    Karan vs. Avinash Again

The promo begins when Avinash says, “Someone stole my coffee.”

Karan, who is working out, responds, “I take things openly; I don’t need to steal when I want something.” Avinash teases him, saying, “Why are you getting annoyed?” Karan replies, “Does a thief’s home ever get robbed?”

Then, Avinash says, “I can move things around however I like, right?” Karan got annoyed and responded, “If anyone touches my personal stuff, I’ll throw them out.”

The promo caption is: “Karan indirectly warns Avinash. When will their rivalry end?”

“You are going to learn some manners since I am here,” Karan said to Avinash

Avinash retaliated by calling Karan names like “Chomu, Nalla, Takla (bald)” and added, “If he talks about my family, I’ll go after every hair on his head.”

Police arrest Imaan Mazari, husband for removing barricades

Lawyer Imaan Zainab Mazari-Hazir and her husband, Hadi Ali, have been arrested over their recent “interference in government operations”.

As per the details, police had registered a case against Mazari and her husband at the Aabpara Police Station for “creating security risk and interfering in government matters”.

The case was registered after Mazari and her husband had gotten into an altercation with local police and removed barricades setup for movement of the English national cricket team in Islamabad last week.

Shireen Mazari confirmed the arrest of her daughter in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

“Imaan Mazari has been arrested this morning. State fascism in full swing. On Friday at the road barrier @ICT_Police swung the steel barrier delib into her assaulting her as videos show & injured her. Who will hold police accountable 4 terrorism? @MohsinnaqviC42, shameful coward!,” she wrote.

Islamabad Police, on the other hand, wrote on X, “Islamabad Police has taken legal action and arrested Iman Mazari Hazir and Hadi Ali as per the law and regulations.

A police spokesperson also clarified that the arrest of the couple had come after they clashed with police at Zero Point Interchange, attempting to clear road blockades set up for the England team’s protocol.

Imaan’s husband “thrashed capital police, abused them and threatened them with dire consequences”, police said.

Speaking to journalist Matiullah Jan on October 25, Human Rights activist Imaan Mazari Hazir stated, “Islamabad police, along with traffic police, had closed the road around 8:30 am; there was a lot of crowd. Hadi came out of the car and asked the police why there were barricades on the road. Traffic police responded that they would open the road in the next 5 minutes as the England team crossed the road.”

“After the road was not cleared of said time, I, along with my husband, again came out from the car to clear the road to clear the barricades, and the road is not anyone’s inherited,” Mazari said furiously.

  • Maira defends Nazish Jahangir on fraud allegations

Maira defends Nazish Jahangir on fraud allegations

Actress Maira Khan believes that the allegations made by actor Aswad Haroon accusing Nazish Jahangir of fraud and deception will not be true.

Khan recently opened up about Jahangir’s cheating allegations on the FHM podcast.

“The public should not talk about Nazish Jahangir and the new actor accusing her. It was their affair; others have nothing to do with it,” she said, adding that both parties should learn the lesson from the entire fiasco.

“The boy, in his greed, gave everything to her, and when it was not fulfilled, he accused her and defamed her. It shows that it was not the actress but the person who was bad, who accused Nazish Jahangir,” she said.

A fraud case was filed against Nazish Jahangir by budding actor Aswad Haroon. Later, in an interview, the said actor claimed that he had given Nazish Jahangir lakhs of rupees in cash, a car worth over 50 lakhs, and other valuable gifts over the past few years. He alleged that the actress promised to introduce him as a hero in showbiz.

Mahira Khan remarked that Nazish Jahangir should not have done what she did: “She should have acted carefully; she was a well-known showbiz personality, she had a name, and she should not have spoiled his name and career.”

“Nazish Jahangir should have come forward on the issue of cheating and told the truth about the accuser,” she added.

According to Khan, “Actresses come forward and say that no one wanted to cast a person who gives cars, other gifts, and money in dramas; he cannot be a hero. There is no fault in that, but I don’t know why actresses don’t come forward.”

She also argued that Nazish Jahangir did not take the car and money from the actor “at gunpoint” and that the accuser gave everything “out of his love and affection, so there is no fault of the actress,” adding that the accuser is wrong; “why did he give money and valuable gifts to the actress?”

She further commented, “What happened if the said person could not become an actor and hero despite giving money? He gained fame by accusing the actress on social media, and now he is being talked about everywhere.”

Mahira Khan believes that the accuser has fulfilled his purpose in all the drama: “He got the fame he wanted; today, everyone is talking about him, he became famous. Now he should forget the car and money.”

Last month, in September, the local court of Lahore rejected Nazish Jahangir’s bail in the fraud case filed against her.

  • CJP Yahya Afridi has ‘strong bias’ against Imran Khan, claims journalist Ahmad Noorani

CJP Yahya Afridi has ‘strong bias’ against Imran Khan, claims journalist Ahmad Noorani

Self-exiled journalist Ahmad Noorani has alleged that the newly appointed Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi has “a long-standing hatred for Imran Khan.”

In a vlog, Noorani discussed the political situation of Pakistan, especially the recently passed 26th Amendment and the appointment of a new CJP.

“Justice Yahya Afridi has many qualities, but the most significant trait that brought him the appointment of CJP was his hatred for Imran Khan,” claimed the journalist.

Ahmad Noorani also claimed that Justice Yahya’s bias against Khan is long-standing, but the reasons remained unknown.

Justice Yahya Afridi, who was nominated by a Special Parliamentary Committee (SPC) last week, took oath as the chief justice of Pakistan (CJP) on Saturday.

Following the passage of the 26th Amendment, the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) will now be “appointed on the recommendation of the Special Parliamentary Committee from amongst the three most senior” SC judges.

Previously, the president used to appoint the CJP based on the seniority principle, according to which Justice Mansoor Ali Shah would be the next CJP.

  • Here’s why Aaqib Javed wasn’t appointed Pakistan’s head coach

Here’s why Aaqib Javed wasn’t appointed Pakistan’s head coach

The reason for former Test cricketer Aaqib Javed not being appointed as the head coach of Pakistan’s white-ball team has been revealed.

Geo reported that Aaqib Javed did not have a visa, which was why Jason Gillespie was persuaded to take the role. Gillespie and Tim Nielsen then left for Australia this morning.

After Gary Kirsten resigned from the position, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) appointed Jason Gillespie as the head coach for the Australia tour. Before this, Aaqib Javed was considered a strong candidate for the head coach role.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi resolved the matter late into the night. Coach Jason Gillespie’s appointment is for an interim period.

    Gary Kirsten resignation:

Head coach of Pakistan’s white-ball team, Gary Kirsten, has resigned from his position on Monday morning, sending shock waves across cricketing circles. According to sources, Kirsten decided to resign due to disagreements with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Yesterday, reports emerged that there were severe disagreements between Kirsten and the PCB regarding team selection and matters related to support staff. Kirsten had threatened not to join the team for the Australia tour if his demands were not met.

The disagreements stemmed from Kirsten’s insistence on having his way and not adhering to the contract. He was pressing for his preferences in the white-ball team and central contract categories and demanded the inclusion of his preferred foreign support staff.

    Kirsten conflict wiht PCB:

According to Geo, relations between Gary Kirsten and the PCB have deteriorated due to Kirsten’s insistence on having things his way and not adhering to the contract. Kirsten was pushing his preferences in the white-ball team and central contract categories and was also demanding the inclusion of his preferred foreign support staff.

According to the contract, Gary refused to stay in Pakistan and insisted on joining the team five to six days before a series or tour. The PCB reminded him that the contract allowed for one month of leave per year. Sources also mentioned that Kirsten was reminded of his commitment to be available for 11 months, but he failed to make himself available fully during or after the Champions Cup.

Kirsten even threatened not to go to Australia until the contract for mental performance coach David Reid was clarified.

PCB has taken a firm stance on enforcing the contract and Kirsten’s demands and wants full adherence to the agreement. The board has decided not to be swayed by Kirsten’s threats and maintained that any future decisions are for Kirsten to make.

The Pakistan team will play three ODIs and three T20 Internationals in Australia, with the ODI series starting on November 4.

  • Goher Mumtaz opens up about Atif Aslam’s Jal exit

Goher Mumtaz opens up about Atif Aslam’s Jal exit

The bone of contention between Atif Aslam and Goher Mumtaz, which led to the former’s exit from Jal band 21 years ago, has time and again become a topic of discussion for fans. But what actually happened between the two?

Recently, singer, actor and founder of Jal, Gohar Mumtaz, appeared as a guest on Ahmad Ali Butt’s podcast, where he discussed experiences and addressed his relationship with fellow musician Atif Aslam.

When asked as to how he dealt with the intense criticism and personal challenges he faced following Atif’s exit, especially with all the attention the situation grabbed, here’s what he had to say, “It was a struggle for me personally, but I thought that if you emotionally control yourself and don’t focus on what someone said or what their brother did, then it becomes less of an issue.”

“That was my thinking, but I had to suppress a lot because I didn’t want to disappoint those fans who want to make music and form bands. Being in a band is a harsh reality, and you know that well. But because the band and music were larger than life, I didn’t want to say anything negative about anyone. I wanted to prove my work through my songs. That was my thinking, but obviously, there was pressure about whether I could do it again,” he added.

Reflecting on his relationship with Atif, Gohar said, “I do regret one thing… I have a different relationship with you, and you are also a good friend of Atif. I regret that Samina Peerzada had a programme where Atif talked a lot about me. I think that was the first time he spoke about me. I also gave that interview and they asked me the same questions but I did not open up.”

“Again, Atif never brought that up. I think we have matured now; we are not 17 or 18 anymore. We should inspire people with good things because people still love us.”

Goher was referring to Atif’s statement wherein he had opened up about the reasons that led to his departure from Jal.

“I worked in Jal Band for 3-4 years, producing 6-7 songs, we parted ways due to multiple reasons. My brother, working at a marketing company, managed us. Discussions with Goher focused on performing live shows and leveraging my brother’s marketing expertise. Initially, my brother considered quitting his full-time job to focus on our project and he managed us for a couple of months. However, Gohar suggested his brother should manage him too. The core issue was financial disparity,” Atif had said.

When asked about the impact of Farhan Saeed’s departure from the band, Gohar responded said, “Honestly, I have a very good bond with him. We didn’t let the past affect our relationship, and we’ve had a great bond. I think we were together for about eight to eleven years. So that didn’t affect us. In fact, we thought we needed to move on. We’re not kids anymore; we have to look ahead.”

“I think Farhan’s intention in leaving was to see what’s next. When you’re in a band and have won every award, from Best South Asian Band to Favorite Artist in India, there comes a time when you wonder what’s next. I always told him that the best thing for him was to stay with Jal and also do Bollywood, as it’s a combination that feels right,” he said.

  • FACT CHECK: Ex-CJP Qazi Faez Isa’s children heckled at airport?

FACT CHECK: Ex-CJP Qazi Faez Isa’s children heckled at airport?

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) followers have once again fallen victim to a fake video, presenting unknown travellers as children of former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa.

Sara Mir, also known as Rukhsana Kousar, a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) worker yesterday misled PTI followers by adding a voice-over over the original video, falsely identifying unknown travellers as former Chief Justice Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa’s sons arriving at London airport.

In the original video, it can be seen that a social media user, reportedly named Jamil, asked the unknown travellers, “Are they Qazi Faez Isa’s son? Upon which, an individual said, “No, no, they are not these children,” and the video gets cut.

Sara Mir added her voiceover in the original video in which she used harsh language against the unknown travellers, declaring them to be Qazi Faez Isa’s children.

“Qazi Faez Isa has sent his son here. Look at Qazi’s shameful and filthy son,” Sara Mir said in the dubbed video.

  • Fakhar Zaman considering retirement from cricket: reports

Fakhar Zaman considering retirement from cricket: reports

Pakistan’s aggressive opener Fakhar Zaman is reportedly considering retirement after being dropped from the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) central contract, according to Urdupoint.

The aggressive batter has been asked to undergo another fitness test in January, revealing double standards. Usman Khan stopped during the third round of the 2-kilometre run but not only received a contract but also made it into the squad.

According to details, the PCB selection committee released the list of centrally contracted cricketers yesterday, and Fakhar Zaman’s name was not included. Last year, he was in the B category. Fakhar Zaman is also not included in the squads for the tours of Australia and Zimbabwe.

Recently, he was invited for a fitness test but couldn’t complete the 2-kilometer run in 8 minutes. This test was used as a basis to drop him.

Some sources suggest his candid conversation at the connection camp and tweet in favour of Babar Azam also played a role. Close sources to Fakhar Zaman said he is very unhappy with the current situation. He believes he always played for the country and never prioritized records but is being treated this way. Fakhar Zaman is considering retirement but hasn’t made a final decision.

Close friends advised him not to make any emotional decisions, as he could still represent Pakistan for several more years. On the other hand, sources revealed that Imam-ul-Haq completed the run in 8 minutes and 11 seconds, while Kamran Ghulam completed it in 8 minutes and 22 seconds. Yet, Imam was excluded, and Kamran was awarded a contract.

Similarly, Usman Khan stopped during the third round of the 2-kilometre run this month but was still included among the contracted cricketers and in the teams for the Australia and Zimbabwe tours.

Despite having fewer wickets than Haris Rauf (C), Naseem Shah was placed in the B category. Shaheen Afridi, who has taken the most 80 wickets for Pakistan in all formats since July 1, 2023, was demoted from A to B category. On the other hand, Babar Azam remains in the A category despite being out of form for a long time.

  • Is the government trying to table a 27th Constitutional Amendment?

Is the government trying to table a 27th Constitutional Amendment?

An interesting situation is emerging in the political sphere of Pakistan as the coalition government, days after passing the 26th Constitutional Amendment, is now preparing to table the 27th Constitutional Amendment in the parliament.

ARY News reported that a meeting was held between Shahbaz Sharif and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari yesterday in Lahore, in which it was agreed by the two coalition partners that the 27th Constitutional Amendment would also be brought into effect and all efforts would be made to do so.

In order to pass the new amendments, the government would need a 2/3rd majority in both houses of the parliament; however, JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazl ur Rehman has categorically refused to support any new amendments while talking to the media.

But the real question is, what is the government trying to achieve through the 27th Amendment?

Anchorperson Maria Memon stated on her show recently that there are considerable legal loopholes in the recently passed amendments, including the fact that “a constitutional bench cannot be formed.”

According to Memon, “Article 191A dictates that a judicial commission would be responsible for making constitutional benches. However, according to Article 175A (one), the Judicial Commission must include the most senior Judge or Judges.”

Maria stated that this is a serious flaw, and neither a new judicial commission nor a constitution bench can be appointed unless the Parliament amends the provision through the 27th constitutional amendment.

The question arises whether the government would try to amend the seniority list of judges in the next amendments.

Furthermore, recently, Rana Sanaullah, while talking to the media, also hinted at the possibility of legalising military trials of civilians in the upcoming amendments.

Geo News reported that the coalition government wants to bring the 27th constitutional amendment aimed at empowering local government systems in the provinces.

Adviser to the PM on Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah pointed to the MQM-P’s long-standing demand for legislation to amend Article 140A to empower local government, including a request to allocate funds to local government (LG) institutions similar to the financing provided to provincial administrations.
