‘Bizarre’; Shamoon Abbasi questions Saif Ali Khan’s recovery

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan’s speedy recovery after last week’s shocking stabbing incident has left many surprised, with some people showing skepticism about how quickly he healed. Actor Shamoon Abbasi, for one, is questioning how he recovered so fast.

Saif Ali Khan was attacked in his Mumbai apartment on January 16 by an intruder, suffering multiple knife wounds. He underwent two surgeries, during which doctors removed a blade fragment from his body. Despite the severity of his injuries, Saif was discharged from the hospital within five days and appeared to be in a seemingly healthy state.

Shamoon Abbasi took to Facebook, expressing skepticism and calling the story “bizarre”.

He wrote, “Generally I don’t pay attention to Bollywood news, but this Saif Ali Khan case is the most bizarre and nerve- wracking story, nothing aligns with the next statement.”

The Waar actor pointed out how Saif’s reported wounds and his quick recovery appear contradictory, further fueling public doubts about the incident’s authenticity.

Shamoon Abbasi isn’t alone, Indian politicians, including Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam and Maharashtra’s Minister Nitesh Rane, have questioned the legitimacy of the incident.

Nirupam remarked, “Recovering from spinal and neck injuries with five days and walking normally, this seems like something only superheroes can do.”

Bollywood actress Pooja Bhatt defended Saif Ali Khan, praised his bravery, and condemned the conspiracy theories.

Pooja Bhatt said, “Instead of spreading baseless speculation, Saif’s courage should be applauded, he drove himself to the hospital in an injured state, proving his resilience.

While Saif Ali Khan himself has not commented on the whispers, multiple medical websites state that healing from stabbing wounds that have not punctured a major organ or a large blood vessel can be quite fast, depending upon the injured individual’s overall health.

Earlier, Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan looked remarkably fit in his first public appearance since getting stabbed last week after an intruder entered his Mumbai home in the early morning hours.

Despite getting stabbed six times, Saif Ali Khan looked hale and hearty and in good spirits after being discharged from Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital, a hand brace and faint bandage on his neck the only reminders of his ordeal. His trademark beard was replaced by a clean shaved visage.

He waved to fans and the paparazzi, before climbing into a car where his wife Kareena Kapoor was already waiting for him in the backseat. Flashing a smile at the papps, he left in the car for home.

Doctors have said that Saif is expected to make a complete recovery.

  • Imran Khan tells Malik Riaz to name and shame ‘corrupt’ judges, generals, politicians

Imran Khan tells Malik Riaz to name and shame ‘corrupt’ judges, generals, politicians

Days after property tycoon Malik Riaz posted a warning on his official X (formerly Twitter) account in response to a National Accountability Bureau (NAB) press release, former premier Imran Khan asked Riaz to disclose the names of the politicians, judges and generals who had received benefits from him.

Founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan’s X (formerly Twitter) handle posted, “I ask Malik Riaz to disclose which judges, generals and politicians received bribes and other benefits from him over the last 30 years so that the nation knows who has been involved in dirty deals. The world should know how clean those who lecture about the bogus Al-Qadir (University) Trust case really are.”

The controversial property tycoon, in response to the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) press release on Tuesday against his Dubai-based project, took to X on Wednesday warning, “I am holding back, but there is a storm within me. If this dam breaks, then everyone’s façade will shatter. Don’t forget that the secrets of the past 25–30 years are preserved along with evidence.”

Riaz stressed that he will neither be used against anyone nor will anyone blackmail him, adding, “My decision yesterday was the same as it is today: no matter how much oppression you inflict, I (Malik Riaz) will not testify.”

According to a statement posted Imran’s X account, negotiations with the incumbent government were scuttled after a raid on the residence of Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) chief Sahibzada Hamid Raza, an ally of the PTI and its spokesperson for the negotiation committee.

“We are immediately discontinuing all talks (with the government). A raid on the home of our ally, who is the spokesperson of our negotiations team, is an attack on our negotiations committee itself. Such a duplicitous and malicious negotiation process cannot yield anything positive,” reads Imran Khan’s statement.

Incarcerated Imran Khan reiterated demands to constitute a judicial commission comprising of the three most senior judges of the Supreme Court to probe the May 9, 2023 and November 26, 2024, incidents. “Any other commission would not be acceptable to us,” he added.

The former premier also claimed that for the sake of the rule of law, he had directed his party to take other opposition parties into confidence. “We have been working on a grand national agenda against the fake government. There is instability in the country,” Khan added.

Earlier in the day, PTI chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan told reporters outside Adiala Jail Rawalpindi that the jailed party founder had directed them to call off negotiations over the government’s failure to form judicial commissions.

  • ‘He’s my junior’: Ahmed Shehzad opens up about ‘issues’ with Babar Azam

‘He’s my junior’: Ahmed Shehzad opens up about ‘issues’ with Babar Azam

Pakistan cricket team opener batsman Ahmed Shehzad has opened up about his issues with former captain Babar Azam.

Shehzad recently appeared on a podcast with Ahmed Ali Butt, where he shared his thoughts about not being part of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and his issues with Babar Azam.

“Babar Azam is my junior, and I have no personal issue with him. However, I think making him captain was the wrong decision. In Pakistan, decisions are made based on performance, but no one checks if the person has leadership qualities. PCB selectors often hide behind one player,” he said.

He claimed Babar mostly performed against weaker teams. “When the pressure increased, big teams started visiting Pakistan, but their main players didn’t come.”

Ahmed criticized Babar’s captaincy, saying, “Babar has played four ICC events, but no one talks about his performance in those tournaments. My criticism is based on numbers, not personal grudges.”

He also accused Babar of keeping his friends in the team despite poor performances, saying, “For example, Abrar Ahmed was performing well now, but earlier, Shadab Khan was being kept in the team despite underperforming.”

Ahmed further said, “In ICC events, eight players dominate the team, which led to Pakistan losing matches. They silence criticism by dropping players temporarily and then bringing them back in the next series.”

He concluded by saying his main issue with Babar Azam and PCB is unfair decisions.

Babar Azam has been under criticism since the ODI World Cup 2023 after a spare of poor performances. Shehzad had spoken against Babar during that time on his YouTube channel and national television.

Minor boys missing since a week from Karachi

Five-year-old Aliyan and six-year-old Ali Raza, who went missing from the Garden area of Karachi on January 14, have not yet been traced by the police despite an extensive search.

The children went missing from the area when they were reportedly playing outside their house.
The Garden police has said that they have registered a case of kidnapping and started an investigation, yet after more than a week the children have not been found.

On January 21, DIG-South Syed Asad Raza told the media that the process is taking time because the Garden Town area of Karachi is highly populated and acquiring CCTV footage is an uphill task.

Three suspects were detained for interrogation. However, the news of children being kidnapped by a couple was dismissed as the investigation revealed that the footage was of another family.

Later, police searched the Lyari River, passing through the Garden area, and checked various tanks, wells, and surrounding bushes, but no trace of the missing children could be found.

SSP Arif Aziz told the media that the investigation is going on. “All possible steps are being taken to search for the children. Various CCTV footage has also been obtained and the search is underway.”

Moreover, with the help of technology, the police has concluded that the children were taken away from the Dhobi Ghat area of Garden and their last location was traced at Kashti Chowk in Lyari while geo-fencing of the area is also being conducted.

Three minor boys going missing within one week has raised alarm bells in Karachi.

Seven-year-old Sarim went missing on January 7 and was found after 11 days on January 18 from a water tank in a high-rise building near his home.

Police stressed that they did search the place initially as well.

The autopsy report of the child revealed that he was subjected to sexual assault before getting murdered.

As per the details, the victim had suffered 12 different injuries on various parts of the body and “all are antemortem (prior to death) except one injury”.

The report also outlined that although the body was found after 11 days, the examination of the body confirms that the boy had died “approximately four to five days” before.

Recent reports have raised concerns about the investigating skills of the police, as it became clear that he was alive at least a week after his kidnapping.

  • Here’s how much players might pay for GTA 6

Here’s how much players might pay for GTA 6

Industry experts believe that Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6), the highly awaited sequel to 2013’s GTA 5, could cost between $80 and $100, breaking the usual price range for video games.

Matthew Ball, CEO of Epyllion, predicts the game could set new pricing trends with the increasing development costs.

In a recent report on gaming trends for 2025, Ball explained that video game prices haven’t kept up with inflation over the years.

For example, even a $70 price for GTA 6 would make it the “cheapest” game in the series in real terms since the inflation-adjusted average price for the franchise is about $91. He said, “The combination of growing production costs and slower player growth could make GTA 6 a key moment for the industry to raise prices.”

GTA 6, expected to launch in fall 2025 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, could become the biggest entertainment release ever, with predictions of $3 billion in first-year revenue, including $1 billion from pre-orders. Analysts believe the game’s popularity and scale might justify a higher price.

However, this has sparked debate. Michael Douse, publishing director at Larian Studios, pointed out on social media that while inflation might support higher prices, developers must ensure their games meet player expectations and are worth the cost.

As game budgets grow and the industry slows down, GTA 6 could pave the way for higher prices.

Whether Rockstar will go beyond the current $70 standard is still uncertain, adding to the discussion about what modern games are worth.

  • Reason behind Bilawal’s sudden weight loss revealed

Reason behind Bilawal’s sudden weight loss revealed

People have been speculating about the possible reasons behind Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s drastic weight loss. However, journalist Imtiaz Chandio has revealed the cause.

Citing a source from Bilawal House, Chandio took to X (formerly Twitter) and disclosed that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is using insulin after being recently diagnosed with diabetes. He added that the Chairman PPP’s weight loss is a result of using insulin.

“Bilawal Bhutto Sahib [Chairman PPP] has not lost weight on his own. Rather, he has been diagnosed with diabetes. His weight has decreased due to the use of insulin. May Allah grant them good health,” the journalist wrote on X while sharing the Chairman PPP photo.

Diabetes is a long-term condition caused by excess glucose, a type of sugar, in the blood. There are two main types of diabetes: Type 1 Diabetes and Type 2 Diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is far more common than Type 1.

Recently, Bhutto’s weight loss became a topic of widespread discussion among social media users, with some even comparing him to Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor.

In January 2025, during his appearance at the wedding of Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah’s daughter, netizens first noticed Chairman PPP’s physical transformation and praised his fitness.

An X user, while sharing a latest picture of Bhutto, wrote, “Bilawal lost so much weight. Future PM Bilawal Bhutto is literally looking more handsome than Ranbir Kapoor.”

“Mashaallah! Our boy is way more handsome than Bollywood actors, so please stop comparing him with Ranbir Kapoor,” another user commented while complimenting Chairman PPP’s stunning look.

One wrote that Bilawal is gearing up for the next Prime Minister with a heroic look.

Some netizens, however, opined that Bhutto underwent surgery to achieve such physical transformation.

A netizen wrote, “Diabetes SE itna jaldi wazan Kam ni hota is NE bariatric surgery karwai ho gi jis ma stomach Ka size Kam Kia JATA hy us SE Boht jaldi wazan Kam ho JATA hy. (Diabetes alone doesn’t lead to such rapid weight loss. He must have undergone bariatric surgery, which reduces the size of the stomach, resulting in significant and quick weight loss).”

Karachi family shocks social media with claim of being Salman Khan’s blood relatives

A family from Karachi, Pakistan, claims to be blood relatives of Indian ‘Dabangg’ hero Salman Khan.

According to a video report by private TV Express, Bari Mamu, who came to Karachi from Indore during the partition of the subcontinent, claims that Salman Khan’s father is his paternal uncle.

The elderly man claimed that before India’s 1947 independence, his family and Khan’s grandfather’s family lived in the state of Indore, and the elders of both families held high positions in the state police there.

According to him, “His family came to Pakistan after the partition of India, while Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan’s grandfather and father remained there because even then they held high positions in the Indore police.”
