    The coronavirus lockdown is affecting us all in different ways. While some of us are increasing our social media activity in a bid to remain connected, others are using this time to disconnect from the world and isolate themselves in the truest sense.

    Maya Ali, who has always maintained an active social media profile, has shared with her fans that she is taking a break from social media “to detox, to find inner peace and reset my whole system.”

    “Sometimes we need time to think and count our blessings,” she wrote.

    Maya added that her team will keep her fans updated about the ration bags that she and her friend Faiza Saqlain are distributing among the needy people in the society. In an interview, Maya had revealed that she had raised almost four million rupees in donations for these ration bags.

    Maya’s last appearance was in the film Parey Hut Love alongside Sheheryar Munawar. The actor has hinted that she will be seen in another film very soon.

    With cases of coronavirus on the rise around the globe, governments and people are stepping up their efforts to control the spread of the virus as much as possible.

    Maya Ali, who was recently in the United States for charity events, took to social media to share that she recently took the coronavirus test and thankfully it was negative. She shared that while she waited for her results, she was filled with stress and anxiety and urged people to take the threat seriously and take all the necessary precautions.

    Earlier Humayun Saeed and Adnan Siddiqui also shared that they were going into self-isolation after they returned from their trip to the US.

Maya wrote: “The one thing I always witness during the PSL matches is that we all gather for Pakistan as a nation, and I get really emotional to see crowds saying Pakistan Zindabad and that moment makes me feel more proud being Pakistani.”

    Maya Ali is no stranger to link-ups. Over the years, the actor has been linked to several of her co-stars. But among them all, her onscreen chemistry with Osman Khalid Butt had their fans swooning and the two began to be popularly known as Osmaya.

    While fans rooted for the two to get together in real-life, some people started speculating that the two have tied the knot after pictures of them in wedding attire were shared on social media. Turned out that the pictures were from a magazine cover shoot and not from their “marriage.”

    Nonetheless, every now and then, people raise questions pertaining to their relationship status. On a recent post by Maya, an Instagram user commented, “Is she still married with Osman Khalid Butt? Never seen them together.”

    To this, Maya replied, “Did I, my family or Osman or his family ever mention this thing anywhere? You have a right to ask a question but please don’t give any statements about anyone…Thank you.”

    The comment appears to have been removed.

    Osman and Maya made their debut in Aik Naeey Cinderella, following which they appeared in Aunn Zara. Their third drama together was the superhit Diyar-e-Dil. Their last drama together was Sanam which aired in 2016. Maya has often referred to Osman as her best friend and the two have walked the ramp and appeared on the red carpet together. However, they have never hinted at anything more than that.

    Meanwhile, Maya who has had a stellar year given the success of her second film Parey Hut Love, also reflected upon the past year and shared why it was so special for her.

    Maya Ali has always been expressive about the bond she shares with her mother and the latest social media post which she has made for her mother is surely the sweetest thing you will see today on the internet.

    The Teefa in trouble actor took to Instagram — a photo and video-sharing social networking platform, to express her love for her Amma and wrote a heartfelt caption, dedicated to her mother.

    She wrote: “With time you grow older, and your nature changes but for your parents, you never get older and that is the best blessing from ALLAH for all children… Today I was sitting with Amma after such a long time and sharing all the things and all of a sudden she hugged me and told me how strong I am, and how proud she is of me, and all I could say is that Amma “yeh sab app se he to seekha hai” but after this emotional episode, I realized one thing, no matter how old you get you always need a hug and cuddle from your parents to relax you and make you stronger… Amma I love you for everything, for understanding me when I don’t speak a word, when I laugh loud and you’re the one who knows I am trying to hide something, for those moments when I cry, you’re always by my side and saying, “bass bohat ho Gaya rona dhona?” for all the times you pray for me.

    She then made a request to all her followers, urging them to take out some time and sit with their parents and listen to them.
