Angelina Jolie prepares to move abroad, says no longer recognises the US

Actor Angelina Jolie is preparing to relocate outside the United States (US) as she moves closer to acting on long-stated intentions to live abroad.

Jolie, who has spent decades based in Los Angeles, previously said that living in the city was not part of her long-term plans, and the same intentions are now expected to materialise later this year as reports say she is ready to begin a new phase outside the US once family-related restrictions ease.

Reports quoted her friends as saying that her location choices in recent years were shaped by custody arrangements following her separation from Brad Pitt. With her youngest children nearing adulthood, those limitations are expected to reduce, allowing her to relocate internationally.

The move has been linked not only to personal circumstances but also to Jolie’s views on the political and social direction of the US.

While attending the San Sebastián Film Festival last year, she addressed her relationship with her home country, stating, “I love my country, but I don’t recognise it.” The remark drew attention and aligned with comments she has made in earlier public appearances.

Jolie has often described herself as a global citizen and has spoken about maintaining ties outside the US. She has said she expects to spend extended periods in Southeast Asia and has pointed to Cambodia as a place of personal importance.

Jolie adopted her eldest son, Maddox, from Cambodia and has previously said the experience shaped her outlook on life and family.

Her international humanitarian work has also influenced her perspective.

Jolie has worked extensively with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, travelling to refugee camps and conflict areas. She has said those visits introduced her to people from different backgrounds and changed how she viewed borders and responsibility.

In interviews, Jolie has spoken about privacy and safety as priorities for her children. She has said raising a family in Los Angeles placed them under constant attention, something she would prefer to avoid.

Living outside the US, she has suggested, would allow her children to experience different cultures and environments.

‘He got my child aborted’: Ex-wife levels fresh allegations on Imad Wasim as he remarries

Cricketer Imad Wasim’s ex-wife Sania Ashfaq has claimed that the all-rounder made her get an abortion in 2023.

“In December 2023, he got my child aborted in Lahore. He’s a murderer, and I have a video that proves it. He cheated on me,” read one of the posts shared by Ashfaq shortly after the announcement of Wasim’s second marriage.

She also said that their marriage ended under “deeply distressing circumstances” and urged followers to boycott Islamabad United for including “a murderer and a cheater” in its lineup.

“If he could not remain loyal to his family, there’s no way he could be truly loyal to the team,” she wrote.

Earlier, videos on social media showed that Wasim had gotten married to social media influencer Nyla Raja in an intimate ceremony.

The same was then confirmed by the former national cricketer, who wrote, “I went through one of the hardest chapters of my life after a marriage that did not work. Even so, that chapter gave me the greatest blessings of my life, my children. I love them beyond words, and that love will never change.”

“I stayed longer than I should have, holding on to hope and trying to protect what mattered most to me. In doing so, I made decisions I regret. My delay and silence contributed to a situation where an innocent person was unfairly judged and subjected to criticism she did not deserve. I take full responsibility for that, and I carry that weight with sincerity and remorse.”

Rajah also shared a post on Instagram, calling her marriage to Wasim the “best decision” of her life.

“If it wasn’t you, I might have never chosen marriage at all. You protected me in so many ways, even when you were fighting your own battles. Your strength, your patience, and your quiet support mean more to me than words can ever express.”

In a separate post with a black-and-white bridal photograph, Rajah addressed public scrutiny, writing, “Only the person going through it truly knows the pain behind it.”

She said the situation escalated when journalists engaged in targeting her character and personal life, in reference to December last year when Wasim announced his divorce, citing long-standing unresolved issues.

He had gone on to warn against “misleading narratives” and mentioned legal action against defamatory claims amid Ashfaq’s account that a “third party” seeking to marry her husband had contributed to the breakdown of their marriage.

  • Producer of Israeli spy thriller found dead in Athens hotel room

Producer of Israeli spy thriller found dead in Athens hotel room

Dana Eden, co-creator of the propaganda Israeli TV series Tehran, has been found dead in a hotel room in Athens, where the fourth season of the spy thriller is being filmed. Greek police reported that Eden, 52, was discovered by her brother, while her death has been attributed to suicide.

Donna and Shula Productions, the international company founded by Eden, described her passing as “a moment of great sorrow for the family, friends, and colleagues.” The company also addressed reports linking her death to Iran, stating that these were “not true and are unfounded,” and confirmed that it was not related to criminal or nationalistic motives.

Following the discovery, Greek authorities launched an official inquiry. Police spoke to hotel staff and requested security camera footage from the premises. A police spokesperson, Constantina Dimoglidou, indicated that foul play was unlikely and noted that Eden’s brother had said she had been on medication for a condition that had previously required hospitalization.

Eden was an Emmy-winning producer for the Apple TV series Tehran and was a prominent figure in Israel’s television industry. She had been in Athens since February 4, working on the latest season of the series.

Israel’s public broadcaster, KAN, released a statement saying, “We are saddened by the passing of our friend and partner in a long line of productions, series, and programmes. Dana was among the senior figures in the Israeli television industry and played a central role in creating and leading some of the corporation’s most prominent and influential productions.”

Tehran follows the story of Tamar Rabinyan, an Iranian-born spy raised in Israel and recruited to infiltrate Iran’s nuclear programme. Niv Sultan stars in the series, while Glenn Close appeared in the second season. The New York Times described the show as “so persuasively plausible in its portrayal of Israel’s famed intelligence agency that even the FBI director endorsed it.” The Iranian regime has criticised the series as Zionist propaganda.

  • Yumna Zaidi calls for Imran Khan’s release

Yumna Zaidi calls for Imran Khan’s release

Actress Yumna Zaidi has added her voice to growing public concern over the health of jailed former prime minister Imran Khan, posting a direct appeal on her Instagram stories urging authorities to free him.

“Release Imran Khan Sahab, it’s a severe need of the time. Have some mercy,” she wrote.

The appeal follows a court-appointed lawyer telling the Supreme Court that Khan retains only 15 percent vision in his right eye, a condition his legal team attributes to prolonged neglect by jail authorities at Adiala prison in Rawalpindi, where Khan has been held since August 2023.

Barrister Salman Safdar, appointed as amicus curiae by the court, visited Khan on February 10 and filed a seven-page report detailing his health and living conditions.

Safdar told the court that Khan had normal 6×6 vision in both eyes as recently as October 2025, but began experiencing persistent blurred and hazy vision shortly after, which he repeatedly flagged to prison staff. His lawyers say authorities took no timely action.

A medical report dated February 6, signed by Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) executive director Professor Dr Rana Imran Sikander, confirmed the diagnosis: right central retinal vein occlusion, a serious blockage of blood flow to the retina that can cause irreversible damage if left untreated.

Safdar described Khan as “visibly perturbed and deeply distressed,” noting that his eyes stayed watery throughout their meeting and that he repeatedly used tissues.

The report warned that “any further delay poses a serious risk to the petitioner’s well-being” and called for an immediate independent examination by specialist ophthalmologists, including Khan’s own physicians.

The Supreme Court responded swiftly. Chief Justice Yahya Afridi ordered the formation of a medical board and directed that an eye examination take place before February 16. The court also ordered prison authorities to allow Khan to speak by telephone with his sons, Qasim and Sulaiman, both of whom live in the United Kingdom.

A five-member medical team visited Adiala jail on Sunday, conducting an eye examination, taking blood samples and checking Khan’s blood pressure.

PTI, however, rejected the check-up outright, saying authorities carried it out without the presence of Khan’s family or his personal physicians.

Khan’s personal physician Dr Aasim Yusuf said in a video statement that he had not been allowed to examine Khan himself, though he held a 40-minute call with the PIMS doctors treating him and learned that Khan had shown “significant improvement” following treatment.

Law minister Azam Nazeer Tarar dismissed the public alarm on Monday, saying there was “nothing as such to worry about” regarding Khan’s reported vision loss.

PTI and Khan’s family continue to demand his transfer to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad for a full independent evaluation by his chosen doctors.

  • Bad Bunny wears Pakistani brand FOUND on stage

Bad Bunny wears Pakistani brand FOUND on stage

Pakistani fashion brand FOUND’s accessories were seen worn on stage by Bad Bunny after the Super Bowl, following an earlier near-selection to dress the artist for the halftime show.

Videos circulating online after the event showed Bad Bunny wearing custom pieces by FOUND during a stage appearance. The development came days after the Lahore-based brand disclosed that it had been in contention to design accessories for the Super Bowl halftime performance, a task that ultimately went to Spanish brand Zara.

FOUND had shared that it custom-designed a set of accessories intended for the Super Bowl stage. These included hats, gloves and related pieces featuring hand embroidery. The brand said the items were produced in Lahore under a short timeline and shipped internationally ahead of the performance.

Creative director Faraz Zaidi described the near selection in an Instagram post, writing, “‘Almost’ stories rarely matter. It only counts when you land it.” He added, “We custom-designed sets for Bad Bunny that almost made it to the Super Bowl stage.”

According to FOUND, a press release had been prepared in advance of the halftime show. “We had a press release locked and loaded, ready to go the second the halftime show hit,” the brand said, adding that the direction shifted in the final days before the performance. “Somewhere in the final days, the direction shifted. Ultimately, Zara won the bid for the full look.”

In an interview with Dazed, Zaidi said the Super Bowl work was part of a longer collaboration with the artist’s team. “Over the past year, we’ve been working closely with Bad Bunny’s stylist, Storm Pablo, on a series of custom, hand-embroidered accessories created for his tour performances,” he said. “Over time, those pieces became something of a uniform, worn consistently by him across multiple shows. The Super Bowl moment was an extension of that ongoing relationship and creative dialogue.”

Explaining the design approach, Zaidi said, “I approached these pieces through a similar lens in the blend of workwear and ornamentation, using heavyweight cotton twills and canvas as a foundation, then contrasting those materials with intricate hand embroidery inspired by South Asian techniques.”

On the final decision, Zaidi said the team learned of the outcome only once the performance began. “We had our fingers crossed right up until the moment the show began,” he said. “Our focus was on making sure the pieces were created and delivered on time, which they were.”

FOUND said it chose to share the experience publicly to reflect the process behind large-scale collaborations. “There’s near misses that should be equally held,” the brand said, adding that it thanked the artist’s team for the opportunity. Stylist Storm Pablo responded in the comments, thanking the label for the garments.

  • Hania Aamir married? Actress breaks silence after her ‘wedding video’ breaks the internet

Hania Aamir married? Actress breaks silence after her ‘wedding video’ breaks the internet

Actress Hania Aamir pulled off one of the most entertaining pranks of the year, staging an entire fake wedding that had fans convinced she had secretly tied the knot.

The drama unfolded on Friday when an entertainment news page started posting a video showing Hania and a mystery man dancing at what appeared to be a wedding celebration.

Social media exploded with speculation, particularly because the man who was dancing with Hania, bore a striking resemblance to singer Asim Azhar in his mannerisms, height, and fashion choices, including a signature cap he often wears.

Hania revealed the truth on Saturday in a video posted to her Instagram. “Everyone wanted me to get married so bad, so we did a fake wedding,” she said with a laugh. “Welcome to my fake wedding guys.”

The actress went all out to make the prank believable. She organised a full wedding production complete with mehndi, traditional ceremonies, and fellow celebrities who participated to add authenticity. The mystery man wore a mask throughout, fueling speculation that it might actually be Asim.

The prank gained even more traction because of an earlier viral video that showed Hania meeting a masked man at an airport while holding a bouquet of flowers. Fans believed she had reunited with Asim.

That scene turned out to be part of the elaborate setup as well.

Fans loved the stunt. “Love how she doesn’t give a damn and just vibes with life,” one follower wrote. Another commented, “Your dance performance was the best.” Some fans admitted they came to congratulate her only to discover the wedding was fake.

“Apko congrats karne ayi thi lekin iye to nakli shadi hai,” one disappointed follower wrote.

The timing of the prank proves particularly clever given the recent wave of reconciliation rumors between Hania and Asim. Galaxy Lollywood had earlier reported that the two stars would marry this year, a claim neither has confirmed.

Speculation intensified after fans noticed both celebrities wearing similar black sweaters in separate social media posts. Some followers even predicted a Ramzan 2026 nikkah after Hania jokingly responded to a comment about a “Dopahar Jummah” wedding date.

Reports also claimed the two attended the same Qawwali night in Lahore but avoided being photographed together. Neither has addressed these rumors directly.

Hania continues to dominate Pakistani entertainment. She holds the title of Pakistan’s most followed celebrity on Instagram with over 19 million followers. Her drama Meri Zindagi Hai Tu recently crossed 1.35 billion views on YouTube, making it one of the most watched Pakistani dramas both domestically and internationally.

She also made her Indian Punjabi cinema debut in Sardaar Ji 3, which released on June 27, 2025. While the horror comedy did not get a theatrical release in India, it became a massive hit internationally and in Pakistan, ranking among the highest grossing Punjabi films to date.

Asim Azhar remains active in the music industry with several successful releases keeping him in the public eye.

  • ‘Pakistani mard aur bakwas naa karay?’ Internet in frenzy after Zayn Malik says he was never in love Gigi Hadid

‘Pakistani mard aur bakwas naa karay?’ Internet in frenzy after Zayn Malik says he was never in love Gigi Hadid

Singer Zayn Malik has reignited debate over his past relationship with Gigi Hadid, sending the internet into a frenzy.

Appearing on Alex Cooper’s podcast, Malik, who dated Hadid for six years and has a daughter with her, said he is unsure he ever loved her.

“I don’t feel like it was love,” Malik said when asked if he still stood by a comment he made two years ago.

“I will always love G, because she’s the reason my child is on this Earth, and I have the utmost respect for her. I will always love her, but I don’t know if I was ever IN love with her.”

Malik’s remarks immediately drew reactions online, with users questioning the nature of his past relationship.

Many highlighted the public and personal stakes of his statement as one user wrote, “Relationships with men are a humiliation ritual.”

Another said, “Imagine being in a relationship and having a kid together just for him to say that he was never in love with you. Men are just evil.”

The timing of Malik’s reflection also came under scrutiny. Six years together, a pregnancy and a high-profile breakup were now being reframed as uncertainty over love.

“I’m intrigued by how having a baby daddy sucks regardless of your socioeconomic status,” said one, noting that Hadid’s high profile did not protect her from public scrutiny.

Another said, “I think everybody is forgetting how he was treated in that relationship.”

Some users focused on Hadid’s personal choices during the relationship. “She let her mother into her sacred marriage… that doesn’t end well!! When you get married and have a child, you are now a family. She should have never let anyone into her marriage. Period,” one post read.

Malik’s comments also drew attention from the Pakistani community online, who quickly joined the conversation.

Many users linked his reflections to cultural expectations and identity, noting how aspects of his background might shape public perception.

“British Pakistani men…” one post began, while another added, “You take the man out of Pakistan not Pakistan out the man.” A third wrote, “Pakistani mard ho aur bakwas na karay aisa ho hi nai sakta.”

Another user questioned, “Why do you attribute what he said to his Pakistani genetics and not his British ones? He’s 50% European.”

  • Pakistani brand FOUND came close to dressing Bad Bunny for the Super Bowl

Pakistani brand FOUND came close to dressing Bad Bunny for the Super Bowl

Lahore-based fashion label FOUND has revealed that it was in contention to dress Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny for his Super Bowl halftime performance before the final look was secured by Zara.

Creative director Faraz Zaidi shared the update on Instagram, describing it as an “almost win.” He wrote, “‘Almost’ stories rarely matter. It only counts when you land it.” He added, “We custom-designed sets for Bad Bunny that almost made it to the Super Bowl stage.”

According to the brand, FOUND created a series of custom accessories for the performance. Images shared online showed a white trapper hat, baseball cap and gloves featuring metal floral embroidery, along with leather trapper hats carrying similar detailing.

The brand stated that it had prepared a press release in advance of the halftime show. “We had a press release locked and loaded. Ready to go the second the halftime show hit,” the post read. However, in the final days leading up to the performance, the direction shifted.

FOUND described a tight production timeline, saying artisans in Lahore completed hand embroidery within days before dispatching the pieces internationally. “A box was DHL rushed from Lahore, Pakistan to Santa Clara, California,” the brand wrote. “Somewhere in the final days, the direction shifted. Ultimately, Zara won the bid for the full look. Apparently, they’re fast. Faster than most.”

Bad Bunny appeared at the halftime show in a cream-toned outfit styled by longtime collaborators Storm Pablo and Marvin Douglas Linares. The look included a collared shirt and tie layered under a sports-inspired jersey bearing his family name, Ocasio, and the number 64, paired with chinos and sneakers. The performance marked the first time a halftime headliner delivered an entire set in Spanish. Vogue reported that the collaboration with Spain-based retailer Zara carried symbolic weight.

Explaining why it chose to share the near selection, FOUND wrote, “We chose to share this because social media shouldn’t only be about the wins. There’s near misses that should be equally held. All of the attempts and countless moments that don’t land, but matter all the same. You’ll always miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”

The brand also thanked the artist’s team for the opportunity, stating, “The world is watching what comes next from the artist of our generation who is shaping a global world and all that is possible when you dream it into existence.” Stylist Storm Pablo responded in the comments, thanking the label for the garments.

FOUND has previously created custom pieces for Bad Bunny during his tour. In an earlier post, the brand described the collaboration as an “exchange of cultures, handmade in Lahore, Pakistan by our artisans, where craft carries memory and every stitch holds intention,” and thanked Pablo for the opportunity.

The development comes as Pakistani fashion labels continue to feature in international projects. Raastah by Zain Ahmed has been worn by Anil Kapoor, Barry Keoghan and Justin Bieber, while Palve’s hand-embroidered trousers appeared in Indian rapper Honey Singh’s ‘6 AM’ music video.

  • Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek passes away at 48

Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek passes away at 48

Actor James Van Der Beek, widely recognised for his lead role in the American teen drama Dawson’s Creek, has died at the age of 48 following a battle with bowel cancer.

“Our beloved James David Van Der Beek passed peacefully this morning,” his family said in a statement shared on his social media accounts. “He met his final days with courage, faith, and grace.”

The actor had been diagnosed in the latter half of 2023, though he chose to make the news public in November 2024. He was a father of six and a familiar face on television and film during the late 1990s and early 2000s, earning widespread fame for his portrayal of Dawson Leery in Dawson’s Creek, which aired from 1998 to 2003. He also starred in the 1999 coming-of-age film Varsity Blues.

Speaking to Business Insider in August 2025, Van Der Beek said he initially noticed changes in his bowel movements — a common warning sign of colorectal cancer. At first, he stopped drinking coffee to see if his symptoms would improve, before eventually undergoing a screening test.

The test revealed stage three cancer, meaning the disease had spread to nearby lymph nodes.

Medical experts note that colorectal cancer affects more men than women. However, improved screening practices have contributed to earlier detection and a decline in mortality rates.

Van Der Beek previously described the emotional toll of his treatment, calling his “lowest point” the sense that he was losing the parts of himself he most identified with.

“All these beautiful things that I love, and I used to define myself as – a father, a provider, a husband – all that got taken away, or at least paused,” he said. “I had to sit there and say, ‘Well, what am I?’ And it was, ‘I’m still worthy of love.’”

After going public with his diagnosis, he became an advocate for cancer screening and awareness.

“I’ve learned a lot,” he told Business Insider. “If I can save anyone from having to go through this, that’s magic.”

Beyond Dawson’s Creek and Varsity Blues, Van Der Beek appeared in several other projects over the years. He played a fictionalised version of himself in the cult comedy series Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 and competed on the 28th season of Dancing with the Stars.

Despite his diagnosis, he continued to work. Earlier this year, he made a guest appearance in the Prime Video college comedy Overcompensating, remaining active in the industry while undergoing treatment.

  • ‘He was pushing girls and children’: Asim Azhar clarifies viral concert video slamming bouncer

‘He was pushing girls and children’: Asim Azhar clarifies viral concert video slamming bouncer

Singer Asim Azhar has addressed a video from one of his recent concerts that went viral on social media, showing him appearing visibly upset on stage.

Taking to Instagram, the singer said he does not usually post justifications but felt compelled to clarify the situation before “misinformation spreads further.”

The singer explained that the individual he confronted, widely assumed to be a fan, was actually part of the security team. “In the video where I am apparently addressing a ‘fan,’ it is not a fan. The person was a bouncer, part of the security team,” Asim said.

He added that during the show, the security staffer was pushing members of the crowd, including girls and children.

“Throughout the show, he was only showing off to the crowd, to girls and kids, and behaving weirdly. Before I could say anything, he jumped onto the stage. When I addressed him, he started yelling, ‘I am a bouncer.’ I got really triggered. If you are a bouncer, do your job. You were pushing kids and then came on stage trying to show you are superior to everyone else.”

Asim admitted he reacted in the moment but stressed that he will always call out behaviour he sees as inappropriate. “I’m sorry, but I will always call out behaviour like this in my shows. Maybe next time I will be calmer, but I still will,” he said.

He also apologised if anyone felt offended but clarified that the confrontation was not directed at a fan.

“If anyone got upset, I apologise. But no, it was not a fan, and this was the reason. With that being said, I just want all my fans to feel safe, heard, and seen by me and my team when they attend a show. Sorry if I got carried away with my emotions, but it was necessary,” he added.

The viral clip sparked mixed reactions online. Some social media users criticised Asim’s tone, while others defended him, noting that artists have a responsibility to ensure crowd safety.

Asim Azhar has been in the limelight for other reasons. His song Meri Zindagi Hai Tu has been gaining immense popularity and is the official soundtrack of Hania Aamir’s hit drama, which has also found a following in India.

The singer has been in the news due to rumours surrounding an alleged relationship with actress Hania Aamir, keeping fans and the media intrigued.
