Rajab Butt under fire for ‘tattooing’ mother’s face on arm

Popular YouTuber Rajab Butt is once again making headlines — this time for getting a tattoo of his mother’s face on his arm as a “symbol of love”, which netizens said was an “un-Islamic practice”.

Rajab, who is currently living in Dubai, said this was his second tattoo and according to some religious scholars, it was not prohibited.

“If anyone thinks it’s not Islamic, they shouldn’t follow me,” he added.

His statement, however, didn’t sit well with many people on social media. Users criticised him strongly, saying that tattoos were clearly forbidden in Islam, and promoting it as love for his mother was “misleading”.

They said while love for one’s mother was a beautiful emotion, expressing it in a way that “goes against religious values” is not appropriate and can confuse others.

Meanwhile, in a subsequent vlog, Rajab also revealed the tattoo.

It merits a mention that the YouTuber has lately been in the spotlight for his lavish wedding, viral videos, legal controversies, and the launch of his perfume brand ‘295’.

Social media users have now advised him to stay away from controversial comments and take a break from the internet for a while.

  • Shah Rukh Khan, Sharif family’s wealthy London neighbour faces criminal probe

Shah Rukh Khan, Sharif family’s wealthy London neighbour faces criminal probe

A serious criminal investigation has been launched in London against a billionaire landlord who owns Fountain House — a luxury apartment block located near the residences of Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan and Pakistan’s Sharif family.

Tarique Ghaffur , a former top official at Scotland Yard, has reportedly confirmed that he is privately investigating Asif Aziz, who owns Fountain House through his company, Parkgate Aspen. This exclusive property is situated on Park Lane, close to the Dorchester Hotel, and contains around 80 high-end apartments.

Ghaffur stated, “We are collecting evidence for a criminal case related to Asif Aziz and his management company. The investigation began after several complaints from residents and based on the serious concerns raised, a criminal probe is now underway.”

Residents of Fountain House, many of whom are wealthy millionaires, have accused Aziz’s company of charging unfair service fees and failing to provide proper services. Some have already taken the matter to civil court.

Asif Aziz, who refers to himself as “Mr Mayfair” and “Mr West End,” is known for owning hundreds of luxury properties across London. He also runs a charity called the Aziz Foundation. However, his real estate practices have sparked controversy in the past.

He has been criticized by Private Eye for using offshore companies in the Isle of Man to secretly purchase properties in London and for converting community spaces, such as pubs, into upscale apartments.

In 2017, he told a court that his wife of 14 years was not legally married to him in an attempt to avoid sharing his £1.1 billion fortune. The couple later reached a settlement.

In 2020, The Times dubbed him “the meanest landlord in Britain” after his poor treatment of tenants during the pandemic.

In 2022, Novara Media criticized him again for buying nurseries and bars and converting them into luxury housing. Aziz later issued legal threats to the media outlet, calling the article defamatory.

In late 2024, his company Criterion Capital made headlines again when the iconic Prince Charles Cinema claimed that Aziz’s team was pressuring them to pay higher rent and had inserted an unfair break clause into their lease. More than 115,000 people signed a petition in support of the cinema.

This year, in 2025, further reports have emerged accusing Aziz’s housing brand “Dstrkt” of poor maintenance and vermin infestations, despite rising rents. He also allegedly paid £150,000 to settle charges related to running an unlicensed Forrest Gump-themed shrimp restaurant in Piccadilly Circus.

The report by Murtaza Ali Shah (The News / Geo) also notes that Golfrate Holdings (Angola) Lda, a company linked to Aziz, is under U.S. sanctions and listed as a “specially designated national” (SDN) by the U.S. government.

PSL10: Alex Carey unavailable for Islamabad United

Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Alex Carey will not be available for Islamabad United in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10.

Islamabad United had initially selected Carey as a partial replacement for South African batter Rassie van der Dussen. However, according to team management, van der Dussen is expected to join the squad soon.

Islamabad United will now have to adjust its plans as it aims for another successful PSL campaign without Carey’s presence on the squad.

‘I’m from Pakistan’ — Onijah Robinson is still full of love for the country

Onijah Robinson, whose unexpected rise to fame in Pakistan led to a global deluge of TikTok videos, recently opened up about viral moments in a candid conversation with BBC Asian Network’s Haroon Rashid.

In the interview, Haroon revisited some of Onijah’s most talked-about clips that had taken over Pakistani social media. One of the standout moments included her now-infamous statement: “I’m not talking unless y’all giving me land and 2,000 or more every week.”

Reacting to the clip, Onijah laughed and explained, “I want to do real estate. I want to build these houses up correctly. I had to leave the country at the time, but I’ll be back—and when I’m back, it’ll be greatness. I wanted it to look like New York… no, I’m kidding.”

Another viral line was her bold declaration, “I’m from Pakistan. Respect to the law, respect to Allah, and respect to God.”

Onijah laughed again while reflecting on that moment, then shared a heartfelt message,“I got everybody to listen to what I really wanted to say for years. Stop putting yourself in situations where you feel like there’s no one there for you. We have God. This isn’t for show—this is really how I feel.”

Haroon also replayed the clip where she said. “It’s private, I’m Muslim, and it’s against my religion to tell you my business.”

Onijah doubled down on her stance, “Yes, it’s against my religion to tell you my business. They knew that. Pakistani people—I love them. They like to play a lot. That’s why they were like, ‘Okay.’”

When asked if reporters were taking advantage of her at the time, Onijah dismissed the idea with a smile, “No, they weren’t. They were just annoying. They love too much! When people love too much, they like to bother you, like they want to do things for you.”

Onijah had travelled to Karachi in October 2024 to marry Ahmed, a man she had been met online. But after his family allegedly rejected her, and her 30-day visa expired, she stayed in the country and became a viral sensation.

Whether you find her chaotic or charismatic, Onijah Robinson continues to spark conversations—sometimes funny, sometimes deep—but always unforgettable.

  • Intelligence agency thwarts major terror attack on PAF base: Report

Intelligence agency thwarts major terror attack on PAF base: Report

One of the country’s premium intelligence agencies has thwarted a major terror plan masterminded by a commander of the Afghanistan-based terror group Fitna al-Khawarij, aimed at carrying out a deadly assault on the strategically important Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Masroor Airbase in Karachi, The News reported today (Friday).

As per the report, the plan was led by a high-profile FAK commander who is already wanted in multiple terrorism cases. The plot involved nine highly trained terrorists, including five Afghan nationals.

The terrorists, who had recently infiltrated Pakistan from Afghanistan, planned to infiltrate the airbase through a pre-selected entry point, take control of the facility, destroy aircraft and infrastructure, and hold the base for as long as possible. They aimed to cause maximum damage and engage in a prolonged gun battle until death, the report claims.

The operation was reportedly under the direct supervision of FAK’s top leadership based in Afghanistan and involved nearly thirteen months of planning. The terrorists had taken up accommodation near the airbase and carried out extensive surveillance of the area to prepare for the attack.

The report further claimed that the agency launched a swift, covert, and coordinated operation the moment the assaulters were about to begin the final phase of their plot, arresting the suspects from various locations nationwide, as the intelligence agency had been closely monitoring their movements.

The agency crippled a key FAK terror network involved in several previous attacks, including the November 2024 assault on Chinese engineers at Liberty Textile Mills in Karachi’s SITE area. The same FAK commander captured in the current operation is believed to have masterminded that attack before fleeing to Afghanistan.

Authorities describe him as an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) expert, trained in Afghanistan and a former militant alongside the Afghan Taliban during their conflict with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) forces.

Preliminary investigations suggest the involvement of hostile intelligence agencies, allegedly providing funding and equipping terrorist elements in a bid to destabilize Pakistan. Officials also referenced a similar terror plot foiled last October in which FAK and the hostile agencies had conspired to sabotage a major international event in Islamabad.

Despite such threats, Pakistan’s armed forces, intelligence services, and law enforcement agencies remain steadfast in their mission to protect the nation. Officials reaffirmed their commitment to rooting out terrorism in all its forms and safeguarding national security through coordinated, relentless vigilance.

  • Internet slams Ducky Bhai for sleeping in self-driving car on Motorway

Internet slams Ducky Bhai for sleeping in self-driving car on Motorway

Popular YouTuber Saad Rehman, better known as Ducky Bhai, has landed in trouble once again after a video of him sleeping while driving went viral on social media.

Ducky Bhai, who enjoys a massive following of nearly eight million subscribers on YouTube, is known for his family vlogs and humorous content. His fans also admire his close-knit family, including his parents, siblings, and wife Aroob Jatoi. However, the internet personality is no stranger to controversy—and this time, the YouTuber is being slammed for what social media thinks is a very dangerous thing.

A clip circulating online shows Ducky sleeping in his car during a motorway journey. The vehicle appears to be an electric car with self-driving features, and while Ducky rests, another person in the passenger seat films him.

The video sparked immediate backlash, with many viewers slamming the act as dangerous and irresponsible—especially from a public figure with such a large youth following.

One user wrote, “That is why education is important, another controversial clip from an uneducated content creator.”

Another demanded strict action, commenting, “He should be arrested immediately.” Many others tagged traffic authorities, urging them to cancel his driving license.

Some users were even more critical, with one writing, “They have just ruined this generation. May Allah guide them.”

Another added, “He needs to be taught a lesson by the authorities.”

Despite the car’s autopilot mode, fans believe Ducky Bhai’s decision to sleep behind the wheel sets a dangerous example. The clip continues to make rounds online, reigniting the debate around responsible use of technology and influencer accountability.

  • Sarfaraz Ahmed hints at possible return to PSL

Sarfaraz Ahmed hints at possible return to PSL

Quetta Gladiators’ Director and former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has hinted at the possibility of making a comeback in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) if given the opportunity.

In an exclusive interview with a cricket website, Sarfaraz reflected on Quetta Gladiators’ previous season, stating that while the team performed well and qualified for the playoffs, they were unable to progress further. However, he believes that this season’s squad is stronger and has more firepower.

“Last year, our performance was good as we managed to qualify for the playoffs, but unfortunately, we couldn’t advance further. This season, the team is more balanced and has additional firepower,” he said.

He praised the recent performances of Finn Allen and Hassan Nawaz and highlighted the presence of Mark Chapman, Sean Abbott, and Faheem Ashraf in the squad.

“If you look at Chapman’s performance in New Zealand over the last two to three years, it has been excellent. He is also familiar with Pakistani conditions as he has toured here for the past three years,” Sarfaraz noted.

Speaking about his love for cricket, Sarfaraz admitted that it is difficult for someone who has played all his life to stay away from the game.

“Cricket is a passion that never fades. Someone who has played the sport for so long finds it challenging to stay away. Although I am currently serving as the team director for Quetta Gladiators, my heart still beats for cricket. If given the opportunity, I could be seen in PSL action once again,” he said.

Sarfaraz clarified that he has not yet retired from cricket and still aims to play for Pakistan.

“I haven’t announced my retirement yet. When a player is away from the game, it naturally feels disappointing. However, every cricketer has to step away at some point. Until that moment arrives, I want to play as much cricket as possible and perform at my best. When I feel the right time has come, I will announce my decision,” he added.

Regarding the criticism over receiving a high salary as a mentor from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Sarfaraz responded that judgments should be based on work and performance rather than personal opinions.

“I have always maintained that criticism should be directed at performance. People should evaluate a person based on their work rather than unnecessary speculation. Unfortunately, we tend to focus on the wrong aspects,” he concluded.

The former captain led Pakistan to two International Cricket Council (ICC) trophies during his career.

He is most famous for captaining Pakistan to win the Champions Trophy, but one of his victories often goes unnoticed: leading Pakistan’s junior team to the ICC Under-19 World Cup in 2006, where they lifted the trophy. The opponent in that crucial match was India.

Pakistan won the ICC Champions Trophy for the second time under his leadership in 2017, claiming the title for the first time.

  • ‘If Warner hits us hard…’: Ali Tareen on Karachi clash

‘If Warner hits us hard…’: Ali Tareen on Karachi clash

As the highly anticipated PSL 10 kicks off today, Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen has expressed concerns over the scheduling decisions made by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

While discussing his team’s first match against Karachi Kings, Tareen acknowledged the potential impact of David Warner, stating: “If Warner plays and his travel is smooth, nothing will happen to us. But if Warner hits us hard, we are going to get cursed a lot online.”

The Sultans’ owner also voiced his frustration over the PCB’s decision to shift their opening home game to Karachi despite the tradition of starting the season in Multan.

“This time, they shifted our first home match to Karachi, even though it always starts in Multan. There, we engage with our sponsors, our team, and the people. And you see, Multan’s stadium is always full, so our fans are very engaged,” he said.

Tareen further pointed out that his team was denied the opportunity to conduct pre-season activities in Multan.

“We wanted to conduct our practice matches and activities there before shifting. But the PCB did not allow us that either,” he added.

“They told us that until PSL’s official security starts, we cannot bring in our overseas players and coaches. If you don’t allow us to bring people in, then you ask why we are not engaging,” Tareen said.

Despite the scheduling setbacks, Tareen remains optimistic about the tournament and is eager to see how his team performs.

“Karachi’s first match is against us, and it’s going to be a spicy fixture. So, I am looking forward to it, InshaAllah.”

While controversies continue to brew off the field, all eyes will be on David Warner and the Karachi Kings as they take on Multan Sultans in what promises to be an electrifying PSL 10 opener.
