‘Say no to bombing babies’; Bryan Adams slams Israel in concert

Canadian rock singer Bryan Adams closed his recent concert in Dublin, Ireland, with a song in support of Palestinians in Gaza, who are enduring an Israeli-led genocide.

Music and creative consultant Suzanne Doyle shared a clip from the concert on her Instagram post and commended the singer: “Thanks @bryanadams  #EndGazaGenocide by #ApartheidIsrael CONTACT YR LOCAL GOV REP NOW”

In the video, recorded during his concert, Bryan Adams, after finishing Straight From The Heart, which he had initially said would be his final song of the night, stopped his keyboardist, Gary Breit, from leaving the stage. After a brief exchange, Adams turned to face the crowd.

“I’m really so proud of you, the Irish, for standing up for human rights,” he told the audience. “Here [in Ireland], it’s one of the few places that says f**king no to bombing babies.”

He then introduced Native Son, a rarely performed track from his 1987 album, explaining its relevance to the ongoing genocide in Gaza. “This song is about people stealing other people’s land,” he said, while drawing parallels between the plight of Native Americans and Palestinians. His remarks were met with loud applause, followed by a profound silence as he began to play the song.

    Fans online praised the singer:

“Thank you, such a brave soul ❤”

“I’m really proud of you, Bryan. Thank you for using your massive platform for Palestine “

“This right here is a true artist and a true legend!”

“OMG! I LOVE BRYAN EVEN MORE! I’m literally on the verge of tears!”

Nadia Khan reveals her surprising link to AVM Aurangzeb Ahmed

TV host Nadia Khan has revealed a surprising personal connection to Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed, the Pakistan Air Force hero behind Operation Bunyan Um Marsoos, and also shared an unexpected foodie recommendation: the jalebi at his house is a must-try.

Speaking on her morning show on a private TV channel, Nadia shared that AVM Aurangzeb is a close friend of her husband, Faisal Rao. She also showed a photo from 1989, where Faisal and Aurangzeb are seen together with friends at a recreational spot.

“When I married Faisal in 2021, he told me he had three brothers,” Nadia recalled. “Then he said, ‘I have one more: Aurangzeb. He’s a great fighter pilot.’ They used to talk on the phone for hours. When I finally met him, I was truly impressed. His wife is a graceful woman, and their children are very sharp. And if you haven’t eaten jalebi at their house, then you haven’t really eaten!”

Nadia added that when she met “Aurangzeb Bhai” for the first time, he spoke only about Pakistan. “He is a loving and caring man. Faisal always says, ‘I don’t want my son to be like me, I want him to be like Aurangzeb.’”

While many online found Nadia’s revelations touching and unexpected, others were more critical.

One user commented, “No one remembers you in failure. After success, everyone becomes your relative.”

Another wrote, “Don’t you have any recent pictures with him?”

A sarcastic remark read, “Does Aurangzeb Sir know your husband chats with him for hours?”

One said, “Just give Nadia an award she always finds a reason to stay in the spotlight.”

  • ‘Live and let live’; Iffat Omar slams Fahad Mustafa’s take on family vloggers

‘Live and let live’; Iffat Omar slams Fahad Mustafa’s take on family vloggers

Senior actress Iffat Omar addressed Fahad Mustafa’s remarks about YouTubers in a recent interview, offering the actor-producer some advice.

In March, while referring to family vloggers in an interview, Fahad stated that he “can never be part of a process like selling their family.” The comment sparked backlash from content creators, including YouTuber Rajab Butt, who said he couldn’t respect a senior who doesn’t value others’ work.

Addressing his statement, Iffat Omar said, “Everyone has the right to achieve fame, no matter the method. We move with the times; we don’t live in the past. Everyone should have the freedom to do what they want.”

Directly addressing Fahad Mustafa, she added, “You are the highest-paid actor in this country. You don’t need to compete with anyone. Don’t measure fame by your wealth. Stay in your place, don’t criticise others, live and let live.”

Discussing the evolution of the entertainment industry, Iffat said, “People’s thinking has changed. Today’s actors live better lives than those in the past. Back then, when a woman said she was an actress, people would ask, ‘What else do you do?’ and many men weren’t willing to marry actresses. That mindset has changed now.”

On the issue of gender pay disparity, she commented, “There isn’t much difference in remuneration anymore. Women are paid well, and even if there’s a gap, it balances out because women get more advertisement work.”

She added, “If Fahad Mustafa charges more per ad, Mahira Khan makes up the difference by doing more campaigns, so it evens out.”

  • Did Nadia Hussain’s husband get bail? Here’s what happened in court

Did Nadia Hussain’s husband get bail? Here’s what happened in court

The Additional District and Sessions Judge (South) has reserved the verdict on the bail plea of Atif Khan, husband of actress Nadia Hussain, in a high-profile Rs530 million bank fraud case.

The verdict is expected to be announced on May 22.

Police allege that Atif Khan misused Rs530 million belonging to the Chief Executive Officer of a private company for personal business purposes.

    Earlier,

Renowned actress and model Nadia Hussain told the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) that she had no knowledge of any fraud involving her husband, Atif Khan, who is currently in FIA custody.

According to ARY News, Nadia gave her statement during a two-hour session with the FIA. She said her husband gave her money to start and expand her salon and spa business, but she never questioned where the money came from.

“I was never part of any fraud,” Nadia said.

She explained that her business is registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), and the money received from her husband was shown as a loan in her tax returns.

The FIA questioned Nadia about money transfers between her husband’s accounts and those of her salon. Investigators believe she received Rs26.4 million from her husband’s accounts, which was used to run her two salons. These transfers reportedly occurred 19 times since 2019.

The FIA claims Atif Khan misused Rs540 million from the company he worked for, causing a total loss of Rs1.2 billion. He allegedly passed off business losses to the bank and used over Rs110 million for personal expenses.

Nadia’s statement has been added to the case file, and she has been named a major beneficiary in the investigation.

Yasir Hussain hits back at Nadia Khan, says she’s ‘10 points ahead of Arnab Goswami’

Actor Yasir Hussain has fired back at Nadia Khan after she criticized his new drama Paradise, saying the actress is currently “10 points ahead of Arnab Goswami.”

The clash began when Nadia Khan reviewed Paradise on her show Kya Drama Hai, giving it just 4 out of 10. She criticized the plot, characters, and scenes, calling it a weak production.

The show regularly features senior actresses, including Nadia Khan, who critique ongoing Pakistani dramas.

In response, Yasir Hussain shared his thoughts on Instagram Stories, writing, “Numbers mean nothing. Don’t listen to the critics watch the drama yourself.”

He continued, “I give Nadia Khan 1.5 marks for her entire drama career and 2.5 marks for hosting.”

Then came a sharp jab, “These days, Nadia Khan is 10 points ahead of Arnab Goswami.”

The reference to Arnab Goswami, a controversial Indian TV anchor known for his loud, biased, and often Islamophobic commentary, quickly sparked reactions online. Goswami is infamous for promoting anti-Muslim and anti-Pakistan narratives, particularly during moments of heightened tensions between the two countries.

A screenshot of Yasir’s story went viral, with many social media users supporting his comeback and criticizing Nadia Khan’s review.

In recent weeks, Nadia Khan has come under fire for using harsh language and adopting an overly aggressive tone while commenting on Pakistani celebrities and their admiration for Bollywood. Yasir Hussain’s sarcastic comparison to Goswami appears to be a direct jab at her recent behavior.
