Ducky Bhai arrested at Lahore airport

Popular YouTuber Saad ur Rehman, widely known as Ducky Bhai, was arrested early Sunday at Lahore airport after the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) registered a case against him for promoting online gambling and betting applications.

According to media reports quoting the FIR, the case was lodged by the state through NCCIA Lahore at midnight on August 17 under several sections of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016,  including Section 13 (Electronic Forgery), Section 14 (Electronic Fraud), Section 25 (Spamming), and Section 26 (Spoofing). In addition, he faces charges under Sections 294-B (offering prizes in trade) and 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

The complaint stems from an inquiry initiated on June 13 based on “information from reliable sources” alleging that various YouTubers and influencers were promoting gambling apps such as Binomo, 1xBet, Bet365, and B9 Game for monetary gain. The FIR stated that many people invested their savings in these apps and faced financial losses.

Investigators added that 27 video links from Ducky Bhai’s channel were found promoting such platforms, though several of them have since been removed. Evidence collected also showed that Binomo and other apps defrauded users by withholding promised profits, which authorities classified as a public scam.

The FIR further noted that Rehman was summoned but “deliberately avoided” inquiry proceedings, leading to his name being placed on the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL). On August 16, FIA Immigration flagged him while he attempted to travel abroad, resulting in his detention at Allama Iqbal International Airport. His phone was seized, and investigators claimed to have recovered chats with Binomo representatives, records of suspicious payments, and “misleading videos” promoting the app.

The FIR also alleged that Rehman was working as a “country manager” for Binomo without authorization from any Pakistani regulatory authority, including the FBR or the State Bank of Pakistan.

Reports also revealed that the accused was working as a country manager appointed by Binomo’s management, without obtaining any authorization from government institutions such as the FBR or the State Bank of Pakistan.

He is expected to be presented before a local court in Lahore on Monday, where authorities are likely to seek his remand.

  • Palestine joins Miss Universe stage for the first time ever

Palestine joins Miss Universe stage for the first time ever

For the first time ever, Palestine will have a representative at the Miss Universe competition, as Nadeen Ayoub, 2022 Miss Palestine, prepares to take the global stage in Thailand on November 21.

The 27-year-old shared the news in an Instagram video, wearing a traditional Palestinian dress designed by Hiba Abdel Karim. The outfit, embroidered with the nation’s iconic colors and symbols, was more than a fashion statement; it was a proud declaration of Palestinian heritage on an international platform.

“This is not just about me,” Ayoub said. “I walk the stage carrying the dreams of Palestinian girls, the dignity of our mothers, and the voice of a homeland that lives in our hearts.” Her words reflect a vision of beauty as a tool for influence, leadership, and cultural storytelling, rather than just competition.

Ayoub’s participation has sparked widespread praise on social media. One user wrote, “We need more such representation ❤.” Another commented, “All the love and support❤.” A third fan said, “So happy to see Palestine represented on the global stage May your beauty and voice shine as a symbol of strength, hope, and peace .”

Another follower added, “THIS is what pageantry is really about. I am beyond excited to see your reign and watch you use this platform to amplify your voice and the voice of your country ❤ Congratulations habibti, cannot wait for the world to see you shine on that stage .” One user wrote, “Beautiful just as your beautiful country! Free Palestine ❤,” while another said, “Mashallah so proud of you Palestine Always in my prayers ❤.”

Nadeen Ayoub is no stranger to representing Palestine on international platforms. She was previously crowned Miss Earth 2022 in the Philippines, further solidifying her role as a global ambassador. Beyond pageantry, she is a nutrition and health coach, entrepreneur, and co-founder of the Olive Green Academy in Dubai, which leverages artificial intelligence to promote sustainability.

Her activism extends to humanitarian work, environmental protection, and supporting children with disabilities and abused families. Through these efforts, Ayoub has built a reputation for combining beauty with purpose, proving that elegance can coexist with social responsibility and meaningful advocacy.

Her participation in Miss Universe is especially significant as Palestine continues to endure genocide by Israel. The genocide in Gaza, which began in October 2023, has killed more than 61,000 Palestinians and injured over 151,000, with women and children making up the majority of victims. Entire families have been wiped out, and millions have been forced from their homes.

The destruction across Gaza is immense. Satellite data shows over 102,000 buildings have been completely destroyed, and nearly 80 percent of all structures are damaged or reduced to rubble. The healthcare system is on the brink of collapse, with only 19 of Gaza’s 36 hospitals remaining operational. Many provide only limited emergency care, while doctors perform surgeries without proper supplies or anesthesia.

Schools and UN shelters, where families sought safety, have been bombed, resulting in thousands of deaths. More than 400 aid workers and over 1,300 health workers have been reported killed as of April 2025. Journalists have faced unprecedented targeting, with over 260 media workers killed, according to reports.

Starvation has been deliberately used as a weapon, leaving children malnourished and millions at risk of dying from hunger. The starvation death toll has now reached 240, including 107 children, according to Aljazeera.

Taylor Swift shares details of 12th album ‘The Life of a Showgirl’

Taylor Swift has revealed her forthcoming album The Life of a Showgirl, scheduled to drop on October 3, will feature 12 songs, including a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter on the title track. The album will also contain a rendition of George Michael’s 1987 classic Father Figure.

Swift disclosed the tracklist and cover art during a guest appearance on New Heights, the podcast hosted by her partner Travis Kelce and his brother, former NFL player Jason Kelce. She explained that the album was composed and recorded in Europe while she was on tour for the Eras Tour, the first concert series to exceed $1 billion in revenue and to earn over $2 billion in total across 21 months.

As for the album’s concept, Swift mentioned that it encapsulates her experiences from two years spent touring. In contrast to her last album, The Tortured Poets Department, which comprised 31 songs and included a surprise second release, she assured fans that this time there won’t be any extra material. “This is the record I’ve dreamed of creating for a long time,” she shared with the Kelces.

The tracklist for The Life of a Showgirl includes: The Fate of Ophelia, Elizabeth Taylor, Opalite, Father Figure, Eldest Daughter, Ruin the Friendship, Actually Romantic, Wi$h Li$t, Wood, Cancelled!, Honey, The Life of a Showgirl (featuring Sabrina Carpenter)

This album also signifies the comeback of Swedish producers Max Martin and Shellback, who have previously collaborated with Swift on Red, 1989, and Reputation. She acknowledged their influence on some of her most iconic songs, like Shake It Off and Blank Space.

There has been speculation among fans that some of the new songs may touch on Swift’s relationship with Kelce, which became public in 2023. Swift stated that each song on the album was deliberately chosen, with no additions or omissions, to preserve a cohesive theme.

In the period leading up to the announcement, Taylor Nation – a branch of Swift’s official marketing team, Taylor Nation, shared 12 images from the Eras Tour on Instagram, followed by a countdown timer on Swift’s official website. The site temporarily went down before returning to provide initial information about the project.

Swift’s last release, The Tortured Poets Department, broke numerous streaming records, including 300 million Spotify streams in a single day and surpassing one billion in just five days.

  • Celebrities, fans praise Atif’s professionalism for I-Day performance despite father’s passing

Celebrities, fans praise Atif’s professionalism for I-Day performance despite father’s passing

Atif Aslam’s choice to perform on Independence Day in Karachi, one day after his father’s passing, has generated an outpouring of support from fans and fellow artists. The singer graced the stage at the Sindh government’s Maarka-e-Haq Jashn-e-Azadi event held at Karachi’s National Stadium, entertaining a full audience despite his recent sorrow.

His performance caught significant attention as videos from the event began circulating on social media. While some viewers were taken aback by his decision to perform so soon, many from the industry publicly lauded his determination to fulfil a prior commitment.

Actor Saba Qamar posted a heartfelt message on Instagram, stating that she recognized the struggle of performing while in mourning. “Bearing heartbreak while putting on a smile is one of the most difficult challenges anyone can face,” she remarked, adding that his ability to take the stage the following day showcased “strength, depth, and dedication.”

Actor Nameer Khan applauded Aslam, remembering that he had to go back to work shortly after his father’s death and noted how audiences often fail to grasp the struggles artists endure away from the spotlight. “They witness the performance, not the sorrow beneath it,” he commented, referring to Aslam’s performance as a testament to his professional dedication.

Superstar Meesha Shafi referred to Aslam as “the most exceptional and committed artist” of his time, sending prayers for him and his family.

The support extended to social media platforms as well. One user remarked, “Life and performances must continue. We will always remember our loved ones, but they would want us to keep advancing.” Another urged for an end to the online negativity, stating, “Let’s offer a prayer for him. May Allah provide him with the strength to endure this loss and grant his father the highest status.” Others acknowledged that his performance likely fulfilled an engagement made many months prior, viewing it as a testament to his devotion to his art.

Despite frequent reports of delays and last-minute cancellations in Pakistan’s live music circuit where artists sometimes arrive late or withdraw without notice, Atif Aslam’s decision to perform under such personal strain has renewed discussion on professionalism in the industry. Public responses contrasted his approach with a pattern where performers fail to meet commitments. In March 2024, for instance, singer Asim Azhar’s Lahore concert was cancelled at short notice. Organisers cited “unforeseen circumstances,” but Azhar later said neither he nor his team had any conflict and that no genuine reason was provided for the postponement. Against this backdrop, many noted that while cancellations and delays remain common, Aslam honoured an engagement made months earlier, setting an example of dedication to his craft.

Viral video shows Atif Aslam helping young fan in cutest way

A video of Atif Aslam from the Sindh Governor House Independence Day concert is going viral, capturing a heartwarming exchange with a young fan.

While singing “Tu Jaane Na,” the singer was approached on stage by a boy around five or six years old who wanted a selfie. The child’s phone appeared to be switched off, so Atif took it to help, only to find it locked. Kneeling down to the boy’s level, he smiled and asked, “Nahin khul raha, ab kya karein?”

He then handed the phone to the boy’s mother so she could unlock it.

The adorable clip has taken over social media, with fans calling the boy “the luckiest kid” and praising Atif’s warmth. Comments included: “Scene was epic, boy is very lucky for sure he didn’t even know how big a moment it was,” “Cutee,” and “This is the reason why I love him.”

The viral moment happened during the Independence Day celebrations at the Sindh Governor House, where crowds began gathering as early as 7 pm to see one of Pakistan’s most popular singers. Despite a three-hour wait and a lengthy speech by Governor Kamran Tessori, the audience’s excitement never faded. Host Faizan Haq kept spirits high until Atif stepped on stage with his hit “Wo Lamhey,” setting off an electric atmosphere.

He moved quickly through a playlist of crowd favourites, including “Tu Chahiye,” “Tera Honay Laga Hoon,” “Dil Diyan Gallan,” and “Jal Pari,” prompting loud sing-alongs. The show was briefly paused when crowding near the front caused discomfort for some attendees, with Atif halting the music until organisers addressed the situation.

The event, part of the Maarka-i-Haq Independence Day celebrations, also featured performances by Kaifi Khalil and Ali Zafar, and drew thousands to the Governor House lawns for music, lights, and celebrations.

  • ‘Don’t argue with a toddler’s mother’; Zara Noor Abbas has heated exchange in restaurant

‘Don’t argue with a toddler’s mother’; Zara Noor Abbas has heated exchange in restaurant

Actress Zara Noor Abbas recently shared a personal incident on her Instagram story, revealing how a dinner outing with her friends and toddler turned into an uncomfortable confrontation.

According to Zara, she was at a family restaurant when her daughter’s excited screams seemed to bother three people seated at the next table. She recalled that one woman gave her a “dead stare” while a man tried to hush her child.

“I sent my daughter to the side and stood up to ask if there was anything wrong,” she wrote. The group allegedly told her that her child was disturbing them and suggested she shouldn’t have brought her to the restaurant, adding that it was past the toddler’s bedtime and she should be taught “basic manners.”

When Zara asked if they had children, they replied no. She explained to them that handling a toddler in public is not easy and her daughter was not misbehaving on purpose. Their response, according to Zara, was that she should get up and leave the restaurant whenever her child makes noise.

The argument reportedly lasted around 15 minutes before the manager apologized to Zara and the group left. However, she expressed disappointment that no one from the crowd stepped in to support her despite it being a family restaurant.

“Maybe this is exactly why we are dead as a community. We watch. We turn our heads. But we sit and eat until it’s our problem,” Zara wrote. She ended her note by reminding people without children to be mindful when visiting family restaurants and not to argue with mothers over “manners.”
