‘If Ahsan Khan had not been married, I would have taken him’: Saba Qamar

Actor Ahsan Khan invited Lollywood A-lister Saba Qamar as a guest for his Youtube session ‘Lo Kar Lo Baat’. As the two actors drove around, discussing various topics, Saba hilariously revealed she would have married Ahsan had he not been committed to someone else.

Ahsan asked the ‘Kamli’ star which actor she would have married had he not been committed, after which the actress cheekily pointed to him.

Saba then revealed that she had a crush on the ‘Udaari’ actor before she became a big star.

“Back when I wasn’t an actress, I managed to swipe Ahsan Khan’s number from somewhere and I would send him missed calls and messages. Just to tell him that one day I will work with him.”

“And the day I began working with Ahsan,” Saba recalled while laughing, “You started a fight with me after which I hated you. I cried a lot but I forgive you now.”

Ahsan apologised for the fight, and joked that he had fights with all of the actresses with whom he had good chemistry on screen. Saba then said that after their fight, she began understanding him and fell even more in love. But by the time she would have confessed her feelings, Ahsan got married.

Ahsan said he was shocked, and thought Saba wanted to remain an independent woman to which the actress laughingly said “When girls say ‘No I won’t get married’, it actually means they want to!”

  • Deepika finally responds to criticism of Koffee with Karan interview

Deepika continues to live her best life while living rent free in the minds of haters.

A few weeks back, Deepika and Ranveer raised eyebrows with their ‘Koffee With Karan’ interview where the two revealed they casually dated for a couple of months before getting engaged. The ‘Om Shanti Om’ actress recalled ending an abusive relationship not ready for a serious commitment. The two actors, therefore, kept seeing other people while dating each other. After the two got engaged, they decided to remain a monogamous couple.

Deepika became the target of sexist jokes, and claims that she cheated on Ranveer during their relationship. Now, during an interview with Vogue India, the actress has declared she is past the point of letting trolls dictate her opinions.

“When I feel really strongly or passionately about something, I don’t think twice about expressing myself. I’ve grown to become this person where I’m not afraid of speaking my truth or owning up to mistakes. I’m not afraid of saying sorry,” Deepika responded, as according to Mashable India.

While social media users had Deepika’s back to protect her from the naysayers, the industry did as well. Host of ‘Koffee With Karan’, Karan Johar, did a livestream where he addressed the criticism over Deepika’s comment, and shut down her critics.

“Do what you need to do because no one’s looking,” responded the celebrated director according to The Hindustan Times. “Trolling gets you nowhere. You are landing nowhere.”

  • Iqra Aziz wants new moms to remember it’s okay to prioritise themselves

Iqra Aziz wants new moms to remember it’s okay to prioritise themselves

Actress Iqra Aziz is back on our screens, starring as the main lead in the rom-com ‘Mannat Murad’, ending the break she took from work after the birth of her and Yasir Hussain’s son, Kabir. During an interview with BBC Urdu, Iqra shared an important message about the pressure new moms face in balancing their home life and their careers.

The actress recalled the time when an actor visited her house, and was aghast with how she was sitting at home while her husband was the one who was working and finding new projects. Reflecting on this encounter, Iqra said she was working on social media, if not on the field as an actress, and was enjoying her time home while taking care of her son.

“I can’t pressurise myself to break out of a relaxing phase because of ambition. It was my personal choice to sit back and take some time to reflect on myself. I began working from a really young age, and I have been working every day. Before meeting Yasir, I was even working on Sundays. It’s my choice that after working so much, I have reached a phase where I would like to relax and enjoy my life. This was my first son and I wanted to make every moment memorable.”

We will completely endorse this message and applaud the actress for stressing on this incredibly important factor because so many new moms suffer from mental health problems because of the pressure to juggle their social commitments, while also learning to be there for their newborns. We’re so happy Iqra isn’t letting others dictate her choices. Giving birth isn’t easy and every mom should do what suits her mental health.

Did not intend to hurt anyone’s sentiment’: Abdul Razzaq apologises to Aishwarya Rai for sexist comment

Former cricketer Abdul Razzaq sparked outrage on Tuesday when a video of him passing degrading comments about Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai went viral. Former cricketers Shahid Afridi and Umer Gul were sitting with Razzaq at a panel where the current team’s performance was being discussed. They could be seen laughing at the misogynistic statement.

Several X (formerly Twitter) users described their disgust by slamming the cricket player as sexist.

Razzaq has now apologised for his comments, saying that he did not intend to hurt anyone’s sentiment.

“Yesterday, we were talking about cricket coaching and intentions. I had a slip of tongue and mistakenly took Aishwarya Rai’s name while I was supposed to give another example. I apologise to her personally. I did not intend to hurt anyone’s sentiment,” Abdul responded.

Shahid Afridi also apologised for laughing at Abdul’s sexist remark. Speaking to a private news channel, the former captain revealed he laughed because everyone was enjoying the moment.

“I saw the clip when I went home and realised that Abdul Razzaq made a wrong statment. I knew he had a mike in his hand and will say something. He has a habit of getting beaten by shoes. I will just text him tio apologize for what he said as it was wrong.”

  • Halsey reaffirms stance for liberation of Palestine

Halsey reaffirms stance for liberation of Palestine

Singer Ashley Frangipane (stage name Halsey) has been criticised since October for remaining silent on the genocide in Gaza, a cause she had previously spoken up about. The singer finally took to Instagram to release a statement, confirming that her politics remain unchanged.

The ‘Colors’ singer wrote that she chose to remain silent after receiving extensive death threats for her political stances in the past.

“I am, truthfully, exceptionally anxious about navigating my responsibility as a career activist as it pertains to my daily life off of social media: Being the mother of a small child and a member of my community, in addition to the contribution of my greater voice and platform The global conversation has reached a volatility that I’m having a hard time navigating here and and offline.”

“During my last tour,” continued the ‘Gasoline’ artist, “I had a volume of violent and threatening events occur that resulted in my home being swatted multiple times and required the presence of snipers in the sky during most of the shows that summer. After that happened , I made a conscious decision to protect my family from people who plan to enact violence towards me in disagreement of my opinions.”

Continuing in the next slide, Halsey added that it didn’t feel right, her silence on the Palestinian genocide is keeping her from speaking out about families enduring violence in Gaza.

“However it doesn’t sit right with me that a decision I made for my own family is in turn keeping me from vocalizing support for families enduring far worse violence. Families caught between the brawling hands of a militarized government and a terrorist organization, and the diaspora of both parties trying to get through each and every day.”

“I have no meaningful statement or excuse to make that could justify my weeks of silence this time around. And I deeply despise the culture of deflecting responsibility to save face in front of the audience demanding comment. So instead I’m coming here to call it for what it is, admit my regret, and reaffirm my stance regarding the liberation of the Palestinian people.”

American rapper goes viral for displaying names of Palestinian toddlers killed by Israeli airstrikes

Rapper Marcus Morton (who goes by his stage name redveil) has gone viral for a recent performance at a concert.

The rapper was performing at Camp Flog Gnaw, one of the biggest music festivals of America, when he broke off from singing to make a meaningful gesture.

The rapper took a moment to display the names of all Palestinians toddlers who were killed by Israeli airstrikes in Gaza, where now more than 12,000 civilians have died. The named ended with the display of the website ceasefiretoday.com, which provides a list of ways Americans can pressurise their governments to end the genocide of Gaza.

‘It’s not complicated, don’t let no body tell you that s***,” Marcus was seen telling the crowd. “Go to this f***ing website right now, call your reps, demand a f***ing ceasefire.”

X (formerly Twitter) users celebrated redveil’s solidarity to the Palestinian liberation movement, declaring him to be the sole musician who took a stand despite knowing it could have affected his career.

“This is unprecedented. That moment we’d been waiting for; that cultural shift which delegitimizes Israel and will lead to it’s dismantling; of unapologetic calls for liberation— is upon us. Who would’ve imagined such crowds in the US screaming Free Palestine even 5 years ago?!”

More class and morality than Rihanna, Beyonce, and Tiffany Hadish compiled.

“The bar for artists has been massively raised,” praised several activists.

  • ‘Cheap knockoff of Kabir Singh’: Viral clip from Danish Taimoor’s new drama has Twitter in fits

‘Cheap knockoff of Kabir Singh’: Viral clip from Danish Taimoor’s new drama has Twitter in fits

Once more, Danish Taimoor’s dramas are providing meme fodder for the internet. A clip from the actor’s series ‘Rah e Junoon’ is trending after drawing comparisons between Danish’s character and a well known misogynist, Bollywood villain Kabir Singh. This led to many mocking the show by calling it ‘Kabir Singh from Daraz’.

This led to Internet users coming with all sorts of hilarious quips to roast the clip.

Really Danish where’s the range! Give us something other than toxic university boy roles

Twitter users are done with Danish Taimoor’s tasteless choice of scripts. He made the internet laugh with a scene from ‘Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi’ where it looks like the hero gets off on the miserable cries of his lover.

And then in ‘Ishq Hai’, Danish thought what’s a better way to make yourself a hero on screen than kidnapping a woman, threatening to shoot yourself if she doesn’t marry you?
