed to achieve its objectives under adversarial ties between Pakistan and India.

Since India’s boycott of SAARC’s meeting in Pakistan in 2016, no serious efforts have been made to revive the organisation, despite Pakistan’s keenness to host the summit.

SAARC was dealt another blow recently when India withdrew from offering special visas under the organisation to Pakistani businessmen following the April 22 Pahalgam attack in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to the report, Pakistan and China have been discussing the proposal of a new organisation for months, concluding that like-minded countries in the region should join hands for a better future.

  • TikTok siblings arrested for Rs130m armed robbery in Karachi

TikTok siblings arrested for Rs130m armed robbery in Karachi

Three individuals have been taken into custody for allegedly participating in a high-profile armed robbery that resulted in the theft of over Rs130 million in cash and valuables from a home in Karachi’s PECHS Block 2.

The suspects, two sisters and a brother, are known TikTok personalities.

According to police, the trio posed as Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials to carry out the heist, which occurred in the early hours of June 26.

Muhammad Saalik was ambushed outside his residence on Khalid Bin Waleed Road at around 3:30 AM while parking his car, said Ferozabad SHO Inam Junejo.

Two armed men and three burqa-clad women emerged from a black vehicle, held Saalik at gunpoint, and forced him inside the house.

Police stated that one of the suspects wore an FIA-style uniform with the agency’s logo to appear legitimate.

The robbers made off with over Rs130 million in cash, nine smartphones (including iPhones and Google Pixels), twenty luxury watches, a smartwatch, twenty-five branded perfumes, two laptops, and other valuables.

Three suspects, Yousra, Nimra, and their brother Shehryar, were identified and apprehended using CCTV footage and modern technology. A fourth suspect, Shahroz, remains at large.

Investigative sources revealed that Yousra Zeb is a popular TikTok personality who has modelled for several Pakistani brands. Her social media features photos with both local and international celebrities.

Police are also investigating Yousra’s possible involvement in other robberies linked to the same gang. According to the Jamshed Division SP, the suspects deceived the victim by wearing fake FIA uniforms during the crime.

According to a police official, “The suspects were identified through their social media presence and TikTok videos,” adding that, “Efforts are underway to recover the stolen money and valuables, and raids are being conducted to arrest the remaining accomplices.”

  • Indian defence official confirms Pakistan downed jets

Indian defence official confirms Pakistan downed jets

An Indian defence official has openly acknowledged that the Indian Air Force lost multiple aircraft during the 86-hour confrontation with Pakistan in May, a rare admission amid ongoing speculation over the extent of the damage.

During a seminar at Universitas Dirgantara Marsekal Suryadarma in Indonesia, Indian Defence Attaché Captain Shiv Kumar stated that India “did lose some aircraft” during an operation on the night of May 7. The remarks were made in a session titled Analysis of the Pakistan–India Air Battle and Indonesia’s Anticipatory Strategies from the Perspective of Air Power.

Kumar attributed these losses to directives from Indian political leadership, which allegedly restricted the air force from engaging with Pakistani military targets. He mentioned that pilots were instructed to refrain from any actions that could lead to an escalation.

His statements follow a separate acknowledgement by India’s Chief of Defence Staff, General Anil Chauhan, who has also admitted that Indian aircraft were down during the May conflict. Speaking to Bloomberg Television during the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore, Chauhan chose not to specify the number of jets targeted. He emphasised that the underlying reasons for the losses matter more than the actual count. “What is important is not the jet being down, but why they were being down,” he stated.

These comments follow weeks of silence from Indian defence officials regarding the events of early May, when Pakistan claimed to have downed six Indian aircraft, including Rafale jets. Initially, Indian officials dismissed this claim.

However, on May 30, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy asserted that five Indian fighter jets had indeed been shot down, supporting Pakistan’s earlier assertion. Indian military sources, on the other hand, have continued to refrain from confirming any specific details.

This admission, in both diplomatic and military capacities, adds a new aspect to the narrative surrounding the brief yet intense exchange between the two nations, whose air forces remain vigilant amid ongoing tensions.

Two female TikTokers allegedly ordered an armed attack at their former friend’s house in Lahore’s Heir area after she ended their friendship. Police have registered a case and begun an investigation.

TikTokers Suzzain and Nimra threatened their friend Ujala after a dispute and later had their accomplice Ahmed open fire at her house on their instructions. The FIR was lodged by Ujala’s brother.
