Eight years have passed since the death of legendary Bollywood actor Om Puri, but for director Nabeel Qureshi, the memories of working with him are still fresh.

The Pakistani director took to Instagram to remember Puri on the eighth anniversary of his passing, and shared how hard it still was for him to believe that the icon was gone.

“It’s been almost 8 years now—January 5, 2017, was the day the legendary Om Puri left this world. I still can’t believe he’s gone. I had the rare privilege of working with him very early in my career. I was just 30 when I got the chance to direct this extraordinary actor, someone whose craft was larger than life, yet whose heart was even bigger [sic],” he wrote in an emotional Instagram post, sharing memories of their time together.

The Quaid-e- Azam Zindabad director described the late actor not just as a talented performer but as a warm and caring individual who left a deep impact on those around him.

“My connection with him went far beyond work. The bond we built while working together remains one of the most cherished chapters of my life. Om Puri Ji was so loving, caring, and full of warmth — a compassionate human being above all else,” Qureshi said.

He also recalled the unforgettable moments they shared in Pakistan, India and Dubai, with Puri’s hospitality and love for food leaving a lasting mark.

Qureshi also reflected on the wisdom Puri shared with him and producer Fizza Meerza. “We miss him deeply. Om Puri Ji was a man beyond borders, an artist who stood for peace and humanity.”

“May his soul rest in eternal peace. His legacy continues to inspire us, and his memories will forever be etched in our hearts,” he concluded.

Nabeel Qureshi has directed film such as, Na Maloom Afraad, Actor in Law, Na Maloom Afraad 2, Load Wedding, Khel Khel Meun, Quaid- e- Azam Zindabad, Jin Mahal, and his recent was Na Baligh Afraad.

Indian actor Om Puri (19 October 1950 – 06 January 2017) known for his performance in mainstream Hindi film as well as Urdum Malayalam, Bengali, Kannada, English, Punjab, Gujarati, Telegu, and Marathi films. He has aslo won Padma Shri, Indian’s forth highest civilian honor in 1990.

 Om Puri’s remarkbale career includes starring in several in several iconic films such as Kalla Kalla Bachitko, Chor Chor Chhupka, Ghasjiram Kotwall, Godhuli, Saanch Ko Aanch Nahin,Bahu Ki Awaaz, Aatank Hi Aatank, Brother in Trouble, Target, Tarpan and Kartayya.

The internet caught fire when Zendaya, 28, appeared on the Golden Globes red carpet on Sunday night with an enormous rock on her finger, with social media users speculating Holland had popped the question.

Specialist outlet TMZ reported Monday the pair, who have been dating since 2021, took their relationship to the next level during a cozy Christmas together.

The British actor, 28, went down on one knee “in a very intimate setting in one of Zendaya’s family homes in the United States,” TMZ said.

“We’re told Tom didn’t make a huge show of the engagement — it wasn’t a big, over-the-top proposal — instead, it was very romantic and intimate.

“Our sources say the family wasn’t there… it was just a sweet moment between Tom and Zendaya.”

The pair, who met on the set of “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” are one of Hollywood’s most beloved couples, despite fiercely guarding their privacy.

Holland was not at the Globes on Sunday — Hollywood’s first major event of the awards season — but Zendaya was there as a nominee for “Challengers,” a love triangle set in the world of tennis.

Indian actress Rakhi Sarwant has kicked off 2025 by embarking on a spiritual journey for Umrah.

 The Joru Ka Ghulam acrtress’ life took a transformative turn when she embraced Islam after marrying Adil Durrani. Thought her marriage ended in  2023, last year, she took her first Umrah journey, praying for peace after separation from her husband. This marks her second Umrah pilgrimage, as she continues her spiritual path with devotion. 

 

Currently in the holy city of Madina, Rakhi Sawant is preparing to vist the Khana Kaaba as well where she will perform Umrah.

Sharing her feelings, she said, “The world is celebrating New Year, and here I am on pilgrimage. It’s heartwarming to begin New Year with this spiritual journey .I believe 2025 will be amazing because I started it with Umrah.”

Rakhi expressed gratitude for being part of such a peaceful experience, saying, “It’s so peaceful to see everyone performing Umrah with devotion and peace. I am praying for all my friends and those in need.” Her journey reflects her deep connection to her faith and commitment to peace and well-being.

Earlier, the Bollywood actress has said that she will keep getting married until she finds the right life partner.

A clip from the interview has gone viral on social media. “I hopes the court will give me back my money and also a divorce so that I can marry a good guy again in the future and live my life in peace.”

Rakhi expressed her intention to marry again and again, stating, “I will stay married until I die until I find the right life partner, till then I will continue to love because this is my life, I have only one life.”

She continued, “If you go to Hollywood, you’ll see people marrying multiple times, numerous boyfriends, and relationships, and it doesn’t matter there. All the boundaries are only in India.”
At the beginning of this year, news came out that Rakhi Sawant has married Adil Khan Durrani after accepting Islam last year. Adil denied the marriage, then went silent before finally admitting to the marriage.

However, with the death of Rakhi’s mother, the news of problems in her marriage began to circulate. Rakhi approached the court for divorce citing Adil Khan’s affairs, physical violence, indecent videos and disputes over money.

 At just 24, veteran actress Hina Dilpazeer faced the challenges of being a single mom while balancing her career.

Appearing as a guest on Ayesha Omer’s show, the Bulbulay actress shared how she manged life after divorce and how her son Mustafa became her biggest support.

“In my personal life, I got married and then got divorced. I was 24 when I got divorced. I had gotten married at 18, and I had a son. Yes, he was a small child, only three years old when I got divorced.”

She shared how she explained her work to her son, saying, “He was very young, and obviously, I tell him ‘Okay, I’m going for a shoot,’ and he would sit and watch cartoons. I would explain to him that yes, I am doing this. Sometimes, I would take him to the shoot with me, and I introduce him to the kind of work I do. Mustafa has been so helpful, and I am very grateful to him.”

Hina stated that her husband divorced her in anger while their son was only 3 years old. After her separation life was hard for the Bulbulay star due to societal stigmas attached her life became very difficult citing an example of how people don’t let a divorcee sit near to a bride especially in 90s.

Later she connected to her own self as she couldn’t share her pain with friends or family members. The talented star started working at a radio station and later switched to television.

She didn’t feel the need to find love again as she was occupied with work and raising up her son.

Balancing the glamour of entertainment industry while fulfilling religious duties isn’t easy, and actress Sabeena Farooq understands this struggle well.  

Taking to Instagram, the Mann Jogi actress has shed light on how she balances it all and why she has decided to appear in fewer TV projects. 

“In my stay home pray namaz on time ERA, one thing that really hits me on my working days & that’s also one reason I don’t do a lot of TV which is also something I love but I struggle to manage it all with not being able to make wuzzu over all that makeup and hairdo and then those days are only filled with guilt and sadness most of the times as I am behind in my religious practice. Trying everyday to achieve this balance and get back to work [sic],” she said.

Renowned Pakistani actress Neelam Muneer has finally shared her stunning photoshoot in her wedding dress on Instagram, captivating fans worldwide.

Neelam dazzled in a beautiful red ensemble, while her husband Muhammad Rashid looked regal in a traditional white sherwani. The couple’s wedding photos have sent social media into a frenzy,  providing a glimpse into the joyous wedding celebrations of the gorgeous couple.

In the photos making rounds on social media, the Chakkar actress was seen with her husband for the first time, posing with the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa, in the background. However, details about the groom were not revealed.

For those who didn’t know, rumors about Neelam’s marriage began in November. She confirmed it earlier this week, sharing glimpses from her intimate Mayoun night and mentioning that, “All the wedding festivities have just started.”

The picture of the couple’s Nikah ceremony had also led to unconfirmed reports claiming that Rashid was a “billionaire businessman” based in Dubai.
