While the red areas on the map depicted Trump supporters from all around the world, the tweet went viral for other reasons.
Trump Jr made more than one critical error in the map. He confused India with Iran, showed the Caspian Sea, Black Sea, Azov Sea, Aral Sea, and Antarctica as countries, while many other Asian countries as water bodies.
It got more exciting when Indians realised that the entire Kashmir region had actually been shown as part of Pakistan. Trump’s map showed India in blue, while Jammu and Kashmir in red along with Pakistan, depicting support for Donald Trump.
The tweet left Indian Twitterati going crazy as they criticised Trump Jr over “wrong; depiction of geographical boundaries”.
Some politicians also pulled in. Congress leader Shashi Tharoor took a dig at the Modi government and ridiculed the prime minister’s “bromance” with Trump.

This is the second time in recent days when Pakistan’s new political map has gained international recognition. Last week, Saudi Arabia issued a celebratory banknote of 20 Riyals, showing Kashmir as part of Pakistan.
A lawyer, who is allegedly a supporter of opposition’s Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has submitted an application seeking the registration of a treason case against Federal Science and Technology Minister Fawad Chaudhry over the latter’s Pulwama remarks from last week.
According to reports, the application has been submitted to Civil Lines police station in Lahore by Advocate Rohail Asghar, a picture of whom with PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz has now gone viral over the internet.
Fawad had in a faux pas on the floor of the National Assembly last week mentioned 2019’s Pulwama attack in held Kashmir, which had killed 40 paramilitary troops and brought the two countries to the brink of war.
Speaking of Pakistan’s swift response to its air space being violated by India following the said terrorist attack, Fawad had mistakenly named Pulwama, drawing strong reactions.
While Pakistanis had called out the minister for carelessly making the statement that he went on to clarify later on, Indians, including Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi and several journalists, had added fuel to fire by extensively reporting it.

In a formal statement, the minister had said that the Indian media “acted with gross irresponsibility by misrepresenting the context of the speech” he delivered during a session of the National Assembly.
Wednesday’s development comes as a series of treason cases between members of the government and opposition continues.
Last week, former National Assembly speaker Ayaz Sadiq had landed in hot water for his remarks regarding Abhinandan’s release by Pakistan soon after he was captured.

A 27-year-old chartered accountant has registered a complaint against her husband accusing him of cheating her by hiding his baldness.
As per reports, the case was registered against the man under Sections 406 and 500 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Naya Nagar Police Station in Thane based on the woman’s complaint.
She alleged that her husband’s family did not tell that he is bald. The 27-year-old said that her husband had been wearing a wig and if she knew he was bald she wouldn’t have married him two years ago.
The woman claimed that she got to know about her husband’s baldness a day after the marriage and when she reached out to her in-laws they did not consider it as a serious matter.
The man has filed a petition in a Thane court which asked him to surrender before the police.
Pakistan has rejected the Indian Ministry of External Affairs’ irresponsible and unwarranted statement regarding Gilgit-Baltistan.
A Foreign Ministry statement said India has no legal, moral or historical standing on the issue.
“For more than 73 years, India has been in illegal and forcible occupation of parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Regurgitation of false and fabricated claims by India can neither change the facts nor divert attention from India’s illegal actions and continuing humanitarian crisis resulting from the perpetration of the worst human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied valley,” the statement said.
Pakistan’s position on the Jammu & Kashmir dispute remains firmly anchored in the relevant United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Resolutions, it said, adding that the final resolution of the Jammu & Kashmir dispute was only possible through the exercise of the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination by holding free and impartial plebiscite under the auspices of the UN.
“Administrative, political and economic reforms are a long-standing demand of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan. The envisaged provisional reforms reflect the aspirations of the indigenous populace of Gilgit-Baltistan,” it said.
Pakistan called upon India to immediately end its illegal and forcible occupation of parts of Jammu and Kashmir and “comply with its international obligations by allowing the Kashmiris to exercise their inalienable right to self-determination through a free and impartial plebiscite under the auspices of the United Nations as enshrined in the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.”
India had earlier rejected what it called an attempt by Pakistan to bring material changes to a “disputed territory”, after Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan declared the provisional provincial status to Gilgit-Baltistan.
A 17- year-old boy from India’s Uttar Pradesh reportedly murdered his father and then watched Indian TV series Crime Patrol to destroy the evidence of his crime.
According to Indian media reports, the incident took place on May 2 when the boy got upset at his father who yelled at him. He reportedly killed his 42-year old father, Manoj Mishra, by hitting him on the head with an iron rod and then strangling him to death as he lay unconscious.
Later, the same night, the boy with the help of his mother, carried the body on his scooty to a forest area about five kilometers away and burnt it with petrol and a toilet cleaner to destroy the identity.
On May 3, police found the partially burnt body that remained unidentified for almost three weeks as no missing person report was filed in any police station.
The family, finally, lodged a missing person complaint on May 27 under pressure from ISKCON officials since Manoj Mishra worked there as a donation collector.
Some of his colleagues identified that the body was of Manoj from his spectacles. The victim’s colleagues at ISKCON said that they did not doubt his prolonged absence since Manoj often used to travel to preach Bhagavad Gita.
Mathura Superintendent of Police Udai Shanker Singh said that whenever police called Manoj’s son for questioning, he would evade coming and would instead ask the police under what provisions of the law they were trying to interrogate him.
However, when police checked his mobile phone, they found a history of the boy watching Crime Patrol episodes at least 100 times. Police said after several rounds of questioning, the boy finally broke down and admitted to his crime.
The police arrested the boy and his mother Sangeeta Mishra, 39. They have been booked for murder and destroying evidence.
The 11-year-old sister of the accused has been handed over to the grandparents.
Two men allegedly cheated an Indian man from Uttar Pardesh by selling him “Aladdin ka Chiragh” or Aladdin’s Lamp for Rs 2.5 crore.
According to reports, Dr Laeek Khan had returned to India from London a few years ago. He approached the police to register a complaint against the two men. In his complaint, the doctor stated that the men pretending to be tantriks or occultists and told him that the gold lamp would help him fulfill all his wishes.
Dr Khan said that it all started in 2018 when he would frequently visit a female patient named Sameena for post-surgery dressing.
It was through her that the doctor met a tantrik, who claimed that he had magical powers. The man promised to give the doctor ‘Aladdin Ka Chiragh‘ and make him a billionaire.
According to Indian news reports, the tantrik and his friend would show the doctor a ‘jinn‘ (genie) appear from the lamp but would not allow him to take it home, saying that touching it would be ominous for him.
Believing what he saw, the doctor said he paid the men Rs 2.5 crore in installments and was finally able to take home the lamp recently. However, later, the doctor realised that the ‘jinn’ he had been seeing was the husband of the woman.
Khan realised that he was being cheated on and contacted the local police. This week, the police arrested the two accused Islamuddin and his friend Anees while a search for the woman is underway.
India has lodged a protest over the issuance of Saudi Arabia’s new currency notes that do not feature Jammu and Kashmir as a part of India.
The 20 Riyal bank note was issued by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority on October 24 to mark the Kingdom’s presidency of the upcoming G20 summit in November. The note, with an image of the world map, has shown Kashmir as separate states and not belonging to any of the rival Asian states of Pakistan and India.
Anger erupted in India because of the map, even though the country has illegally occupied the territory of Kashmir and there is a United Nations Security Council (UNSC) decree recognising it as an international dispute.
External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Anurag Srivastava is reported to have said that New Delhi has raised “serious concerns” about the banknote both at the Saudi Embassy in India, as well as at India’s embassy in Riyadh.
“We have taken up this gross misrepresentation of India’s external territorial boundaries on an official and legal banknote of Saudi Arabia… we’ve asked the Saudi side to take urgent corrective steps in this regard,” he said.
Additionally, it was found that the distortion was in the Pakistani map as well.

The G20 summit is set to be held from November 21-22 this year in Saudi Arabia and India is a part of it. Although the relations between Saudi Arabia and India are seen as healthy, with Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman referring to India’s Narendra Modi as his “elder brother” during a meeting last year, the new developments might create some hurdles.
Earlier, India put a ban on Qatar-based broadcaster Al Jazeera in 2015 for publishing a map of the country that excluded Kashmir. Also, the country has frequently censored the Economist magazine for showing Kashmir as a disputed region.
Federal Minister for Information Shibli Faraz has hinted at legal action against former National Assembly speaker Ayaz Sadiq for accusing the government of releasing Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman of the Indian Air Force (IAF) under pressure, fearing Indian attack.
“What Ayaz Sadiq said is not forgivable,” he tweeted, adding that law will take its course now.

The statement by the government’s premier spokesperson comes a day after Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) Major General Babar Iftikhar set the record straight about the events surrounding February 27 — the day Pakistan downed two IAF planes and captured Abhinandan.
“Yesterday such a statement was given in which facts were attempted to be twisted surrounding the events that day,” the military spokesperson said during a media briefing that had come a day after Sadiq among other senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) parliamentarians accused the government of taking the decision to release the pilot under pressure.
Earlier, Sadiq had said that FM Qureshi “was present in the meeting, which Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan had refused to attend”.
“India never attacked Pakistan but the government nonetheless handed over Abhinandan to the Indian authorities,” he had said, adding that it was the PTI government and not the opposition that had passed an ordinance to “facilitate” Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav.
Reacting to his claims, the FM regretted how “responsible people were making irresponsible statements”.

He said he had not expected the former NA speaker to say Pakistan let go Abhinandan under pressure and that his comments were “contrary to the truth”.
Qureshi explained that in the meeting, the government had taken all parliamentary leaders into confidence regarding the intelligence reports it had received but made no mention of the captured Indian pilot. “Highly irresponsible statements are being issued for political gains,” he lamented while also slamming the opposition for its stance on Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav.
“These people are misleading the nation on the issues of Kulbhushan and Abhinandan,” he had maintained.
Ahead of the military’s version, Sadiq had also questioned PM Imran’s motives behind delaying a meeting related to Abhinandan on the day of his capture.

Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mahmood Qureshi had “begged the opposition to release Abhinandan, otherwise, according to the FM, India would have attacked Pakistan at 9 pm that day,” they had claimed.
Reacting to the claims that have been made a mountain of by Indian media, Maj Gen Iftikhar said that after the Pulwama incident, on February 26, India violated all international principles and attacked Pakistan. “They not only faced defeat but humiliation all over the world,” Geo News quoted him as saying.
“Our timely response derailed their efforts. Their planes and the explosives they had come to rain down on the Pakistani people, they instead dropped on empty mountains. They left in a panicked state after being confronted by our planes.”

He said that in response, the Pakistan Army, in accordance with the people’s wishes, sought to “teach the enemy a lesson”.
“On this decision, all civil and military leadership was on a single page. We responded with full might in the light of day and shot down two planes, along with arresting their pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan [Varthaman],” said the ISPR DG, recalling the events.
He said that the enemy was in such a panicked state that it shot down its own helicopter.
“We gave them a bloody nose and they are still hurting.”
Maj Gen Iftikhar said that Pakistan secured a “clear victory” that day against India. He said not only was India’s hollowed state of preparedness exposed that day but the entire Pakistani nation’s heads were held high.
He said this triumph was not only celebrated in Pakistan but the entire world recognised it. “India held its non-availability of Rafale jets accountable for the defeat,” he added.
The ISPR chief said that the government of Pakistan, in a measured and responsible move, decided to “give peace a chance” and hand over the captured war prisoner Wing Commander Abhinandan over. “The move, which was in accordance with the Geneva Convention, was lauded by the entire world.”
PML-N LEADER’SCLARIFICATION:
Ahead of the military spokesperson’s briefing, Sadiq questioned Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan’s motives behind delaying a meeting related to Abhinandan on the day of his capture.

He noted that PM Imran Khan had convened a meeting of parliamentary leaders pertaining to the Indian pilot but it saw a considerable delay in starting. “The prime minister, through Foreign Minister [Shah Mahmood Qureshi], had said that Abhinandan should be handed over to India immediately.
“What was the reason for a delay in the meeting?” Sadiq asked. “Was he taking dictation from Modi?”
“Did he not consider it appropriate to share with us [the reason for a delay]?” he inquired.
