    In a bizarre turn of events, a man from Bajaur district was arrested by local police for making and spreading a fake Facebook post claiming his best friend had married a British woman.

    Muhammad Gulab posted a fake picture of a woman, claiming that Ela from Britain had travelled to the Bajaur district to marry his best friend. When the viral post caught the attention of the police, they quickly dispatched a team to investigate the presence of an undocumented foreigner in the area.
    However, the post was found to be fake and Gulab was arrested for spreading false information on social media.

    News sources reported that local residents were enraged by the arrest and were protesting against it

    This case comes to light after a string of foreign women from Chile, Mexico, India and China travelled to the province to marry the men they had met on social media. Recently, 49-year-old Rosa from Mexico travelled to Buner to marry 17-year-old Izaz Ali, after meeting him on Facebook.

    Another case emerged when 36-year-old Nicole Ilgesias from Chile travelled to marry Ikramullah, whom she met on Tiktok.

    Rosa, a 49-year-old woman from Mexico, has flown to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to marry 18-year-old Izaz Ali, a young man she met on Facebook.

    According to Geo, a police official has confirmed that Rosa arrived in KP on June 17 with complete documentation to marry Ali, a resident of Buner.

    The two have married in a lavish ceremony, with Rosa changing her name to Ayesha after embracing Islam.

    According to DPO Shah Hassan, Ayesha flew back to Mexico on July 19. Ali is currently completing his Matric exams and will fly to Mexico once his results are out.

    This is the fourth case in recent weeks of a foreign woman flying to KPK to marry a local man. On Saturday it was revealed that 36-year-old Nicola from Chile flew to Upper Dir to marry Ikramullah, whom she had met on TikTok.

    The Bollywood film ‘Bawal’ has been slammed on social media for using the trauma of the Holocaust ss the backdrop of a domestic spat between a couple. Starring Jhanwi Kapoor and Varun Dhavan, the film revolves around a couple who travel around Europe to visit places central to World War II.

    The film had been met with intense scrutiny, with many calling out the film makers because of several dialogues. “Every couple goes through their Auschwitz” and “We all too are a little like Hitler, aren’t we? We aren’t satisfied with what we have. We want what others have,” are two of the objectionable lines in the film.

    The Simon Wiesenthal Center (SWC), which preserves the history of the victims of the Holocaust, has now issued a public statement where they called for the streaming giant Amazon Prime to remove the film from its service for “outlandish abuse of the Nazi Holocaust as a plot device”.

    “Auschwitz is not a metaphor. It is the quintessential example of Man’s capacity for Evil,” spoke SWC Associate Dean and Director of Global Social Action, Rabbi Abraham Cooper.

    By having the protagonist in this movie declare that ‘Every relationship goes through their Auschwitz,’ Nitesh Tiwari, trivializes and demeans the memory of 6 million murdered Jews and millions of others who suffered at the hands of Hitler’s genocidal regime.

    If the filmmaker’s goal was to gain PR for their movie by reportedly filming a fantasy sequence at the Nazi death camp, he has succeeded. Amazon Prime should stop monetizing Bawaal by immediately removing this banal trivialization of the suffering and systematic murder of millions of victims of the Nazi Holocaust,” Rabbi Cooper concluded.

    The Sun published an interview with Sumaira, a bridal model, who revealed incriminating text messages between the two with the boxer requesting her to send nudes.

    The boxer has now offered a public apology to his wife, stating that he was provoked into cheating after many women contacted him on his Instagram account:

    Khan said on his Instagram, adding that his wife is not to blame. “I thank her for the help she got me. I like to apologise to those who I may have hurt. I made a mistake and I was provoked when they slip into my DMs.”

    Faryal had fuelled separation rumors by posting a cryptic note on her Instagram stories on Friday: “Fall in love with someone who doesn’t make you think love is hard.”

    According to Daily Mail, sources have that revealed the couple, who have been married for 10 years, had separated while Faryal decides if she wishes to end their marriage or not.

    After Anju from India, a woman from China, Gao Fang, 20, has travelled to Pakistan to marry her lover Javed, 18, who lives in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

    According to the Lower Dir District Police Officer, the two met on Snapchat and remained in contact for three years. The woman travelled on a tourist visa to the Samar Bagh area. Currently, the police has provided Fang with security and restricted her movement due to security concerns.

    The Pakistani man, Javed, lived in Bajaur district, but had shifted to live with his uncle in Lower Dir.

    According to Aaj News, Fang converted to Islam, taking up the Muslim name, Kiswa. Javed also had plans to visit China in the near future.

    This is the second case this week where a foreign woman has travelled to Pakistan to marry a man here.

    While the rest of the world (completely excluding Punjab) is celebrating the release of Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, veteran actress Nadia Jamil seems to not share the same opinion. Jamil took to Twitter to share some of the problems she noticed in the film.

    In her Twitter post, the ‘Sitara Aur Mehrunisa’ actress shared that the film mocked a pregnant doll, who was only shown twice.

    “Being pregnant is the most natural thing in the world. Get over it. To encourage little girls to see it as something repulsive is an awful idea,” she wrote.

    She went on to write that the film also discouraged flat feet, calling them ‘beautiful’.

    “I have flat feet. They are beautiful. I dont know why everyone is puking over flat feet. Another unhealthy thing to teach little kids.”

    Nadia also shared the film was not interested in supporting equality because it encourages “bullying and domineering men”

    “The Barbie world is awful/cruel 2 the Ken’s & Barbies are never interested in equality. They are interested in bullying & domineering men,almost in revenge 4 the real world. Another s**** message 2 kids.”

    “You missed the entire point. It’s a satirical take on beauty standards perpetuated by ‘Stereotypical Barbie,’ which is the Robbie’s character’s name. The OTT manner in which this is conveyed is to highlight the absurdity of these notions. Her entire journey is one of unlearning.”

An Indian woman has travelled all way to Pakistan to meet her Facebook friend who is a Pakistani young man.

    35-year-old Ms. Anju has arrived in Upper Dir district to spend time with her 29-year-old Facebook friend, Nasrullah. Ms. Anju, hailing from the Kailor area of Uttar Pradesh, holds valid travel documents to visit Nasrullah’s village, Kulsho, reports Dawn.

    An Upper Dir district police officer, Mushtaq Khan, confirmed that her visa is legal, allowing her to stay in the region for a month.

    Ms. Anju revealed that she and Nasrullah initially connected on Facebook, and their friendship eventually blossomed into a deep love, leading her to make the decision to travel from India to Pakistan.

    Both Ms. Anju and Nasrullah informed the police that they are in love with each other and intend to get married.

    Ms. Anju is a divorcee and follows the Christian faith. She arrived in Rawalpindi, from where Nasrullah accompanied her to Dir Upper on July 22. On the other hand, Nasrullah, a permanent resident of the village, holds a BSc degree from Government College, Dir.

    Authorities have confirmed that Ms. Anju’s travel documents are in order, and she has been permitted to stay with Nasrullah, with instructions for him to take care of her during her visit.

    Designer Zara Shahjahan landed in a social media storm on Friday when her tweet about a recent survey that ranked Pakistani passport as the fourth worst in the world, went viral.

    Her take divided social media with most agreeing with her, while others saying she was unaware of the privilege and wealth she had, easing most travel hurdles

    She had written:

    “This shows nothing. I’ve travelled he world with my Pakistani passport and would never give it up for any other. This is a lie.”

    Some people agreed with the fashion designer, saying that they never had a problem in travelling abroad with the Pakistani passport.

    While others called her out for what they said was an elitist take, sharing their own experiences of difficulty in getting visas.

    One user wrote: “I got my visa after a whole damn year to come to Australia. I applied in 2015 and made it there in 2017. The problem was, that I had a full scholarship and not a lot of my own funds to show. See, if you’ve got a lot of $$$ in the bank, visas can come as easy as this stupid take.”
