In the 10th match of HBL Pakistan Super League 9, Karachi Kings defeats Lahore Qalandars by two wickets in a close encounter.

Karachi King’s captain Shan Masood won the toss and invited Lahore Qalandars to bat.

Lahore opener Sahibzada Farhan played an unbeaten innings of 72 runs off 45 balls, Sahibzada Farhan’s innings included 4 sixes and 4 fours. Apart from them, George Landa remained unbeaten with 26 runs, Reci van der Dawson also scored 26 runs. Shai Hope scored 21 runs and Jahandad Khan scored 12 runs.

Mir Hamzah, Hasan Ali and Tabriz Shamsi took 2 wickets each for Karachi Kings. Lahore Qalandars scored 175 runs for 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Chasing the target of 176, Karachi Kings lost early two wicket on the total of 44 runs, but Kerion Pollard and Shoaib Malik made a partnership of 95 runs. Pollard scored 53 runs while Shoaib Malik scored 39 runs.

In the last over Karachi needed 11 runs and Hassan ali hit a six on first ball of the last over and Karachi Kings mange to win the match on the last ball of the 20th over.

From Lahore, Zaman Khan and Ahsan Hafeez took two wickets each.

Cricketers participating in the ninth season of Pakistan Super League (PSL) have received payments with most getting 70 percent of the amount under the contract. PSL is one of the few leagues in the world where the players don’t have to worry about payments.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) initially created a system where the players are paid instead of the franchises, and the calculations are done later.

This time too, 70 percent payments have been paid to the cricketers. According to the agreement, the rest of the money will be paid after the league is over, while most of the players have been paid a daily allowance of 50 dollars, the dollar rate has been fixed at 281, so each player is getting 14 thousand rupees per day, and the amount of the subsequent matches will also be paid when the teams of the playoff stage are decided.

Peshawar Zalmi scored 179 runs for the loss of 8 players in the given 20 overs, Haseebullah scored 37 runs and Babar Azam played an innings of 31 runs. Apart from this, Powell 23, Mohammad Haris 19, Powell Walter 1, Asif Ali scored 13 runs while Luke Wood remained unbeaten with 17 runs.

On behalf of Multan Sultans, David willy, Muhammad Ali and Osama Mir dismissed 2 players each while Shah Nawaz Durmani and Abbas Afridi took one wicket each.

Multan Sultan’s inning

Chasing Peshawar Zalmi’s target of 180 runs, Multan Sultan’s team was bowled out for 174 runs in the allotted 20 overs. David Mallan was top scored with 52 runs on 25 balls. After 19 overs, Multan Sultan needed 22 runs in the last over. Iftikhar made the match interesting by hitting two fours and a six, but he was caught behind the stumps by wicketkeeper Muhammad Haris. On the last ball, Shahnawaz Dahani was also bowled out, and Zalmi won the match by 5 runs. 

From Zalmi’s side, Arif Yaqoob took three wickets, while Luke Wood, Salman Irshad, and Naveen ul Haq dismissed two players each.

A series of five T20 matches between Pakistan and New Zealand is scheduled to be played in April. The T20 series is likely to be held between April 13 and 23, and the cricket boards of both countries have started discussions about arrangements.

Sources say that the five T20 matches between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played in Lahore and Rawalpindi.

Multan Sultan’s fast bowler Olly Stone has been ruled out of HBL Pakistan Super League season 9.

Earlier fast bowler Reece Topley was ruled out of the Sultan’s squad and Olly Stone had joined in replacement of Reece Topley. Now PSL franchise Multan Sultan has confirmed that Olly Stone has been ruled of the squad due to an injury in his groin and Multan Sultans will apply for his replacement in due course.

Islamabad United scored 138 runs for 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs, Agha Salman scored 33 runs, Faheem Ashraf, Colin Munro scored 20 runs each and Jordan Kaz scored 19 runs.

Apart from this, Imad Wasim scored 9, Shadab Khan 2 and Azam Khan scored 1 run.

On behalf of Quetta Gladiators, Muhammad Wasim and Abrar Ahmed took 3, 3 wickets, Aqeel Hussain took 2 wickets and Muhammad Hasnain took one wicket.

The Gladiators team easily achieved the target of 139 in the 19th over for the loss of 7 wickets. Jason Roy 37 and Riley Rossow played an innings of 34 runs. Sherfane Rutherford scored 29 while Muhammad Amir scored 11 runs.

From Islamabad United Naseem Shah and Shadab khan took two wickets each.

India scored 212 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs, given Pakistan a target of 213 runs to win,

Indian captain Dargah Rao scored 61 runs and Venkateshwara Rao scored 49 runs.
