    PTI leaders clash in Punjab Assembly over credit for September rally

    Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders had an altercation at the Punjab Assembly amongst themselves after having a heated debate over the party rally at Kahna on September 21.

    PTI’s Lahore President, Shiekh Imtiaz Mehmood and Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Farukh Javed Moon fought over the credit for the party rally, while the opposition leader of the Punjab Assembly, Malik Ahmed Khan, was also present, Public News reported.

    MPA Firdous Shamim Naqvi cited poor performance, adding that the event did not live up to expectations and criticised PTI leadership for not carrying the rally beyond 6 PM.

    Shiekh Imtiaz, in response, said that with hindrances, it is an achievement to have held a rally; adding that it cost 35 lac.

    While questioning this cost, Moon pointed out that rallies had been held in the past as well, but why did it cost this much now? This infuriated Imtiaz, and both the members ended up in a physical fight.

    Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Faisal Karim Kundi, while recalling the Afghan diplomat’s refusal to stand up for the Pakistan anthem in the presence of Chief Minister (CM) KP Ali Amin Gandapur, has claimed that the same Afghan diplomat stood up for the anthem on August 14 during a flag hoisting ceremony.

    Appearing on the Samaa News programme ‘Mere Sawal With Absar Alam,’ Kundi revealed that the Afghan diplomat, along with an Iranian diplomat and an American diplomat, stood up for the national anthem as a respectful gesture.

    He said, “14 August ko mein nay bulaya thaa, tab inhain koi takleef nahi thi or national anthem kay ihteraam may kharay b huway thay.”

    Lambasting CM KP Ali Amin Gandapur’s stance of showing no objection to the disrespect, Kundi said he appeared to be the provincial CM of Afghanistan.

    Earlier, during an official event in Peshawar to commemorate 12th Rabi ul Awal, the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), two Afghan diplomats deliberately refused to stand up for Pakistan’s anthem.

    After strong discontent from Pakistan, Afghan Consulate Peshawar spokesperson Shahid Ullah clarified, “The Consul General did not stand due to the music in the anthem. We have even banned our own national anthem for the same reason.”

    Jerusalem post article declares Imran Khan a central figure in Pak-Israel ties

    The Jerusalem Post, one of Israel’s most widely-read newspapers, has declared former Pakistani Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan a central figure in normalising Pak-Israel ties.

    An article written by Harry Richer asserts, “Figures like Khan could very well be central in changing both public opinion and military policy” for Pak-Israel ties.

    While reviewing the state of Muslim countries trying to normalise ties with Israel for their self-interest, Richer asserted that despite Khan’s pro-Palestine stance, the former PM had hinted at shaping Pakistan’s foreign policy towards Israel.

    Richer predicted, “Normalisation with Israel would bring about significant economic benefits, including technological support in agriculture, cybersecurity, and defence.”

    Richer added, “A change in leadership would most probably also be needed for any resolution to move forward, and figures like Khan could very well be central in changing both public opinion and military policy.”

    Pakistan does not recognise Israel and has long been an ardent and very vocal supporter of Palestine. The ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza has strengthened public opinion in Pakistan against Israel.

    As of October 7, more than 41,000 people, the majority of whom are women and children, have been slaughtered by Israel since October 7. Lancet, the respected medical journal, puts the figure at close to 180,000 dead.

    Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has stated that Justice Mansoor Ali Shah will replace Chief Justice Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa as the country’s next apex judge.

    Speaking to ARY News, the former Foreign Minister said, “On October 26, Justice Mansoor will become the next chief justice — no doubt.”

    Responding to the formation of the Federal Constitutional Court (FCC), Chairman PPP said that the Supreme Court’s workload is so heavy that it affects the judiciary’s performance.

    He added, “We waited almost 50 years for justice in Shaheed [Zulfiqar Ali] Bhutto’s murder case.”

    Expecting a constructive role from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) over the twenty-sixth amendments, Bhutto said, “It is difficult for [the government] to discuss constitutional amendments with PTI along with its input.”

    On the same day, appearing in the Geo News programme Capital Talk, Bhutto clarified that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) was crafting its amendments draft.

    “PPP will prepare its draft regarding the formation of the constitutional court and will share it with Maulana Fazlur Rehman,” he concluded.

    During an appearance as a guest on Showtime with Ramiz Raja, Abbas shared a story about his film career, revealing that 18 of his films flopped.

    Ramiz Raja asked “So your track record in films is also quite something. We’ve heard that out of 19 films, 18 were flops.”

    Waseem Abbas replied, “Out of 19, 18 didn’t work. When my film would flop, and I would be sitting in the studio because we had our own production house, I wasn’t cast by my own production house. I used to tell my father, I don’t want to work in this, and he would ask, ‘Why?’ I would reply, ‘Because the film will fail.’ So, when a producer would come to sign me, I would look at his face and think, ‘Why has he come here? I’ve already given 15 flops, and now he’s back again?’ Then, when the film would be released, I’d ask, ‘Why isn’t that guy showing up at the studio?’ and they’d say, ‘He’s left.’”

    Founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, has shared a message from her brother pertaining to the September 10 arrests of PTI lawmakers from parliament premises.

    She claimed in the tweet that Khan received information from credible and reliable sources, which disclosed, “A decision has been taken to eliminate Imran Khan.”

    The former Prime Minister claimed that a plan had been made to finish him in the style of former Egyptian President Mohammad Morsi.

    While lambasting the country’s premier intelligence agency, Khan claims, “Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI) controls Adiala jail Rawalpindi.”

    Aleema Khan stated that all concocted cases have been cleared against Khan, but he is still in prison.

    On Tuesday at midnight 3 AM, plain clothes men entered the parliament, cut the electricity supply, and arrested at least six PTI legislators.

    Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar Khan, Sher Afzal Marwat, Advocate Shoaib Shaheen, and Zain Qureshi were also arrested. Gohar was released after a brief detention.

    Speaking at parliament yesterday, Gohar clarified that the rally was delayed amid road blockages, which prevented the Chief Minister (CM) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Ali Amin Gandapur, from reaching the Sangjani area for the rally.

    Senior journalist Absar Alam, while talking on Samaa news, warned of increasing political instability and the possibility of Governor’s Rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province after the KP Assembly issued a resolution on September 10, demanding court marital of army officers allegedly involved in politics.

    The resolution demanded that state institutions must remain within their constitutional domain while calling their actions against elected leaders ‘high treason.’

    Absar Alam noted that the political situation is quite concerning. He also stated that a parliamentary party meeting occurred at CM KP’s house in which Ali Amin Gandapur assured provincial ministers that he stands by every word he spoke at the recent PTI’s rally on September 8.

    Absar stated that the ministers assure the CM of their support and vowed that much harsher language would used in future political rallies.

    “This kind of resolution is unprecedented and historically, we have not seen such harsh resolutions. If the situation does not improve then I think that the federal government might consider imposing Governor’s rule in KP,” warned Absar Alam.

    Founder Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has claimed that Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur was abducted after a power show at Sangjani.

    Speaking to journalist at Adila jail, former Prime Minister Khan allegedly said that the establishment had tricked him over the September 8 rally at Sangjani and arrested PTI’s top leadership.

    Khan expounding on the postponed rally of August 22 he said, “PTI leader Azam Swati visited Adiala jail at 7 AM and conveyed the establishment message.” This was followed by Khan rescheduling the rally in Islamabad.

    Khan alleged that the establishment had offered him ‘acquittal in all cases’ if he remained silent for three years.

    He criticized the incumbent government for barring the PTI supporters from reaching the Sangjani area by blocking the roads with containers.

    Responding to Chief Justice Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa’s tenure extension, Khan warned of street agitation if parliament tries to extend CJP’s tenure through constitutional amendments.

    Founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has said that the new Tosha Khana case is over now, after the Supreme Court’s verdict on the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) amendments was released.

    Speaking to journalists at Adiala jail, the former Prime Minister said that he should be joyful, hinting at the closure of the Al Qadir trust case, too.

    “Public representatives did corruption, then passed laws to finish their cases,” he remarked.

    He said that some people are plotting against incumbent Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Ali Amin Gandapur, and Khan advised his party not to undermine Gandapur: “Those who are plotting against CM KP shouldn’t complain if they don’t get a party ticket later,” Khan said.

    Commenting on the August 5 Director General (DG) Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) press conference, Khan said that if the army announces its apolitical stance, it is good for the country.

    He further stated that former Chief Of Army Staff (COAS) General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa should also be sue along with former spymaster General Faiz Hameed in military court.
