  • Terrorists demand prisoner exchange for releasing atomic energy workers

Terrorists demand prisoner exchange for releasing atomic energy workers

Prominent journalist Azaz Syed revealed on Wednesday that Fitna Al Khawarij, commonly known as Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), allegedly kidnapped 17 workers of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Lakki Marwat district on January 9.

Speaking on the YouTube channel Talk SHOCK, Syed disclosed that the Khawarij are demanding the release of their members from the Law Enforcement Agency (LEA) and police in exchange for the PAEC workers’ release.

On January 9, 17 PAEC workers, including a coach driver, were abducted at gunpoint in KP’s Lakki Marwat district.

District police spokesperson Shahid Marwat had said, “Around 9am on Thursday, 17 workers, including a driver, involved in a mining project were travelling in a minibus when they were stopped and taken away at gunpoint by some men on Dara Tang Road in Lakki Marwat.”

Hours after the incident, videos purportedly showing the abducted workers surfaced on social media, with the workers appealing to the government to meet the militants’ demands for their release.

According to Syed, Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) member Naseer Turab was involved in reconciliation efforts with the Khawarij and the government to secure the release of the PAEC workers.

Meanwhile, Syed claimed that Pakistan allegedly conducted an airstrike on the terrorists’ hideout, where the PAEC workers were being held captive.

The journalist stated that the Khawarij handed over the dead body of a PAEC worker, along with a driver who was still alive. The terrorists claimed the death was the result of the alleged airstrike.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has not issued any statement regarding the targeting of these hideouts.

According to Dawn News, the deceased was a contract worker for PAEC named Rehanullah, whose body was found in the rugged terrain of the remote Zareefwaal area in Lakki Marwat district on Saturday.

After medico-legal formalities at the hospital, Rehanullah’s body was handed over to his relatives. He was laid to rest in a local graveyard, and his funeral prayers were attended by a large number of people from across the district.

On Monday, thousands of people protested against the delay in the safe recovery of the abducted PAEC workers in front of the main gate of the District Headquarters Complex, Lakki Marwat.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat also participated in the protest, urging people to set aside political affiliations and unite for peace.

Later, one of the speakers, Naseer Turab, warned that if the terrorists did not release the hostages within three days, the tribesmen would come out with weapons and “launch an action” against them.

  • Chloe Kelly Seeks Exit from Manchester City After Negative Behavior

Chloe Kelly Seeks Exit from Manchester City After Negative Behavior

Chloe Kelly has provided insight into her viewpoint. She highlighted significant details about why she believes Manchester City is not the right place for her in the future and made a point of highlighting the harassment she has encountered.

The 27-year-old forward has only made six appearances in the current Women’s Super League season, starting just one game and finding herself on the sidelines again.

Manchester City is reportedly willing to let Kelly leave the team because they have already received an offer for her. The women’s transfer period ends on Thursday.

In an open statement on social media, Chloe Kelly admitted that her contract ends with the current season. I advise you to save energy and engage in reasonable combat, even though this may be hard for some people to comprehend. Contentious public discussions have never attracted me. However, concerning my predicament, which has been the center of debate lately, I now feel a shift in my situation. Therefore, I choose to speak.

This critical insight helps me understand that I have some mitigating control over negative behaviors that others might direct at me. I get to choose how long I will deem such behaviour tolerable. My teammates and fans have received tremendous support since the first day in the league. Now that my contract runs out in June, I know my future is beyond that bookmark.

Chloe Kelly posted on social media on Wednesday night that she was “no longer prepared to tolerate” the “negative behavior” she had been shown and that she would “be open and transparent” about her future. “Having my contract end in June has made it clear to me that I will be moving on from this club that same month,” she stated.

In the statement, Chloe Kelly hinted that “our dreams can be crushed while we live in silence,” adding that she “just wants to be happy again.”

The city is open to letting Chloe Kelly play elsewhere to ensure minutes are on the pitch. Still, sources close to the club insist they had only one appropriate offer as of Wednesday night, ahead of the transfer season closing on Thursday.

Kelly began her career at Arsenal, then spent five years at Everton before joining City in 2020. She was a squad member who won the FA Cup in 2020 and the League Cup in 2022 and has started 12 games during Gareth Taylor’s team’s season, with only four as a starter.

  • Honda Recalls 295,000 Cars for Software Error That May Cause Engine Power Loss

Honda Recalls 295,000 Cars for Software Error That May Cause Engine Power Loss

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that a software flaw in the fuel injection electronic control unit may cause them to stall or lose power. It led to about 295,000 Honda recalls.

The NHTSA announced that the recall affects selected vehicles manufactured between 2022 and 2025 for Acura MDX Type-S, 2023 and 2025 for Honda Pilot, and 2021 and 2025 for Acura TLX Type-S. Some issues that may arise from improperly programmed FI-ECUs include unexpected changes in acceleration response that could activate the check engine light. It could then result in a power loss in the engine, disabling, or stalling, which can all increase the chances of an accident.

“The engine power could get lost, stall, or hesitate during sudden changes in throttle, and these risks could turn the check engine light on,” stated American Honda Motor Co. The company plans to mail all registered owners of these vehicles in question in March 2025 to seek the necessary treatment from the great Honda or Acura dealerships. We will upgrade the software free of charge.

According to American Honda, no verified reports of collisions or injuries have been connected to this problem yet. The company actively reviewed the telematics information, guiding the decision to perform this recall. Vehicle owners can choose whether or not their cars are part of the recall by visiting the official websites or calling customer service.

“The updated fuel-injection electronic control unit software was applied to production in mid-January,” stated Jake Berg. He is Acura’s public relations officer. This proves that the business has taken enthusiastic measures to resolve the issues that resulted from monitoring and reporting. The emphasis remains on the safety measurement of the vehicles put out by Honda.

This recent recall follows other devilish recalls mid-last year when Honda took unsafe action against millions of its vehicles. Steering and fuel pump defects cost Honda almost 1.7 million units.

Honda has a significant impact on the sales scale in the United States. Models such as the Honda CR-V and Civic are some of the most popular vehicles. However, this means that the car manufacturer will have to tread carefully concerning the car safety standards set after all the scrutiny over automotive Honda recalls in the industry.

The Honda recalls are a testament to the brand’s recent changes in adopting proactive safety strategies and reflecting broader patterns in the automotive industry. Honda and most large automakers acknowledge that innovation and consumer safety should coexist in light of advancements like these.

Honda prioritizes regular updates for car owners as it moves forward. It ensures that nothing prevents the customer from meeting the required safety standards. While consumers may temporarily question the integrity of their favorites, the coming electric vehicle models further portray Honda’s highly detailed commitment to prospects.

The automotive market is under pressure to keep the industry moving. Thus, the Honda recalls remind manufacturers of their challenges and responsibilities. Safety remains a priority in this complex software-driven problem as manufacturers navigate it.

To reduce the risk of recalls, owners are advised to act as soon as they receive notifications about Honda recalls and to stay up to date on vehicle updates at all times.

  • Fr. Calvin Robinson Gives an Unexpected Salute to Elon Musk

Fr. Calvin Robinson Gives an Unexpected Salute to Elon Musk

The priest Calvin Robinson was expelled from his church after he tried to imitate the “salute” that Elon Musk was performing at the rally for former President Donald Trump. “This is the last stand for Christendom,” Father Calvin Robinson warned everyone as he discussed his speech at the National Pro-Life Summit event in Washington. This was attended by a UK far-right leader, according to the Daily Mail.

His warning was: “We are on the making or breaking side of a huge movement. Everything is being destroyed, old world, as we know it. All of Europe is supporting the concept of death. America, as far as I can see, is the only country fighting for life.”

After completing his speech, Calvin Robinson was shown imitating Musk’s gesture by raising his arm. Several people have deemed it controversial. Many were quick to judge this and have compared it to a Nazi salute.

This moment has drawn much attention online after a Right Winger Watch posted it on X. So far, it has reached more than 1.3 million views. He was known to be a priest from the Anglican Catholic Church. This community differs from the Roman Catholic Church as they still practice traditional Christian morals.

In a statement posted on the homepage, the church mentioned Calvin Robinson’s action and said that his ACC membership had been cancelled. The Church explains, “Even though we can’t read Robinson’s mind when he was doing this, we can deduce that his action was an effort to get sympathy from the right side of American politics by garnering the opposite reaction.” He was warned that specific actions are inappropriate for priests and asked to stop.

Their remarks continue, “There is no doubt that he has not, and as a result, his license in the Church has been rescinded. He has ceased to function as a priest in the ACC.”

Same as how Musk Elon was criticised for his gesture. Calvin Robinson did the same and even was put on the same level of comparison as the Nazis because of the video that was shared on X. Robinson did tweet the video on Wednesday, claiming that he got hit with hundreds of texts, voicemails, emails, and phone calls that were disgusting from leftist people who seemed very angry.

“He is often an example of everything he claims you to be,” Calvin Robinson wrote. “I am not a Nazi. But you have my forgiveness for your ignorance.”

Calvin Robinson then released a lengthy explanation on Wednesday night about his post o X regarding his joke “mocking the hysterical supplement fans calling Elon Musk a Nazi for quite obviously showing the audience which side of history he was on.”

“My attempt at dry wit, done in that very British style, was neither a joke of World War II nor an admission to be a member of the National Socialist Party. That would be quite an ignorant and flawed faith assumption to make. However, the reactions are telling: those who can see cheer, while those who do not want to witness the use of pitchforks protest.

Station House Officer (SHO) Babar Baloch stated that the incident occurred on Monday night in Quetta. Initially, the suspect claimed that an unidentified armed man had shot his daughter. However, during police questioning, he confessed to the crime.

  • Alibaba unveils new AI model Qwen 2.5, claims it beats DeepSeek

Alibaba unveils new AI model Qwen 2.5, claims it beats DeepSeek

Chinese tech giant Alibaba has launched a new version of its artificial intelligence (AI) model, Qwen 2.5. The company claims that this updated model has surpassed DeepSeek-V, a popular AI model.

According to reports, Alibaba released Qwen 2.5 on the first day of the Lunar New Year, a time when most Chinese people are on holiday with their families. This unusual timing may have been influenced by the recent rise of DeepSeek, a Chinese startup that has been making waves in the AI industry over the past few weeks. DeepSeek has not only gained global attention but has also created competition among local AI developers.

Alibaba’s cloud division announced on its official WeChat account that Qwen 2.5 Max has outperformed several major AI models, including GPT-4.0, DeepSeek-V3, and LLaMA 3.1-405B. These models were developed by leading AI companies such as OpenAI and Meta.

Since its launch on January 10, DeepSeek’s AI assistant has gained massive popularity. It quickly became the top-rated free app on Apple’s App Store in the United States, surpassing ChatGPT. This unexpected success has raised concerns among American tech companies.

The rise of DeepSeek has pushed other Chinese AI companies to upgrade their models. Just two days after DeepSeek’s launch, ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, released an update for its flagship AI model. ByteDance claimed that its new AI, called AIM-E, performed better than Microsoft-backed OpenAI in several benchmark tests.

With fierce competition in the AI industry, companies are racing to develop better and more advanced models. Alibaba’s Qwen 2.5 is the latest example of this ongoing battle for AI supremacy.
