This 2016 prediction about Neelam Muneer just became reality

A surprising prediction made in 2016 about actress Neelam Muneer has come true nearly eight years later.

During her recent appearance on a TV show, a throwback clip from 2016 was played, in which astrologer Agha Beheshti made a prediction about her future.

“Neelam Muneer will get married in an Arab country, possibly to someone from Dubai or the Gulf, and may even settle there permanently,” he had said.

The host reminded viewers that this prediction was made during Neelam’s previous appearance on the same show, where the late comedian Umer Sharif was also present.

At the time, Neelam had confidently dismissed the prediction, saying, “That’s not possible. I have no intention of ever leaving Pakistan.”

In 2024, however, in a surprising turn of events, Neelam tied the knot with a Pakistani man working in the CID department of Dubai Police and has since moved to Dubai.

‘Order some brain too’; Fawad Chaudhry mocks Adnan Sami over Indian flag earphones

Pakistan’s former Minister of Information Fawad Chaudhry took a sarcastic jab at singer Adnan Sami after he flaunted his new custom in-ear monitors with the Indian flag.

Adnan Sami, who renounced his Pakistani citizenship in 2016 and now resides in Mumbai, shared a picture on X (formerly Twitter) showcasing the earphones he uses for live performances.

“Just received my customised ‘In Ear Monitors’ from @ultimateearspro in USA for my live concerts! These are my 2nd pair & they sound incredible…They made this design with the Indian flag especially upon my request,” he wrote.

Reacting to this, Fawad Chaudhry commented, “Order Some Brain as well, Ears pro is too little for you.”

This isn’t the first time Fawad has trolled the singer.

Last month, when the Indian government ordered Pakistani citizens to leave the country due to rising tensions, Fawad had asked, “What about Adnan Sami?”

Adnan Sami didn’t stay quiet. In response, he called Fawad an “illiterate idiot.”

“To think that you were Minister of (Mis) Information and have no knowledge of any information… And you were Minister of Science?” Adnan said in his reply.

  • ‘I was wrong’; Mahira Khan finally opens up about rift with Khalil ur Rehman Qamar

‘I was wrong’; Mahira Khan finally opens up about rift with Khalil ur Rehman Qamar

Superstar Mahira Khan has finally broken her silence on her long-standing rift with controversial writer Khalil ur Rehman Qamar. Mahira not only addressed the issue but also admitted her own mistake.

Clarifying the nature of their relationship in a podcast with Ahmed Ali Butt, Mahira said, “We were never close friends, but our joint project Sadqay Tumhare was a journey we completed with love and sincerity.”

When asked if she believed she was also at fault, Mahira candidly admitted, “Yes, I was wrong. I should have messaged him directly instead of tweeting about it. He is absolutely right.”

She explained that she had been busy shooting for Neelofar when she came across late-night news involving Qamar’s alleged misconduct with a woman. Without checking the full context, Mahira reacted impulsively. “I just wanted to raise my voice against injustice,” she said, adding that her emotionally charged tweet escalated into a major controversy.

Mahira also credited her mother for helping her reflect on the situation. “My mom made me realize I should have communicated directly, especially when it involved a senior artist,” she shared. According to Mahira, her mother advised her to express her opinion in an interview instead of social media. “You can disagree while still maintaining respect,” she quoted her mother as saying.

In the same interview, Mahira responded to repeated criticism from veteran actor Firdous Jamal, who has said she no longer fits lead roles. Mahira reflected on how such comments affected her early in her career but said she has grown stronger over time.

“When you’re just a little bit successful, people support you. But once you become very successful, those same people feel insecure and start speaking against you,” she observed.

She also mentioned that some people criticize her without even knowing her personally. Recalling the time of Punjab Nahi Jaungi’s release, Mahira said it was difficult dealing with criticism from within the industry. “It was a tough time,” she added.

Mahira Khan is set to appear alongside Humayun Saeed in the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha release Love Guru, a film eagerly awaited by her fans.

Mahira Khan harassed at Love Guru’s meet-and-greet in London

Pakistani star actor Mahira Khan has been physically harassed at a promotional event for her upcoming movie ‘Love Guru’ in London, videos on social media showed.

As per the details, the actor had arrived at the Indo-Pak Supermarket store in Ilford town of London along with co-star Humayun Saeed when she was physically harassed by at least three people amid the security’s failure to control the crowd.

Sources privy to the incident told The Current that Mahira was harassed by a security guard and at least two more people inside the store after she entered the store after a lot of scuffle and mismanagement. The two people inside the store touched her inappropriately.

“It happened when she was trying to make her way to the terrace to wave at fans as part of the promotional event,” sources said.

The sources added that the actor seemed visibly shaken besides also being reluctant to go forth with the event due to the display of Indian flags at the venue amid tensions between the two neighbouring countries.

However, they claimed, the event went on as planned as the actors had already been paid for the meet-and-greet session.

Meanwhile, people familiar with the matter said that the store paid £5,000 for the appearance but no money was paid to the actor.

A source close to the actor said, “She signed up to promote the film. She has not taken any money for the appearance. She agreed to attend the event for the film promotion. What happened there was shocking.”

It merits a mention that videos on social media had also shown Mahira and Humayun waving at fans from the store’s terrace.

Details of the incident unfolded only after subsequent videos showed a visibly uncomfortable Mahira trying to make her way into the store surrounded by a huge crowd.

The sources said that Mahira immediately launched protest with organisers of the event and shared her sadness and shock with them.

According to reports, at least one female reporter from a private media outlet was also harassed at the event. She also called the police and registered a complaint.

A statement from the actor or organisers is awaited.

  • Love Guru looks like an expensive production but it’s budget will blow your mind

Love Guru looks like an expensive production but it’s budget will blow your mind

Pakistani film industry’s leading actor and producer Humayun Saeed has revealed the budget of his upcoming film, the highly anticipated Love Guru.

The romantic comedy, set to release on Eid-ul-Adha 2025, is directed by Nadeem Baig and written by Wasay Chaudhry. The film stars Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed in lead roles.

The story follows a self-proclaimed love guru and a London-based architect named Sophia. The film has been shot in both London and Karachi.

Humayun Saeed is currently in the United States with Mahira Khan to promote the film. When asked about the film’s budget, he shared: “The budget is not that big — we have spent Rs 28 crore on this film. It’s a Pakistani film, so this amount is nothing compared to Bollywood. The budget of our dramas, which you watch regularly, is also very limited.”

He then confidently added, “Don’t talk about the budget, just tell me how good the quality is! After watching the film, it should feel like it is worth 100 crores even if the budget is 30 crores!”

His remarks won the hearts of fans, who praised him and noted that Pakistani dramas are among the best in the world and continue to deliver exceptional quality despite limited budgets.

Humayun Saeed also addressed a pressing issue in the Pakistani film industry: the shortage of cinema screens.

“We need more screens so that the business can grow. The films that did well, like Maula Jatt, Jawani Phir Nahi Aani 2, Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad, Punjab Nahi Jaungi, and London Nahi Jaunga, were only released on 100 to 120 screens. Just imagine what could happen if we had 500 or even 1,000 screens.”
