Punjabi singer Naseebo Lal’s husband Naveed Baloch has been arrested by the police in connection with a firing incident that left one person injured. 

According to reports, the police stated that Naveed Baloch was involved in a shooting incident in his neighborhood in Shahdara Town. A case was filed against him on the complaint of the police, leading to his arrest and transfer to the police station.

The incident occurred during a fight between Naveed Baloch and other individuals from the neighborhood, during which he allegedly opened fire. The First Information Report (FIR) mentioned that a person was injured by Naveed Baloch’s firing and was immediately taken to the hospital.

Lahore Police arrived at the scene, arrested Naveed Baloch, and took him to the police station. Naseebo Lal also went to the police station to seek his release and spent the entire night there.

Naseebo Lal has not yet isued a statement on the incident.

Pakistani actor Khaqan Shahnawaz has been slammed for passing disparging remarks about Bollywood superstar Kareena Kapoor Khan, sparking criticism from both Indian and Pakistani fans.

During an appearance on a private TV show, a fan expressed interest in seeing Shahnawaz act alongside Kareena. He jokingly replied, “I can play her son. Yeah, I can play her son.” He added that the Jab We Met star is much older than him. 

The joke, such as it was, did not sit well with Kareena’s fans, who quickly voiced their disapproval on social media. Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan recently posted heartwarming photos on Instagram, including one of Saif walking amid dried trees with a red heart emoji. Another photo showed Taimur in front of a large, beautifully decorated Christmas tree with the caption “Mera Beta” (My Son) and a red heart emoji.

Despite the controversy, Kareena seems unaffected, focusing on her family and festive celebrations.

India’s legendary filmmaker Shyam Bengal, known as one of the greatest masters of the craft, has passed away at the age of 90 in Mumbai on 23 December. He was being treated for kidney problems at Wockhardt Hospital, his daughter Piya Benegal has said while confirming the news. 

Benegal’s work brought powerful and realistic stories to the screen, earning him praise from fans and critics. His well-loved films, including Ankur, Manthan, Nishant, Bhumika, and Zubeidaa, focused on ordinary people’s struggles.

 The director was celebrated for his unique style and received 18 National Awards during his career. He was also honored with the Padma Shiri in 1976 and the Padma Bhushan in 1991 for his contributions to Indian cinema. 

He celebrated his 90th birthday on December 14, surrounded by friends and fellow artists.
News of his death has left the film industry and his fans deeply saddened. Many actors and directors, including Shabana Azmi and Naseeruddin Shah, paid tribute to him, calling him a true legend.

Actor Sami Khan has revealed shocking details of a fight between two famous actresses during the shooting of a drama set in Kashmir.

The incident, which involved two lead actresses, became so intense that one actress even threw a shoe at the other.

Appearing as a guest on After Hours with Ushna Shah, the Wrong No 2 actor opened up about the incident.

“I was sitting and talking on the phone when suddenly one actress came and sat right in front of me. Her behavior was a bit unusual, but I stayed calm and continued with my phone conversation,” Sami Khan explained.

 The Aik Chubhan Si actor continued: “I went to the makeup room while talking on the phone. Suddenly, the door opened, and another actress came in. A heated argument broke out between them, and in the middle of it, one actress threw a shoe at the other. I was talking to someone very important at the time, so I quickly stepped out, ended the call, and returned to find out what had happened.”

 Sami Khan further clarified, “I was told the fight escalated when one of the actresses slapped the other. Although both actresses were playing lead roles and were almost the same age, violence is never justified, no matter the situation.”

He emphasized that physical violence is never okay, no matter the situation.

“One of the actresses was the main lead, while the other was in a supporting role. But regardless of the roles, violence is never acceptable. I was supposed to witness a scene where the two were to embrace, but instead, a slap occurred. The justification for the slap didn’t make sense. If something went wrong, it should have been addressed with the director or producer, not through physical violence,” Sami Khan added.

 

Despite the chaos, Sami praised the professionalism of the actress who was mistreated. “After the incident, the actress who was treated wrong continued working without letting it affect her performance. She completed her last shot for the day, showing incredible professionalism,” he said.

Fans have speculated that the drama in question may have involved well-known actresses Alizeh Shah and Minsa Malik. However, the names of the actresses and the drama have not been officially confirmed by Sami Khan or the production team.

The cohost, Ayesha Shakoor, asked, “I’m sure you receive lines from fans because of how handsome you are. What was the craziest fan encounter you’ve ever had in your life?”

“It was a very crazy experience in Lahore. Everyone remembers that day in 2012 or 2013,” Khan remembered, recalling that it rained heavily, “so much that people said it looked like it was snowing.”

“The only star power we have right now is with Fawad bhai, Humayun bhai, and these other guys, these are the stars.

“Only once they step aside can others step up. I mean, we don’t even need to replace them yet because we don’t have anyone ready to take their place,” he said.

Talking about the drama serial Gentlemen, Aalam praised its high production.

“The work was good, the story is solid, the people are great, and the production is top-notch, but, for some reason, it hasn’t fully clicked yet. Maybe it will once the proper love story starts because, in dramas, it usually picks up after around the eighth or ninth episode. It’s rare for a drama to take off right from the first episode”, he added.

South Indian Telugu cinema superstar Allu Arjun’s residence in Hyderabad was attacked and vandalized by protesters on Sunday.

Tensions peaked on Sunday evening when protesters attacked Allu Arjun’s house in Jubilee Hills. In a video shown by local television, protesters can be seen pelting stones, throwing tomatoes, and breaking flower pots at his house.

The protesters were demanding that Allu Arjun take responsibility for the family of a woman who was crushed to death in a stampede at the premiere of his film Pushpa 2 at the Scindia Theatre in Hyderabad on December 4.

According to media reports, the protesters belong to the Joint Action Committee of a university in Hyderabad and are demanding that Allu Arjun pay one crore in compensation to the woman’s family.
