‘It was never about Hamas’: Kardashians’ makeup artist slams the destruction of Gaza

Among the many public figures who are speaking out against the genocide in Gaza, is acclaimed makeup artist Ariel Tejada, known for working with the Kardashian family, especially Kim Kardashian.

Tejada has a history of collaborating with the Kardashian sisters, especially being known as Kylie Jenner’s go-to makeup artist. The Kardashian family publicly announced their support for Israel, while Kim was slammed on social media for the costumes her children wore on Halloween, with many saying they mocked the injured children of Gaza.

Tejada uploaded a reel where he was singing ‘Depression get the best of me’ by Zevia and wrote why he could relate to the song at this moment:

“This very specific part of this song has been hitting home more than ever. With the genocide/ ethnic cleansing happening with the people of Palestine, I cannot even begin to imagine the grief , and the feeling of hopelessness and sadness, and fright these people feel right now.

My heart is with every Mother who has lost their baby,

Every friend whose lost their person to confide in.

And all the little babies/ kids and innocent lives that have been taken through the immense mass killing and brutality. My heart is with all of you! And I will continue to do my part in helping to use my platform and my voice! To make sure your story is heard! May God be with all of you.”

In the caption of the post Ariel wrote:

“I’m hopeful that if we all continue to use our voices, we can make a difference for the people of Palestine and all of humanity! Don’t stop posting and spreading the word and horrific images of what’s going on to wake people up! #ceasefire #freepalestine.”

On his Instagram stories, Ariel criticised the occupation by Israeli forces as an agenda to take over Gaza rather than destroying Hamas:

“It was never about Hamas. Anyone that wants to use that as their argument to try and sway my stance, please refrain from speaking to me. Save the bullshit for someone else. 1.5 million people displaced from their homes. This is insane.”

Ariel shared another post highlighting that more blood was spilt in Gaza than there is clean water for civilians. In the caption he wrote: “Let that sit with you.”

  • ‘I’ll never call her back’: Nida Yasir addresses Rabia Anum walking off her show

‘I’ll never call her back’: Nida Yasir addresses Rabia Anum walking off her show

Television host and actress Nida Yasir was a guest on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast where she opened up about the infamous incident on her show when Rabia Anum walked off her show.

Anum was invited as a guest on Yasir’s show alongside controversial actor Mohsin Abbas Haider. Rabia won public praise when she announced during the show that she was walking off air to show solidarity with domestic abuse survivors.

Addressing the incident on Ahmed’s podcast, Nida revealed that the exit was not planned, and she felt humiliated by Rabia’s actions

“She (Rabia) said she found out in the morning who would be the guest alongside with her on the show. We have one makeup room where all our guests are present so she knew who was arriving. She could have consulted with me in private but she didn’t. She had spoken with my team but not with me because I was on set. She could have taken a stand behind the camera.”

“As a host it is my job to be respectful to everyone…When there is a guest in front of me I can’t start accusing them of being wife beaters, chalo leave my show. Who am I to say such a thing like this? I am a host so I have to respect everyone.”

Nida Yasir further elaborated that the incident left her feeling quite insulted, and after Rabia left the show she was never invited back.

Rabia had addressed the comments in a post on Instagram stories, writing there were bigger issues on this planet to care about than media gossip.

  • Angelina Jolie ‘saddened’ by forced deportation of Afghan refugees in Pakistan

Angelina Jolie ‘saddened’ by forced deportation of Afghan refugees in Pakistan

Angelina Jolie has always been one for speaking her mind. The Hollywood A-lister and UNHCR ambassador won hearts globally when she openly criticised the Israeli regime for air strikes on Gaza which has claimed countless innocent lives. Now, she has spoken out against the deportation of 1. (www.enov8.com) 4 million Afghan refugees from Pakistan.

Reporters have said that they are banned from taking pictures of detention centres or to speak with any of the captives, and several families have reported that their children were being picked up despite having a birth certificate.

Sharing clips of Afghan families and children stranded at the border, Angelina called this an example of “the backsliding in human rights globally,” on her Instagram.

“Pakistan has been a supporter for many Afghan refugee families for decades. I am saddened they would so abruptly push back refugees who face the impossible realities of trying to survive in today’s Afghanistan, where women have again been deprived of all rights and the possibility of education, many are being imprisoned, and there is a deep humanitarian crisis.

It is yet another example of the backsliding in human rights globally, and is a new tragedy in the long history of the suffering of Afghan people – who have experienced nothing but war and conflict and displacement for over forty years, and are being abandoned by the world after all the promises that were made of a better future for the Afghan people.”

‘Disgusted’: Timothee Chalamet’s Hamas joke on Saturday Night Live has social media outraged

Hollywood actor Timothee Chalamet guest starred on popular comedy show ‘Saturday Night Live’ in a skit mocking the genocide in Gaza.

Social media users were outraged at a clip in which Timothee plays a man who is ready to commit suicide and has a band called Hamas. A member of ‘Please Don’t Destroy’ then tells him they can’t share the song on Instagram.

The joke comes just as the dire situation in Gaza is taking an even darker turn, with hospitals declaring complete collapse without fuel, water and medical supplies. Babies on incubators, as well as several patients in the ICU, risk being killed as a result of Israeli tanks surrounding the Al-Shifa hospital.

Twitter users were outraged on Timothee Chalamet’s involvement in the insensitive script and criticised him. Many also declared they are boycotting his upcoming films ‘Willy Wonka’ and ‘Dune Part 2’, both of which are set to release in December.

Several cases of people getting fired or losing gigs because of their support for Palestine have come to light since the genocide began.

Many also pointed out the difference in how SNL responded to the Ukraine war by inviting a choir to sing a song about peace, in contrast to mocking the deaths of countless Palestinians in which USA is complicit.

Many also reshared a comedy skit featuring actor Adam Driver playing Aladdin, taking Jasmine on a magic carpet ride. In the scene, when a drone hits Jasmine’s head, Adam remarks “We must be flying over Syria.”

  • Ayeza Khan apologises for her previous post on the Palestine genocide

Ayeza Khan apologises for her previous post on the Palestine genocide

Actress Ayeza Khan was caught in a controversy over a social media post addressing her silence on the war on Palestine. Several users criticised the actress for writing that praying daily is better than pointing fingers and blaming others.

“Because I know that praying daily is more powerful than posting daily, please pray for the world as much as you can and avoid pointing fingers and blaming each other on this platform. We all have children and loved ones, and we can all feel the pain. We cannot imagine how painful it is for them, but I’m keeping my faith in Allah, and very soon, Allah will bring justice, Ameen.”

After severe backlash, Khan deleted the statement and apologised by clarifying her support for Palestine:

“I would like to take a moment to address an issue that has been misinterpreted and circulated. I won’t attempt to justify or explain because God knows that my intentions were not malicious, but I may have failed to articulate it well. I take full responsibility for this, both personally and on behalf of my team. I sincerely apologize to those who were hurt by my statement. I appreciate you all for bringing this matter to my attention, as I, too, am only human. I take full responsibility and assure you nothing of such sort shall ever happen again.”

“While my awareness may not bring on immediate resolution,” the Chupke Chupke actress further penned, “I maintain faith in Allah in the possibility of change through prayer. Therefore, alongside our continuous awareness efforts, let us unite in prayer to end this cruelty. For indeed, we need Him and His divine help. My prayers are with the Palestinians.”

  • Priyanka Chopra, Janelle Monae, Richard Gere joined the ceasefire call

Priyanka Chopra, Janelle Monae, Richard Gere joined the ceasefire call

As the tide shifts with protests being held in America by activists and journalists demanding an end to the genocide of Gaza, more Hollywood stars have added their names to an open letter calling for a ceasefire.

The letter urges Congress and President Joe Biden to call for an immediate de-escalation and ceasefire in Gaza as the Palestinian death toll is set to hit 11,000. Right now, Israeli military has encircled Gaza hospitals, offering no safe exit for doctors and patients stuck inside without water or food.

The ceasefire letter now features more prominent names including Grammy award nominated singer Janelle Monae, Hollywood legend Richard Gere as well as Indian actress Priyanka Chopra.

Previously, speaking with the UNRWA, Richard Gere declared that the people of Palestine hold a special place in his heart.

Prominent actors like Susan Sarandon and rapper Macklemore gave speeches at the March For Palestine protest held in Washington, where both demanded an end for US complicity in Israel’s war crimes.

  • Fiza Ali wants you to know even divorced couples can remain on good terms

Fiza Ali wants you to know even divorced couples can remain on good terms

Actress and television host Fiza Ali has made an important point on how couples can remain good friends and still choose to end their marriage together.

Speaking on the morning talk show ‘Good Morning Pakistan’, the actress opened up about her divorce and feeling disheartened by the way her colleagues discussed her ex-husband Fawad Farooq. Fiza said she left acting after feeling upset with how mutual friends of the couple would backbite about him to her, even though there was no bad blood between the two when they separated.

“Whatever issues I had with Fawad, it doesn’t give an outsider the right to step up and abuse him in this manner. Especially when I haven’t said anything about him, as a friend why are you backbiting about him?”

Fiza said misbehaviour shown by people was something she couldn’t handle, especially how friends kept urging her to open up about how she suffered during her marriage, when the two remained close after their divorce.

“I was never abused or beaten during my marriage, Fawad was not that kind of person! There can be several reasons why a couple can end their marriage and it doesn’t solely mean abuse was innvolved.”

We’re happy to see Fiza being upfront about this issue because too often, Pakistani society loves assuming that the only time a couple should end their marriage is when there is abuse involved. Getting a divorce shouldn’t only be offered as an option in such circumstances, because there are several reasons why couples can feel incompatible and chose to divorce.

Fizza’s statement is also extremely important for audiences to remember that every person is entitled to their privacy. Rather than making assumptions on her behalf and jumping the gun, learn to leave others alone and mind your business!

No Hollywood celebrity showed up to Gal Gadot’s propaganda film screening, and Twitter is in fits

Social media was outraged when it was announced that former IDF soldier, actress Gal Gadot, will be hosting a private screening for celebrities at the Museum of Tolerance, depicting the attacks of October 7. However, Twitter was in fits when Israeli supporter Eve Barlow complained that no Hollywood celebrity-including Gadot herself- had shown up for the event. Viral videos showed protests erupting outside the museum with Palestinian supporters calling for an end to the genocide in Gaza.

“Last night at the Museum of Tolerance, Hollywood was supposed to gather to watch the footage from October 7. Not a single celebrity showed up. F*** their ribbons, and their marches and their signatures. There is no fortitude in Hollywood. They are all a bunch of cowards.”

Twitter users were in fits at Barlow’s tweet.
