Mariyam Nafees is tired of Pakistani society’s double standards for women and men.

The famous actress has said that women do not feel safe because of men in our society and they cannot go out because of men.

Talking on the FHM Podcast, Mariyam stated, “If boys walk alone in our society, even if they are semi-naked, no one can say anything to them.”

She said that our society has this idea that when a son is born in a house, people say proudly, “Oh, Allah has given me a son, the son is free, he can roam anywhere like a wild ox.”

Nafees said, “The same rules and principles for daughters should be applied to sons as well.”

She added, “I am not saying that the girls should be taken out of the house at 8 or 9 o’clock, I am saying that sons should also be called home in the evening.” The host said, “All of Karachi will be empty at night,” to which Mariyam replied, “At least it will be safe.”

She further explained, “What I mean is that the society should be such that neither the daughters have to be called back home nor the sons, there is no difference between the two, you are training the daughters very well to eat cook, pray, but what are you teaching your sons?”

Children of polygamous marriages usually suffer from mental trauma as both sets of parents tend to fight but Pakistani actress Yashma Gill is an exception.

She shared information about her father’s two marriages and her relationship with both her mothers in an interview.

Recently, she appeared as a guest on ‘Zabardast show,’ where she openly discussed her career as well as her personal life.

Answering a question during the interview, she revealed, “My father had two marriages. His first wife passed away two years ago. His mother-in-law, unfortunately, also passed away before I was born.”

According to Yashma Gill, before the death of her stepmother, the two mothers had a very good and deep relationship.”She revealed, ‘I have a large family, especially when everyone, including my siblings and step-siblings, gets together. We all share a close bond, and in the last years of my stepmother’s life, the two moms also developed a good relationship.

She said, “I have a good relationship with my step-siblings. They are all married and live in their own homes, while my mother lives with me in Lahore.”

Actress Hareem Farooq, who is currently playing a negative role in the recently released drama Bismil, has revealed that as a child, she felt she was part of a royal family and always dreamed of becoming a princess like Lady Diana.

Hareem Farooq appeared on Nida Yasir’s morning show, accompanied by other actors from Sawira Nadeem Samit’s Bismil team.

In response to a question during the show, Hareem said, “Since childhood, I had a desire to be a princess like Lady Diana, and I always used to ask my parents about my relationship with the royal family.”

According to the actress, she felt she was part of the royal family and only wanted to be a princess, but her parents always forbade her from having such dreams.

She said, “When the ghost of becoming Lady Diana left my mind, I thought of becoming a social leader like Mother Teresa.”

She added, “Then I considered that to become like Mother Teresa, I would have to make a lot of sacrifices; I would have to give up a lot, which is a difficult task, so I gave up that intention too.”

Farooq clarified that she never considered becoming an actress as a child; she did not want such a life. The actress said that she is a woman who enjoys life, and “the day I do not laugh, I feel that my life has been spent in vain.”

According to her, “Problems come in everyone’s life, and problems have to end one day, but it is good to face problems and live with a smile and always thank God.”
