The film also features Javed Sheikh, Adnan Siddiqui, Osama Khan, Muhammad Fawad Khan, and Faryal Mehmood. Javed Sheikh portrays Nayab’s father, who opposes her cricket ambitions, while Muhammad Fawad Khan plays her supportive brother, helping her achieve her dream of making it to the national team.
Sahir Hasan, son of veteran actor Sajid Hasan, who was arrested in Mustafa Amir’s case, was recently seen smiling alongside his father in a viral video, sparking outrage. Many social media users are questioning the country’s legal system, pointing out the seeming advantage extended to the son of a celebrity.
A video of Sahir in custody surfaced online, showing him seated on a chair with one hand shackled while his father sat beside him. What caught everyone’s attention was Sahir’s unusually relaxed demeanour — he was smiling.
This triggered widespread frustration on social media. Many sarcastically pointed out that his expression reflected the flaws in Pakistan’s justice system, while others criticised Sajid Hasan for standing by his son despite the gravity of the allegations. One user wrote, “He looks so at ease, as if he knows he won’t face any real consequences.”
The discussion has also shifted to Sajid Hasan’s role in the situation as the viral video shows the veteran actor allegedly working to secure his bail. While some see this as a natural parental instinct, others argue it highlights the privilege embedded in the justice system, where influence can sway outcomes.
One user commented, “A father should be ashamed in such a situation, not standing proudly beside his son.” Another commented, “God forbid, but why is he so happy? His father is beaming with pride, as if his son had just won a gold medal.”
This isn’t the first time a case involving prominent figures has sparked debate about accountability. Many are now watching closely to see if Sahir Hasan will face justice or if his connections will shield him from consequences.
Sahir’s arrest
Sahir was arrested for the kidnapping and murder of 21-year-old Mustafa Amir after two suspects, Armaghan and Shiraz, identified him during police interrogation. Authorities later found high-end drugs worth Rs. 5 million in his possession, leading to additional charges of drug distribution.
Police state that Sahir admitted to supplying drugs for over two years, including to Armaghan, the prime suspect in Mustafa’s murder. Investigations reveal Mustafa was lured to Armaghan’s home under false pretenses and killed after a New Year’s Eve party dispute. His body was then dumped in Balochistan, and his car was set on fire to destroy evidence.
Pakistani actor Danish Taimoor has taken on a new role in a new drama series, Mann Mast Malang, which premiered on Geo Entertainment on February 21, 2025. The series airs every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 8:00 PM, with Taimoor and Sahar Hashmi as the lead characters.
Saba Hamid, Uzma Hassan, Adnan Samad, and Nayyer Ejaz round out the ensemble cast.
In his new role, Taimoor plays Kabir Khan, a character in a troubled relationship with Riya, played by Sahar. Their engagement is disrupted by family problems, turning their affection into hatred. As the story unfolds, both characters are forced to confront their pasts and reassess their feelings, navigating a difficult emotional journey.
Despite the new storyline, people have noticed a pattern in Taimoor’s casting choices. Many of his recent projects, like Deewangi, Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi, Ishq Hai, and Jaan Nisar, depict him as a wealthy individual who falls in love with a woman from a lower background. This frequent portrayal has sparked debate among viewers and commentators, suggesting a pattern of typecasting throughout his career.
Social media platforms have become a hotbed for these discussions.
Users on Instagram have voiced frustration with Taimoor’s identical roles, with one user commenting on the predictability of his characters. Similarly, one remarked on the repetitive nature of his roles, questioning the lack of diversity in his acting portfolio.
However, Danish Taimoor has demonstrated adaptability throughout his career. His role in the Ramadan series Chand Tara showcased his ability to step away from dramatic roles, providing an enjoyable change for audiences. This performance highlighted his capacity to embrace multiple genres and complex characters.
As Mann Mast Malang progresses, audiences remain hopeful that Taimoor will take on more diverse roles, breaking away from the stereotype of the affluent, love-struck protagonist. Diversifying his character choices could benefit both his career and the evolving landscape of Pakistani television.

Renowned actor Behrooz Sabzwari has stirred a heated debate online by holding parents and girls responsible for increasing divorce rates in society.
Recently, he appeared on a private channel’s morning show with his wife, Safina Behrooz, where the couple openly discussed their long and successful marriage.
Speaking about his relationship, Behrooz Sabzwari credited his wife for his success. “Safina is the secret of my good fortune. I achieved a lot of success after marrying her,” he said.
His wife, Safina Behrooz, echoed similar sentiments, saying, “After so many years of marriage, love, care, and respect have only grown.” She added, “My husband takes more care of me.”
The veteran actor emphasized the unique bond between spouses. “There is no alternative to the love of parents, and the love of children cannot be denied either. However, there is no parallel of the closeness between husband and wife,” he stated. “No one else can give the same support that a husband and wife provide to each other,” he added. Safina Behrooz highlighted the sacrifices women make in marriage, saying, “A woman makes more sacrifices to make a marriage successful.”
He stressed the importance of patience in a relationship, attributing his marital stability to his wife’s efforts. “For a successful marriage, there should be tolerance in the relationship, and my wife played a vital role in keeping my family together,” he remarked.
However, his comments on gender roles and divorce sparked controversy. “The role of the man should be more important than the woman in arranging a marriage,” he asserted. “Even if the girl is mentally ill, the husband should treat her with love and affection.” Discussing rising divorce rates, he expressed concern over extravagant weddings ending in breakups. “Marriages worth crores of rupees end in just a few months,” he observed.
Blaming modern parenting, he remarked, “Tolerance has disappeared among girls these days.”
Targeting parents, he said, “Before marriage, parents spoil their daughters with unnecessary pampering. They tell them, ‘We have arranged such an expensive wedding, so don’t worry about the future, don’t be afraid.’”
He further claimed that such an attitude gives women a sense of entitlement. “That is why after marriage, the girl feels like she has come with a hunter in her hand and does whatever she wants in her new house,” he said.
According to Behrooz Sabzwari, “The domineering thinking of girls is not tolerated by their husbands, which is why mental harmony cannot be achieved, resulting in divorce.”
His remarks have ignited discussions on social media, with many questioning his comments and calling him misogynistic.

She admitted that after being diagnosed, she felt terrified and disheartened by people’s reactions but later gathered the courage to fight back.
“I imagined myself as strong and healthy. I shaved my head and did a photoshoot to express solidarity with women suffering from cancer,” she said.
Angeline Malik also raised concerns about the lack of facilities for cancer patients in Pakistan. “There are no proper facilities for cancer patients, not even places for them to exercise. There are no guidelines or regulations for their care before and after treatment,” she stated.
She emphasised the importance of fitness and nutrition in recovery.
“Exercise and a healthy diet, along with treatment, play an important role in cancer recovery. But in our country, little attention is given to diet and exercise. The way people treat cancer patients is also frightening—it leads many to depression and fear,” she added.
