  • Who tweeted in Babar’s support from Fakhar’s account?

Who tweeted in Babar’s support from Fakhar’s account?

Pakistan batsman Fakhar Zaman recently tweeted in favour of Babar Azam, leading him to be dropped from the central contract. But did Fakhar tweet himself, or was someone else behind it?

Now, national right-handed batsman Ahmed Shehzad has raised his concerns about this issue. In his vlog on YouTube, he said, “Fakhar Zaman’s tweet has cost him dearly. It’s like his wings have been clipped, and I think the Cricket Board’s decision is the right one. The situation is that Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, and Rizwan are all under the same agent (Saya Corporation). That agent got Fakhar Zaman to tweet, which has now led to him being dropped from the team and losing his central contract. Now, it raises the question: will that agent also get the other players to tweet on Fakhar’s behalf?”

“It seems like Fakhar Zaman may be regretting his actions now, as they have backfired on him. His people have used him. Fakhar might realize what happened to him a bit later, but in essence, he’s been used by his own people. No centrally contracted player would ever tweet like Fakhar Zaman did on someone else’s behalf, he added.

Talking about PCB’s decision to drop Fakahr from the central contract, he said, “I think PCB’s decision is spot on. It sends a strong message not only to the player involved but to all other players that PCB makes the decisions and that their role as players is to perform, focus on improving team rankings, and fulfil their roles as best they can. It’s a wake-up call to focus on the field, especially considering the recent decline in Pakistan’s performance across formats.”

Babar Azam was dropped from the last two Test matches of the recent series against England, after which Fakhar tweeted in his favour.

But PCB issued a show-cause notice, and later, he was dropped from the central contract 2024-25.

Kate Winslet reveals truth behind Titanic’s iconic scene

Was there really room on the door for Jack in Titanic? Decades after the film’s release, Kate Elizabeth Winslet has finally cleared up the mystery surrounding the iconic floating debris, revealing it wasn’t a door at all but rather a piece of floating wood.

During an interview on at a 92nd street Y event, English actress Winslet recalled how the water wasn’t as deep as it appeared in the film, stating, “That was quite an awkward tank. Because, to burst the bubble, it was waist height at that time.”
She joked about the challenges of the shoot, revealing, “I was regularly like, ‘Can I just go for a pee?’ I’d have to climb off the door and walk to the edge of the tank, which was sort of 20 feet away.”

Reflecting on her rise to fame, Winslet mentioned the pressure she felt afterward, saying “I felt like I had to look a certain way, or be a certain thing, and because media intrusion was so significant at that time, my life was quite unpleasant.”
Titanic released in 1997, tells the love story of Jack and Rose aboard the ill-fated RMS Titanic. Their romance blossoms amid class struggle and the ships tragic sinking, capturing the hearts of audience worldwide.
The film was directed, written and produced by James Cameron.

‘If we remove auto-tune, then Aima Baig isn’t a singer’, says singer Sara Raza

Singer Sara Raza Khan has criticised Aima Baig’s singing skills.

Recently, Sara appeared on the show Zabardast with Wasi Shah, where she shared her thoughts on popular Pakistani singer Aima Baig’s singing skills, as well as on Mehwish Hayat as a singer.

Speaking about Aima Baig, Sara said, “If we take away auto-tune, then Aima Baig isn’t a singer.”

She then commented on Mehwish Hayat’s talents, stating, “There are many like this — we might enjoy them as actors or entertainers, but if I needed someone to act or model in a film or an item song, I’d hire Mehwish Hayat for her performance, not for singing because she can’t sing. I’m sorry, but that’s true.”

  • Fakhar Zaman parts ways with ‘SAYA’ following tweet for Babar Azam

Fakhar Zaman parts ways with ‘SAYA’ following tweet for Babar Azam

Pakistan team’s opening batter Fakhar Zaman has parted ways with his player agent company ‘Saya Corporation’, his elder brother announced in a social media post.

In a message posted on X (formerly Twitter), Gohar Zaman confirmed that Fakhar Zaman is no longer part of the company. Several cricketers, including white-ball captain Mohammad Rizwan and former captain Babar Azam, are associated with the company.

Sources indicate that Fakhar Zaman left the company due to an alleged social media post in favour of Babar Azam. It is believed that the player’s agent did not choose an appropriate time for the social media post.

Fakhar’s tweet in favour of Babar Azam:

National cricketer Fakhar Zaman had severely criticized Pakistan Cricket Board’s decision to drop former captain Babar Azam in the second and third Test matches against England.

Fakhar wrote on X sitting Indian star cricketer Virat Kohli, “It’s concerning to hear suggestions about dropping Babar Azam. India didn’t bench Virat Kohli during his rough stretch between 2020 and 2023, when he averaged 19.33, 28.21, and 26.50, respectively.”

“If we are considering sidelining our premier batsman, arguably the best Pakistan has ever produced, it could send a deeply negative message across the team. There is still time to avoid pressing the panic button; we should focus on safeguarding our key players rather than undermining them,” he wrote.

The Pakistan squad for the second and third Tests against England was announced on Sunday, while Babar Azam, Naseem Shah and Shaheen Afridi have been dropped from the team.

PCB’s show-cause notice to the Fakhar:

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had taken strict action against batsman Fakhar Zaman after Zaman publicly supported Babar Azam in a tweet on X.

According to Geo, PCB has issued a show cause notice to Fakhar Zaman and asked for a reply within a week. Geo sources say that the notice was issued to Fakhar due his public criticism of the selection policy, stating that the tweet was a violation of discipline.

Fakhar Zaman dropped from central contract 2024-25:

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recently announced the central contracts for the 2024-25 season, and unfortunately, Fakhar Zaman was dropped from the list.

Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Mohsin Naqvi has explained the reason behind sacking Fakhar Zaman from the central contract.

Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, October 27, Naqvi said, “Any national team player cannot go around tweeting his opinion on decisions made by the selection committee.”

  • The war within; Is PTI out to sabotage itself?

The war within; Is PTI out to sabotage itself?

“Tout brothers”, “Bastd”, “Aadha teetar, aadha batair”. Such words are openly used by PTI members, current and former, to talk to each other in public. Private conversations are reportedly even more furious and fiery, with grievances and accusations marring nearly every meeting. Party unity ka ‘programme tou warrh gya’. Infighting within parties is nothing new.

When Nawaz Sharif was removed from the post of prime minister and subsequently incarcerated, many analysts predicted that the party would disintegrate, split itself along the ideological lines of the two brothers at the helm, Nawaz and Shehbaz, the proverbial noon and sheen. We were told that many PML-N leaders did not want to accept Nawaz’s daughter Maryam Nawaz as the head of the party in her father’s absence.

We knew that many in the party wanted Nawaz Sharif to befriend the establishment again while others opposed it. We saw Chaudhry Nisar walk away from the party. We were told Shahid Khaqan Abassi was unhappy. But what we did not see was party members calling each other “tout” and “BC”, like we can now with PTI.

The most popular party in the country is slugging it out in a very public brawl. Leaders are calling each other out by name, raising questions about each other’s loyalty, airing their dirty laundry in full view of the general public. With Imran Khan in jail, the party is like a headless chicken, running around aimlessly. And it does not seem like any leader is immune to the temptation of behaving in an unruly and undisciplined manner.

Ali Amin Gandapur vs Hammad Azhar As the only PTI leader to hold a position of true power, Ali Amin Gandapur, the Chief Minister of PTI’s power base Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has the unenviable task of managing the responsibilities of his constitutional post with the expectations of his party’s protests.

He has led two protests now, being the only known face at the second one, disappearing afterwards for hours, only to appear later in his province, after reportedly cordially meeting or being roughed up by the powers that be. And then media reported that his motives had been questioned by Hammad Azhar, a PTI leader who is missing in action since quite a long time. During a party meeting where PTI decided to call off its Oct 15 protest, Hammad insisted that the protest be held, despite the SCO starting on the same day.

An irate Gandapur reportedly replied, “You are in hiding yourself yet you are telling party members to come out and protest.” He then pointed his guns towards PTI Punjab. “I came to Islamabad twice [to protest] but PTI Punjab leadership could not be found anywhere.”

Sher Afzal Marwat vs Everyone At one point the most popular leader of the party behind Imran Khan, Marwat the Maverick has seen his star wane after constant battles within the party forced him to leave the center stage. The media’s darling in the early part of this year, Marwat landed in hot water with his colleagues over his outspokenness.

He was criticized at committee meetings, deemed unsuitable for the position of PAC chairman and asked to apologize to party Chairman Gohar Khan. In August, an alleged notification issued by PTI showed the party asking Marwat to resign from his post. It was later on proved to be false. In his latestattack on PTI, Marwat alleged on Sunday that the KP government, led by Ali Amin Gandapur, did not want Imran Khan to be released from jail. A day later he said Ali Amin’sactions could pave the way for Governor Raj in the province.

Salman Akram Raja vs Faisal Chaudhary The affable lawyer Faisal Chaudhry, brother of Fawad Chaudhry, fell victim to Party Secretary-General Salman Akram Raja’s wrath, who removed the advocate from the party’s WhatsApp groups in a fit of rage. Party sources said that Faisal’s unauthorized media talk to journalists outside Adiala Jail proved to be the final straw but Faisal himself said that he was penalized for telling thetruth to Imran Khan when he met him a few days earlier in Adiala jail.

At the time of filing this report, Imran Khan has reportedly played mediator and resolved the fight between the two. But the spat led to the following mega brawl. Fawad Chaudhry vs Azhar Mashwani vs Raoof Hassan Though Fawad Chaudhry is no longer a member of PTI, he does seem to be committed to accepting Imran Khan as his leader. Once considered a very close aide of Imran Khan, Fawad still comments on matters that other members consider none of his business. He appeared on Gharidah Farooqui’s show, leading to a polite disagreement with Shahbaz Gill.

However, he later changed gears and decided to outright criticize party leaders, leading to public spats on Twitter. Mashwani took the opportunity of using Faisal’s removal from party WhatsApp groups to tell Fawad on Twitter, in so many words, that he needed to criticize the “zaalim and not the mazloom”.

Meanwhile, Raoof Hassan took to Twitter to call Faisal and Fawad the “tout brothers” and declared Faisal’s entry into the legal team a “sinister attempt” to create divisions within the party. Never one to mince his words, Fawad replied by calling Raoof a “baard”and a “BC”, pointing out that Faisal had contested the cases of 500 PTI workers pro bono while Raoof took a salary.

Aleema Khan vs Bushra Bibi Reportedly, Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan, the most politically active member of his family, and his wife Bushra Bibi have also clashed multiple times since Khan’s arrest and subsequent incarceration.

In August this year, many journalists talking to Imran inside Adiala Jail reportedly said that they heard Aleema and Bushra shouting at each other in a tiff over a female lawyer.
Around the same time, a message allegedly sent by Aleema Khan to Raoof Hasan asked him not to spread a “foolish” message that Bushra Bibi had sent, was leaked to the public.

However, the two have never publicly criticized each other.

  • Ramiz Raja responds to ‘controversial’ interview with Shan Masood

Ramiz Raja responds to ‘controversial’ interview with Shan Masood

Commentator and former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja has broken silence over criticism regarding his “belittling” conversation with national Test captain Shan Masood.

In his vlog, Ramiz Raja clarified that his intention was never to belittle Shan Masood. “It is my right to question the players, and everyone will gain respect from Pakistan’s success,” he said.

Ramiz Raja stated that no one watched the complete interview so that he won’t comment on it. He explained that his question was about the chaos after losing six matches. “I asked Shan Masood how he developed patience after those losses. Shan Masood is the age of my son, and we often discuss batting,” he added.

Ramiz Raja mentioned that he questioned Shan Masood about his issues with playing shots towards the league side. “After one win, we forget that we have many milestones to achieve. When Pakistan lost six Test matches, I did not say to remove Shan Masood. I don’t pay attention to social media talk. There is a lot of politics to keep me under pressure. People who haven’t played cricket are talking about it, and it seems that Pakistan cricket only lives on social media,” he remarked.

Ttwo days ago, Pakistan defeated England by nine wickets in the third and decisive Test match, winning the series 1-2, thanks to their spinners’ excellent bowling. This victory marked Pakistan’s first home Test series win in almost three and a half years, with their last home series win in January 2021 against South Africa.

However, despite this crucial win against England, commentator Ramiz Raja engaged in a non-serious conversation with captain Shan Masood. During the post-match conversation, Ramiz Raja sarcastically remarked on Shan Masood’s six failures as captain and suggested that spinner Noman Ali might be anaemic.

This behaviour drew severe criticism on social media. Users strongly disapproved of Ramiz Raja’s attitude at such a moment, stating that publicly insulting the national team’s captain is inappropriate.

Meanwhile, the PCB has also expressed its concerns to the broadcasters over this matter. The PCB wrote a letter to the broadcasters, informing them of Ramiz Raja’s behaviour and expressing their reservations.

  • Sher Afzal Marwat fears governor rule in KP ‘because of Ali Amin Gandapur’

Sher Afzal Marwat fears governor rule in KP ‘because of Ali Amin Gandapur’

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmaker Sher Afzal Marwat has suggested handing over the authority of holding party protests to someone else in place of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Ali Amin Gandapur, fearing that existing practice could lead to imposition of governor’s rule in the province.

“I have no disagreement with Ali Amin Gandapur and I, in fact, admire him. However, Ali Amin is the CM and other parties, including Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), unfairly benefit from his involvement in the protest,” Marwat said while speaking to a private media outlet.

Expressing concern over the possible imposition of governor’s rule in KP, Marwat said that the federal government, on the pretext of using provincial government’s machinery in PTI’s protest, could impose governor’s rule.

Marwat stated that PTI leadership should take the lead in the protests instead of Ali Amin Gandapur. “We can benefit from Gandapur’s support.”

He also stressed the need for the formation of a committee to plan party protests.

“Our priority should be the release of PTI founder Imran Khan from jail,” he said.

People were paid to troll me: Nadia Khan

Television host and actress Nadia Khan shared that she was a target of organized trolling, with people being paid to criticize her.

During her appearance on Hasna Mana Hai, Nadia talked about how concentrated negativity was often aimed at her Ramazan and other TV shows.

The host Tabish Hashmi asked, “The question is, I noticed during your recent Ramadan show that it often seemed like some things were being forced, with a lot of questions being asked and controversies forming around how Nadia Khan was questioning people?”

Nadia replied, “If this had happened a few years ago, there wouldn’t have been any issues, but now there’s a new model of policing on social media. Different channels and people work against each other. When a new show starts, people on social media claim that money is being paid to troll you.”

She emphasized the pressures she faced from industry rivals, explaining, “I was told that to counter this, I should also spend money on it. I said don’t have extra money for such nonsense. I decided to let it be, but I have to say that this is a reality. A new trend was emerging, and if it had become a hit, other channels would have been uncomfortable with it. Money was indeed spent to troll that show, to create viral content against it.”

Nadia is currently leading her show Kya Drama Hai on Channel 24, where

  • ‘I’m not public property’: Alizeh Shah hits back at fans criticising her clothing

‘I’m not public property’: Alizeh Shah hits back at fans criticising her clothing

Actress Alizeh Shah has responded to critics who are trolling her fashion choices while she’s on vacation in the United States.

Posting on her Instagram Stories, she questioned those who criticize her clothing choices, asking if it’s her problem if they don’t like what she wears.

“I know that being a Pakistani and having a different style bothers a lot of people, but is that my problem,” she wrote angrily.

Alizeh, who has acted with big stars like Mahira Khan and Bilal Ashraf in the movie Superstar, pointed out the “hypocrisy” of people who “enjoy watching Pakistani actresses wearing a small blouse and lehnga in movies, but call us out when we wear what we like. Why?”

At the end of her message, she said she’s “done tolerating” the constant backlash from trolls.

“I AM A PUBLIC FIGURE, not a PUBLIC PROPERTY, so keep your opinions to yourself! I’m done tolerating!” she added.

In another story, Alizeh expressed her frustration with the “haters.”

“I honestly feel sorry for you haters. You’re just obsessed! Hating on me just because YOU didn’t get enough love?” she added.

She frequently shares photos and videos of herself enjoying life. However, she regularly receives negative comments about her outfits on Instagram, and this isn’t the first time she’s had to respond to trolls.

Back in May, Alizeh was also criticized for her clothing choices, which led her to speak out again.

“I find all the memes and criticism amusing. But, strangely, a trivial topic like this is trending in our country instead of us raising our voices for Palestine. What’s wrong with people?” she wrote on her Instagram stories.
