Road rage? Video claims to show Rajab Butt in a scuffle on Lahore’s Thokar Niaz Baig

A viral video showing a physical altercation on Thokar Niaz Baig Road in Lahore has sparked allegations that popular Pakistani YouTuber Rajab Butt was one of the participants.

In the footage circulating online, a man can be seen fighting with individuals inside and outside a car in the middle of the road, while passersby recorded the scene. Netizens claim that the man in question is Rajab Butt, who was reportedly accompanied by fellow content creators Shazi, Musa, and Haider at the time of the incident.

So far, the reason behind the alleged fight remains unknown, and Rajab Butt has yet to respond to the claims stating that the person involved was him. No official statement has been released by local authorities either.

Social media has erupted with mixed reactions:

“Jan bujh ke karta hai yeh sab views ke liye.”

    “Such an attention seeker!”

“I don’t know why people forget their ethics after getting fame… no matter what, you can’t buy etiquettes with money.”

Rajab Butt is no stranger to controversy. Known for his bold and often divisive content, this latest incident adds to his long list of headline-grabbing moments.

The YouTuber returned to Pakistan just a week ago after spending time abroad, reportedly due to a case filed against him under Section 295 of the Pakistan Penal Code. His return was followed by a series of public appearances and vlogs that quickly attracted attention.

Earlier, Butt faced backlash for launching a perfume named “295”, a reference to Pakistan’s blasphemy law. The move sparked widespread criticism and resulted in a case registered against him at the Nishtar Colony police station under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA). The FIR accused him of hurting public sentiments and promoting indecency.

The controversy deepened after Butt referenced the late Indian rapper Sidhu Moose Wala’s blasphemy allegations and linked them to himself. His statement and the perfume’s name angered religious groups and social activists.

In response, Butt issued a public apology from Masjid-e-Haram in Makkah, where he recited Darood Sharif, stating:

“My wealth, life, parents, children, and every drop of my blood are dedicated to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).”

He claimed his statements were taken out of context and urged religious scholars and authorities to “cleanse their hearts” and reconsider the charges. He also alleged that a key word was edited out of his video, which led to a fatwa being issued against him.

Despite the apology, TLP leader Haider Ali Shah Gillani filed an FIR against Butt for insulting religious sentiments and hate speech. If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison.

Following intense criticism, Rajab Butt announced he would discontinue the “295” perfume, admitting his remarks may have been poorly worded and expressing regret for any offence caused.

  • I don’t want to praise another woman in front of my wife: Ahsan Khan

I don’t want to praise another woman in front of my wife: Ahsan Khan

Renowned actor Ahsan Khan opened up in an exclusive interview with The Current, reflecting on a viral moment from an old talking show where he was asked about his celebrity crush but he chose not to answer.

During the interview, the host asked, “In the Mazaaq Raat show, they asked you about your crush, but you didn’t respond. Why?”

Ahsan responded with a smile, “I think it’s okay to ask who someone’s crush is. It’s a normal question. Who wouldn’t have a crush on someone? It would be abnormal not to like someone people just don’t always admit it. But because my wife was sitting right next to me, I didn’t want to answer. It felt disrespectful.”

He continued, “When your wife is with you, it’s not right to praise another woman. Meri wife sun rahi, aur ma kisi aur kahtoon ki tareef kar raha hoon, ke wo kitni haseen hai. Mujhe nhi krni thi.”

Ahsan went on to explain that he always tries to be thoughtful about other people’s emotions especially those closest to him.

“I care deeply about my people’s emotions especially those at home. My wife didn’t mind at all, but later she did say, ‘What was the need to say that?’ She told me, ‘You speak the same way at home too, always saying this person is nice.’”

He added, “I wanted to send a message that when you’re with your spouse, it’s better not to praise someone else too much. Even if you don’t mean anything by it, it can still come across as disrespectful.”

He also commented on how friendly environments on set can sometimes blur lines.

“Sometimes you’re so comfortable with co-stars or interviewers that you say things without thinking. That’s when misunderstandings happen like the recent controversy involving Ayeza Khan and her husband.”

Wrapping up the conversation he said, “If someone is good, their goodness will be visible. If someone’s bad, that too will come out. Time reveals everything.”

Kaynaat follows up, “How will you survive?”

Her mother responds, “I’m actually worried about your grandma now, how will she spend her days?”

Kaynaat laughs and asks again, “But what will you do?”

Her mum, looking disappointed, says, “I was watching the drama, Naqab… but now the next episode won’t be aired.”

  • Ahsan Khan reacts to claims about THAT medicine scene

Ahsan Khan reacts to claims about THAT medicine scene

In a candid interview with The Current, actor Ahsan Khan has shared his thoughts on the recent controversy surrounding a scene in his drama Daayan involving a reference to what viewers assumed was Viagra.

During the interview, the host quoted a conversation from the show Kya Drama Hai, where actresses Atiqa Odho, Marina Khan, and Nadia Khan, while discussing Daayan, assumed that the medicine mentioned in the scene is typically given to men to help them treat erectile dysfunction.

Surprised, Ahsan immediately replied, laughing, “What the hell are you talking about?” When the host asked if he had or had not seen the show, he responded, “I have seen it. I’ll explain to you.”

He then clarified the origin of the controversy, explaining the plot in which Nihaal, played by Mehwish Hayat, grows closer to Zawar Shah, played by Ahsan Khan, after a marriage is arranged between them.

“So the first time she comes near me… the maid tells her to give ‘sir’ [Ahsan Khan] medicine for his headache. This is said clearly,” Ahsan Khan stated.

He clarified that no reference to Viagra was intended, but some viewers misunderstood it. “Using the excuse of a headache medicine, she brings a glass of water to me. So maybe because of that [they misunderstood],” he added.

Alluding to the viral memes made about the scene, he said, “In fact, it became a little embarrassing because memes started circulating. And on those memes… I don’t want to name it, but whatever ‘improvement medicine’ it is… [they] used its tag and put my face on it and Shabab’s too.”

Addressing comments made by senior artists Atiqa Odho, Marina Khan, Nadia Khan, and Muqarram, he said, “Whatever Atiqa, Marina, Nadia said — I mean, I love Atiqa, Marina, and Nadia. They are like my colleagues, and Muqarram also — but they said it funnily, but didn’t say too much, I think.”

When asked how he deals with such controversies, Ahsan responded thoughtfully: “Actually, usually I feel that our social media life is one or two days long… Anything that goes viral on social media doesn’t last long. So, mostly I ignore it, unless and until it’s personally harming your reputation or your family’s reputation.”

Reflecting on the entire experience, Ahsan concluded with a smile, “When you hear so many good comments, then even if a little controversy comes or something funny happens, I… I enjoyed it, by the way.”

In an episode of Kya Baat Hai aired two weeks ago, Nadia Khan and Atiqa Odho discussed the much-talked-about medicine scene from the drama Daayan.

Nadia Khan jokingly said, “Ahsan Khan told us about the headache medicine, but it sounded a bit strange,” to which Atiqa Odho responded, “But he is young; he doesn’t need Viagra.”

Nadia then added with a laugh, “I know, they are happy, they have a happy marriage, so obviously that means the bedroom scene must be fine.”

‘I kept mum to protect my own’: Maria B breaks silence on influencer payment controversy

Pakistani designer Maria B has finally broken her silence after days of online backlash over an influencer payment dispute, and she’s taking the matter to court.

In a video posted on Instagram, Maria B addressed the issue directly, sharing her side of the story and defending her team.

Her caption read, “I was quiet for a reason… but now that we are going to court… here you go.”

The designer revealed that a junior team member, a new PR girl, was handling communications when the misunderstanding happened.

“One of these influencers reached out, said she loved our brand, and wanted to collaborate,” Maria B explained in her video. “I handed over the conversation to a young team member. A mistake was made. A couple of hundred dollars were involved, but it was never about not paying. It was just a delay.”

She added that the influencer also kept a pair of clothes, and clarified that no one from her team ever refused to pay.

“We work with thousands of influencers. Do you really think we couldn’t pay a few hundred dollars?” she said. “My team even reached out and asked the influencer not to make it public, but she posted a video anyway.”

Maria B said she chose silence to protect her employee, who was already under immense pressure from the backlash.

“She’s human, she made a mistake. I wasn’t going to throw her under the bus,” she added.

Earlier, influencer Türkan Atay had accused Maria B of unprofessional behaviour and non-payment after a shoot in Turkey. She claimed she was paid a lump sum despite clearly stating she charged per dress, as she was covering all location costs herself.

Türkan later posted screenshots of their conversation and alleged that Maria B deleted her messages to avoid accountability.

“Why didn’t you pay our money? Why delete the chats?” Türkan asked in her response video.

Maria B’s brand had released a now-deleted statement saying: “There was a misunderstanding, but the influencer chose to make a defaming reel instead of resolving the matter in a meeting.”

The controversy didn’t stop there. Many online users and activists, including Leena Ghani, criticised Maria B for hiding behind public causes while neglecting ethical business practices.

“Speaking up for Palestine while silencing and exploiting a Turkish creator that’s hypocrisy,” Leena posted.

With the issue possibly heading to court, Maria B’s response has stirred even more debate. While some fans support her, others believe it’s time big brands take real accountability.

  • ‘Why do our heroines sound like children?’ Sarosh Ibrahim questions media’s obsession with infantilizing women

‘Why do our heroines sound like children?’ Sarosh Ibrahim questions media’s obsession with infantilizing women

Digital creator Sarosh Ibrahim’s recent Instagram video has sparked a crucial conversation about the portrayal of women in Pakistani dramas.

In one of her recent reels, Sarosh highlights a growing trend of female characters speaking in high-pitched, childlike voices and behaving in overly “cute” or timid ways. She called it part of a wider global pattern, where the entertainment industry compels women to gain recognition based on appearance, roles, and even how they sound.

“Infantilisation of women in media, the little girl voice syndrome—you have seen it all around you,” she highlights, including in the video scenes from popular Pakistani dramas, including Meem St Mohabbat.

She explains how the media frequently depicts female characters as weak, naive, and reliant on male guidance. “This establishes a stereotype that women are directionless and they need a man to guide them,” she adds.

Sarosh also links this pattern to deeper trauma responses, referencing global figures like Paris Hilton and Britney Spears—both known to have altered their voices early in their careers, reportedly a result of personal struggles.

In the Instagram caption, she wrote: “Recently, I came across numerous tweets (do we still call them that?) debating the child-like voice and mannerisms of female actors in Pakistani dramas… Let me know if I should discuss them in my stories if interested.”

The conversation quickly picked up. A user on X (formerly Twitter) pointed out how actor Alizeh Shah was recently trolled for having a naturally deeper voice in her Instagram reels. The user claimed that Alizeh had responded by revealing that many producers and directors expect heroines to use childish tones and mannerisms on-screen.

Alizeh didn’t hold back and she reposted Sarosh Ibrahim’s video featuring the X post to her story with the caption, “Finally someone spoke.”

In a follow-up story, she added:

“The high-pitched voices, the baby clothes, the overdone shyness?? Is it just ‘cuteness,’ or something deeper? It starts to look like we’re romanticizing childhood in women…

When we package adult women to look like little girls, aren’t we, in a way, feeding the very idea that fuels pedophilia? Maybe it’s time we ask…”

Both Sarosh and Alizeh’s remarks have struck a chord with many online, especially those tired of watching strong female leads reduced to shy, helpless caricatures.

‘Publicity stunt’: Fans react to Minahil Malik, singer Umair ending fight within a day

Pakistani TikToker Minahil Malik recently accused singer Umair Awan of incorporating personal details from her life into his new song Laareya, but the drama has now been resolved.

Just a day after the accusation, both appeared in a joint Instagram video, surprising fans with an unexpected truce.

Umair said, “Hello everyone, I’m Umair Awan and I’m currently at Farha Api’s salon. I want to make it clear that I have no issues with Minahil. All the misunderstandings between us have been resolved.”

Farha added, “Yes, I had requested Umair to come and end this fight. I also told Minahil to take back the application she submitted to the FIA. Now, there’s no fight between them.”

Minahil agreed, saying, “Yes, there’s no fight between us anymore.”

The sudden reconciliation led fans to believe that the entire conflict may have been a publicity stunt.

Social media reactions were mixed, “Nice way to promote a song!”

“The song got promoted… now the drama’s over ”

“Fake drama didn’t even get you views no point at all!”

Earlier, Minahil had threatened legal action against Umair for including private matters in Laareya. She gave him 24 hours to delete the song, claiming it violated her privacy.

She posted a video on Instagram, warning him: “I told you not to mess with me, Umair Awan. Now go and see what happened to your song—everything’s gone, bro. Go check on YouTube.”

In response, Umair Awan released his own video saying, “Minahil, you’re taking unfair advantage of my silence. You went ahead with legal action and even filed an FIR. But I’ll never delete the song. InshaAllah it will stay on YouTube.

And now the action I’m going to take, and the clip I’m going to add… just search Laareya by Umair Awan on YouTube. You’ll understand what a real clip is.”

Umair remained firm, refusing to take the song down.

The track, featuring Haris alongside Umair, was uploaded three days ago and has already crossed 99,000 views on YouTube.

  • TikToker Mr Patlo arrested in Dubai; Rajab Butt reacts, slams ‘toxic’ fans

TikToker Mr Patlo arrested in Dubai; Rajab Butt reacts, slams ‘toxic’ fans

One of Pakistan’s most famous TikTokers, Mr Patlo, has reportedly been arrested at Dubai Airport, sparking a wave of speculation across social media. While no official confirmation has been issued yet, digital platforms are flooded with claims that the arrest is linked to a disturbing case involving AI-generated videos.

Mr Patlo was scheduled to attend an exclusive event in Doha, Qatar, hosted by a new Pakistani app called Mate. Multiple influencers and content creators were invited to the event, including Rajab Butt, who personally urged Mr Patlo to join.

“I called him and said, ‘Bro, come to Doha for a day. Let’s do a little show together.’ He refused at first because of the license and meeting issues. But I insisted—and within 10 minutes, he said yes,” Rajab shared emotionally in a video message.

His ticket was booked late at night, and full protocol was arranged at Doha Airport. But the person who went to receive Patlo was left confused, as he never stepped off the plane.

Later, it was revealed that Patlo had been arrested during his layover at Dubai Airport, before he could even board his flight to Qatar.

While details are still unclear, some reports allege that the arrest may be tied to an online dispute that escalated into legal trouble. According to circulating claims, Mr Patlo’s fans reportedly created AI-edited videos targeting a female content creator’s family, sharing them widely on WhatsApp and social media platforms.

It’s alleged that the victim is based in Dubai, which could explain the swift action by UAE authorities. Sources say the person may have filed a formal complaint, leading to Patlo’s arrest.

Rajab Butt, who appeared heartbroken, slammed the toxic behaviour of some so-called fans. “You made vulgar AI videos involving someone’s sister or daughter… and now Patlo is paying the price.”

He defended Patlo fiercely, saying, “I swear by Allah, I don’t know the full story. But he’s my brother, not just a social media face; he’s family to me.”

He urged people to stop playing with lives behind screens. “Patlo is in jail, and you’re sitting comfortably in your homes. Be an artist, not a reason for someone’s downfall.”

Despite the turmoil, Rajab remains hopeful. “InshaAllah, Patlo will be released tomorrow. Everything will be fine.”

Known for his lavish Dubai lifestyle and high earnings from live TikTok sessions, Mr Patlo has amassed a huge fan following in recent years. His sudden arrest has sent shockwaves through the influencer community, raising questions about digital ethics, the misuse of AI, and fan accountability.

This article is based on social media sources. No official statement from UAE authorities or Mr Patlo’s legal team has been released yet.
