    The captain of Peshawar Zalmi scored an unbeaten century in the match against Islamabad United in HBL PSL 9. In this match, Babar Azam scored 111 runs off 63 balls.

    Javed Afridi had said that he will gift a MG HS Essence car to Babar Azam and Babar will be this first one to drive this car, which is made in Pakistan.

    On Monday, Javed Afridi fulfilled his promise and handed over the car keys to Babar Azam.

    Babar Azam has also become the first Asian cricketer to hit 400 boundaries in T20 Internationals, alongside crossing the milestone of 400 boundaries in T20 Internationals.

    Earlier, Ireland’s Paul Stirling hit 407 fours in T20 Internationals.

    Pakistan cricket team star batsman Babar Azam has revealed that when the team lost to Afghanistan in the ODI World Cup 2023, under his captaincy, he couldn’t sleep.

    “That match was very painful for me because losing to Afghanistan in the World Cup was very disappointing. Afghanistan played very good cricket in this match and we could not give such a performance but we tried.”

    The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to change the captain of the T20 national cricket team, reappointing Babar Azam as the new captain for the T20 series against New Zealand, Geo News had reported.

    Babar Azam met Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi last night after the selection committee recommended his name for the captaincy.

    According to sources, preparations for the World Cup and the previous series were discussed in the meeting.

    Mohsin Naqvi had tasked the National Selection Committee for suggestions and recommendations regarding the captaincy.

    In November last year, former Chairman Management Committee Zaka Ashraf removed Babar Azam from the captaincy, after which Shaheen Afridi was appointed as the captain of T20 and Shan Masood as the captain of Test format.
